Trying to work out my Rook de Riva’s family history, and I’ve gotten distracted by Viago and the Antivan royal family. Who could possibly have predicted.

Previous king: King Natale. He was still ruling in 9:28. Natale had a lot of children - at least 11 legitimate enough to be in the direct line of succession, plus who knows how many bastards. Did not appear to cover himself in glory.

Known children of Natale:

Current king: King Fulgeno II. We don’t know many details about him, but he’s Viago’s father, so can be assumed to be at least in his 60s. Has been on the throne since at least 9:41. Does not appear to be covering himself in glory.

Prince Azrin and Princess Ferenna, who joined forces to work Azrin up from 11th in line for the throne to 4th through assassination of their inconvenient siblings/niblings - including possibly arranging/inducing Estefan’s assassination. Zevran was part of the mission to assassinate them both.

Prince Estefan: probably one of the older sons of Natale? Father of Rinna and apparently a lot of other bastards. His assassination for sleeping with married noblewomen was the one that was duplicated for Dante and Viago in 8 Little Talons.

Other descendants:

Rinna: was sent to the Crows, presumably on the same deal as Viago, at around about the same time. She was Zevran’s (and Taliesin’s) lover, and was assassinated by them as part of Crow Politics (ending the Rosso Noche faction that would have tried to put her forward as a legitimate successor to Natale, getting Eoman Arainai the seat of 8th Talon and reminding Zevran of his place in the House - the inciting incident for Zev taking the contract on the HoF. )

Did Viago know Rinna? They’ve got to be a similar age - was she competition? Is the aftermath of the Rosso Noche conspiracy/faction still a hinderance to his dreams of taking the throne? How unpleasant was it for him when his cousin’s ex/murderer came back as The Renegade and how much has it influenced his politics as a reformist Talon?

I've been wanting to ask Evan Dorkin recently if he's considered working with an independent animation studio online. Sort of like The Amazing Digital Circus and Murder Drones, or like Monkey Wrench, to get his show back off the ground as well as selling merch. I know it's not that simple but it would mean he gets to keep rights to his show without letting a network own it and he'd have control over where he wants the show to go without having to worry about censoring for TV. The fandom is slowly growing from what I've seen so the interest is definitely there and I think we'd all love some official merch both for ourselves and to support the show.

That being said, I'm way too shy to ask him myself lmao.

My constipated little lady (11 y/o cat) spent the day at the vet for observation as they gave her fluids and a bit of laxative. Still didn't manage to pass the mysterious blockage, doesn't show on x-ray other than that she's got some pockets of gas in there that haven't moved. Brought home with expectation to likely have to do surgery tomorrow if she doesn't fart it all out tonight. She's still got a thingy (don't know the english word, "kanyl" in swedish) on her leg so they don't have to stab her again tomorrow, which means she has to wear the dreaded Cone so she doesn't bite at the well-wrapped bandage.

Life is very difficult for little Smulan right now.

The vets did however tell me that she's been a Very Good Girl. Very well-behaved and easy to handle. Proud of my brave little lady.

Yes! I'm actively working on it now that I'm on hiatus ^^ I have 2/4 books for season 1 ready to go!

I'm planning to launch a kickstarter early next year for the first four books! (The pirate arc, the summer camp arc, the ghost hunting arc, and the vampire hunting arc)

I'm planning for each book to be $25, and I'll ship them out over the course of a year. (shipping in the us will be about $7 per book, and internationally it'll be around $16 per book!)

Each book is 100-150 pages and 8.3x5.8 inches ^^

I've got some really cute and exciting things planned for it!

Consider this the official announcement and a warning that it'll be pretty pricey! I'll have themed merch bundles offered as well (partially pictured) so it can add up fast! If you want all 4 books, expect to spend about $150 including shipping!

I hope the protoframes remain relevant even after this story arc for the Drifter concludes, but I also recognize how complicated things would get with how many characters they could keep trying to make stay relevant, leading to a Konoha 13 Naruto type situation where we have too many relevant characters from Umbra & Ordis all the way to Kaya Velasco.

I don't have very much money to contribute to the OFMD craft fair, but I love that it's given me so many artists and crafters to follow who I might not have found otherwise. I've been looking through some people's shops and commissions and stuff for all the cool things I want to save up for that I couldn't get this time.

Also being able to actually contribute to a fundraiser thingy like this was SO cool. I'm not very confident in my art or writing so I'm not really fanzine material, but I sure can crochet!!!

I bought a car! I’m so glad to not have to think about this again for at least 5 years 🤞

But almost more exciting is that I had a near perfect credit score, 895 out of 900, which apparently is the range used by car dealers. The guy told me to frame the paper lol.

Oh my god guys

So my sister's car was stolen last month. Like two or three days after Christmas. (right after her birthday too!) Shit sucks, who the fuck steals shit right after Christmas, but you know we can't really do much about it. She was super upset too because she had literally like 50 CDs she'd been amassing since high school in there.

My mom got a letter yesterday saying that my sister's car was at X towing place, and we owed literally hundreds of dollars but that's not the point. The thieves had taken it for a joyride (been kind of common in Mpls actually) and then abandoned it outside a McDonalds.

My sister went to pick it up today. She found her CD collection.

AND A PAYSTUB BELONGING TO THE GUY WHO STOLE IT, WITH HIS FULL NAME AND ADDRESS.
