free my complex female character, she did the same thing as complex male characters but the fandom takes Any analysis of her actions/choices/motivations that doesn’t strip her of all of her agency in bad faith and claims that only misogynists would dare to critique the things that they’ve noticed in her character because she’s a woman, completely ignoring the over-presence of discourse about similarly traited male characters in their fandom.

i've got an interview today! it's just to see if i'll do this job as an undergrad baby-TA again next semester, so i'm not too worried. it'll only be 15 minutes, and i've been fine with the job this semester
#key speaks#it'll be a standard interview#but my answers to 'why ar you interested in the job' and 'what's your relevant experience' will be v easy#and i can bullshit my way through 'how can you help create an inclusive environment' easily enough#that's all they really asked us last year#maybe a couple more questions related to how to help students learn and stuff#but like#i've been taking a pedagogy course to do this all semester so i have practice answering those kinds of questions now#(unlike last interview. that was low-key a disaster and i'm p sure i only got hired bc the professor specifically recommended me)#(she though i would be a good fit for the position when i was in her class)

#huntclaire#i was going to reblog this from the source but i didn't want to ramble in their mentions. this will be long#i've been thinking about this post for some days now and i couldn't write why it fit huntclaire so well but i think i can now#i like huntclaire because i do believe they bring out the best of each other but mostly. they bring out the worst of each other#<- and i think that's good. for their (eventual) relationship and for their individual characters#i think before hunt and claire can have a relationship they need to engage with each other in a sincere way. and they do not do that.#they are incapable of that. they're both stuck in their ideas of themselves/each other that they are simply blind to the reality of things#they are both... extremely flawed human beings. as we all are. but they're too self-important to realise that. which is another flaw#hunt thinks His arrogance is a virtue (delusional). claire thinks she's humble (also delusional).#both are very fond of pointing flaws in other people while being unaware of their own. they cannot TALK with each other as long as they#think like this. hunt needs to get over himself and claire needs to know herself#i must make you aware of things you do not see. unsure if it's meant to be taken just in a positive sense but i'm user wesposting#it's good when your partner challenges your idea of things. and i think these are two individuals that need to be constantly challenged#hunt needs someone to tell him to his face that he's kind of a dick sometimes. and claire needs someone to point out the flaws in her logic#they need to be questioned challenged they need to stop and think about themselves. they need to be wrong. only then they can be sincere#they need to be wrong and wrong again and then again. conflict between them is what moves them forward as characters#most of all they annoy each other so much because they see so much of themselves in one another. but acknowledging that is uncomfortable#it's uncomfortable to know yourself through the other#claire's case is interesting because she feels a ucs. Absurd how someone might hold the time I reacted very poorly two years ago when someone who's been overly friendly and supportive to me blocked me out of blue against me, as an "evidence" that I am evil dangerous monster who is off to harm when I don't get my way (not exagerration, their hateful claims exactly as they are)
But then the same type of people will hear someone who slipped up a similar way go "shit sorry my [insert diagnosis] be damned" and act all supportive and understanding and willing to let this person struggle to do better. Shit like this is why I still stand on my ground that ableism will never, ever, EVER go away. There is just inherent hatred and hostility towards neurodivergent people, even from those with the same neurodivergency often. And people only put in effort to show empathy and compassion when they're given a concrete term/diagnosis/whatever. So, they won't show mercy unless restricted with the fear of being accused of ableism, and this is a BAD sign. You are not supposed to only show understanding and patience to "be a good ally" in the eyes of the public, you are supposed to do it because it is the RIGHT thing to do.

Si-o is not Bang Je-su level but both are>Kaneki+Ppang#if this gets a season 2 unlike BYT though I'll be too mad at jtbc; theres enough actual good series hanging minus next seasons#I like Bread Song's aesthetic but begs the question why weren't the mom and Bread Song the actual main characters from the start?#oh and also their whole use of names and codeword was weird and not too...well interesting for lack of a better word#the whole biblical st. paul bread thing...#(Pavel is Russian for Paul)
