3. What work are you most proud of (regardless of kudos/hits)?

Answered here. It's the Two and Two series, it will probably be that for a long time. Probably the most interesting thing I've written so far because it's poly but I think not in the way many poly fics are done (they can be quite fetishistic, or focus heavily on one main relationship with the other characters being token additions, which is not the case here), it has the 4 different POVs, it's an in depth exploration of relationships all while respecting the canon facts of the people this is based on hardly being seen in public together at all during the time period in question.

(If I can cheat and add some older tennis stories I am also quite proud of On a Cold December Night - Fedrinka as main pairing, ft. aspec Roger)

6. Favorite title you used

Have to answer with the Two and Two series again because I rarely use original titles (mostly I steal them from song lyrics) but 'Two and Two Together' and 'Of Sums and Parts' are original titles and they really fit each of these stories - two couples who get together and then the interactions of various parts of the group of four and their dynamics when they're all together.

18. The character that gave you the most trouble writing this year?

No one made me tear my hair out this year which was nice, but in general I have more trouble writing from the POV of the ones I like best (and am maybe attracted to the most, though that's difficult to define for me) so for Tennis RPF e.g. Andy is giving me much more trouble than Novak, usually - it's disconcertingly easy for me to write Novak, most of the time, really. Don't ask me what that says about me. I remember last year it took me a while to find the Jelena POV in Two and Two Together but this time she was much easier to write because I now have a version of her in my head, so to speak. Oh and Delpo is an interesting one (this is from a WiP that I hope to finish soon) because while I didn't have trouble finding his voice I am constantly negotiating how much bitterness to put into it - we'll see how that turns out.

I don't want to keep clogging my blog with vent posts but uh... I guess this is a more general concern/observation

But it's getting real hard to stay motivated in fandom spaces when there's little compensation, and annoying occurrences are more frequent than good ones.

Mainly there's been less engagement/people showing interest in creators and their art (such as sending asks, making comments and reblogging with tags) and MORE parasocial interactions. This goes for both artists and writers.

Over this year I've noticed a vast disinterest within my public in general. Asks about ocs, my art, or just nice simple comments of ''I love your art'' has been getting more and more scarce. My follower number is bigger than 2-3 years ago sure and I get more likes on my posts but they are feeling more like just numbers and statistics than actual people who supposedly like my stuff.

And while people being parasocial with creators has always been a thing, I feel like it's gotten way worse... in general? People sending personal pictures out of the blue in hopes of being validated, unwanted psychological advice or assumptions about the creator without any established connection first ( <- these happened to me in the same week.) ventdump, just insensitive/lacking of common sense comments in general, unreasonable demands (mostly with writers)... I wondered at first if it was just me, but a handful of mutuals/acquaintances who are artists and writers seems to be going through it as well.

It's annoying. It's tough. It's getting exhausting. Creators pour so much of themselves into their work—countless hours, effort, and passion, all to share something meaningful or entertaining with others (and for FREE) The LEAST anyone can do is show respect, even if opinions differ. When a writer posts a fanfic, don't just say ''omg post next chapter!'', when an artist posts a drawing of their favorite character, don't just say ''omg draw (character) next!'' as if they're faceless content machines that are expected to churn out more '''content''' for you without acknowledgment, encouragement, or appreciation.

''I want to support creators but I don't know what to say and I feel intimidated by their talent so I just lurk silently :((('' I swear to you, no creator (at least not the majority) is making up an intimidating persona to discourage you from interacting with them. They WANT your comments. A single ''I love your art/writing/videos'' or even something as silly as ''I want to eat your art'' is enough to keep a creator sighing dreamily for WEEKS. It doesn't have to be deep! It's heartfelt and that's what it matters!! (Just remember to keep it relevant and thoughtful... It takes just a bit of common sense NOT to comment things like ''this looks like (another character)'' or ''this but with (another unrelated ship/character/show)''. No one wants to hear comparisons or unrelated ideas when they’ve poured their soul into something.)

