Volume 38 is quite an interesting volume, and its cover is more like a romantic novel cover. Kishi gives it an orange sky background. Orange it is a warm and vibrant color that can help to convey excitement, action, attraction, fascination and energy. Orange color commonly used in movie posters because these colors can evoke feelings of warmth, passion, which are ideal for certain genres such as action or romance. Orange represents desire, passion, and love. And Orange symbolizes love and happiness.
In this volume we see naruto's longing for Sasuke. Naruto is very happy or satisfied knowing that his chakra nature matches Sasuke's fire type. He developed Rasen-Shuriken by continuously keeping Sasuke in his mind.
After being hospitalized due to the after-effects of using the Rasenshuriken, he and Sakura are alone here, this is his best chance to flirt with her, but he reverts back to Sasuke again. He is not worried about the consequences of using Rasenshuriken. Instead he emphasizes about how they're getting closer to Sasuke and is very happy about it.
In the previous scenario, Naruto was brainrotting about Sasuke, and when sai & sakura approached him he lied that he was devising a date with Sakura. If you say he lied because he didn't want to worry her about Sasuke…if that's the problem, then he shouldn't lie about dating her when he's thinking about another boy. He could have said, "I was just thinking about Sasuke…how to save him…blah blah blah…" Kishimoto could have easily done something like this, but he spent an entire page showing that Naruto lied about thinking about a date with a girl, but the fact is that he was thinking about a boy this whole time. To them, they don't know what's on his mind... but to the readers, it gives a hint that he's gay but closeted (trying to hiding it from others). His lying makes it more ambiguous and more obvious that he loves Sasuke...but not in a brotherly or friendly way.
While eating ramen with his teammates at Ichiraku, Naruto suddenly looked unhappy, quiet, depressed, and soulless.
Sasuke is what makes Naruto so determined. He developed the Rasenshuriken to save Sasuke from Orochimaru. He doesn't mind getting seriously injured while using his jutsu as long as he gets to closer to Sasuke and able to rescue him. So, when it comes to Sasuke, Naruto won't listen to anyone's advice to the contrary, no matter who gives it and how well-intentioned. That's why he suddenly shut Kakashi up with a smile.
Come to think of it, it wasn't the first time he shut others down when the subject was about Sasuke. Even though he was wrapped in bandages, his irritation was visible in his eyes. He doesn't care what happens to him, all that matters to him is Sasuke, which is why he doesn't like it when others try to get in between him and Sasuke or trying to stop him.
When Sasuke sees the bridge, he remembers Naruto and reacts to it with a calm gentle smile. While Sasuke is in his world of nostalgia he doesn't even hear Suigetsu talking to him.
Although the two do not interacting, yet, they are thinking about each other in this volume.

Is it okay to have a digital altar to a deity in Animal Crossing?
Absolutely! Using a digital space like Animal Crossing for your magickal practice is not only okay, but it can be a profoundly creative and effective way to connect with your chosen deities or spiritual forces. In the realm of Neo-Technomagick, the digital and physical worlds are interconnected facets of the greater reality/ the Omniverum, where every space — whether digital, material, or conceptual — holds potential for magickal practice. Your digital altar in Animal Crossing can serve as a potent focal point for your intentions, rituals, and spiritual connections.
Here are some ways to enhance your digital altar in Animal Crossing:
Infuse Intent into the Design: As you create your altar, consider the symbolic correspondences of the items you place on it. Choose colors, objects, and layouts that align with the deity or spirit you are honoring. For example, if you are building an altar to a goddess of the moon, use blue and silver elements, crescent shapes, or items that evoke the sea or nighttime.
Daily Rituals and Offerings: Engage with your digital altar regularly, much like you would with a physical one. You might set aside a specific time each day to visit your altar in the game, light digital candles, or place offerings. In the game, you could offer fruit, flowers, or crafted items as a gesture of devotion or gratitude. The act of doing so, even in a virtual space, reinforces your spiritual intention and connection.
