🌊 — THE STORY.

           HUANG JIANYU was born with the proverbial silver spoon in his mouth. his parents had both clawed their way to the top of the business world in their respective industries ( his father was a public relations juggernaut while his mother was heavily involved in all the best mass media campaigns. ) it was only natural that, upon falling in like with one another, the pair would get married. they were from well-off families and, well, people like them ( people with power, prestige, wealth, people who were too busy for silly feelings ) didn’t marry for love, anyway.

          or, at least that was what jianyu was told from a young age. as far back as he could remember, feelings and the mess they caused were the weakest and worst part of human nature. his parents told him to conceal everything to the point where he felt nothing. feelings only caused headaches and heartaches and huangs needed to be strong, with their heads held high and anything that lesser people had to say wasn’t important. it would never be important because it was coming from people who, as far as his family were concerned, had the importance of an ant. they were there to be squashed.

          feelings were off limits, but the problem that eventually reared its ugly head was that jianyu had nothing but feelings. further, having a quirk that allowed him to gauge both the thoughts and feelings of others through the one thing that the 71% of the entire freaking planet was covered in: water. when he was younger and didn’t know much about hydromancy, jianyu just thought that he had an aversion to water. some kids are afraid of the dark, others of heights or bugs or animals, jianyu didn’t like water. it wasn’t until his brothers -- as a vicious prank -- pushed him into the family pool at the ripe age of six, that he realized why he didn’t like water. the second he fell into the pool, his entire body screamed and he quite nearly took in too, too much water. however, he also felt a funny sort of feeling. he’d felt like he’d been there before. behind his eyelids, jianyu watched as the day before’s events -- his brothers splashing about in the pool, his mother’s legs draped over the side and his father cajoling the young jianyu to come for a dip -- flashed before him. what was that?

           after his rescue, jianyu was changed. his life was turned upside down because, beforehand, he felt as though he could avoid feelings, look the other way and not have to deal with them. now, he knew better. sure, he was young, but the boy wasn’t dumb. he understood what this meant. all of his family members had powerful, volatile, important quirks. what good were stupid feelings anyway?

           jianyu knew, from that day on, he’d always be an outsider in his own family. he’d never belong with those who shared his blood, and that absolutely broke him. so he tried to compensate it by being kind to everyone else -- perhaps a little too overly kind. ‘ tryhard ‘ would almost be too tame a word to describe him, always buzzing about and trying his best to keep everyone happy like it was his life’s goal. the people who he especially tries hard to please are his family, who cannot help but show disdain for him every chance they get. it’s almost as though his mere existence is an inconvenience, but boy -- he keeps trying and he will try anything in order to be back in their good graces.

🌊 — WELCOME TO THE ISLE.

          HAVING lived on hosu isle for as long as he can remember, jianyu likens himself to something of a person who everyone likes. no, he’s no social butterfly, but he hopes that, in the court of public opinion, he is highly regarded. being cut off from his family was rather traumatizing for him, so he’s all but desperate to get back in their good graces . . . but he’s not too ready to admit that to the world ( just yet. )

          if you are ever in a pinch, need a friend or just a helping hand, jianyu is the one you call. however, more and more lately, he’s been wondering if he’s running a fool’s errand, trying to obtain things that were never really his in the first place. the boy has a lot on his mind and is looking for answers ( answers that he is, unfortunately, unable to find through his quirk ) so anyone who might understand and know the way back to his family’s good graces would be appreciated . . . any time now . . . hello?

          also! if you’ve got questions about your future or just want answers about whether or not your relationship is heading in the right direction, give him a call! his current side project is starting a makeshift fortune telling company. he’s not the best at explaining anything, but the water doesn’t lie. huh. not the absolute best tagline, but it’s all he’s got for right now -- but the boy is determined to do better. he will do better.

hello homos, this is my new child meilani!! i don’t have a bio yet but here’s a short intro for her!! 

youngest of two! she was babied a lot as a kid - including by her sister. 