In fact, the ''I like your art but I think you're intimidating'' feels more hurtful than flattering. It makes me feel like I'm doing something wrong, acting wrong. 💀

If you love that fanfic that changed your brain psyche forever and want to gush about it, go tell the writer. If you loved so much a piece of art that you saved it a million times in your phone and can't stop thinking about it, go tell the artist. Push away the ''they probably won't care about my comment/it won't make a difference'' thoughts. DO IT NOW. You won't know when they might go inactive forever or deactivate. You can't know if that is the last piece they will ever post. Make sure you show appreciation to creators NOW, while they are still here. While they're still not being replaced by AI.

In the Warriors Cats, clan cats are given names which contain prefix and suffix. The prefix is the first part of the cat name what is given to them by their parents or leader of their clan. Usually it has something to do with one's appearance or personality(for example, a white kitten can be named Whitekit). And the suffix is the second part of the name. All clan kits have the -kit suffix, while all apprentices usually have the -paw suffix, but a warrior's suffix can be practically anything - again, it can have something to do with their appearance, personality, a honorable thing they did, or it may be just a word added after the prefix(Yellowgrass, Whitefur, Gorsestep, anything known to wild cats and related to their life really). Loners and kittypets can have any name though, it, again, can be some object, animal, ect; or a name given to them by Twolegs. Cats also can change their names if they don't like their previous ones anymore, I guess. Oh, and leaders usually have that -star suffix to their names to signify their connection to their ancestors and beliefs. I think Machete would have a name related to his rather unusual appearance — something like Palefleer, Thin/Bleachthroat or Houndripple. Or Longsnout.

As for Vasco, I personally often associate him with sun and sunshine, flowers, and golden color for his fur. Goldenheart and Goldensun or Goldblossom sound pretty much elegant. I wonder how Ludovica's name may sound like. Speckledove? Daisyleaf? I thing it will definitely something related to her fur and eye color or flowers/plants theme.

And while we are at it, I believe Machete will be come kind of healer there. I wonder how he and Vasco could've met with each other. I can already imagine them running away and secretly meeting at night to spend some time together away from their clans, aha.

I was wondering what mobility aids Danny uses, how does the stages for the blood blossom poisoning work and what he wears and do as nightingale.

oh you're totally fine! i love getting questions. as for danny's mobility aids, i was thinking that he has like, three main mobility aids he uses. He has a cane, arm crutches, and a wheelchair, and he swaps between them depending on his mobility and pain. OH he also wears compression gloves and socks.

as for the blood blossom stages, i'll keep it pretty loose and nebulous since making the stages too detailed will just make it harder for me to write it lmao, gotta give myself that creative wiggle room. But there's probably like, three... four? main stages?

The first one being when it's in its neutralized, semi-dormant state after receiving an (upgraded) antidote. In that stage, Danny's chronic pain is at its most manageable. He starts regaining muscle mass, an appetite, he has more energy. His immune system is pretty shot because its busy fighting off the blood blossom, but he's still essentially at his healthiest.

Stage two of the blood blossom poisoning is when the 'antidote'/'neutralizer'/idk medicine because calling it an antidote isnt super accurate, starts breaking down and loosing its efficacy. At first it feels like just a bad pain day from stage one, but over time it starts becoming more insistent and the pain is in places it normally wouldn't, or the sensation is different. Danny's health starts taking a dip and he begins losing muscle mass. He starts feeling congested the same way you do when you just get out of a bad cold: where you're technically fine, but you're still getting coughing fits.

Stage three is when he starts actively.... bleeding. The pain has upped the ante and has now spread through his entire body, he's having frequent, wet, coughing fits. He's nauseous, has a pounding headache that's quickly becoming a migraine, and shaking with effort to stay standing. This is where his nose starts bleeding and his coughing takes on a red color. He's getting pale, having heat flashes, and overall looks like a kid who was poisoned with a cannibalistic blood toxin.

Stage four is the last stage, and throughout it Danny is officially delirious from both blood loss and pain. He's extremely nauseous, having trouble comprehending what's around him, and is now spitting up blood. He's in so much pain that he's alternating between feeling numb to it and then NOT feeling numb to it, and overall is having trouble moving his body. At stage four he's in a high-risk emotional state, which is bad because he's at risk of waking up his dormant ghost core, and then it's an immediate game over for him.

Danny was at the beginning of stage 4 when he found Bruce. Lucky him!

