I feel this was an obligatory stop on my trip to AIPAC and Washington, D.C. I spent the past few days learning about Israel, her triumphs, and the menaces who seek her destruction. I felt compelled to visit the US Holocaust Memorial Museum because to understand her spirit and the spirit of the people who inhabit her, you have to understand the darkest days her people have ever known.