Incorporate Sound and Movement: Animal Crossing offers various music tracks and sound effects. Choose sounds that resonate with the deity or intention of your altar. You can even create a ritual dance or movement in the game to accompany your practice. This could be as simple as performing certain actions (like clapping or cheering) or creating a sequence of movements that feel meaningful to you.
Sync Your Digital and Physical Spaces: Create a corresponding altar in your physical space, mirroring the elements in your digital game. This creates a bridge between the digital and physical realms, amplifying your magickal intent. When you interact with your digital altar, do the same in your physical space — light a real candle, place a crystal, or meditate. This practice aligns both realms, creating a powerful synergy.
Document and Reflect: Keep a digital or physical journal to document your experiences, thoughts, and any signs or synchronicities you encounter. Reflecting on these moments helps you deepen your understanding of your practice and the connections you are making through the digital altar. You could even create a dedicated scrapbook in Animal Crossing using in-game patterns or designs.
Use In-Game Events to Mark Ritual Occasions: Align your digital practices with in-game events or celestial movements. For example, you could hold a ritual or celebration at your digital altar during an in-game festival or when the full moon rises in the game’s sky. This syncs your personal practice with both the game’s internal rhythms and the larger cosmic cycles.
Engage with the Community: Share your altar and practice with others, whether it’s with friends who visit your Animal Crossing island or by sharing screenshots and experiences on social media. Engaging with a like-minded community can amplify the energy of your practice and provide new ideas and inspirations. Remember, the true power of any spiritual or magickal practice lies in the intention behind it. The digital realm, like any other, is a canvas upon which we paint our will, belief, and creativity. By treating your digital altar with the same respect and dedication as a physical one, you are reinforcing your connection to the divine and the endless possibilities of the Omniverum.

Finished my little compilation of Sav and her mobility aids! ID in alt for each.
Disclaimer that I'm able-bodied & open to criticism about my portrayal! Also I realized belatedly her rollator is parked in a way that would, in fact, not keep it from rolling the fuck around, my bad.
Further details about my design philosophy/Sav's symptoms under the cut.
I played Savtas through Consular Story Chapter 1 in Full Good Girl Mode, saving all the Jedi and using the shielding ritual whenever prompted. The side effects of the rituals are vague and inconsequential in-game so as to make the job of the writers and programmers easier; characters comment worriedly about the fact that you "look tired" and not much else.
Fortunately, I have none of these restrictions. I don't know how to scientifically quantify "life-essence", but in my canon the energy required to create and maintain the shields comes right out of the body of the shielder, and behaves first and foremost like a faster-than-sustainable burning of calories. In the short-term, Sav became dangerously malnourished and fatigued; in the long-term she developed PoTS and what I've been glibly referring to as "Force fibro" in my brain, because the symptoms she experiences are the similar to that of those who suffer from fibromyalgia in real life: chronic pain, chronic fatigue, disordered sleep, and brain fog.
Some of those physical symptoms are ameliorated via use of a mobility aid, so she's tried out a couple different types.
Rollator
Sav's mobility aid of choice, purchased somewhere at the beginning of Ch 2. Sav is prone to dizziness and fatigue, and has less difficulty walking than she does standing for long periods; the rollator helps keep her balance and gives her somewhere to sit for short spells when she needs to.
The wheels do make this device better for navigating flatter and more even ground, but I imagine she can swap the wheels out for all-terrain varieties. I wonder if you could put blades on them like ice skates, to move around on places like Hoth? Well, the brakes wouldn't work, so probably not.
As mentioned in a previous post on my other sideblog, the design and colors are meant to evoke the pillars of the old Jedi Temple on Coruscant. This model is bespoke, created to Savvy's whimsical specifications. It wasn't even that expensive; you'd be surprised how many discounts people are willing to offer a Jedi!
Chair
A gift from the Jedi Council upon her defeat of Terrak Morrhage and the subsequent quelling of the Force plague. It's a more expensive model, and comes with a sturdy stand to rest it on when it's charging or not in use.
