lifes been weird and sad , got so much stuff i wanna say dont even know if thats the right subred to but here goes.i m 18 , from Greece , first year in Uni and life is not the way i want it to bei live on my own , rent is being paid by mom and her husband , month pocket money given by dad and by my part time jobat some point in high school i understood that our school years were our most carefree years , tho only now do i really understand itman this post is gonna cramp my fingers shouldve used the pcused to hang out a lot till 2nd year of high school then in 3rd year cause of me studying more i was hanging out less , used to have around 4groups of ppl to hang around then only one , cliche but i wasnt anyone special in school , gotta mention i went to a music middle-high school , only highlights i remember are in 2th-3rd grade trading blows with a girl (think she was 5th grade) ,3rd grade kissing a girl in her cheek then running away from the boy-horde coming after me , 4th grade trading blows with a 6th grader ,6th grade punching a guy for calling names my little sis (we good now see him out we talk he a nice dud) , 9th grade a girl i had a chance with but fucked it up big time , 9th grade breaking a cello almost getting expelled ,12th grade playing bass at a concert in Thessaloniki with a music group of my schooldidnt really have many close friends but there were some from school and other places you can call closer friends , but now even with them i ve started to fade away which i cannot bear but i m the type of giving up and not trying until i m lategot laboratory this morning and this is gonna take a while hope i can get some sleepfeels weird using reddit to express my thoughts i even find it a bit cringy talking to myself but oh welli wanted to lose 8-10 kilos in the summer but i m still around 30kilos up from the normal amount based on my height , got a subscription to a gym jan2019 but only managed to get into it for a short period on spring 2019 then autumn 2019 then lost motivation and let go , since March2020 i ve been doing some weights at home , tho when i look at myself in the mirror it doesnt really change how bad i feel about my body , i think my old motivation used to be a girl i used to have a crush on but not surethings with my parents werent all that great and i was mentally better when i would talk with them , they are openminded af and supportive too but puberty makes you see stuff differently like everyone is against you like the world is against you (last one might be true dunno yet) , living on my own now seems to be a bit better but as our Greek ancestors used to say theres no good without bad and the bad in this scenario is that its lonely as fuck , having lived for 18 years with my family it really hits a weird spot , everything feels lonelier now with the virus spreading around not being able to see others as much as we used to , uni doesnt feel nice , many people dont pay attention and its like the second half of 12th grade all over againgot my monthly money 4days ago , went from 200 to 9.28 quickly , when i have money i spend when i dont i m stingy , mostly like to build computers , watch lots of Linus , Paul , Kyle , Jay etc. most of my money goes to buying stuff about computers food , used to give lots of money to internet cafes when i used to hang out with the guys from school , not anymorewith the start of uni we all met new friends even i but i still feel like i am drifting apart day by day , stopped talking to my old girl friend cause i was kinda done with her attitude , called me some names i didnt appreciate because i put up with her attitude , most of the time in her own world , only would really pay attention and try to change herself when it was have fun , send me a happy bday message posted some pics of me , didnt send me anything else after , stopped talking to her around the start of October , if i hadnt asked her something about her uni and if it wasnt my bday i dont think we wouldve talked in all of october . last saturday i was working in the area she lives in my city decided to call her sometimes didnt answer tried to suprise her and see how she is by going to her house , noone answered maybe they were on a trip idk , but it feels weird man , in the first half of the year me and a common friend of her and me went out one night , ended up being the bad guy to make her understand that she did something wrong that night , after she left i was left with our common friend talked about stuff and mostly her and i expressed myself , i knew that coming summer me and her would end up at different places so i wanted to tell her all the wrongs with her so that she could finally understand what i ve been putting up against and make her understand that she HAS to pay attention to people around her and that she will meet new people and that she ll have to be careful about her character , used to have a bit of crush on her back in 7th grade , can kinda understand why that went . so for the best part of his life saint was raised with his ‘grandmami’ as he terms her, but she’s better known to the whole island as ajumma solmi. for this reason he’s very doting toward her and a real grandma’s boy. he bakes with her often and they can often be found on street corners selling cheap priced but some of the finest flowers to the citizens because it’s grandmami’s tradition and its mostly done in hope to uplift the islanders and bring joy to their day in a small way and act of love. 

when i say doting i mean doTInG, he will help her in and out of chairs, help her cross streets, hold the groceries for her as she crosses, open doors for her even if grandmami insists he stops fussing because ffs saint ur making me look ancient and i’ll have u know i am still fighting fit and could knock any idiot on his ass with a fliCk of my finger. ajdhf. she is v fiery, if saint is like the picture of elegance and good manners then grandmami is the sTARK contrast. she has one hell of a potty mouth and just a no time for ur shit attitude. if anything saint is keeping her in line, not the other way around. 

his quirk is warp gate. he rlly just uses it to entertain himself mostly and help give his pals quick escapes when a prank of some sort has gone wrong. he can basically create portals out of a dark fog which can either be emitted through his breath or openings at the end of his fingers which he can activate, anyone can also use his portals to travel so long as he’s given them permission.

so a lot about saint hasn’t overly changed because like he just is and has always been a very wholesome laidback boyo but just a few bits of like additional info for his personal growth can be added:

he’s owner and manager of the florist now, grandmami is also there most of the time and handles a lot of stuff when she’s feeling up to it but with her getting more tired more easily from her illness saint needs to head everything really.

he grew up in a neighbourhood on hosu which like consisted of his entire street pretty much being full of his aunts and uncles so now like it’s a street just littered with all his tiny cousins who like to follow him about everywhere and play ball games etc on the street with him and kinda take it over shs. you can hear their joyful playing from like streets over it’s very cute.

his mother gave him up when she realised she was pregnant with him and too young to raise him and that it would hinder her from pursuing the life she wanted with his father. saint doesn’t hold any resentment for her choice, it only bothers him that his grandma has always had a serious illness since the early days of talks of her having no choice but to take him on and that despite this his mother allowed him to be left to her care and another burden on her when she was already so ill.

grandmami is now at a point where she’s hanging in there but she won’t have long left and saint is essentially now her live in carer till her final days which is hard af for him but he refuses to let it show. he’s not sure how he’ll function when he loses her. right now he’s trying to extend the florist business into a wellness one as well and more of an apothecary so he can keep himself stable and busy.