As for Nightingale! I know I said in the original post reblogs that he'd be running around with Bruce, but that was more of a conversational, 'talking about an au for fun' thing rather than something I'd use in a fic. So I can't see him running around with Bruce as Nightingale in the slightest, not only because of the blood blossom stuff, but also because its just not in line with how I'm writing Danny in LATN.***

In fic, Danny's going to be taking on a more backseat/support role as Nightingale, rather than a field vigilante like Batman or Robin. He's more of an eyes-in-the-sky type kinda like how Barb is, who only goes out in the city if he feels the need to deliver something to Bruce directly, or if he thinks Bruce needs backup. He's "the emergency backup" as I like to call it, and if he does go out, he typically sticks to ranged fighting and sabotage.

He also likes to help make gadgets for Bruce to use, and helps with cases when he can. His input becomes helpful when Gotham's gimmick villains start popping up, as he has experience with this type of crazed clownery, while Bruce does not.

As for what he wears! The first time he goes out as Nightingale was not intentional, it was a spur of the moment thing. So Nightingale's first 'suit' is just a thrown together disguise that includes:

1. the comically large hoodie Danny stole from Bruce because it fucken COLD in the cave and his circulation is shit.

2. his compression gloves

3. a light, blue-ish gray scarf that was conveniently lying around because again, it fucken COLD. This is because Danny doesn't have a mask and needs something to hide his face with. 4. the black face paint stuff bruce keeps lying around that he smears over the upper half of his face like a makeshift mask. Once it becomes evident that this is going to be a 'thing', bruce gets a proper suit made for him. I have a concept drawing made way back in the reblogs of the original post, but im just going to link you to fanart that made friend Crow made because its much better quality. Danny wears the suit while he's in the cave just in case he needs to go out and help Bruce, as well as that same hoodie.

***TL;DW: while Danny doesn't regret saving people in Amity and he'd do it again, he hated ghost fighting and wanted nothing more than to be normal. He felt that he was the only person who could fight back against the ghosts, and as a result he was left horrifically traumatized, without a proper support system, and cut off from most everybody else because he didn't know how to balance his hero life and his civilian life.

He wouldn't return to frontline hero work even if he could, not unless he felt his particular skillset needed him to.

Overall, for Danny, Phantom isn't the name of a hero, its just the name of a dead kid. And the dead deserve to rest in peace.

I know it’s completely not what Eddie was doing by bringing Chris to LA - that it was entirely about bringing Buck comfort when he desperately needs it, but I can’t help thinking that Chris being back in LA will make him realise that LA is actually where he wants to be.

That LA is where he and his dad are happiest - where their life is and where they should be, and that’s going to prompt him to tell Eddie he wants to come back to LA in the last episode of the season - because ultimately Eddie isn’t going to make the move back to LA unless Chris initiates it and says it’s what he wants.

i like to believe 7x04 is confusing to truly get a definite answer on because it’s bucks pov and he’s unsure of what he is feelings and there fore so are we as the viewer. we see eddie not as an extension of the buck and eddie duo in this episode but in a different light literally in the basketball scene and having him with sun glasses on was such a nice touch & the clutter on the table when tommy comes over in the end but next ep when eddie comes the table is clear because buck knows who he is now & the use of light blue in his shirt that scene and the scene where he comes out to maddie and she is wearing the same shade almost like a symbol of hope

Okay . Phew , took me a hot second to get these screenshots because I had to rewatch the episodes lmao . But . This is really interesting to me . Buck was wearing ONLY blue throughout these two episodes . A dark blue , a light blue and a darker seafoam color . I'm not entirely sure what it could really mean but it means something because it was ALL he was wearing , including his uniform . The dark blue could represent , his frustration in not knowing what he was feeling , being clouded over by all of these overwhelming n frustrated jealous / feeling left out emotions . The light blue could be , a beacon of light finally shining through because he's talking it out with Maddie and hoping these feelings lighten up . He's back in the darker blue when T comes over , maybe he was still feeling like he didn't know what these feelings are about , why he's down about it . I also have NO idea what kind of paperwork he was doing there lmao but the tables being a bit messy compared to when Eddie was over is pretty interesting . Maddie's in the sea foam .. could be representing the sea of emotions calming down and trying to settle the storm of what Buck was feeling since the start of 7x04 . He's still in the darker blue though with a white t shirt under , the storm is still there but the light is shining through because he knows he didn't mean to lie to Eddie , he's just still new at all of this . Now the darker sea foam in the last ss , could mean something similar to Maddie's , where the sea is calming down but it is still a bit stormy , he's still confused about his feelings , he wants to help Eddie with his problems , he doesn't know what he should do until he comes out with the truth and Eddie tells him to call Tommy back . Other notable fits :

