proposes - Sven definitely. he’s the one rich enough to buy the fanciest of rings, plus he just seems more the type than Bon Bon anyways. he does the best he can for the cheesiest proposal he can muster and probably fucks it up but it’s still genuinely really cute and sweet anyways

Someone should probably go with him though, else Leone will get overwhelmed by the sheer excitement of so many options of good food at the store

Edge is too edgy to sleep, because sleep is for the weak, and Leone’s just a super light sleeper and finds he can’t crash until the other two are fast asleep and guaranteed to not make anymore noise for the rest of the night because he c a n n o t sleep with any peep of noise at all.

plans spontaneous trips - Probably Leone, world traveling is cool~ it’s usually to get away from these shits though. traveling with sylv is way better than darkness mcgee and mister IT’S NOT A PHASE, MOM

Nina would probably get side tracked by a million sweet things, but Nick...Nina probably does it when Terra’s younger, but once Terra gets old enough she just looks at the two of them and is like “You both have no idea of what you’re doing, I’ll do it.”

kills the spiders - Nick does, probably. Nina’s squeamish at least.

proposes - Dorothy probably has to propose. Kat’s not one to take the initiative in this and I don’t think Chris realized that you needed to propose to get married.

shops for groceries - Dorothy does, because she runs the cafe and honestly she probably cooks everything for them. I wouldn’t be surprised.

kills the spiders - Again Dorothy. I think Kat’s a little arachnophobic and Chris wouldn’t want to ever hurt a poor little spider. ;w;

comes home drunk at 3am - Kat does this. Dorothy’s too responsible, Chris probably wouldn’t drink, but Kat...has issues, and I can easily see her getting drunk to forget about her anxiety and fears for a few hours, and also coming in at 3:00 AM.

remembers to feed the fish - It’s not so much of a remembering thing so much as Chris makes it his sworn duty to take care of the poor little fish.

D: How do they react to being flirted with? More often than not, Dustin will turn bright red and stammer for a second before flirting right back. Payback! nwn ...Though usually his stuff’s a bit corny.

U: What’s their voice like? A bit deep, but not too deep- Dustin sounds confident in every action he takes, for the most part, though his kindness also comes across in his voice.

S: How stealthy are they? Eh, he can’t be stealthy once spotted, but Dustin can be extremely quiet until he’s spotted!

T: Where are they ticklish? Dustin hates to admit it, but his feet and stomach are extremely ticklish.

We were both super excited at the idea of being parents after Nina had Terra, ‘cause being and aunt and uncle was already cool, what if we could have our own kid instead of just helping with our best friend’s???? “Ah yes, the nightmare years. I was able to just talk Nicole into staying up in the afterlife just fine on my own before that so long as I kept an eye on her, but when that shit went down, just keeping an eye on her wasn’t actually enough anymore. I ah, kinda owe Alex and Charles a few dozen favors from that time, ‘cause I had to rope them into helping me out with keeping Nicole from leaving. Leaving Nicole alone just wasn’t an option anymore, she always had to have someone keeping an eye on her, and ah... I feel super awful about it now, but things did.. kind of get physical once or twice, since Nicole had to be restrained a couple of times. Hard to do that to the ‘storm goddess’ but Nicole’s not exactly physically fit, so we managed just fine. Nicole even tried fighting a few times to get past us, she was desperate to go help Tip at a certain point, and I don’t honestly get how we managed to stop her sometimes ;w;’“

His smiles are usually just little smirks, not some big, huge grin or whatever. Usually they’re kinda awkward too, almost like he hasn’t smiled in five years or whatever. They can come in two flavors; either it’s a shitty, sarcastic one because he’s fucking around with Ian or someone else he’s comfortable with and you can just see the sass written all over his face, and the smirk isn’t much but it’s just enough to know someone (ian) just fucking died of sarcasm overload. the alternative is just a genuine smile, there’s probably some adorable happiness shining in his eyes, and it’s maybe a little embarrassed and the smile’s not big or anything, but you can still just feel the joy of whatever is making the boy happy emanating from him anyways