So Friday morning, my fiance' and I were headed to New Jersey to visit his family for Christmas. On the way there, I was driving his truck so he could sleep a little before we switched places. So I just wanted to know a little about the pay brackets with motorcycle. Im not talking specific numbers cause I know to just get a quota for that. What I heard is for things like scooters or bikes under 150cc there is a bracket. Then it goes up for anything between 150cc to less than 400cc. Sometimes.

Sometimes the world just sucks - and then other times you think “oh that’s why that happened”.

For Example, a long time ago i applied for university - and i applied for the wrong thing. i applied for a conjoint degree right off the bat and nothing else. i then found out that in order to get into the law programme i had to just apply for law, then down the track i could swap out my course etc. long story short i didn’t meet the cut for the conjoint but i would have for the law degree by itself. because i didn’t get in, i studied English lit and classical studies through the arts degree. once i was done i thought i should still give law a shot. got in to an accelerated programme because I already had a degree so it would have taken me 3 years instead of 4. Packed up my bags - moved cities - got a new job - first time living away from home -  and hated it. Law was awful. I hated that “justice” wasn’t end game. it was just who argued better. I hated that I was away from my family and my boyfriend and I was sooo lonely. I had a bit of an anxiety related breakdown. I had done everything right and it just wasn’t for me. So I got out - right before the deadline to get a refund (about 6weeks). and I realised that maybe me not getting into law at the start was a blessing in disguise. I would have kept going if I managed to get in right out of school - I wouldn’t have known myself and trusted my gut to get out of it.

So yes - I do believe that some things happen for a reason.

But

I also have lots of eye problems - and I have yet to see where someone breaking their leg, or getting sick can happen for a reason.

its not fair. And you may have gathered that i like stuff to be fair - to be just. So yea.... wow that got a little heavy, but its the best way I can explain.

My grandfather cheated on my grandmother for years (1950′s - 80′s) it was with one woman. he invited the other woman over to dinner for my grandmother to cook for her and the family. that is not ok. he was awful to her. then they got divorced. he married the mistress and she was/is in our life because of that. he was still our grandad, still my dads dad. but my dad said he could never forgive him  -but he was still his dad and it would be unfair to exclude him from our live when he didn’t directly harm us. We grew up knowing the story. We knew he hurt grandma, and we knew the barest details as we got older we learned more. i dont think we will ever know the whole story. But my grandmother used to play games back - she would have my grandfather over to “help out” around the house behind his new wifes/the mistresses back. So they were all as bad as eachother and it was messed up. But It is not my place to hold it against them.

My parents are pretty ordinary. But its everywhere. the idea of it makes me sick.

When I was 16, my boyfriend had a phone and was messeging another girl. I was heartbroken, and i told him it was awful - he told me he deleted the messages and that it was one sided. I told him to give me his phone. back then sent messages were in a different folder, and although he had deleted all the messages from the girl he hadn’t deleted his responses. Which were incriminating. I told him up front - “you hurt me” - “to me this is cheating” - “you are betraying my trust” - “I don’t want to be with someone like this” - “make a choice”. it was hard. But he knew where i stood - basically if he couldn’t tell me something then it must be because he doesn’t think its right. I’m so glad we had this conversation within the first month of dating because it set up our relationship - there was no room for argument over what he thought was/wasn’t cheating. betrayal sucks. but i married this guy, and we have been pretty upfront about everything  -even if he thought I’d be upset. He’s an engineer, and at uni the engineers are very rowdy. he attended a few “topless” kegs and toga parties. i suppose its sometimes dependent on intent also - he can look, he doesn’t intend to go home with any of those people. i’m getting a little off track.

ok my third instance,

My friend was cheated on by her husband and she took him back. I will never trust him. But it is her choice. I will attend functions where he is because that is her choice. if they break up again i will be there because it is her choice. I do not agree with what he did.

and the last one is more about lying.

My MIL recently separated from her husband. She asked me before she did this what I would think if she started dating other men and how I thought her boys would react. I said I think if there was cheating she would find it very hard to keep her boys talking to her. Then they get separated. she lives by herself for 10 weeks then finds a place with a “friend”. She says “its 2 bedroom, we are just friends”, she comes to visit and goes looking for super-king sheets because her “friends” bed is bigger than her old one and she wants “nice sheets because he is fussy”, they are still just “friends”, aparently still in different rooms (with the same bed- hmmm i don’t think so). the boys ask her outright if she was seeing him before she left their dad - she says no “i did not cheat on your dad”. this is an important statement because what does she consider cheating? I would consider correspondence with someone with the intent of getting together or leaving the current partner cheating but perhaps she only considers sleeping with someone as cheating. We are still in the middle of this one and it changes every day.

anywho. its so prevalent it just makes me sick. My kids will never call her new partner grandad. he will always be called by his name. because i think i need to make those distinctions. if he came along a long time after they had split it might be different - but i dont know the full story.

But i think it would be fun to dress up and watch people from a different time. like just sitting in hyde park and watching carriages go past (id have to get to the uk somehow first).

If I could just watch I would be down for it. I wouldn't want to accidentally get taken away and made to do stuff I didn't want to do - because tbh the past wasn’t very nice.