Design inspo drawn from both canon sources and the wonderful hermitmoss' hoverchair headcanons post!
I deliberated for a while as to whether Sav would have been given a wheelchair or a hoverchair. I settled on hoverchair mostly because Sav wanted a certain level of independence in her movement, but nobody was sure how long it would take her to regain enough upper body strength to reliably push herself around in a manual chair.
Sav in this image is at the beginning of her recovery, but she does continually make use of her chair after regaining some of her weight and muscle mass. Her rollator became her device of choice over the chair in part because the chair is kind of bulky and heavy, and can't be easily collapsed for transport. She probably has a lighter, more maneuverable transport chair stored on the ship to utilize in a pinch.
Looking at the design of the chair, I am already dissatisfied with it - the seat isn't raked to keep her from sliding out of it, and the control panel should realistically be attached to an extension and not directly under her hand. We'll fix that in the next pass, I think, but for now this drawing is representative of the overall design and colors.
Cane
She's got a few of these! Most have an offset or contour grip because she finds them the most comfortable, and most have adjustable bases.
Her favorite is probably the non-adjustable wooden one she got from a craftsman on Alderaan, the only one she owns made of fully organic materials.
#bonus KOTXX-era Sav reveal in that third image!#i really like this set. wish i could draw it properly#the real boots in-game have the runes on them but i couldn't be bovvered#swtor#mirialan#star wars#star wars the old republic#jedi consular#jedi oc

Space Pirate Design Ranking
The Metroid series has a boatload of different designs, completely changing between every game except the 2D iterations. Some think it’s simple design inconsistency, others think that they’re different genetic manipulations of the same species, while others (including myself) are of the opinion that the Space Pirates are a collective made up of various species. Today, I’ll be ranking these designs based on what they convey and, simply, what I think is cool and aesthetically pleasing. For the sake of simplicity, I’ll only be ranking the standard Space Pirate variant of each game, the “core enemy type” if you will. And yes, Metroid Prime 4 Beyond is here, though its place in the ranking is subject to change as we get more closer looks.
7. Metroid Prime 2 Echoes
Some people may consider this a sin to put so low on the list but, to me, this really just doesn’t fit the whole vibe of the Space Pirates, especially in the Prime series. In the Metroid Prime saga, the Space Pirates are an authoritarian empire who recklessly abuse technological advancement for the sake of domination. This just… doesn’t say that. It’s a good design, don’t get me wrong, but this really looks like some weird skeleton knight. I could see this crawling out of some crypt to seek vengeance, not descending from a space ship to plunder. For that reason, I gotta put this guy in last place.
6th place: Metroid Prime Federation Force
For many of the problems Metroid Prime 2’s design has, I think Federation Force remedies… and then makes the opposite mistakes. Federation Force’s Space Pirate design is, canonically, around the same height as Metroid Prime’s Omega Pirate. Why make mechs for your game if you’re just gonna scale the enemies up anyway is anyone’s guess. With that in mind, I kinda like this as a heavy unit for the Space Pirates, but the center of this design just is a bit hard to look at. I love the limbs and the inclusion of the iconic Prime Pirate energy blade. There’s a mix of fleshy joints and tough, metal plating that I enjoy, I actually like the bright red eyes as well, especially for a heavy unit. But the carapace around it just feels… it’s kinda hard to look at. That mouth, as well, is just a bit too buggy and lacks expressiveness. Really, that’s my edict on this thing. Good extremities, but lacks expression and is generally tough to look at. Still, I imagine someone could retool/retexture this thing to be a real banger of a design.