6: how they deal with grief

he’s very avoidant when dealing with grief. I mean, he has a very avoidant personality in genreal, but grief amplifies that a hundred times over. he just wants to be alone, he’ll shut people out, just lay in bed or curl up in a corner and hide away from the world and everything. And he will do this until people start forcing themselves back into his life pretty much. He also has this habit of just…. talking with those he’s lost. He isn’t a religious guy, doesn’t know for sure if he really think it’s LOGICAL to believe in an after life, but when he’s alone, he just finds it weirdly comforting to just quietly play piano and talk as if people he’s lost can hear him and are listening intently from some clouds in the sky or whatever. feels like they’re still there…

7: how they like to dress

Comfort and practicality> fashion any day. 95% of his small wardrobe is just hooded sweatshirts that are probably a size or two too big on him and some jeans, though there’s a few blank t-shirts around to wear underneath. Baggy clothes are just comfy, and also people have a harder time noticing how thin you are if they can’t see how thin you are because baggy sweatshirts are in the way

11: their family life

He’s not really close with any of his blood family anymore. Alex is easily his family member he’s closest too, and even then, Mitch does have some hard feelings against her, feeling as though she tries far too hard to sort of replace their parents in his eyes instead of just trying to stay as his sister. Doesn’t help that their very… opposite personalities, and  the combination Mitch’s stubbornness not to go and Alex trying all she can to get Mitch to have some form of social life besides Ian do cause a lot of fights. Or that she tends to be very busy out and about. At the end of the day though, they’re basically all the family they have, and they would trust each other with their life, they’d tell each other a lot of things, and they do all they can to try to help each other out since despite a bit of bitterness, Mitch does understand how hard it was for Alex to basically have the role of being the provider of the family thrust upon her in her mid-teen years. After OFTM stuff, I think Mitch would really grow to appreciate her a lot more though, and they’d definitely get a lot closer when they could finally reunite, they’d definitely get along a lot better. 

Besides her, there’s his grandparents, who are technically his legal guardians, and… well, they’re very distant from Alex and Mitch, and usually resting alone since they’re in piss poor health anyways. Mitch doesn’t really go out of his way to talk with ‘em, and the news of their death in OFTM universe doesn’t really even surprise or sadden him in the slightest. He also has a lot of other relatives, but he kinda lost contact with ‘em after his parents died. After all, it was too difficult for a little ten year old to stay in contact with the half that lived in an entirely different country, and the other half just never put forth much effort, so….

Before their death, Mitch was very close with his parents, his dad especially. They were always very supportive of their kids interests very kind, amazing chefs…. They’d always try to take the kids on cute little “adventures” (i.e. to the beach, out on hikes, scavenger hunts, ect.) and went out of there way to keep it interesting for both their kids. Really isn’t surprising that their death hit him so hard.

13: their embarrassing memory from years ago

So Mitch grew up in a house where they spoke both english and japanese, though there was some favoring towards whatever country they lived at during the time. By the time they moved out of Japan and to the States, well… alex could adjust well! She was pretty good at both languages, and was a lot stronger at keeping the two seperated than poor Mitch was. She still had somewhat of an accent, and sometimes had moments of “I remember the japanese word for a thing but not the english word” but for the most part, she was prepared for the move. poor mitch though. he was no so lucky. he mixed up the two so, so much since he was just five at the time, and it took him years to be able to get a lot of english sounds right, and to be able to speak english without an accent…. the embarrassment from that stuff honestly contributed a lot to why he has such a shy personality tbh

The most embarrassing moments of that came from how he couldn’t even pronounce his own full name properly for a long time or his own older sister’s name (it’s why he goes by Mitch instead of Mitchel, and also why he got so incredibly used to calling Alex Onee-san instead of switching to a first name basis even when they moved to the states.

6: how they deal with grief

ebony is a very emotional individual, kinda like her great grandad ian. there’s a lot of ugly crying, desperately wanting to be around people for comfort and probably being about fifty times clingier to people for a while because she just really wants the company, her anxiety probably shoots through the fucking roof more than it already does, and she’s probably venting people’s ears off because talking and venting so much is just how she gets all her emotions out properly. frankly i think someone close to her would just hire a goddamn therapist for her to talk to for a while until she starts getting better. 

