Btw if you're into fantasy and can read lots of lore and dialogue I highly recommend Trader of Stories. It's a series of free point-and-click games about a young woman that lost her memory, but has the ability to tell strange vision-like stories of the past. It takes place in a detailed fantasy world with a Great Oak, tree-people, humans, the gods that created and left them, other things, and I can't say much more without spoiling the pleasure of discovering it all by yourself. The visuals are gorgeous and the characters are memorable, the writing is great, especially in the second game where your choices can lead to different scenes and challenging puzzles. You can play both of the first two games on the creators' website, check out the two non-canon prototypes, and stay updated for the third chapter, which is coming soon (!!!!!!)

Man the more I hear about Flight Rising moderation, the more I'm like legitimately fuck y'all. You get so mad at people for using multiple IP addresses that there's an entire caveat about how you need to tell the moderators if you're changing IP addresses or that multiple people in the same household use Flight Rising because otherwise your account is at risk of being nuked.

Like I get they don't have much server space, but when you kick off dedicated users because 2 people in the same household play and one gave the other a dragon, then you're having problems seeing cheating where it isn't there and your moderation reflects that.

No, someone switching accounts because of your weird hang ups about changing IP addresses and moving their stuff over isn't cheating. No, siblings playing FR together and giving each other dragons and clothes and gems from the same IP address isn't cheating. They've created this atmosphere where people are downright paranoid to have 2 accounts from different people on the same IP address, or even just changing your IP bc you moved or something.

Like. Idk. I think that's fairly detrimental to your playerbase, and the fact they're nuking accounts that aren't even cheating is honestly extremely fucked up. I love playing the game, but when it gets to the point where they're banning players for *checks notes* having multiple people in the same household play, then I think the mods need to back off a bit.

Not to stoke the flames, but I'd love to hear your extended take on FR's issues (as a fellow formerly actively player) if that isn't too much of a problem- I've been feeling the same about the site these days but you'd probably word it far more eloquently :(

Gene bloat on the marketplace, scryer, and auction house is an obvious response but really I hate the blatant cashgrab of it all. For any customisation of an ancient breed at all, you will need a skin or accent. I would hazard a guess and say that skin blueprints are the biggest driver of gem sales on the site. But all skins are user generated content - ergo all real currency that people sink into customising their dragons is going to staff and not the artists of the skins. it's pushing staff's inability to draw apparel (in the DRAGON DRESS UP GAME) onto the users and making profit from it. Last year there were something like 3 ancient releases. They push them through in huge volume, creating more issues with bloat, while the new real dragon breed is likely not going to arrive until 2030 if ever because they make more money from ancients.

Also the designs of many are lazy and not nearly as out there as we were led to believe. The newest ones are just... regular dragons, as are sandsurges etc. Overall I find that there's an evident lack of real planning at flight rising dot com, and staff just kinda making shit up as they go.

Now that the halloween event is over I'm gonna give my final opinion. For context, I finished the event on 2 out of 4 accounts (my main ES server one and my US server one). On the first one I used the incognito cheat to get the 3 pulls every day from day 3, and even then I would not have finished if it weren't for the tokens they gave us in the mail. On the other account i spent around 400 gems and played normally (I managed to finish the event one day early).

The Good

The illustrations were all quite nice imo, and I think the witch costume was good (specially some specific items that are very usable, the puppet one was cute but not my vibe).

The Bad

Starting with the special scenes, I found them all quite mid. I understand that we are very early in the story and romance so I can excuse it a bit and I was not expecting anything over the top, but 3 out of 5 scenes are essentially the same, i need some more originality

The minigame is a disaster, I believe they did fix some things cause I saw *some* changes but it was not a significant upgrade at all. Aside from that, it was still very laggy for me (pc and mobile), the controls were horrible (you cant use the mouse for whatever reason and when you click on the keyboard arrows it moves the cannon a lot, so its hard to be precise and of course, if you take too long it shoots for you. Who thought of this?). I also find the point system inadecuate.