use to wear brown contacts back in her hometown to remain on the downlow

although her parents were highly scared about having a quirked child, it was something they saw coming considering both side of the family had had history with quirks

her family did the most to keep her within the household to keep her from being taken away; to the point of overprotecting her

it wasn’t until she unknowingly activated her quirk that she was finally taken away around age 12

coming to hosu was certainly strange and frightening, she didn’t know anybody and had been used to her family

cue her getting adopted

although shes thankful to her adoptive family, she went from having little to no freedom to having too much freedom

in a sense she started feeling neglected and considering she was right in the middle of her developing years it affected her in the long run

she is quite socially awkward but is very nice

will probably talk a lot if given the chance to be listened to

takes a lot of pride on her grades since its the only way she finds validation

her quirk allows her to radiate light from wherever she wants in her body

she finds no use for her quirk irl kdhkdhjs

due to the brightness of her quirk she has grown to be light sensitive

she has a strand of hair thats white; she thinks it’s odd and doesn’t like it

kyrie had a rough childhood with being brought up due to having an alcoholic dad who her narcissistic mother left to be with an abusive step dad, so she didn’t really trust men throughout her life until making guy friends that shows her that not every guy is like that - just really... bad ones.

her quirk came to around the age of three and she always tried to get a handle on it - she just didn’t realize until it’s too late where her quirk channel from + there’s more of her power that she has yet to realize !

her quirk channels from her emotions and the deeper the emotion is - the more of an effect that it has on the user and the people around the user.

the only two powers she knows of so far is red aura and purple aura that comes in a form of mist over the people around the user! the red aura is connected to her anger but also is connected to panic / anxiety attacks. when activated, the user’s speed is enchanted, resistant to blunt force trauma, strength is enhanced, along with being able to activate it in short bursts of jumps - which is a drawback as it can only be activated through short jumps, and if the brain has too much going in within it’s mind then it has less control for the user to grasp onto it.

the purple aura happens when she activates it in a calm state of mind - as this creates a purple mist from the user to fall among it’s victims to basically have them pass out for a good 15-30 minutes! drawbacks would include with having to be able to be truly calm in order to activate it and depending on the emotions underlying with the calm state equals to how strong the form is - if she’s angry and trying to be as calm as she can be - the more strength that this has to potentially put someone in a coma! this isn’t the end as she still has more to discover!

she ended up having to come to hosu isle due to the fact of being caught robbing a bank which is how she was able to stay more low profile with wigs and such - living that lavish life with a pretend name and such to build a life for herself due to the shitty life she had to grow up in.

she’s actually good friends with woosik and they both have that kind of sibling relationship going on because they feel like they can rely on each other through bond of understanding each others shit

her partners that she was robbing banks with has it that the rumour of it to be - one snitched, flaked. anywho - both are dead ! kyrie was swooped up by the government of the hosu and she’s pronounced dead to those that know of her - but let’s back track a minute and explain about this little bank heist group

this formed when she was around 16 and dropped out of the school - fell in with the wrong crowd and left home to join this trio to rob some banks, but it started off small with convenience stores to ride up there in the first place. she was tired of being stuck at home, under rules and listening to the two people at their throats - she found home in these two people and that’s all she needed - until the rumour of one of them to snitch on the other two.

she ended up dating one of the two and it wasn’t the best kind of love - more on the toxic side with her partner’s insecurity while her confidence with her partner being out there and flirting with others led to fights due to retort and so on - it wasn’t the best relationship out there, but it wasn’t like they were hurting each other physical - just more on the emotional and mental side from that

she’s of middle class - feels confused and doesn’t know what to do

so for the best part of his life saint was raised with his ‘grandmami’ as he terms her, but she’s better known to the whole island as ajumma solmi. for this reason he’s very doting toward her and a real grandma’s boy. he bakes with her often and they can often be found on street corners selling cheap priced but some of the finest flowers to the citizens because it’s grandmami’s tradition and its mostly done in hope to uplift the islanders and bring joy to their day in a small way and act of love. 