5th place: Metroid Other M
From here on, these designs are ones I truly like as Space Pirates. Metroid Other M’s Space Pirate design was a tough one to find a good image of. This was about the best one I could find in a cursory search. As far as official designs go, I think this is the best translation of the iconic Zebesian Space Pirate to 3D we’ve ever gotten. There was a small effort made in Prime 2 to bring the claws back, but here there are on full display and they look great. The whole design is, honestly, fantastic. You can see the smooth bands around the limbs and torso, downward pointed jaw, and the big, smooth, blank eyes of the old sprite. The spines on the back and head really add some personal flare to these guys as well, and the whole design has a delightfully cheesy color scheme that I simply adore. I think the series has designs that evoke certain feelings and themes better, but this is certainly a fun looking guy.
4th place: Metroid Prime 3 Corruption
Unlike every other type but the Zebesians, the Space Pirates of Corruption have a distinct name based on the Homeworld we explore, Urtraghians. There is a distinctly pseudo organic bend to these guys, with the textures on the armor plating feeling almost Xenomorphic. However, where I think this design stands out is, of course, the head. The long, pointed teeth clearly visible under the rows of eyes really makes this eel-like head intimidating. You can really imagine the Urtraghians descending from their ships in a city, gunning down innocents and plundering whatever they choose. These animalistic terrors will smell where you’re hiding and drag you out kicking and screaming. It really fits the Space Pirates’ role in the story. From day one, they really have just been a bogeyman for the Federation. We rarely actually see them doing… ya know… pirating. The rampant technological obsession was a concept introduced by the Prime trilogy. As a design for the Bogeyman of the Galaxy, I think the Urtraghians work great.
3. Metroid Prime 4 Beyond
Haha, 3 is for 4 and 4 is for 3. This will be subject to change and many people might not rank them until we get clearer images, but uh… I’m doin it. Beyond’s pirates have a very buggy design, but in a way that’s parallel, not identical, to the Zebesian designs from the 2d games. Their mouth is split into mandibles, they have a hard carapace, and their movements can be jittery and unsettling. The large size of them compared to the Federation personnel seen in the trailer really evokes power and control. Their armor has outward pointed edges and defined pectorals. These are conquerors, proud, undefeatable warriors. The sparseness of it also evokes a sense of confidence, as if they don’t need a full covering when their hardened shell is so superior to weak flesh. It’s almost ornamental in a way. (Though someone should remind them they lost in every previous fight against Samus). Their mandibular maws, hunched backs, double thumbed hands, and digitigrade stance (standing on their toes with their heels off the ground) also evokes a certain other core enemy type in a sci fi shooter.
I’m going to leave it here for now as I have some other stuff to get to at the moment and I Forgor the image limit on Tumblr posts. I’ll get the ranking for the final (first?) two designs by the end of today. Then, I might make a post about what roles I’d fit these different species into for my own storytelling purposes.

RED AS HIS HEART YANG JUNGWON
Summary: Jungwon, the owner of a flower shop, is deeply smitten with a regular customer who shows a profound appreciation for his flowers and stories, you. Over time, Jungwon grows fond of you, often reserving unique blooms for your visits. Just as he plans to confess his feelings, Jungwon discovers the truth.
Pairing: Florist!Jungwon X Female!Reader
Genre: Slight of fluff, angst
Warning: None
Word count: 1.808 words
For Jungwon, you’re not only a regular customer of his flower shop. You were actually his favorite customer. Hell, you’re even his favorite person. Ever since you came to his shop four months ago, he noticed a distinct change in his mood whenever you walked through the door. Your presence brought a warmth and brightness that lingered long after you left the shop. He was captivated by your appreciation for the intangibles of each flower and your genuine curiosity about his stories.
Jungwon began to look forward to your visit, not only as a means of conducting business but also as an opportunity to get closer to you. He started setting aside unique and rare flowers, saving them specifically for when you came in, knowing you would appreciate their beauty and symbolism. An unexpected yet cherished friendship was formed due to your shared passion for flowers.
With each interaction, he discovered your personality that drew him in further—your friendliness, your generosity, your admiration for the simple things in life, and the interest you showed in his work. Jungwon often found himself arranging flowers with you in mind, using his imagination to evoke a range of emotions every time you encountered one of his masterpieces. You were his muse.