13: their embarrassing memory from years ago

her whole fucking life is an embarrassing memory

anyways once upon a time, when she was still in ballet classes and hadn’t moved on to do her own independent dance stuff instead, Mama Olive ended up coming a bit early to pick her girl up! Class wasn’t over, so Olive just watched everyone as they were practicing for a cute dance recital thing, and uh...

olive got a little too enthusiastic about how great her daughter was doing. also a little too angry when the instructor “rudely criticizing Ebony’s dance” (or in non olive talk, noticing Ebony was doing a step wrong and trying to give her some tips how to fix it, because i was a very tough set of steps)

poor ebony deserved a better mom than olive. anyways after that argument that embarrassed ebony to tears, dan became the person to take ebony to and from dance lessons because olive got banned

14: how they react to burning their tongue on food

Ebony’s surprisingly good with hot and spicy foods most of the time, actually (and I 100% blame this on Matt. Matthew definitely has snuck like half a bottle of hotsauce into some of her cooking several times in the past, and other shitty things like that

So I think if something actually is too hot for her, she’ll just quickly reach for a quick drink of cold water, and she’ll probably be mostly fine after that

18: how they sleep

She usually sleeps on her side or her back, as those are the most comfortable positions for hugging plush in your sleep. And Ebony will always be cuddling plush in her sleep. Or a Ham, post SE. She has more trouble sleeping alone, though she can sleep plushiless or Hamless if she has to. She gets cold easily, but doesn’t really mind warmth, so she probably has several blankets every night, even in summer.

i’m trying to figure out how cuddling stuff adjusts whenever she ends up getting married to sven though because on one hand, cuddling time alone with him would be wonderful, but would she give up cuddling with Ham at night for it???? idk.... maybe she just goes back and forth. on some nights, she cuddles and sleeps with sven, and others, ham gets hugged to sleep.

1: their voice

what voice lmao

...ok, technically he CAN talk, it’s just so physically painful that it’s not worth while. And when he does, it comes out as an incredibly hoarse, quiet whimper-like noise, so much so that it can barely be understood. Beforehe died, his voice was... kinda average? It wasn’t particularly high or low, so ‘average.’ There’s a nice energy to his tone though, it’s pretty chipper most of the time, very clear and understandable, and just pleasant to hear.

8: what they like to eat

Anything that has a very strong taste to it. If it’s kinda bland, and the flavor isn’t incredibly strong, he won’t be able to taste it at all. He doesn’t actually really care if the taste is GOOD or not, he just enjoys when he can actually taste something at all, and actually properly use one of his senses again. Makes him feel a little alive again. That being said, he doesn’t really eat most of the time anyways. His body is sustained on magic, not food, and getting all his facial bandages off is a hassle, and there’s the risk of someone popping in to see him while he’s eating and he’d prefer people didn’t see his scarred up, somewhat rotten face, so food is a rare treat for the guy.

He was really fond of salty things back before his death though. He was always craving just a big bag of pretzels, and could eat ‘em up on his own and never dare to let anyone else touch them. 

12: their romantic life

hehehehehe.... not great....

He’s always considered it a success! He has a lovely girlfriend who is incredibly talented and pretty and kind, and loves him even in his zombie state! He loves how she was always trying her best to make the relationship work even with his... situation, and trying her hardest to keep him around. 

So when he found out she had planned his ‘death’ to use him for her show, well..... He confronted her about it, and they’re kinda separated for the time being, but Nico still has kind of complex and mixed feelings about everything. He still has feelings for Hazel, he can’t convince himself that she really meant any harm (”she just figured I’d be around and alive longer if I’m undead, so it’s.. a weird way of her caring about me, right...?”) but he’s also still obviously very hurt that she planned his death and left him in this inhuman state where he can’t FEEL, he can’t SPEAK, he’s lost all his good looks, he can’t enjoy food, people have feared him as a monster...

But... she meant well, so is it right to really be that mad at her...?

Trent/Emile (Note: I’m answering this from the perspective of ‘happy AU where they just kinda met at some point and they were never in a killing game’ just for the sake of preventing any potential spoilers)

Probably Trent actually, by accident or something. Emile’s feelings probably would have been obvious beforehand, sure, he’s not exactly a subtle guy, but he’d generally pass it off as just ‘oh it’s an act and a charisma thing, part of being a stage performer my friend~’ because he probably wouldn’t wanna take things farther then teasing and bits of flirtatious sense of humor here and there without actually knowing Trent returns the feelings.

who laughs when the other trips?

who pays the bills? 