Now, onto the gacha. First of all, making the scenes with the crushes (the main point of the event!) random and part of the general pool, making it 100% possible that you DONT get your crush or ANY crush by the end of the event, is a foul decision. Again, who thought of this?. The gacha is simply poorly executed (and i LOVE gacha games), if you make an event like this where EVERYTHING is random, you need to make it possible to complete it entirely as f2p (yknow.... like it used to be? even if you need some extra grind, but the possibility has to be real), that is simply FAIR (to make it all random and not "completable" f2p you need to give players the option to choose their priorities, again that is simply being FAIR).

Finally, what in the world is this very obviously calculated overlap of events? The episode starts for VIPs when halloween isnt even over and for nonVIPs just a day later, and then ANOTHER gauge bar event right alongside it???? When you're fully aware many players have spent AP on the Halloween event to get the limites time clothes? Fr? I'm glad that VIPs got their episode AP to count for the gauge (and I wont say thank you cause that's the bare minimum) but its interesting how we got no response regarding the complaints with the egirl event.

Final Words

I still have the innocent hope that BV will learn for the Christmas event, cause this Halloween one was obnoxious, unenjoyable, required WAY too much grinding/cheating and it was not worth it at all.

I hope we get something better next month.

Bonus points if they're a fractured version of time witch cleo from WCSMP.

And then... THE VOICES. THIS IS WHAT I IMMEDIATELY SNAG ON. Would the voices be different people, or potentially just alternate versions of Gem? Also yes ive decided gem is the protag and pearl is the princess but thats bc my original knee jerk reaction was "gem is the princess (esmp2 gem was a fave) and pearl is the hero" but then i thought harder and went waittt i love shapeshifter pearl and dimension hopper gem. I can work with that.

Anyway yeah im thinking different people for the voices, but I'd probably give gem her own internal dialogue alongside it bc it'd be less interesting if she was just the vehicle for the plot in this au. I'll probably have her be both the actual 'hero' character and voice of the hero, for simplicity.

Who's your favourite ACOTAR character?

It’s definitely a tie between Lucien and Nesta! I’ve been a ride or die for Lucien since the first book, because I love me a charismatic red head, but I tend to be more vocal about my love for Nes.

Who's your least favourite character?

Oof, it would have to be Amren. I just don’t think she really adds anything to the story beyond existing to be snarky and drop lore when SJM writes herself into a corner. Definitely a character that would have had more impact if she would have stayed dead.

Say something nice about your least favourite character.

Her concept is very interesting! A creature that is not a faerie who was forced to inhabit the body of one. Who had greater abilities than anyone could dream, her only connection to the creature she was, only to lose them all at the cost of her living. Psychologically that is so cool, I would love to read more about what it meant for her mental state in the aftermath.

Who's your favourite High Lord? (If you picked one for your fav character, then who's your second fav!)

Tarquin! When he was introduced, he just instantly stole the show for me. I loved how gentle he was with Feyre, his kindness and confidence in his goals to unite lesser and high fae, and how passionate he got when confronting the Night Court.

Favourite MINOR character?

Remember the mortal that Feyre, Elain, Azriel, and Tamlin saved? Briar? Yeah, her. I’m obsessed with her story. A woman who was essentially groomed into praising the fae, learning first hand how awful they could be, and then going off to live with them in her lowest? I need more of her. I want to see how she develops. I hope she’s got a story in the future, because some main players don’t even have a name but she does! I also fuck with Jurian but I don't think he's really a minor character.

Favourite ship? (Crackships included!)

Oh there’s just so many, I can’t keep up. I think my top three, however, would be Azris, Neris, and a secret third crackship that I cooked up, Eris x Azriel x Gwyn. I call them Azrisyn in my head. I’m working on a fic. It’s a whole thing. I think I just really like shipping people with Eris.

Favourite court and why?

Spring! I love the aesthetic and how deeply magical everything was. It truly was like entering a new realm, with a new creature and magical adventure at every turn. I'm also a Winter and Autumn enjoyer.

Because of the sheer size, this Court is divided into four sections, with each of these sections being overseen by a Stewart, who report directly to a (gasp) High Lady. They're called the High Council. Now I want to write this.

What relationship would you have wanted to see more of in the books?

Emerie and Azriel. Azriel has such an intense loathing for his people that it greatly effects his own view of himself. I want his arc to include him learning more about his culture, and overcoming that internalized bigotry. I want him to look into the face of someone who has been just as brutalized by the Illyrians as he has and realize that they are a people who need help out of the cycle of violence.

