also the dude who wrote/directed this game is an asshole, an idiot, a sexist and a bunch of other bad things. thats not an unpopular opinion, i just wanted you guys to know that i know this. when i praise dbh, i’m not praising him

i don’t wanna say the word overrated because i don’t believe in that. i just find it interesting how certain characters are getting a lot of attention (e.g gavin, nines) whilst other characters are ignored or reviled. thats not me saying the characters whom are popular in fandom should be ignored, thats me saying i’d like more focus on other characters i like too e.g markus, kara, kamski, the jerries, north, josh, rose & adam and a bunch more. i just really like all the androids and some humans okay

like, its pretty obvious why simon (white man) is being adored whilst josh (black) and north (woman) are being ignored and despised respectively, right? and thats not me hating on simon or saying less simon. i like simon! (or like, what can be done with him bcuz canon simon has no depth)

i do not agree with the often used phrase “hank and connor are the only worthwhile part of this game”, in fact, i hate it. sure, the best part of the game, go ahead. but the only worthwhile part? fuck you, because

i like markus and kara and their stories! whilst most my problems with this game are in markus’ story (just trust me on that), overall i still like it. and kara? heck theres not a single kara chapter i don’t like. and on that note:

i don’t consider kara’s story to be useless. yeah she’s not part the revolution plot but thats not bad. i think it provides a balance. think of it like this: markus represents The Leader, the liberator, the messiah. he is fighting for his people. and he comes from a privileged background. connor is representing The Man, The System, depending on how you play him he is rebelling against The System or is a part of it. now what does kara represent? The People. her and the other androids she encounters represent the average android in this world. markus and connor can’t do that so i feel its important we see her. we’re seeing what markus (and maybe connor) are fighting for. and i think thats really important

and besides all that, i just plain like it okay

i like markus/north, i think they make a good couple (moreso in my head than in the game but i still think they’re sweet in the game)

the concept that pacifist markus and north don’t “make sense together” is stupid because ur assuming north is bloodthirsty and has no room for growth. and that all couples need to agree with each other. also north for violent markus and simon for pacifist markus also makes no sense to me becuz 1. people aren’t rewards, 2. ur confusing simon with josh. again. and 3. violent!markus and north would just be enabling each other. if north is to be with any markus, it should be pacifist markus because they’d be good for each other. also all three of them being options woulda been nice but that’s not an unpopular opinion anyways so moving on

the part of the tumblr community i mostly am in i like to think is pretty rational and liberal, generally interested in helping people and doing the right thing. there are lots of people on here like that, and thats awesome.

one think i dont really understand is why topics like vegetarianism, veganism, and the environment cant be talked about without becoming a subject of ridicule. im so confused by it. 

dont get me wrong, i understand that certain more vocal vegan individuals and groups (cough cough peta) act like absolute idiots, and its true, many of them are pretty privileged and so dont seem to see the repercussions of making campaigns and offensive comparisons between the meat industry and a whole host of other completely different and incomparable issues like slavery and sexual abuse (often while trivialising them) just for shock value or something

im not excusing that, and i would never. those people clearly arent capable of seeing from someone elses perspective. and it makes people angry and thats totally fair enough, and i get that. 

but really i would like it if we could separate those people from the issue, because that behaviour is not something inherent in that movement, and its not just smug, white, upper class people making up things to feel angry about. its just another, completely different issue that people need to start considering, with mainstream study after study suggesting that people really do need to depend less on animal products. why cant we just talk about that without it being like a meme or something?

im not saying that everyone should go vegan, or even that everyone should go veggie. hell im not even vegan really. i wont pretend like its the easiest life decision, or the cheapest (although it is possible for it to be cheap and pretty healthy, matters like allergies and access to resources mean that it may not be easy.) so thats why i wouldnt tell people to do that. all i want is for people to be able to talk about it without being dismissed from the get go. because its fair enough to say its not easy or healthy or within the means of a lot of people to make decisions like that about their diet, but i know there are also plenty of other people who absolutely could make eating less meat/dairy work for them, who wont even consider it because its so widely dismissed as a joke.