when i say doting i mean doTInG, he will help her in and out of chairs, help her cross streets, hold the groceries for her as she crosses, open doors for her even if grandmami insists he stops fussing because ffs saint ur making me look ancient and i’ll have u know i am still fighting fit and could knock any idiot on his ass with a fliCk of my finger. ajdhf. she is v fiery, if saint is like the picture of elegance and good manners then grandmami is the sTARK contrast. she has one hell of a potty mouth and just a no time for ur shit attitude. if anything saint is keeping her in line, not the other way around. 

his quirk is warp gate. he rlly just uses it to entertain himself mostly and help give his pals quick escapes when a prank of some sort has gone wrong. he can basically create portals out of a dark fog which can either be emitted through his breath or openings at the end of his fingers which he can activate, anyone can also use his portals to travel so long as he’s given them permission.

he just exudes sunshine rlly. is well known round the island for his out of this world smile which has been known to charm many. he is a very eligible and sought after bachelor but saint is like...not interested mostly bc he just like has no romantic awareness ahdhfhf not bc he doesn’t want it. and also bc he doesn’t like the way it’s mostly super young girls and guys just like awestruck by him. it feels a little too much like he’s a collective childhood crush by his groupies so yeah he is OBLIVIOUS. 

very humble and incredibly polite. just really down to earth whenever spoken to but being raised by an elderly person kinda makes u a little outdated, for this reason saint is kind of demure and bad at conversation mostly due to the fact he can easily talk for hours about his plans for baking with grandmami later, the book he read her this morning, the lovely walk they took in that gorgeous spot which he rlly recommends etc but he is god awful at talking about like typical young people stuff. 

lot of ppl think he plays hard to get, this is not true, saint just fr does not know how to fuckin speak and is the most oblivious person in the world to how to flirt, he’s easily flustered but bad at knowing when he’s being flirted with or if this person is just rlly nice and is usually too shy and respectful to rlly push luck by flirting in response hfhfjkg. USELESS. 

very 70′s/80′s aesthetic bby boy, sweet summer child. he is obsessed with old classic black and white films, had a collection before he moved to the island which he misses like everyday but luckily he has memorised ten million quotes. also collected records. obsessed with anything retro, is a collector of gaming merch. but he didn’t get to sneak much to the island :-( the only thing he rlly snuck was a small record stash. liked roller skating, bowling, drive in movies. dresses very retro but refined and classy with lots of layering. rlly good knowledge of classic literature. 

most likely to find him at the arcade in the funzone now on the island, he is a master at all the games but esp the old retro ones, usually goes early morning or late evening so he can spend hours uninterrupted on them and beat his high score everyday a bit more. if not there then he’ll be at zen’s computer gaming instead. he likes all tech really but prefers retro, he’s still figuring out modern. before coming to the island he was rlly getting into VR. if he’s not in either of these places, he’ll be on the beach in a volleyball match or doing a jog. still v much into his sports. 

ultimate sike power cause people think he looks like ur typical jock fuckboy but jokes on u he is pure of heart and dumb of ass himbo just blessed with ethereal looks, he is the breed of good lil boyo and that is all.

has two pet geckos one is peach colored and called zelda, the other is black and white leopard spotted and named zeus and he also has a chonk of a fluffy grumpy white cat called yoshi. he is the best. saint is a huge animal lover but probably still not on nyx’s level of dog worshipper. 

weeb. not as big of a one as nyx but he likes haikyuu, kuroko no basket, given, fruits basket, free! and yuri! on ice. he is very into anything that is slice of life or sports anime.

he studies art, spends half his life in the studio working, big art nerd. once he gets in the work mode, he just does not stop for anything but water and snacks and goes at it all day into half the night. usually does big projects bc he loves a challenge. mostly paints, sometimes sketches. u know those vids of people mixing paint colors like a swatch of gold and turquoise? saint fuckin loves those so bad unf he does that all the time to calm himself. 