What's your unpopular opinion?

All of them, but my most unpopular one is probably that Cassian's wings should have stayed shredded. It made no sense for them to heal, and it would have added more to the story and his character (ie having a bridge to Nesta) to have him stay disabled.

What's your favourite headcanon/fan canon?

I love thinking about the faeries being more magical! I have a whole thread of eldritch horror-style High Lords and I think about it often. A less intense headcanon I have is that Eris has a gap in his front teeth and Gwyn has glowing freckles because I think its cute.

If you were swept away to Prythian, what's ONE thing you would want to do?

I’m shooting my shot with Lucien, so write that down. I also want to do the Winter Solstice in the Winter Court, because I feel like that would be so much fun. And then I’m moving to Dawn because I do not think I am surviving literally anywhere else. If the climates didn't kill me, the politics would.

If you could have ONE faerie ability seen in the books, which would it be?

If Helion's spell casting and cleaving don't count as one ability, then probably shapeshifting.

gojo loves taking you to concerts and even if it’s for an artist he doesn’t really know or like, he’ll absolutely sit through anything for you! he’d sit thru the worst metal concert ever and even learn a few songs ‘cause he loves you so much. he is more than likely to just take you on a long walk in the city somewhere on a lunch break or just any sort of free time and enjoys trying a random hole in the wall restaurant with you. sometimes they’re an absolute gem, and sometimes he has to order sushi or pizza just to erase the taste on his tongue. they can’t all be winners. he just enjoys trying new foods, experiencing new things and being with you as much as he can. he’s also vvv prone to randomly giving you a coffee as the day progresses and he knows you have things to do, or forcing you to sit in a cafe and do work/write and is perfectly content to just sit and watch you. his spontaneous nature, while seemingly just for fun, is just a way he likes to keep things interesting for you and is due to always wanting to see your face as it lights up with joy at other good shared experience.

Future Redeemed Rambles/Thoughts

FUTURE REDEEMED SPOILERS!! DON'T CLICK UNDER THE CUT IF YOU DON'T WANT THOSE!!

So! Future Redeemed is A Lot. Both as a prequel to 3 and a book-end to the Klaus Saga.

I am enthralled by it with my only major complaints being the return of the Community system + things like Gem Unlocks being locked behind excessive exploration which doesnt gel with my personal aim for these games which is Get Strong Quick, Punch Big Bad In Face.

Starting off with what started it all, Klaus's experiment and the insights we gained into the Trinity Processor. (I haven't reviewed 2's TP stuff extensively so I might get some details wrong) But i love the details we got! About how Pneuma was engineered as a female persona, Logos as a male one, and Ontos as a (NON-BINARY!!) arbiter! I love how this finally gives context to why Gallea was given godhood beyond her being in the room with Klaus. it's because Ontos; Alvis needed two halves to balance and ultimately introduced a third, splitting his power more to favour Shulk. Whereas in 2, Ontos wasn't even there so Klaus was handed his godhood alone, leaving Pneuma and Logos as purely processors of information. I also think that "those two" that Rex was referring to in the final fight weren't Pyra and Mythra, but rather Pneuma and Logos. Since realistically, Pyra and Mythra wouldn't have helped that much, being about equal strength to Rex as is, who alongside the party in general was already clearly struggling. But if we think about Ontos's actions wholely as a radical conclusion of a machine being actualised, having its two main "weights" present may have actually shut him off (It turns out that Pneuma was kinda sorta there in Matthew's glove, and Logos maaaybe in N's sheath).

Now focusing in on more of FR's specific details and its links to 3. First of all, It Worked!! Origin worked!! It brought the worlds together!! I'm so happy we got to see that. And dude,,,Dude the blending of 1 and 2s world! How Valak and Tantal combined alongside Prison Island! How Colony 9 actually existed! And god how sad it was that it was so ruined and overgrown and it eventually got annihilated by Origin, which explains why we never see the Cent-Omnia region in Base 3, because Origin wiped it out.

What I would've done to hear Rex and Shulk call their kids their son and daughter out loud!! I'm so mad (not really) that they didn't, also I guess Panacea and Linka founded the houses that Rex and Shulk are the statues of, good we got to see the actual founders! As for the 7th, I have absolutely no idea. Maybe it was spelled out and i missed it? It'd be super super funny if it was Riku, maybe A?