also like just as a subject i feel like a lot of people are purposefully obtuse about it. reasoning that wouldnt fly in any other conversation comes into play. 

like, theres a popular post which is essentially, vegan vs non vegan. vegan says being vegan is the healthiest, easiest and best, or whatever. non vegan disagrees, and shows evidence that being vegan isnt actually the most environmentally efficient way of using resources - apparently, according to said evidence, being vegetarian actually is.

I'm trying to ignore my dads ranting about how we don't get it, how a certain ppl (will refer to them as Ts) are not really racist, they r just not educated well enough in certain issues that regard Arabs. Personally, I think racism stems from humans just being scared of change or something different, it's an innate physiological response. I'm not justifying it, just cuz ppl cant help how they initially feel about something that doesn't mean, oh I’ll just avoid it forever cuz it makes me feel bad. We as beings capable of higher thought are obliged to observe, study, and attempt to make sense of how the world around us functions in relation to us.

Therefore we always need to reassess how we feel about everything and anything and ask ourselves why do I feel this way about this? are my feelings justified? if so in what way? if not then I need to teach myself how to handle such issues better. Don't just accept that ur a racist asshole, ask urself why u feel this way, realize why, and learn to be better.

Going back to my original point, u cant say no the Ts ppl are not racist, everyone is, its an involuntary human reaction to reject and react negatively to anything different or unusual. The difference is there r ppl who acknowledge that in them and reflect on themselves and actions.

It seems to me that the majority of ppl here are not willing to think and reflect on their perceptions of Arabs, but then again this is a remote town. Unlike the big city, ppl there r more educated, more exposed to the world, and racially mixed. They have better shit to do, then stare and shit talk at me (not even to my back mind u, cuz I don't understand the damn language), which is why I fucking like cities cuz I dont like having to put up with shit like this, yeah big cities have their pos and cons (like literally everything on this planet). U have to decide what pros and cons work for u, and fucking go with it.

Finally bought a new scale today, cuz u know a bitch gotta keep track of her weight, even during vacay. U know what really boils my noodle? weight plateau, which r a fucking regular thing for me god fucking damn it...

I helped my mum make lunch today, a classic vegetarian dish. I so wanted to try it along with the tomato pasta, but u know calorie counting and low-carb+sugar diet. I already ate, but I didn't really feel like it was enough (I felt dizzy and frail for most of the day- and it was interfering with my functionality), but I told myself bitch u gotta lose more weight. But then I was like fuck it ima eat lunch and the damn pasta. And I fucking did, and it was so fucking good omg, it watered my almonds so good, I went from plotting to fight and strangle people, straight to wanting to hug everyone. Man I don't know its weird bodies r weird

SO far I know it's my caffeine intake, irregular sleep, irregular eating schedule (I try my best to work on that one, but its hard when the whole fucking family is involved, and on vacay), exercise plan (or lack of at the time being), caloric intake, my fiber, sugar and protein intake, and god knows what else, but so far these r the culprits. I gotta put a plan of action to tackle and apprehend these bad bois.

Anyway, I'm leaving in a bit, an obligation calls. My parents have this social gathering, im being coxed into joining them, although I really don't fucking want to. Let's just say I don't care for such events nor the ppl attending (mostly cuz I don't know them, and I can't fucking speak the language), not like I can interact even if I wanted to, which is relieving in a way, but also annoying cuz I still need to be there, and sit ideally smiling like an idiot. I feel like the shitty teenager I once was, and a large part of me thinks its probably cuz I didn't really grow out of that...haha...omg I lowkey hate myself.

I got 6 points back in 2009 for speeding with a drink drive ban the same night! I don't need any lectures. I can easily say biggest mistake of my life! I done my time and still paying for it.