still lives with grandmami currently, he’s looking at getting his own place bc everyone tells him if he ever wants to have his own life then he needs to but he’s just v anxious about leaving grandmami on her own bc she getting older by the day and she’s all he has sO she cannot get hurt!! 

also in a bit of a dilemma with his art bc he kinda wants to make something out of it, like maybe teach some classes sort of thing and use it more as a career but right now he does not have the confidence in his ability and is mostly just doing it for fun and as a calming thing ( he’s an idiot he’s rlly fucken good pls someone make him take himself seriously )

UPDATES:

so a lot about saint hasn’t overly changed because like he just is and has always been a very wholesome laidback boyo but just a few bits of like additional info for his personal growth can be added:

he’s owner and manager of the florist now, grandmami is also there most of the time and handles a lot of stuff when she’s feeling up to it but with her getting more tired more easily from her illness saint needs to head everything really.

he grew up in a neighbourhood on hosu which like consisted of his entire street pretty much being full of his aunts and uncles so now like it’s a street just littered with all his tiny cousins who like to follow him about everywhere and play ball games etc on the street with him and kinda take it over shs. you can hear their joyful playing from like streets over it’s very cute.

his mother gave him up when she realised she was pregnant with him and too young to raise him and that it would hinder her from pursuing the life she wanted with his father. saint doesn’t hold any resentment for her choice, it only bothers him that his grandma has always had a serious illness since the early days of talks of her having no choice but to take him on and that despite this his mother allowed him to be left to her care and another burden on her when she was already so ill.

grandmami is now at a point where she’s hanging in there but she won’t have long left and saint is essentially now her live in carer till her final days which is hard af for him but he refuses to let it show. he’s not sure how he’ll function when he loses her. right now he’s trying to extend the florist business into a wellness one as well and more of an apothecary so he can keep himself stable and busy.

this is more just a cute fun fact but he’s a Christmas Eve baby. uwu lil boyo was born on the night before Christmas bc of course he was sdjdj.

His entire family ran with being affiliated with the gang

Raised around guns and drugs ; stumbled into drugs at the age of thirteen

His environment has definitely defined his upbringing as he was brought into the gang lifestyle and fought his way through to earn his keep as well

Underground fighter and fought for money this way

His father was pretty abusive as he grew up in that household along with his emotionally distant mother, who was more into drugs than her own son. He was a product of the two and more so - a regrettable one in their eyes, until he earned his keep to pay rent by fighting those in an underground club. His uncle was more of prideful that he has a nephew to show things and to do things with - but he never did question or mention of the bruises - as his parents went through similar cycles.

He was out on his own at sixteen when getting jumped with a small group of six for defeating one of their good friends in a few rounds - which got beat up pretty bad that the said friend had to go to the hospital for his very sore - but not broken jaw

He was always a loner and girls flock around him like fleas attracted to dirty fur ; which is why he was never really lonely in spite of that ; also had his fair share of underneath the sheets with some men too, he doesn’t mind either field

He learned of his quirk early in age and never really minded it as it got him out of situations which he chose to stop running from as he got older

He’s very reckless in decision making and he doesn’t give two fucks about most people unless he’s decided on ok this person, i will protect, like Chaos

He’s been on the island for three years now and he’s known most of his way ‘round the island - which is how he got into contact with a filthy doctor in the slums that can give him prescriptions to keep his addiction going steadily ( w/ sexual favors intact )

He’s not used to having good amount of money at one section because as he did, he would run that puppy out with alcohol and good fun, but there was one favorite hobby of his that he would save money for : car racing ; which is something he was also grown good from a young age - thanks to his uncle teaching him to drive at first then watching him as he drove like so

He never had serious relationships and more of just short, open ones as he wasn’t opposed to them ; he just never really.... understood how a serious relationship is like, to feel domesticated and such in that route ; most of them were usually just drug-related, abundance of sex, and merely more of having fun

He’s middle class - which is even more weird for him to have a good home in place and gaining money from the government. he does not trust the government at all - he literally hates them for ripping him from his life, even with the good aspects that comes with it.

