Susie stepped back from the other as he appeared before her, the world seeming to almost slow down with his arrival. If she had just kept Kris back a second longer, then she at least wouldn’t have had to deal with this.. predicament alone.

Tightening her jaw, the young monster gave herself a moment to come down from the sudden startling encounter. Be cool, Suz, be cool.

“You, uh, new to town?”

    Now Noel has seen some pretty strange things in his life. It comes with living on the Boiling Isles in this realm. Strange, fantastical, odd...but somehow despite all the colors of the weird rainbow that inhabit this place, a yellow triangle with a top hat and cane somehow tops this.

    It might be the aura that comes off of this...demon? It’s very old and threatening. It’s giving him the heebie-jeebies, complete with goosebumps!

    Something about this guy is telling Noel to not mess with him in any way, shape or form...otherwise bad things are going to happen. For once, he actually listens to his common sense and takes a step back. “Right then, not everyday I see a floating preschool shape with an eye. You got a name there?”

strange, she didn’t hear anyone enter the classroom, but when toriel looked up a triangular-shaped monster with a bowtie was in front of her and her desk. she must’ve been too lost in thought grading paperwork. “Oh, greetings. i apologize, i didn’t hear anyone come in. may i help you?” toriel regarded the other monster peculiarly. she did not actually recognize him. 

“i am toriel! did we schedule a meeting for today? i don’t remember setting up a meeting for any of the students’ parents.” toriel asked out of curiosity.

Twin purple optics onlined, dirty-gold plating running against panels of each other in silent complaint. The mech stretched, careful not to whack the organic that was undoubtedly still recharging beside him- but his servo managed to come out, smacking into something that was very much not the brick-frame he’d grown accustomed to. Both optics snapped open at the dull CLNG as metal hit metal. The sight that greeted his vision was one that was very much unwelcomed- silver-smooth walls, a giant red robot face on one, the slab of material beneath him as rigid as his own frame.

He bit back an audible groan of annoyance at the room. It was threadbare, just interlocking panels connecting to make six sides- four walls, a ceiling, a floor. Aside from the berth, there was only a door. At least, that is what it would look like to the casual observer. He ex-vented.

Swindle hadn’t lived here in years. And last he checked, he’d demolished the building in question with his own servos.- Every memory he had from beyond its destruction still rang, clear as bells. The constant, unending deals, exclusive clients, new worlds, gaining more and more con skills as time whispered by... One thing was clear: this was a dream. And, to top it off, he appeared to be lucid. That brought more than one temptation to mind, but he opted to see what the rest of the dream entailed. Perhaps he would get to relish the destruction of this base for a second time, break down every lie and falsehood he’d had to listen to once more.

Now that-- that brought a smile to the mech’s face.

“Oh, this should be fun!” He laughed as he stepped off the berth, peds hitting the floor before he jaunted towards the door, only now noticing that the lights were dimmed. A snicker escaped him as he placed his servo where the usual panel would be, the door sliding open to reveal a silver-lined corridor... With more of that accursed symbol stretching out into infinity down either way. “I know they say ‘everyone deserves a second chance’, but this is an absolute goldmine...!” Even if it was just a dream, the thought of making off with every weapon inside was more than tantalizing. He had never done so in his original anger. Why not enjoy this, whatever this was?

Hm. This guy... seemed familiar, somehow. Limbo’s memory admittedly wasn’t the greatest, but he could recall having once met a dude with a similar vibe, a long long time ago. Being that Limbo had a tendency to slip between dimensions whenever he so desired, he reasoned it would probably be inevitable that he’d run into someone’s... alternate self for lack of a better way of putting it.

Were he still human, with a human grasp on the concepts of other dimensions, such a development as this would probably be a lot more concerning to him.

“Hey,” his voice is a shuddering, whispered gasp as he materialized somewhere next to Bill’s left elbow.

“Can I trouble you for a minute, friend? Seems to me I uh... I think I’ve... misplaced myself. I don’t think I’m supposed to be here, wherever here is....”

“If you’d be so kind as to lend a ghost a friendly ear. ( Ah, am I a ghost? Reckon maybe I am, or some kind of demon at least.... )” There’s a lengthy pause, as Limbo apparently was reaching within himself for words that didn’t want to come. At last, he spoke again, “In case it isn’t perfectly clear, I think I’m a little lost... I’m looking for... I. I don’t remember. Something to do with.... light. Heaven? Is that what that light was? It’s all so... muddled in my head...”

The dark cloud of his being floated soundlessly in front of Bill. “Hey. Maybe you can help me figure out where I’m supposed to be? Ah-- what I’m supposed to be...”

Would probably guess this guy is their sleep paralysis demon if they weren’t able to move or speak right now-- but they can so. . . There’s no way he’s here just to do a funny little dance like those odd characters in cartoons sometimes do.

Azura grits her teeth as she strains against the cannon, panic rising in her chest. The barrier starts to form a large crack and if she wasn't quick about it, there's no telling what it'll do to her.

With her heart racing she opts to teleport out of the way a split second before the shield splits in two, the mindscape suddenly dead silent with her nowhere to be found.

One of the bolts took a direct hit upon the human, sending her flying back into the deep void. With a swift move out of desperation she raises her hand to  summon a blue energy shield to keep her safe from his blasts, already quietly regretting the fact that she picked a fight with him by losing her temper.

“YOU DON’T SCARE ME, BILL! There’s no trick your other self hadn’t done on ME! YOU’RE PREDICTABLE AT BEST!”

“YOU KNOW WHAT THEY SAY! IF IT AIN’T BROKE DON’T FIX IT!”

His eye warped, morphing into an enormous cannon with its sights focused on the shield. It fired off rapidly, shooting sharp, visceral looking crystals at the blue barrier. Enough of those and it would crack wide open, to say nothing if one hit Azura. Clearly this wasn’t going to be a smooth confrontation.

“LET’S HOPE THEY CAN FIND ALL YOUR PIECES TO FIX YOU!!!!”
