im convinced that my parents think im stupid
#like yeah i managed to get a job as a substitute teacher#and now im working my way into a lead position#all my training and continuing education for that is paid for by my employer#it’s taking me like fucking forever to get my degree but it’s not because ive ever failed#my gpa is 3.0 DESPITE the times ive taken off and transferred withdrawn etc etc#AND. AND! unlike my sister. i have never gotten a speeding ticket#because im epic#sure i pop a few curbs on days when the ANS dysfunction is more pronounced.#dw abt it#anyways. they still think im a dumb idiot liberal#wrong. not a lib. but good try#and like sure there are things im ignorant of abt adult life#but plenty of that is purposefully applied helplessness as a result of incredibly fucked up parenting#they also think im the most oblivious absent minded space cadet who never pays attention or notice things#like ummmmm im very aware actually. probably too aware i wish i wasnt so aware. goddamn#genuinely i think they see my general disorganization and natural chaos as a beacon of stupidity#you fools. my mind is going so fast that my body can’t keep up#also i think everyone with emotionally manipulative parents#has this off switch when speaking to them that causes absolute buffoonery#it’s like you can explain in the most perfect way to someone else#but theyre always going to misinterpret what you say and make you think yourself a mere jester