Trent does most of the actual paper work stuff to pay for the bills, though Emile does his part too. he’d feel bad leaving it all for Trent, though to be fair, Trent’s better at it anyways. They split the payments though, trent paying about half and emile paying about half. every now and then emile will slyly do it before Trent even notices the bills arrived so he can handle all the pay himself (he makes more money after all, so he feels bad that he doesn’t handle more of the pay) but Trent tends to get annoyed because he feels bad if Emile handles all the responsibility himself

which one makes a bigger deal around the holidays?

Emile might be more of a dramatic bitch all around, but he’s generally not all that into holidays most of the time, to be honest. It’s just another day of the year to him, not really that great past a break from work. Trent meanwhile has five younger siblings, so he gets excited about holidays just out of habit of trying to make them fun and cool for his super hyped siblings, whether it’s a holiday he actually cares about or not. family time is best time to him, and he’s dragging Emile into his holiday spirit whether the hypnotist wants to or not (which he doesn’t, but if other people are enjoying it he supposes he’ll play along, ruining their fun would be so horribly villainous after all. he def has the most fun playing along with Halloween tho, because of course he does)

who’s more clumsy?

Emile’s not particularly clumsy, but in comparison to Trent, he’s the clumsier one. Some of the equipment and shit Trent works with as a carpenter is pretty fucking dangerous, and it gets even more difficult when you consider one of his arms is a prosthetic, and therefore lacks the necessary dexterity a normal arm would, so he has to be very VERY careful. His cautiousness generally bleeds into his normal life too, so it’s not often he trips or anything

Mitch

5: Describe your character’s dream date.

He’d probably just like a quiet, simple date honestly. Something simple like playing music together would be perfect for a little Mitch. After all, going out to a place that’s a bit too crowded and public would be more of a chore since he doesn’t like being around people, and even something like a picnic is probably a bad idea with his anorexia issues. All he’d really want is some good music and the company of whoever he was on a date with, so if they’re musical, then a music jam would be the perfect date for Mitch.

8: Does your character hate anyone? Why?

Melena. He really doesn’t like Melena at all after OFTM Mel killed Sera and tried to kill Ryan. Even in PoD AU RP, where he knows it’s not the same Melena, he can’t really help but project the hatred onto this other Melena too. 

There’s probably a few other people too, as it’s easier to get Mitch to dislike you than it is for him to like you, but I can’t think of any off the top of my head…

9: How does your character feel about religion?

He has nothing against religious people so long as they don’t try to force their beliefs onto him, but he finds the idea of a god existing out there somewhere to be kind of a dumb one. He considers it too unscientific, and something that can’t possibly be true. Even after he sees all the weird ‘people get revived’ sort of bullshit, he still finds it kind of, well… bullshitty. Something he can never really get behind. unless it’s like, SC universe or something where knowledge of the gods is common knowledge, but he’s still isn’t really religious in those universes ever

Despite that, he likes to think there’s some kind of afterlife. He’s pretty sure it’s dumb and illogical and childish to believe in an afterlife, but…. he always tries to convince himself there is, since trying to talk to his parents sometimes is one of the only ways he’s really tried coping in the years he spent alone in his room, and he still feels better sometimes if he just talks as if his dead friends and parents can hear him…

11: How did your character meet their best friend?

When Mitch had first moved from Japan to the States, he’d already been bugging his parents for piano lessons, and they caved and got Mitch signed up for a class with a bunch of other kids even though he was only like five. Little Ian also happened to be in this group! Mitch kinda got picked on sometimes when he was younger, partially because he had a strong Japanese accent when he spoke english, and partially because he barely grasped the idea of different languages, and since his parents spoke both english and Japanese around the house, he got the two languages mixed together a lot. Ian decided to try standing up for Mitch when he noticed a poor little kid getting picked on, and after that, Ian tried to tell Mitch that he was so cool because he was one of the best in the class so far!!! And then since Mitch was kinda one of the better kids in the class, Ian always liked to go bug the kid, compliment his piano skills, try befriending the little lonely kid in the class who didn’t have a lot of other friends, and soon enough they were best buds for life. 