The ALL navy blue uniform with AHEM . THE E ON THE SLEEVE . The first time the E appears . I still 100% believe it's standing for EDDIE , the metaphorical and literal initial of who owns the HEART on his sleeve . This superrr dark green ( with black ) that could be a really dark sea foam if you turn the brightness up lmao . And blue stripes with a hint of white during the first date . The uniform is kind of really self explanatory but I love that he was wearing that amazing jacket with it , it's such a good look . The dark green could also be where he's just so darkened with the guilt of lying to Eddie and bombing his first date with a man and wanting to ' fix ' it all but not knowing where to start . The date shirt is just , full of awkwardness to me , still the same where the storm of , wanting to try and figure it all out but it's all swirling and getting out of hand but there is a sliver of light that is shining , he just doesn't know where it's pointing to .

he's a bully―a real cocky one at that, with no regard or remorse for how his actions affect those around him.

on the day before your 6th birthday, right as your parents gathered together for the annual countdown, he gobbled up the entire plate of your favorite milk cakes before you could even take a bite. this marked the start, the beginning of a vengeance stewing inside of you.

at the age of 8, when you first learned how to do your own braids, he would tug at them, pull them free and unravel all your hard work for the past hour. you used to chase him for it, yell "satoru!" with all the strength your little lungs could muster and he would merely laugh and run faster.

the name "satoru," you've learned, must be synonymous with "sabotage," because it's all he's ever done. he threw the flower geto suguru handpicked for you straight to the ground, and purposely splashed gutter water all over the white dress you intended to wear on your first date.

not to mention, he's always rubbed in the fact that he's better than you, at everything―dangled all his accomplishments in front of you as if he knew they were just centimeters out of reach.

gojo satoru is solely responsible for tainting your childhood memories a miserable cerulean blue.

so, when your parents sit you down one day and tell you that you'll have to marry him, you feel transported in that moment, to each and every instance gojo has ever wronged you. it flips through your mind like a montage of flashbacks in a movie.

it's both surprising and not. your families have always been partners, in everything―business, education, and now you guess, life as well. you hate gojo's guts but this creates an opportunity you don't think can result from anything else.

the wedding planning is horrendous―at least, you hope it is for him. you pick out every single cake flavor you know he hates and choose the brightest venue possible for the event. the lights you pick for the afterparty are strobe lights, and you make sure to do multiple test runs just to play with his eyes. it doesn't occur to you that the solution to his light sensitivity is simple: just a plain pair of shades.

you wear plumping lip gloss on your wedding day, just so his lips burn when you have to kiss him. but gojo is either extremely numb or just good at faking it, because all he does is grin as he whispers quietly before parting, "spicy."

in preparation for your married life, you create a ledger of some sort―a book of accounts housing every single thing gojo has done wrong. you write down your plans to get him back for each of them, a list of pranks and inconveniences to make him regret ever messing with you all those years ago.

at half a year of marriage and 25 years of knowing each other, he casually tells you the big "i love you," but you're sure he doesn't mean it. you tell yourself your heart is racing from how infuriating his existence is; at how stupid his face looked when he'd said it. not anything else and most especially not the little dimple on his cheek that shows itself every now and then.