Dude, God, A!! I love that her Vision breaks Alpha's Perfect Monado Buster and lets the player beat him! Xenoblade has always been really good about tying its themes and world into gameplay (Yaldabaoth, visions against Zanza, Vs Jin and Malos above Morytha). (Also cuz i was playing with the Japanese voices I had to piece together that that's what was needed LMAO).

And perhaps what took me out the most, Riku's masterpon is MELIA?!?!?!

THE FUCK?!?!?

So THAT's what that nod was in Origin!

Anyway uhhhhh Future Redeemed Good. Buy all the Xenoblade Games on Switch. Do it

Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia Yuna and Seymour Guado Banners

The Recurring World event just started in the Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia (DFFOO) mobile game. This event came with 2 banners.

Recurring World Banner 1

The Recurring World banner 1 features the following chars and their weapons:

Yuna from Final Fantasy X - 15cp, 35cp, Ex, LD, and Force or FR

Seymour Guado from Final Fantasy X - Burst or BT only

Palom from Final Fantasy IV - 15cp, 35cp, Ex, and LD

Irvine Kinneas from Final Fantasy VIII - 15cp, 35cp, Ex, and LD

Have everything on this banner except for Yuna’s FR, Seymour’s BT, and Irvine’s LD.

Have a copy of Palom’s LD but it hasn’t been limit broken at all. Have 2 copies of Irvine’s Ex. One has been limit broken twice.

I know I must have used 2 copies of Irvine’s Ex in order to limit break my first copy. Shouldn’t have done that though because Irvine’s Ex gives a good E Sphere.

This Sphere raises the ranged attack of its user by 15%. Don’t know yet who I’d want to give this Sphere to but it’s good to have a few copies in case I need more or something.

Recurring World Banner 2

The Recurring World banner 2 features the following chars and their weapons:

Yuna from Final Fantasy X - 15cp, 35cp, Ex, LD, BT, and FR

Palom from Final Fantasy IV - 15cp, 35cp, Ex, and LD

Thoughts about Yuna from Final Fantasy X

I like Yuna from Final Fantasy X (#ad) well enough, which is why I have her as fully built as possible.

Right now, I have her 15cp, 35cp, Ex, LD, and BT fully MLB. Her Ex has been Purpled or upgraded to Ex+ 3/3. Her Burst has been Greened or upgraded to BT+ 3/3.

Yuna has her High Armor, and it’s been upgraded to Blue. She has her Bloom Stone.

Yuna has triple perfect Artifacts - 3 Charged Esuna Boost★★ (Esuna use +1; raises MAX BRV by 40%) with Buff Attack Boost All★★ (Raises party’s MAX BRV, ATK by 10% with active buff).

Yuna is equipped with the following real Spheres:

Paladin Cecil Harvey’s (from Final Fantasy IV) Full HP Break Hit BRV Gain All C Sphere

When inflicting Break or attacking target afflicted with Break while own HP at MAX: • Grants party 5% of individual MAX BRV once per turn

Queen’s (from Final Fantasy Type-0) Break Hit Attack Boost All Shorter D Sphere

When inflicting Break or attacking target afflicted with Break: • Raises party’s MAX BRV, ATK by 5% for 3 turns

All of Yuna’s Summon Boards and Character Enhancement Boards have been completed.

Yuna is a support and healer. She offers pretty good buffs and auras. She can even deal pretty decent damage. She can extend the duration of the party’s buffs. She can remove the party’s debuffs. She can also battery the party.

Interested in acquiring Yuna’s FR, not just ‘cause I like her but also because it’s the only weapon I’m missing for her and I want to complete her.

Yuna’s FR isn’t really meta though. Sure, it works well enough, and Yuna’s a good support but there are better FRs out there.

And, even if I bring Yuna as my support and healer, I’m more likely to use the FR of my DPS. So I don’t really need Yuna’s Force weapon. Would love to have it though.

I’m torn on whether to pull for Yuna’s FR with tickets or with gems. Initially, I was thinking of using gems but - although I want Yuna’s FR, don’t really want to pity it. Don’t want to spend so many gems trying to get it.

