#LETSBRIDGEtheGAPS! Hear my heart. Everything is in God's timing. A change is here to stay!!!! . Decades ago, during the times of Atlanta's Missing and Murdered Children, Drive by Shootings, etc., A conversation with a few students tore me a part. It was the 1st of the month, when one Black Male Student asked another ( - in my presence because he knew I didn't have a clue, and I represented to him someone who cared and wanted to make a difference) "Are you ready to get #under the bed, tonight?" . This haunting conversation changed my life. These babies, 11 and under, had to take shelter under beds to escape stray bullets! . Educators were given rubrics which included Homework, to evaluate our students' progress. The realization hit - though the practice assignments were titled Homework, it is OK for them to be completed away from Home.😊 . I praise God daily for for placing the right people in my paths, and for giving me a compassionate heart for others.