Today, he was planning to confess his feelings to you, eagerly waiting for your arrival at his shop. Usually, you would arrive promptly at three o’clock. He was staring at the clock that was hanging on the wall, counting every second by second.
Three, two, one!
The sound of the bell ringing filled his ears as you opened the door. “Jungwon!” You greeted him with your usual smile and radiant energy, which always brightened his day. He waved his hand slightly. “Good afternoon, (Name)!” Jungwon responded, his voice carrying a hint of excitement he couldn’t hide.
You took a moment to breathe in the fragrant air, glancing around to admire the colorful array of blooms. “You always have such a captivating selection. Anything new today?” Jungwon chuckled softly. “I’ve got some new orchids. Thought you might appreciate their intricate patterns. How’s your day been going?” You pondered thoughtfully as you tilted your head. “Busy with college, but seeing these flowers and chatting with you makes it all better! Tell me more about those orchids, please,” you said.
Jungwon guided you to a corner filled with orchids in various hues with a gentle gesture. “These are special, their patterns almost tell a story. I remember you mentioning once how you loved flowers with a history.” Your eyes lit up with curiosity as you leaned in to examine them closer. “You remembered! You have a good memory, Jungwon.” Your compliment made him smile warmly; he felt a rush of warmth at your compliment. “Only because I have customers like you who appreciate the beauty and stories.”
“These orchids do have a certain allure,” you admitted, your fingers lightly grazing the petals. “But I’ve also been curious about those yellow roses by the window. They seem to shimmer differently.” You turned your head where the yellow roses were placed. Jungwon followed your gaze, a knowing smile forming on his lips. “Ah, you have a keen eye, those roses are a variety known for their unique shimmer. It’s said that they capture the sunlight in a way that few other flowers can.”
You were enchanted, stepping closer to get a better look. “It’s as if they hold a piece of the sun within them,” you murmured, hypnotized by their radiant glow. “They’re unlike any roses I’ve ever seen.” Jungwon nodded. He was pleased by your reaction to the flower. Your words, spoken softly in awe, seemed to echo the sentiments he himself felt every time he looked upon them. It was magical to see another person appreciate the intricate details and profound beauty of nature as much as he did.
“The yellow rose,” he paused momentarily, making you look at him. “Is often associated with feelings of joy, friendship, and new beginnings. Its radiant coloration not only symbolizes happiness but also represents the warmth and positive energy one can bring into another’s life.” While he explained the meaning of the flower, your eyes were set on him, watching him closely as you slowly smiled.
“In addition,” Jungwon added with a soft smile, “Yellow roses can also convey a sense of appreciation and platonic love. They’re a beautiful way to express gratitude or to simply brighten someone’s day with a gesture of kindness.” He seemed to speak with such depth and emotion, making the flowers come alive with stories and symbolism. Your eyes met his, a newfound understanding dawning. “It’s fascinating how a flower can hold so much meaning and emotion,” you mused, clearly touched by the sentiment behind the blooms.
“You truly have an exquisite collection.” His cheeks warmed at your praise as he looked away shyly. He scratched the back of his neck, chuckling nervously. “Thank you.” When Jungwon met your appreciative gaze once more, he felt a mixture of emotions swirling within him. Your genuine compliment wasn’t just about the flowers. It touched upon the passion, dedication, and countless hours he had poured into curating the perfect collection for his customers.
The slight warmth in his cheeks intensified, a rosy hue mirroring the petals surrounding you both. Jungwon's heart started to beat more noticeably in contrast to the shop's background noise, which was usually calm, due to the budding connection and depth of your interaction. He felt a wave of vulnerability under his skin as he realized how much he valued your opinion. It wasn’t every day that someone truly recognized and praised the nuances of his work, and coming from you, it held particular significance.