16: What other fictional characters remind you of your character?

There’s a few I can think of. Nageki (as they’re both shy and introverted younger brothers who are very capable of snark) Saihara (similar personalities, both doubt themselves a lot in stressful situations despite being very intelligent, plus Saiharas design just feels very Mitchy??) Stardew’s Sebastian (they’re both super introverted and depressive, have internet-focused jobs, and spend almost all their time indoors)

Buuuuut the character I will always most strongly relate to Mitch will always be Shintaro Kisaragi. They’ve both been NEETs for years after losing people close to them, never leaving their homes really, they’re both super awkward around people since they haven’t been around people in forever, have super extroverted sisters, have aa musical job online….

20: What is the most surprising thing about your character?

he’s an OC from me who isn’t a complete dumbass. that’s like, most surprising thing ever.

…..nahhhh, kk, actual thing. he actually has this dress in his closet he kinda likes. it’s 100% ian’s fault, sure, as ian grabbed it because he decided mitch is good for playing dress up sometimes and throws random shit at mitch. mitch hates most of it (not necessarily because it looks bad on him, because Ian’s good at picking clothes that do look good on Mitch. He wouldn’t just pick something that wasn’t flattering.) but there’s just this one dress. One single dress that he actually kinda likes. I mean, Mitch doesn’t really have anything against the idea of a guy in a dress even if it’s not his thing, and this one actually looks pretty casual and normal, and it’s pretty comfy honestly. the only thing that stops mitch from wearing it with jeans and a hoodie is the fact that being a guy in a dress will get a ton of attention and he wants none of that.

33: In what ways is your character like you?

that moment where my oc i relate to the most isn’t even an oc that has ever been a self insert oc

granted i’m at least trying to get out of my situation and get a job and all that stuff and have just been unsuccessful so far, unlike mitch who could have stopped at any point any simply chose not to, but still

38: What role does your character play in their story?

For the first portion of OFTM, I’d call Mitch kinda the protag’s sidekick. He was a main character through the people he’d befriended, but he wasn’t really terribly important himself until third trial. He just assisted the other main characters how he could. As of Jason’s death though, I’d bump him up to protag. He always seemed to be important from then on out somehow, had somehow ended up pulling a lot of weight solving cases, brought back Ryan, and just ended up being what kept anything going from a certain point on. It feels really weird to call him that as he’s not quite the type who would usually make a good protag, but… he somehow ended up in that spot anyways

50: What is your favorite thing about your character?

I like to think I’ve done a good job making him an actual good depiction of someone with depression, someone who has horrible anxiety, a lot of problems, and making it apparent that these are all huge problems for him without making him annoying over it. One of my biggest pet peeves in writing is those characters. The ones who have tragic backstories, and get super angsty and… that’s the character basically. Where the writer tries to make someone with a certain issue, but the character becomes that issue. There’s so many characters that feel like the writer is under the impression that if they are writing someone who suffers from depression, they’re never genuinely happy!! Or if they’re writing someone with an angsty past, they always have to angst over the thing!!! it’s ridiculous, and as someone who has trouble with depression it’s super annoying to see characters who I should be able to relate to just being so constantly angsty and “incapable of joy” so often in media stuff that i like. So writing Mitch is very relieving for me sometimes. he’s cynical and has a boat load of issues, sure, and he’s not usually the happiest of people, but that’s not gonna stop him from getting excited when someone lets him talk about his music or from being happy around his Onii-sama, or any of the scenes where he’s just had a good time. 

also i’ve mentioned this in a different ask meme before, but to sum it up quickly, his character development just feels super satisfying to me. to explain it more tho, here’s a copy and paste-

I find development from him to be some of the most satisfying of all my ocs tbh. Looking at him in the PM RP I have with Maxy for example, I’m just super proud of how much this kid can grow. He still has a lot of issues to work through, yeah, but compared to how he was towards the beginning of OFTM? He’s trying to get help and trying to be social, and even if he still has a really hard time with it, and even if he still wants a lot of alone time, it’s just so satisfying to see how much he has already improved.

60: If you could title your character’s life, what would you title it?