Still pretty much of a loner with some friends, but his best friend is Chaos - he can enjoy himself around the other and not hold back as much for reason

This quirk lets the user lull people to sleep or make them tired via a gas they can release from their hands. The user will grow tired when they put people fully to sleep, as it takes up more gas, and therefore energy. The user can tire out up to 7 people, and knock out 2. If the target is already tired the user can easily knock them out. Most use this quirk to tire foes, and than attack using some sort of martial arts.

minji’s the oldest of five kids ( three girls and two boys ), and as long as she can remember, the only constant in her life has been her mom, her siblings and their tiny apartment, with its grey, dingy wallpaper and thin walls ( her dad passed away when she was five ). they don’t have much – her mom manages to get some money by selling kimbap in the local market – but she grows up loved and happy.

her quirk actually manifests itself pretty late – around her fifteenth birthday – when she accidentally uses it on one of her siblings. needless to say, she’s terrified of it – she’s never seen anything like it, and her mom ( who’s one of her only sources of information at the time ) never mentioned anything about powers of any sort. minji keeps her mouth shut about it all while trying to get as much information as possible – over the years, she’s found out the general gist of it – but still kept it under wraps as she knew she couldn’t afford to be shipped off to hosu and leave her family behind.

and then – she uses her quirk to help another girl. it’s late at night, and the man had been following the other for at least fifteen minutes – so minji just – makes him go away. she hurries back home hoping that no one saw what happened, but the police is at her doorstep as soon as the next morning and she has no other choice but to go with them.

so now she’s here ! brand new so she’s still a lil bit lost when it comes to – well, everything.

the biggest difference is that now she’s pretty wealthy because of her quirk – she’s still not used to having so much money, and a lot of her old habits still bleed through every now and then.

can be a bit reserved around new people and in new situations – especially now, since this is the first time she’s ever been apart from her family for longer than a day. she does like being around people though, and can be quite the social butterfly if you give her enough time to relax around you.

big mom friend energy !! definitely the designated driver for every party. she’s used to being the ‘responsible one’ but pls make her see that it’s okay to let loose and have fun without worrying about how others are doing.

can be kind of naïve in the sense that she doesn’t really know anyone on the island yet – so she’ll probably believe 99% of the things you say, especially if you’re a hosu native.

BIG on food – and is actually a pretty decent cook. will definitely try and use you as a guinea pig for a new recipe tho.

is actively looking for a job! in the meantime, she babysits and picks up any small jobs she can find.

🌌 —  THE STORY.

           ONCE UPON A TIME , IN A FAR-AWAY LAND known as nara , an ordinary girl is born to two parents who love her ( but cannot seem to love themselves. ) they name her cordelia and, from a young age, there was always something a little . . . off about their sweet girl. now, many parents would claim that their child glows & a light seems to follow them wherever they wander, but the wantanabes would be right.

           it isn’t until the young girl turns 10 that she realizes that no, not everyone can bend space and time to their own whim. not everyone sees the universe as a malleable thing, able to be crafted in one’s own image should they wish. in fact, she is the only one she knows who can do anything of the sort. okay, her dad has superhuman-like strength ( in that he can help her open bottles and things of that sort ) and her mother is incredibly quick-witted, but neither of them can conjure hot balls of gas and light whenever they wish. cordelia can. it’s her mother’s idea to keep it a secret, out of fear that someone could find the young girl and exile her for being so . . . different. delia doesn’t see the harm in it. what’s the worst that can happen? at that age, all she tended to do was bring a bit of starlight to the light-polluted nara and its surrounding areas. it wasn’t like she was dangerous in her mind, it’s all fun and games . . . until someone gets hurt.

           and who should get hurt? why, her beloved parents, of course. a freak accident ( a rush, a blur, not knowing where her powers could take her. ) cordelia was swallowed whole by the guilt of seeing both of her parents in the hospital, doctors whizzing around them while not knowing what in the world had gotten to either of them. they couldn’t for the life of them guess; most thought lightning had something to do with it. if they only knew it was the little girl sitting at each of their bedsides, hot tears streaming down her cheeks.