“Oh, by the way, Jungwon. Can I get the usual?” A smile tugged at the corners of Jungwon’s lips, a hint of warmth evident in his eyes. “Coming right up,” he replied, moving gracefully to a familiar section of the shop where he meticulously prepared your preferred arrangement. Tuberose is the flower you often bought, and Jungwon knew that you bought it for your grandmother. As he began gathering the blooms, his hands moved with practiced ease, selecting each flower with care and attention to detail.
“Jungwon,” you called him with your soft voice, walking closer towards the counter and resting your hands above it. “Do you have any red carnations?” A subtle intrigue flashed across Jungwon’s eyes at your request. He observed how your fingers lightly grazed the countertop and sensed a deeper sentiment behind your inquiry. “Yes, I do,” he replied, his tone imbued with curiosity. “Great! I want those red carnations too!” you requested, clapping your hands in delight.
“Of course,” he said, offering a warm yet probing smile. Jungwon carefully gathered a fresh bundle of red carnations, their vibrant petals capturing the essence of passion and emotion. As he placed them gently beside the other item you had selected, he asked, “Red carnations are quite meaningful. Is there a special occasion for these red carnations?” He was trying not to look too curious, but he really wanted to know. What occasion are these carnations for? Who are these red carnations for?
“It’s for a birthday surprise.” You touched the petals of its flower, feeling the soft and delicate texture on your fingers. “Today is my boyfriend's birthday.” He could almost feel his heart stopping. Did he just hear correctly? Jungwon froze in place, the weight of your words settling heavily upon him. A surreal silence seemed to envelop the shop, every sound muted as your statement resonated within him. His heart, which moments ago beat steadily, now echoed a different rhythm, one of disbelief and quiet sorrow.
“He said he loves red carnations, so I want to surprise him with it.” Jungwon forced a smile and met your eyes with a slight change of his expression, his eyes searching for any sign of humor, hoping you were joking. “That’s really thoughtful of you,” he said, but there was a hint of hurt in his voice. Inside, a wave of emotions overwhelmed him, but on the outside, he continued to be the same for all these months. “Red carnations for my loved ones.” You chuckled at your own words.
Jungwon felt his stomach sink as the realization hit him that you were actually being serious. The two of you had been friends for months, but he had always hoped your relationship was more than that. Each memory of shared laughter, every lingering conversation, and the countless moments of mutual understanding played back in his mind. He had often found himself lost in thoughts, imagining scenarios where your friendship blossomed into something deeper, something more meaningful.
So what would he do now? Should he keep confess how he really feels about you? Would it ruin the friendship between the two of you? He couldn't stand the thought of losing you, so what course of action should he take?
“How much is everything?” Jungwon snapped back to reality, cleared his throat, and started counting the prices. “It would be ₩105.” You gave him the precise amount of cash. He took the money from you, quickly placing it in the register.
Taking a deep breath, Jungwon straightened, attempting to push aside the sudden surge of emotions. “I hope he appreciates the gesture,” he said softly, his voice carrying a hint of wistfulness. “Red carnations is a meaningful choice.” You couldn’t help but smile sweetly at him. “Thank you so much, Jungwon,” you said as you took the bouquets in your arms. “I’ll see you on Thursday, bye!”
You were unaware of the whirlwind of emotions you had stirred within him. Jungwon watched you leave the shop, silently grappling with the unspoken emotions that now lingered in the air. As the door’s soft chime faded, leaving behind a long silence, Jungwon felt a weight settle on his chest. The barrage of suppressed emotions, hopes, and regrets finally reached a breaking point. His eyes, once clear and welcoming, now glistened with unshed tears.
The bright array of flowers that surrounded him, usually a source of comfort, now faded into a kaleidoscope of memories. The once-soothing aroma of the flowers now seemed almost suffocating, each scent evoking a different memory or emotion that Jungwon had kept hidden. The delicate petals he always cherished now seemed to hold secrets and silent conversations, whispering stories of missed opportunities and silent wishes.
THE LANGUAGE OF FLOWERS
Red carnations contain several symbols: love, affection, and adoration.
