"M'Sorry, my focus hasn't been here the last few days. Glad to see a survivor from the prison."
Rick offers a smile; a broken carousel that plays the same tune because its old and giving out.

Wasn't much of a surprise to find her out here and alive. Didn't seem to be doing too bad for herself either. And the boy she had with her, he looked just as fine as he did the last time they were together. What happened at the prison was a helluva long time ago. She wouldn't be quick to forgive him, he knew. He couldn't expect that much of her. Not that he was looking to have her forgiveness. If he could work through her son though then he'd be able to acquire it. And with her forgiveness, even if it is reluctant, he'd take leadership over her and Harrison once again. They would be his to protect. Just like before, in Woodbury. And just like before Lainey and her son would easily succumb to his authority. No, he wouldn't implicate any impossible rules to follow nor would he revert back to his old ways. This was a new beginning, a different life. Out with the old and in with the new. Wasn't that the saying? Well, at least that's all that Philip could hope for. It was all that he needed, what he desperately held onto. Change was inevitable but how it's applied to one's life always open for debate. Lainey didn't consider him a changed man. Despite his appearance, he was the same as he had always been. And what exactly was that? What kind of man had he really been? Everything he did was for survival. Everything he did was for the protection of his people. So where'd he go wrong in trying to save Lainey and Harrison? What was it that she despised so much about him? It was the attack on the prison. He made that move too soon. Didn't regret making it so much but he wished he had more patience. Hard to ask that of a temperamental man. It's hard to ask anything of a man who doesn't want to give what you want. He could've waited longer. Andrea had sped things up though and he had to act quickly. Then he lost it all. Woodbury fell to pieces as did his leadership. Without any people to protect, who was he but another fragmented piece of a this very distorted puzzle? "I wanted to be." He said with a frown. Standing in front of Lainey and Harrison now made him feel alive though. Now he had purpose. Now he had people to protect. His eyes looked over Harrison, making sure he was okay. That was the one he cared the most for, the one he truly wanted to keep safe. If Lainey persisted in her doubts, he wouldn't have a problem in leaving her behind. Not something he was looking forward to though. "But here I am, alive and well." He was still looking down at Harrison, affording himself a small smile once he was certain that he was okay. He finally looked over to Lainey, the smile becoming something of a smirk. "You don't look too bad yourself. How've you been holdin' up?"
The Devil Beside You || Philip & Lainey
"Momma… where are we going?" Harrison’s dark brown eyes that unmistakably match his mother’s look up to catch his mother’s attention, "I feel like we’ve been walking for a hundred miles. Can we stop for just a minute? Please?" He begged his mother. Lainey looked at her son and she nearly tells him no, but she reconsidered, "For a minute. We need to find someplace safe before it gets dark, honey."
She knew they needed to keep walking but just giving her small son a minute to rest his tired legs would be okay. She felt terrible that this was the only world he knew and even more terrible that no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t shelter him from it all. Harrison sat on a large rock and kicked his little legs absentmindedly when he looked to his mother again, “Why were those people shooting at us?”
"They wanted the prison." Lainey answered.
"Why couldn’t we all share it?" Harrison replied with a genuinely confused look on his face.
"Because the man who was leading them… is a bad man. He’s not good at sharing." She offered a simple and vague answer which Harrison easily accepted. His little eyebrows furrowed together, "His mom should teach him better. He’s a stupid head." Harrison muttered a bit angrily, and for the first time in a while… Lainey genuinely laughed. Of course, no happy moment ever lasted in this world.
She quickly shot up and grabbed her pistol from the back of her pants as she saw the tall and familiar figure approaching. There was no where to run now that they were in his sights. She stood in front of her son protectively but the curious boy stepped out from behind her, “Momma, what are you doing? It’s just Phillip,” It’s just Phillip. Lainey had never told her son about the terrible things The Governor has done because she didn’t feel it was necessary to fill him in on the gruesome details. Anytime her son asked anything she would give a vague answer, never naming names, and now more than ever… she regretted that. Harrison started to run towards the familiar man that he hadn’t seen in so long before Lainey grabbed him back towards her, “Harrison, don’t—” She now held him protectively in front of her. “What, why?” He innocently asked before looking back to Phillip, “Are you okay, Phillip? Did you get bit?” He asked with genuine concern on his face, figuring that must be the reason his mother didn’t want him to go near him. Lainey’s gun was now lowered but she continued to stare daggers into him, “I thought you were dead.” I hoped you were dead— was what she really wanted to say.

thesurvivor-elaina found the Tree House
Cami found that star gazing in other worlds was quite relaxing. It made everything seem so big and helped her put her problems in perspective, and sometimes she would see something familiar either from her new home or her childhood home. Not only did it make the universe seem huge in all its' glory but also small in all its' splendor.
She looked down from her perch and notice a small fire, it piqued her interest as she slowly crawled from that tree to one closer. Cami saw a young woman with her child was about to leave before something caught her eye, that woman had her glamour up, but that hardly fooled the queen, there was no mistaking her to be part fey. The queen wasn't expecting this.
Climbing down, Cami strutted into the light with a kid smile, her glamour fading. "I never expected to see a fey here. Why are you here, if I may ask you."

Merry Christmas, Lainey and Harrison!
"Merry Christmas", Charlotte yelled out happily to Lainey and Harrison as she walked into their place with a bunch of presents. Then she handed them their presents with a warm smile on her face. "I hope you like them", she said to them before they started to open up their presents.

thesurvivor-elaina said: "I know all. You can’t hide anything from me, Rick." She swallowed and put a hand on her heart as if she were genuinely sorry, "Well, shit… I’m sorry. Did ya want some? I can always spit ‘em into your mouth like you’re a baby bird." She suggested.
Well...that won't be necessary. I have another stash layin' around. Unless you done ate that one, too.
I'll have to find a new, better hidin' place for the emergency stash. You'll never be able to find it, cause you're not allowed to go there.