           they both eventually got to go home -- becoming known around nara as the lightning couple, due to the belief that they both were struck by lightning, despite the outlandish odds -- but cordy knew that she wouldn’t be able to go home with them. she would never forgive herself if something worse ( and there wasn’t much worse that could happen to either of them ) so she found hosu and ran, ran, ran. of course, when she arrived safe and sound, she wrote to her parents, but she’s broken inside knowing that, well, it has to be this way. it’s breaking them all, but it has to be this way.

🌌 —  WELCOME TO THE ISLE.

          THE BROWN-EYED girl shows up on the island shaking. she'd never done anything so brash before, yet, here she was, so many miles away from everything she'd ever known and with nothing to her name . . . nothing other than that stupid quirk she'd been all but cursed with.

          stupid stars. stupid light. stupid gas. stupid universe.

          . . . so what if she's not exactly eloquent, she's too angry to care. what a wicked way to go, but cordelia figures it's better her than her parents. they do forgive her, eventually, but it takes quite a few conversations that last hours upon hours and some good, old fashion groveling. afraid of growing so close to someone that she can hurt them again, cordelia becomes a master of being seen and not heard; it's easier to not be missed if no one really knows you, after all.

          but it's incredibly lonely. living by a rule that an eleven-year-old version of herself created is becoming harder and harder with each passing day, especially when she starts having to lie to mom and dad when they ask about her friends ( cordelia never did like that sad sounding sigh that would always come across the line. ) so she creates these fanciful friends and their fantastic adventures across the isle. they all have their own quirks but they learn to live with them, learn to love them and, by extension, themselves. yeah, it sounds something out of a coming-of-age film that cordelia would probably love . . . but what her parents don't know won't hurt them.

          but it'll end up hurting cordelia. karma's been chasing not too far behind with its sight set on her and, one day, it finally gets her. a horrible accident, her mother exclaimed, so much blood and just -- what, what is going on? cordelia's heart was in her throat and she wanted to scream until she broke the sound barrier. she nearly went supernova ( quite literally, too. it took everything in her not to explode right then and there. ) her father was hit by some punk drunk driver and was announced dead on arrival . . . what? why would the universe do such a thing? why would those stupid stars that everyone swore by decide to take such an inherently good person away?

          it wasn't fair. cordelia fell into a deep deep depression. the stars didn't shine nearly as brightly as they once did ( there was no one to create new galaxies for anymore. ) every night, she'd watch the stars she'd created for her father, her mother, the old friends she knew in nara, die slow deaths. soon, there would be nothing left in the world with her namesake on it and cordelia, all at once, found that to be a crying shame. call it her father's optimism finally rubbing off on her, or just simply finding it hard to keep lying to her now-widowed mother.

          she was going to find some friends . . . anyhow, anyway. if karma, the stars, the government, anything or everything was keeping an eye on her, she’d at least give them a worthwhile show.

URSA MAJOR - THE BIG BEAR . . . she didn’t mean to, honestly !! you just so happened to be hit by that star and, oh god, it’s like the entire ordeal with her parents all over again. only except she doesn’t really know you. every day during your stint in the hospital, you receive a bouquet of beautiful flowers -- maybe they’re your favorites or maybe they’re the type you cannot stand -- with the same note. i’m sorry. you figure it isn’t from anyone you know; it can’t be, can it? on your second-to-last day, the apologetic message is accompanied by an address and a little, scratchy handwritten note asking to meet someone there. against your better judgement you do, but no one is there . . . until you look up in the sky to see an incredible array of different-colored gasses ,you’ve never seen a nebula up close, save for photographs. a tall, black-haired girl walks beside you and begins to explain that she did not mean to hit you with a shooting star. she was simply practicing but her aim isn’t where it needs to be. do you believe this girl, or run as far as you can away from her?

