Chapter 4 of Tepwat Manu is live on ao3 !!

In which a foolish youth is spirited away into the marsh, and is saved at the last minute by a princess from a faraway land.

To celebrate, Here's the first of my character portraits: Anekh, a foolish youth. By complete accident he looks exactly like my brother if my brother was an ancient Egyptian noble (sorry Nate 😂) Anekh is dressed like royalty from the New Kingdom Period. He's wearing a pleated linen shendyt skirt, a broad-collar with gold, turquoise, and lapis lazuli beads, a headband, and his mother's cylindar seal - for making signatures on clay. (For my history-enjoyers, cylindar seals were more prominant in Mesopotamia, where writing was impressed into clay. Anekh is wearing that seal because Tepwat Manu's setting reflects the 10 years of Esharhaddon's conquest of Egypt during the Late period. During that time, Egypt was controlled by the Assyrian empire, who imported Mesopotamian culture (and people) en masse.) Anekh's head is shaved except for the sidelock of youth above his right ear. Historically, this style was reserved only for the children of Pharaohs, the legitimate heirs to Osiris, but in my story, its is just rich-people fashion. Anekh hasn't ever had to work in his life, and now he's due for a rude awakening from the world. Poor bastard. Music is Robot Tune by French class - shoutout to Drue Langlois who makes the Dudes of Hazmat on Youtube - I got this song from the toxic waste chase, which kicks ass.

Things Abt Iyecla (bc why not)

It's a combination of DCA and Y/N, I'd put some kinda fusion type thingy but agh

They tall, like maybe a foot or two, taller than the DCA

Their crescent moon halo and sunrays are floating magnetically over designated circles around their body (there's one behind their head, around their head, around their wrists, the tips of their first three fingers, around their knees, and an incomplete one on their right foot)

They're personality is like the DCA's if not significantly more boiled down. Like anxiety but you can't be anxious forever kinda mental debate

Was found strapped in a weird straight jacket wire hold on the operating table inside of the PS cylindar after the whole pizzaplax burned down. This is like in a world where they abandon the plex completely and just make a new one elsewhere, forests grow around here now

Due to organic parts of their machinery, they're like a cryptid now, eating random animals that get inside, and siphoning electricty lines that run past there

Can leave the plex, but only for short amounts of time, before remnants of protocol kick in

If you find yourself inside the plex with them inside, they'll take care of you

Daylight and darkness has no effect on their appearance or who takes over

Sun and Moon depend on Y/N to keep them together

Magically came together as some Afton-type curse nonsense

They can't exactly know how to separate, so when they suffer, it's like three times the suffering. The guy cries oil.

Had a weird lil burial funeral for all the animatronics after they woke up (Y/N was a handler and found some of their fellow handler's bodies and buried em next to their respective animatronics in said bot's green room). They dont open those doors again.

Pratically beat all the live endoskeletons into submission, they do their bidding-ish

UPDATE!!! OK, the first leg of the 3 day drive is done. We made it to New Jersey and have checked in to the Marriott. Boo, our dog is resting and is kinda freaked out a bit. We're in 2 separate cars; my little 4 cylinder chevy spark and they have a huge chevy suburban 8 cylindar. The only issue... they go really fast... me, not so much, lol. My nephew is watching out for me and reminding mom to slow down, lol, especially up hills, LOL. Now to read and rest. I'm beat and Boo want up on my lap. I keep trying to tell her a 90 lb pitbull won't fit on my lap but she's not hearing it. 😅🥰 Love you guys. *YAY for free room wifi!!!*

Monday Musings

OMG  Wishes come true. Good Smile Company is premiering an official Nendoroid travel case at Wonder Festival 2020 Winter! *O*!!!  

I had always wanted a hardcase from them, for when I travel with my Nendos for photography, but maybe it actually has a hard frame inside.  Regardless, this open top cylinder with a hook to the side is ideal, for when you really need to take a photo with your Nendo quick. But even if you’re not in a hurry, I’ve always had an easier time accessing my Nendos when the top of a case can hinge open, without interferring how it hangs from my bag/belt.  And when the Nendo can remain standing up, you can just drop in your figure and easily pull it out.  The more ease, the less chances of losing pieces or damaging the figure. And it latches onto your bag or belt with a carabinger!  ^u^  It's like they've watched us carrying around our Nendos at conventions!  And this is so much better than the Nendoroid More sleeping bags, which are nice for room display.  But I've heard stories of people attaching them to bags/vests at conventions and just barely noticing that the loop seams were almost completely broken after a day at the con. The other really good thing about the cylindar shape is that there are no hard corners to possibly damage your figures with.  A lot of quadrangular hardcases have reinforcing slats that can scratch paint jobs.  And sometimes just the straight flat surfaces seem to cut out space that could have been there.  It taunts me when I'm really trying to fit a wide figure or a Nendo with delicate protrusions.   Anyway, I'm rambling. But I'm really excited about this case!  ^u^!!!

EDIT:  11:49 AM 1/24/2020 I usually get everything in black or dark gray.  But that tan case looks pretty good too.  And though white usually gets dirty fast, it does look pretty cool...  DAMN.  Now I'm indecisive!  ;o;!!!   . Here's the thing. It can get pretty hot in LA.  And when I'm travelling with my figures in the summer, I worry a lot about the getting too hot, melting, or bending in the heat.  And black cases and bags can attract a lot of sunlight and basically become little ovens.  At least, that's my frequent worry.  So maybe it would be good to get the tan case or the white case?
