Celebrating the golden hour. Here in Spain the light is incredibly intense. At the height of the day, reflected off the sand or the whitewashed buildings, your wedding photos can bleach out unless you have an experienced local photographer. Celebrating the story behind the white rose. Our styled wedding shoot on this vintage Spanish fishing boat was beautifully decorated with white roses and green foliage. I had asked the florist to supply one red and one white rose to show a typical rose ceremony - however it was so flipping hot on the day, the red rose wilted. As the white rose represents purity, innocence and youthfulness I actually think it makes the best emblem for eternal loyalty and everlasting love. Celebrating not doing a handfasting. I wanted to show a special ceremony on our styled love-boat wedding shoot but wanted something different to the traditional handfasting or knot tying ceremonies. I chose to show "hilo rojo" or the red thread ritual. I used a fine velvet thread to symbolise the connection and inevitable meeting of two souls destined to be together for ever.