is siyeon’s older brother but she ain’t know

he is well aware of this fact, he doesn’t really like her

his father was killed due to having protected siyeon, he witnessed this when he was only 14

his parents were divorced by the time miss siyeon was conceived. 

still feels resentful about his father dying protecting someone else

his quirk was known to the government since it started showing but since both his parents were working for the government he never was taken to the other side of the island due to not having any need to do so

has never left the island though

spent a long time of his childhood in the headquarters, making friends with the other quirked people around

was an outcast in the school since he was the only one with a quirk

as he grew he saw his quirk was useful for medical purposes and started helping the doctors in the headquarters, mostly when it came to wounded quirked people

hyerin grew up rich in luxury, but not so much love from her parents

being the only child to famous couple put on a lot of pressure on her since she was a young age and while hyerin tried not to let it get to her too much, there wasn’t any stopping her parents

they constantly drilled into her head that hyerin needed to be the absolute best at everything . not matter what it was--  sports, music, instruments, cooking, baking-- you name it, they were signing hyerin up for it

this mindset had really messed with her because she would be absolutely devastated if she couldn’t accomplish something, even more so when her parents would make offhand comments about how incompetent she was

but with all these things piling on her plate, it was only a matter of time before she burnt out-- which is how her quirk had manifested.

if you asked her about it now, she really couldn’t tell you because she can’t remember what happened but she had passed out during a performance and because of the over exertion, her body had thought she was being threatened

her parents were not only upset about that, but also upset that they couldn’t make a big spectacle of her leaving 

and that had really made hyerin upset and sad. it had shown her for the first time that no matter what she did, her parents would never love her the way she had wanted for so long

it had really made coming to hosu as a teenager hard because there was always that small voice telling her that if her own family couldn’t even love her, then who would ??

only wants people to see the good, never the bad, so she rarely, if ever, shows any problems or difficulties she’s going through even to people she sees as friends

she has a collection of stuffed animals on her bed that she sleeps with. it’s her dirty little secret.

has an aversion to being touched. she didn’t grow up in the most affectionate home, and when she got adopted by a family in hosu, she would rarely let them touch her too.

is an ABSOLUTE klutz. seriously. she could trip on air and manage to bruise her hands and knees all in one go

has broken her glasses too many times to count so she wears contacts

hanee wasn’t born on the island

she was born in sk, but moved to chicago around the age of eleven

she grew up in a rather tough part of the neighborhood, so she’s a bit rough around the edges in terms of resorting to violence and running her mouth

her parents has taught her to keep her quirk hidden and explained to her why she couldn’t show her abilities, which really made her feel down and she didn’t feel special for them but more of a burden with powers

she was working in the strip club to make due with her bills like cellphone bills and apartment bills when she was caught on the cameras by her manager and reported to the owner

the owner reported her to the government and boop, she vanished and now she’s on the island along with the others

( drug mentions tw ) she was using her quirk while drugging men essentially with their drinks and swiping their cards to gain more money ( think of hustler )

her parents weren’t the greatest parents either with keeping her sheltered, they just pushed her out there and she had to grow a thick skin from it

she’s not someone to show her emotions easily and she’d rather be in control for things that goes with her

hanee is just living her life on the island now and she’s pretty new along with junho, about a week ago is when they arrived! she’s transitioning into it and she’s thinking of using the monthly quirk money later on to essentially do something with her life

junho wasn’t born on the island. he was born in seoul, sk and into a family that manage to keep most of their quirks hidden growing up!

his uncle was found out and ‘killed’ by the government, but he’s living on the island currently and has most of the money funded over the year in secret from his brother

it’s for in case one of his kids ends up on the island as well and in case junho’s case, he did end up on the island as we get further into his backstory

his uncle’s company that he inherited is an electric company dealing with a range of things

he was handed the company from his uncle about two years ago with his quick experience in managing the company and along with his business / almost marketing degree. what i mean by almost is that he was almost finishing his year before he was swept up from the government.