‘A Never Ending Avalanche of Bullshit’

i stg there’s always more and more weird shit being thrown at this kid despite his low bullshit tolerance.. giving him a break sounds impossible at this point

alternatively, “Why Does Everyone I Look Up to Suck At Culture Knowledge??” because this keeps happening. ryan, then sakuya, and now charles the medic…. 

Zoe

2: What is your character’s favorite memory? 

There was one time back before she left her little thieving group when this really rich merchant guy was going through town. Silas was kinda sick so he couldn’t help, and Zoe didn’t really want the kids helping since the merchant guy was armed since some of his wares happened to be weapons, yet they were kinda running low on some necessities at that point, so Zoe went to steal some shit from him in the middle of the night. She also nabbed some treats from a nearby bakery on the way back to base, and made it back just in time for a few of the kids to be waking up. Since they didn’t usually steal more than what they needed, having all this cool new stuff and treats and shit was pretty new for the kids, and even if Silas was about to chide Zoe for taking wayyyyy too much from the merchant guy, even he couldn’t say no to how happy and excited they seemed over it. she remembers their happiness over everything pretty fondly, so ye nwn

11: How did your character meet their best friend? 

As kids in an orphanage. Neither had the most friends around as Zoe was both kind of a jackass even back then and also a tiger laguz in an area with some racism issues, and Silas was a kid who who naturally had a very strong ability to use electric magic but no knowledge or skill controlling it and therefore it got out of hand at times. They sort of bonded over being some of the only people willing to put up with each other, and then even more when they ended up kicked out of the orphanage for causing too much trouble~

20: What is the most surprising thing about your character? 

Despite her usual demeanor, and the fact she never really takes anything seriously and is generally more of a coward when danger happens, she can actually get very protective of kids. Especially orphaned kids or kids in bad situations. It makes sense because of her past, sure, but when she normally doesn’t give two shits about what sort of danger people might get themselves into, it’s not the first thing you’d expect from her

23: Is your character morally gray or black or white? 

Very gray. There’s some things that she tries to put into a clean black and white without even realizing it (i.e. assuming authority is inherently bad no matter what) but for he most part, she’s kinda jaded and believes that if you don’t have an amazing hand given to you in life, you sometimes have to stoop to doing unethical things for the greater good or to survive or whatever, and that no one should blame you for that since that’d just the way life works 

24: What prejudices does your character have? 

Considering how bad authorities are in her town, she uh... She has a tendency to have kind of a bias against anyone involved in law, or aristocrats, or authorities in general...

also since the guards and knights that were always around her home village were probably the main source of the classicism/racism issues in her old home town (technically it was mostly the fault of he aristocrats and authorities hiring them, sure, but it was the knights hired from the town military to act as law enforcement and guards that actually enforced that shit) she kinda maybe hates knights and military type people a lot. good thing I’m getting a knight for a partner in BATU remake, eh...? ewe’

37: Do people have justified grudges against your character?

Yes. Oh my god yes. Now, there’s many unjustified grudges against her too. There was a lot of racists in her town that only hated her because she was a laguz, and people who hated her for association to that guy who accidentally caused a town wide power outage once because he got startled, and people who just don’t like the poor in general. But at the same time, she is still a thief. She’s probably the worst of the lot in her little make-shift family, as the others only steal out of necessity where as she goes a bit beyond that. She’s also kind of a jackass who enjoys pissing people off.

But... there’s even some tension around her old group of thieves... after all, she’s a coward, and said cowardice fucked up a very dangerous heist, and said cowardice made her leave the group instead of taking responsibility, so...

40: What would be your character’s favorite school subject? 

If she’d had a chance to go to school, I feel like she’d love some sort of a debate class, actually. Choosing the side everyone else seems to disagree with just to play devil’s advocate and come up with a good enough argument to make something she actually finds kind of stupid seem appealing would be hilarious to her. 

41: Would your character want to have any children?  

Well... yes and no. She would technically want kids. She has a soft spot for ‘em honestly, and helping kids out of situations like how she and Silas grew up would be very appealing to her. But she’s kind of a loner, and she doesn’t really wanna settle down and stop being a sort of wanderer, and she wouldn’t really trust herself to be in charge of kids again, so she wouldn’t choose to be a parent in normal circumstances. If she ended up with some kind of partner who seemed good with kids though, whether platonic or romantic, she actually MIGHT bring it up... maybe....