It’d be nice to get a copy of Seymour’s BT and Irvine’s LD but don’t really need either. Even if I get Seymour’s BT, have no plans of Greening it or fully building him.

Irvine doesn’t even have his own Force and Burst weapons yet so he’s super outdated by now. Not gonna use him even if I manage to get his LD. At most, he might see use as a Call.

Recurring World Banner 1 Free First Multi-Draw Results

As part of the Winter Festival campaign, we get a free multi-draw on both of the Recurring World banners.

Banner 1′s free pull gave me nothing more than a dupe of Irvine’s 35cp. Bleh. Bad pull is bad.

Recurring World Banner 2 Free First Multi-Draw Results

My free multi-draw on the Recurring World banner 2 gave me a gold orb which turned into dupes of Yuna’s LD and either Palom’s or Yuna’s 15cp. Meh. Wish that Yuna LD dupe had been Irvine’s LD instead.

Recurring World Banner 1 Tickets Pulls Results

After thinking about it some more, decided to just ticket the Recurring World banner 1 in the hopes of being able to get Yuna’s FR and maybe even Seymour’s BT.

I might not have any plans of Greening Seymour’s Burst weapon but it’d still be nice to have it.

Also, I just checked and it looks like Yuna’s Force weapon will be back on a future banner so in case I fail to get it now, at least I can try again later.

Anyway, currently have 179 tickets on hand.

Aside from the usual bronze and silver trash and gold dupes, here are some of the more notable items that I got from these 10-draws:

2/10, came from a gold orb - dupes of Yuna’s Ex and Irvine’s 15cp

Meh. Wish that Yuna Ex dupe had been Irvine’s Ex instead.

1/10 - my very first copy of Irvine’s LD

Hell, yes! Was really pleased to have been able to get Irvine’s LD.

I might not be able to use him for any endgame content since he’s horribly outdated by now but it’s still nice to get something new.

2/10 - dupes of Irvine’s 35cp and Palom’s LD

At least I can now limit break my first copy of Palom’s LD. Would still need more dupes in order to fully MLB it though.

After a few more 10-draws, a Force orb showed up.

Hell, yes! Super pleased to see this. Also super pleased to get my very first copy of Yuna’s FR.

Yay! So glad that I was able to get Yuna’s FR just by using tickets.

Aside from Yuna’s FR, this 10-draw also gave me a dupe of Irvine’s 35cp.

Was down to 99 tickets when Yuna’s Force weapon came home. Still don’t have Seymour’s BT, and it’s too bad that I wasn’t able to get dupes of Irvine’s Ex, but it’s fine. Done pulling on this banner.

Yuna from Final Fantasy X

Since Yuna’s FR is gonna be featured again in a future banner and since it’s not really that good and I don’t really have any plans of using it right now, I decided not to spend the High Power Stones needed to fully MLB it.

Normally, if I get a Force weapon, I’d equip it to a char even if it isn’t fully MLB. But I can’t do this for Yuna because I have her Burst weapon and I’ve already Greened said BT.

Equipping Yuna with her FR means I’d have to drop her Burst+ 3/3 weapon which I don’t want to do since the latter has higher stats.

So now Yuna’s FR is just gonna be sitting in my inventory for the foreseeable future until I can fully MLB it and get its passive.

Although I chose not to MLB Yuna’s FR for now, I did decide to get all of her Force Enhancements so I can make use of her as a force gauge charger.

Recurring World Banner 1 Daily Free Single Draw Results

Each day, we get 1 free single draw on any one of the currently available banners in Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia.

For now, I’ve been using my daily free single draws on the Recurring World Banner 1 since I’m still missing Seymour’s BT and certainly wouldn’t say no to dupes of Yuna’s FR, Palom’s LD, Irvine’s LD, and/or Irvine’s Ex.

Wasn’t really expecting to get anything from these free single draws. It’s really rare to get a gold from these pulls. It’s happened before but more often than not, I just get the usual bronze and silver trash.

So one day, was surprised when I actually got a gold orb.

This turned into yet another dupe of Palom’s LD. Ah, well. At least this dupe will let me limit break my first copy of Palom’s LD again. Now I just need 1 more dupe to fully max limit break Palom’s LD.