he is married and met someone who also has a quirk, but she was found out shortly after their daughter was two years old. she’s claimed missing / possible death by the police and by the government and it pissed him off. he tried to find her as best as he could, and in the end... his emotions got the better and him and he was quickly found out this way. sadly, his daughter was caught alongside with him when he release the blizzard storm, but she wasn’t harmed.

he has a daughter that he absolutely adores and he was with her when he was swept up, claiming to be killed or missing in action even to those that are concerned about him and his daughter.

luckily, he was able to bring his daughter with him to the island and he feels that he has to start over new now that he feels he can’t trust anyone on the island. i want the connection for his uncle to be taken up, but i may also leave it npc!

he has his own place with his daughter for now, but he’s ready to pick up where he left off now that he’s under a whole new watchful eye. his only concern is to keep his daughter safe.

his quirk is a mixture of abilities that i got from looking around, but it is a general water/ice quirk. he has the ability to form ice around his hands to use as boxing gloves essentially, along with superhuman strength. he can do the thing frozone from the incredibles do with blowing ice from his lips to form a semi-frost that he can slide across, along with forming ice spikes and there’s more to this ability. but the most powerful ability he does have with this is that it’s a blizzard storm, essentially connected to his emotions, he can wipe out the city with it covered in snow and high winds depending on the amount of anger he has. this takes a lot of stamina out of him and something has to really piss him off for it happen, like his daughter being kidnapped or something.

he’s hoping... once figuring out what this island is about, that it’s potential that his wife will be here too... and possibly his uncle. if you’re interested in his wife, then hit me up!

Haeun was born into a rich and powerful family and since then every moment of her life has been decided for her. Her hobbies, how she dressed, who she was friends with. She absolutely hated it and started rebelling more and more through the years. Causing her parents a lot of irritation and getting in trouble far too often. Including having been caught underaged drinking, shoplifting and such. All of which her parents took care of.

She was still fairly young when she discovered her powers and made sure to practice them as much as she could. Something her family hated. They wanted her to be as normal as possible. Something evident by the way they told her to never show her quirk to anyone and to hide several other aspects of herself. Such as her sexuality. Her parents weren’t the best.

So she kept practicing her quirk and being herself, because she’s nothing short of stubborn. And everything was alright in the world until one day she revealed her quirk to the wrong person. A girl she liked. Who then betrayed her and told the authorities about it. Even her parents couldn’t save her from this one and she was sent to the island. Since then she’s had trouble trusting others and has been struggling to be by herself.

Although, she does have a nice house she isn’t the biggest fan of her loss of freedom. But does enjoy that she is now free in other ways. Due to her quirk she makes objects for people so that’s her job. People just order things and she studies how to make them and does it, instead of people having to pay for those expensive things, she just charges them less for her creations. Grew up in an orphanage in Ulsan, South Korea and got adopted at the age of 5. He grew up thinking he didn’t have a quirk, but what he thought was a lie. Once the government found out he has a quirk he was sent over to Hosu Isle. He was around the age of 18 when he was sent to live on the island.

May seem really intimidating, but he’s actually a really sweet and chill person once you get to know him

He originally wanted to be a graphic designer after graduating college, but he gave up on that dream and became a tattoo artist instead. So if anyone wants a tattoo he’s the one to go to. He has a tattoo of his birth flower on his right arm.

His quirk, Possession, seems powerful, but it’s actually not that helpful in Taesoo’s opinion. The max he can control and possess someone is ten minutes which isn’t a lot in his eyes. Taesoo actually hates his quirk even if he doesn’t openly show it. He just wants to go back home to his parents who adopted him and go back living a regular life. Also, he doesn’t really see the purpose of his quirk if he doesn’t need to use it daily or anything around there.

Even though he’s not all that super powerful like other people with their quirks, Taesoo can defend himself pretty well due to him learning taekwondo when he was younger.

Dancing is his hobby along with baking but he has a passion for both!

He’s easily petty when he feels like someone is annoying him to that point - depends on what that person does to deserve the pettiness