56: What’s one of your character’s quirks?

She really likes being in high places, She isn’t really sure why, but it’s just relaxing to her, so she climbs trees and stuff a lot. But because of this, she gets kind of restless sleeping in a bed, so she tends to sleep up in whatever high places she can get to, whether it’sin a tree, on some random person’s roof, on a ceiling fan, on top of Cinderella’s Castle, ect.

It took forever for him to convince me to let him outof my sight…I’m pretty sure I might’ve taken longer if it wasn’t for the factthat summer was ending soon and he’d have work to do again teaching newstudents.”

Sure, I made friends before and after, but there was something about mybond with Yoshi that I can really only equate to the one with Nicole, so atfirst it was hard to pinpoint the difference. He was my first friend I made onthe journey, and so he was always a consistent presence even when I was messingaround with some of the others and I’d honestly thought that was it. Losing himmade the Lor feel a lot less like it was home. And the more I did think aboutit, the more I realized he was the family I’d always wanted. The home I waspromised for joining this journey.”

Figured it'd be fun to ask about two different versions of Nicole (BAT2 and SC). [1 (very important question), 3, 7, 12, 15, 28 (BAT2 - World 7 Interlude) (SC - After events of CoH), 37, 43, 44, 50, 57, 73, 74, 91, 94, 96, 97, 100 (Biggest difference between them?).] That is 18 questions for two characters. Hopefully that's not too much.

As a note how I’m going to do this is write answers that are the same in both, and then specify for different.

Nicole:

1. What do they smell like?

Nicole as a light fruity smell. If I had to imagine a more exact fruit I always associated her with berries, so probably like berries.

3. What is their biggest motivator?

SC: Her biggest motivator in SC is the people she cares about. She wants to do her best to make them proud, and do what she can for them. 

BAT2: Her biggest motivator has become basically spite to prove her sister wrong. Her sister believes violence and the White Fang is the answer. Nicole believes there’s another way, and will find it and pull it off. As she forms more connections to more people, this gradually changes.

7. Which of their relationships have impacted them most positively?

SC: I’d have to say Ian. Ian has served as her support and honestly him being a Faunus helped her start to learn to put trust in people. I think if Ian hadn’t trusted her with his secret, she wouldn’t have started to open up to a lot of people, and as much as I cringe at the angst fest that was the scene, it also gave Nicole the motivation to open up, not to mention Ian isn’t afraid to call her out on her bullshit, and Nicole sometimes needs somebody to help her snap out of her anger.

BAT2: Honestly I don’t think there’s a single relationship that helped Nicole out more in growing as a person. Zoe helped her understand that she isn’t wrong in her opinions on her situation at home as well as open herself up, Daisy helped her out by giving her a person she could truly consider family and helping her realize family is not the people who you’re related to, but the people you choose, and Tip has helped her view shift less towards “I have to prove Autumn wrong” and more “I have to look out for those I care about.” and that’s a huge step in her development.

12. How do they like to dress?

More casual than formal, she prefers skirts and shirts to dresses or jeans since they allow a bit more variety. She also feels more comfortable with a hat on than without one, it’s become more of a security blanket than anything else.

15. What is their greatest achievement?

SC: Well I mean…she’s killed a god, started a widespread and positive movement for Faunus rights, and cheated death…all three are pretty good.

BAT2: The achievement she’s most proud of is getting into Beacon, especially since she’d been working her butt off for the rapid change in goals. Also beating a few enemies is a pretty good one.

28. Are they happy where they are currently?

SC: Yes. Nicole at that time is happiest when she has the people she loves around. She was missing Tip a lot in CoH so just having him around makes her happy. She could be happier, if Tip wasn’t so destroyed too, but she’s happy.

BAT2: She’s getting there. I don’t think I’ll include this in the rp but Nicole is very worried about the idea that she won’t be able to stay with everybody she cares about (Tip/Zoe/Daisy/Peach/Chirithy) but right now she’s trying to ignore that and the idea of how Beacon might go in favor of enjoying the time she has with her friends now. So it’s mixed, but more happy than not.