(you didn't know it yet then, but he'd found the ledger you kept and read through it all. the one-year plan, the three-year plan, the five, and so on. and it does nothing but strengthen how he feels about you, since he was 6, 14, and a few years ago at 24.

it's at your third year of marriage that you find out―how gojo's known all this time, but more importantly, how there were reasons behind every single instance you thought he was out to ruin your life.

with intelligence far beyond his age, gojo has always preferred the company of adults more than children. at age 6, he would listen in on conversations his mother had with her friends, roughly comprehending complex worlds with the simple ones he understood. someone had mentioned something about their daughter being allergic to milk. and so, when your birthday came up and all he saw were milk treats, he gobbled them all up in an effort to make sure you wouldn't be subjected to an adverse reaction―even though you were far off from any dairy allergy.

what he was sure of, however, was that you were severely allergic to bees. and when he spotted one perched right on the buttercup stem geto handed you, he had no choice but to smack it right out of your hand and down to the ground, stepping on it too, for good measure.

and, okay, maybe he was a little naughty for tugging at your braids when you'd just spent all that time doing them, but he always liked how they flowed into waves when they unravelled; how you'd chase him afterwards, angry but so, so pretty.

if there's one moment gojo will consider real sabotage, though, it's that date he stopped you from going to. like there was any way he was going to let another man see you dressed like that. he isn't nice that way. when gojo wants something, he's not sharing, and the sight of you in white―that was meant to be his and only his.)

I just saw that you used to be a wedding photographer??????? What????? That's so freaking cool. May I please ask if you have any fun stories while doing that?

Yes!! I actually did wedding photography for 11 years while I was working towards my B.A. and M.A. degrees, but then I got married right after I got my Master's and have been staying home with my kids for the time being. I've even dabbled in real estate photography and event photography around Chicago that were promoted by some athletes (but I don't do sports so I didn't really care 😅). But as for fun stories from weddings? OH BOY DO I.

I could honestly go on and on about some of the things I've witnessed in my time as a wedding photographer because we see EVERYTHING (and we do also manage to capture a lot of shit in the background of photos which is hilarious during editing time). Obviously I've been a part of many days that were really romantic and sweet with wonderful families and couples that literally made me cry real tears because you could tell they were in love. And I've also gone through horrible breakups then had to immediately go spend 14 hours on my feet photographing someone else's happiest day ever (which isn't fun when you're trying not to go cry in the bathroom 😅).

But as for fun stories? Well, I did have some strange requests from a couple wanting their Best Man streaking in the background of some of their wedding photos--but they had him do it without getting my permission first. So...that was...a very shocking and uncomfortable moment for me. But also NOT the only time I've had men naked in front of me for that job. It happened far more often than I'd care to admit. But also...WHY would you want permanent photos with your Best Man naked from your wedding day??

I've also had to sit in a party bus filled with a very drunk bridal party and watch the Best Man and groom get into a heated argument which then led to them getting into a physical altercation with each other on the steps of that state's capital building (I sometimes traveled out of state for weddings so it was not my state and I regretted traveling for it). That was definitely an odd wedding that I was so uncomfortable at and to this day I have no idea what they were fighting about, either.

I've also had to overhear grooms convincing their new brides to sneak off to go have sex somewhere at the venue real quick, dealt with bridezillas/groomzillas, and even the overbearing mother of the bride. I've had those Guys That Don't Take No For An Answer hit on me while I'm trying to work, and I've even photographed an ex's sister's wedding. Honestly, you meet all kinds of people as a wedding photographer 😅

But I think the wedding that forever sticks out the most to me was the biggest wedding I'd ever done in downtown Chicago. It was at this very grand, very expensive hotel and this couple had rented FOUR rooms for each event of their wedding day. The bride had literally 3 engagement rings and a wedding band, two dresses, and a 7 foot cake. I'm saying this wedding cost easily over $200,000. And you know what she told me she wanted pictures of? The decorations and her little dog. She barely let me photograph her and her husband. I had to convince her for the few photos I got. They'd been dating for ten years, and by the time I had their wedding photos edited a few weeks later, I wasn't really surprised when she told me they'd already broken up. Like...what??

I've definitely experienced a lot of interesting moments at that job, I will say that. And I will say it's not one I'm probably going back to again 🤣

Machete: Sardinian Anglo-Arab or Cavallino di Monterufoli

Vasco: Salernitano or Lipizzano (they come in colors that aren’t grey)

I have other recs if they aren’t Italian. I would add Neapolitan to Vasco, but you won’t find many (if any) photos of them. It went extinct in the 50s as its own unique breed. The Lipizzano is a descendant.