37. When was the last time they cried?

SC: I’m gonna go with post SE for this, so the last time she cried was when she got reunited with Tip. The idea that he’s there, and she can finally be with him after over a hundred years apart is very overwhelming, and so she broke down in tears.

BAT2: In the middle of world six when she was experiencing all of that pain, I’d imagine while she was cuddling Zigzagoon she was holding back as many tears as she could to avoid having a breakdown from the pain, but quite a few slipped out.

43. Why might someone dislike them?

Nicole is abrasive, quick to snap, quick to judge, overprotective, defensive, goal oriented, ruled by her emotions occasionally, and incredibly stubborn. I think those are all pretty good reasons to hate her.

44. Why might someone love them?

She’s loyal, honest, caring, overprotective, she’d be very doting to somebody she’s in a relationship with, intelligent, confident (not self confident, but confident in her decisions and convictions), and strong.

50. When is their birthday?

Story time, you all remember how Nicole is a former self insert? Well as it turns out Aries and Fire are both things I like zodiac and timewise associated with her. So I wanted to keep her in my zodiac range.

And sometimes it’s just easier not to change things from self insert roots. Nicole’s birthday is April 17th.

57. What D&D alignment are they?

True Neutral. She tries to do the right thing, but her emotions get in the way of that frequently and she may do something wrong if it’s for her benefit (i.e. Her willingness to murder if people hurt her friends is very obviously something not good but that she is willing to do.) She’s also got a flexible moral code, but not one she’d just throw out the window. As a note I do think BAT2 Nicole might have a slightly higher proclivity towards good, but not enough that I’d go for a different alliance.

73. Do they have a pet?

SC: I mean Celestia’s kinda a pet?

BAT2: A long time ago, Nicole in the original BATU had a dog. I kinda want to bring this back, so Nicole has a pupper that she’s terrified of but the thing is so dopey that she finds it hard to hate them. Also, does Peach count as a pet? *shot*

74. Are they quick to anger? What are they like when they loose their temper?

SC: Yes. Oh god yes. It’s mostly due to the fact that she’s incredibly angry at herself for breaking promises and perceived failures. Her goal oriented focus is not a good thing here, since she then dedicates herself towards taking out whatever and whoever hurt the people she cares about.

BAT2: I think BAT2 Nicole probably could have the same hair trigger temper, but hasn’t had as much of a cause to activate it since her position with her sister has made her a bit meeker and there hasn’t been a lot of people trying to murder Tip/Zoe/Daisy/Peach, so…

91. What is their sense of humor like?

Nicole has a sarcastic and dry sense of humor. That being said if she’s sleep drunk Ian doing something stupid would have her in stitches so hell if I know.

And yes this applies to both.

94. Outlook on life?

SC: Realist, leaning pessimist. She’s very good at hiding the fact that she thinks something is wrong, but good god does she not have a positive look on life. Fate made things worse and she became more pessimistic, but still tries to be realistic.

BAT2: Realist, leaning optimist. She still keeps a more realistic approach, but she tries to be positive and make the most of a situation when she can, though that’s not often given this journey.

96. What is their greatest weakness?

Her overprotective and reliant nature means that the fastest way to hurt somebody is to hurt the people she cares about. She doesn’t hide people like Tip or Ian or Zoe or Charles or Daisy away, so the end result you get is it’s really easy to hurt her by hurting others who might not be as good at defending herself. 

Also her temper is a really bad flaw since she doesn’t know how to control it when she’s upset with herself or worried for people. She doesn’t think clearly and takes a lot of unnecessary risks.

97. What is the greatest strength?

While her being very transparent about the people who you could hurt to hurt her, Nicole’s strength also comes from her love for her friends, and it’s those friends that give her her strength.

100. Biggest difference between them?

Aside from backstory (SC is one of the few rps where Nicole has a positive relationship with Autumn) the biggest difference between them is their temper. SC!Nicole by the end of SC is honestly a ticking time bomb that anybody could set off by offending Tip and/or Ian. BAT2! Nicole as of now, while still easy to set off if her friends get hurt, is a lot more chill and won’t jump down people’s throats just because they were mean to Tip/Zoe/Daisy. 

Also on that note the focal of her Faunus arc has changed as well from “I’m a Faunus and just want to escape racism” to “My sister is abusing me and I need to gtfo” also has had several impacts as well.