The most common association with red carnations is love, especially deep love and affection. It can also be given as a romantic sign of love or to express strong feelings towards someone. Apart from romantic love, red carnations are also a symbol of admiration, making them an appropriate choice to pay homage to someone you deeply respect or admire.

The Meaning of the Flower Moon
The Flower Moon is a gentle, placid astrological event that occurs at the height of spring. It reflects the season’s bright blossoms and unique opportunities for growth.
The May Full Moon has other names, as well. Across the world, it is sometimes called the Milk Moon, the Dancing Moon, the Planting Moon, and the Budding Moon, monikers that emphasize the season’s bounteous nature.
The Effects and Spiritual Meaning of the Flower Moon
The Flower Moon represents spring’s strength, vitality, and beauty. The radiance of this lunar phase is further emphasized by the sheer diversity of color and form that can be found in the season’s flowers and the sun’s golden warmth.
This Full Moon asks people to match the season’s abundance by sharing with others, pursuing their creative interests, and celebrating life. Spiritually speaking, this is a great time to relish the vibrant energy of rebirth that is so commonly associated with spring.
It is also a time to reach out to your community and form new connections. The Full Flower Moon challenges you to break barriers and explore what, if anything, may be stopping you from fully manifesting your dreams. Use this opportunity to seek spiritual fulfillment!
How To Use the Flower Moon
As you work with and reflect on the Flower Moon’s energy, certain instincts and ideas may come to you. That’s a great place to start! Be creative, and explore any thoughts that come your way, especially during ritual, meditation, or conversation.
That said, there are some ways to honor the Full Flower Moon that many people find helpful.
For instance, you can make a list of your favorite flowers. Then, go through it and really reflect on what their different energies mean to you. You can enhance this process by decorating your home or workspace with flowers as well.
You can also consciously set your intentions in the lead-up to the Flower Moon. Think about abundance. What does it mean to you? It doesn’t necessarily have to be about money. Perhaps an increase in laughter or personal time is what you’re looking for, or maybe you want to enjoy your loved ones’ company more often. Whatever you want, reflect on how you can invite it into your life. Do you need to release anything first?
Finally, consider taking a tip from nature and working with color. Look at the flowers around you and observe their variations in hue. Tap into how each shade evokes a different emotion. Select several that you’d like to emphasize in your personal surroundings. Work on bringing in artwork, linens, knick-knacks, and paints to create color themes you enjoy.
The Full Flower Moon in 2024
This year, the Full Flower Moon will occur on May 21 in the fire sign of Sagittarius. While anyone can use the Flower Moon’s powerful energy, those with prominent Sagittarius placements may find this time especially fruitful.
Abundant, generous Jupiter rules Sagittarius. Additionally, this sign is thought to be idealistic and forward-thinking. As such, this influence also encourages people to be open to change and to follow their instincts, interests, and dreams.
The Flower Moon will arrive on May 23, 2024 at 9:53 p.m. The Flower Moon Talon Abraxas

i had a dream last night revolving around Achilles and patroclus and a detail i noticed was patroclus was outlined in blue light while achillies was outlined in yellow light.
I found this VERY interesting because blue can symbolize several different things:
Serenity
Blue can be a calming color that symbolizes tranquility, peace, and serenity. It can also represent stability, inspiration, and wisdom. In fact, primary blue is often used in therapeutic settings to help people relax and unwind
Trust
Blue can symbolize trust, loyalty, and sincerity. It can also represent confidence and authority that is noninvasive and objective.
Sadness
Blue can also represent sadness and depression, as in the expression "they have the blues".
All of these things are things that are part of his character or effects he had on Achilles!!
As for the yellow surrounding Achilles:
Positive
Yellow is often associated with the sun, and can symbolize happiness, warmth, sunshine, positivity, energy, and optimism. It can also represent joyfulness, hope, confidence, dignity, and light-heartedness. Yellow can also be energizing and motivating, and may help improve concentration by stimulating the brain and nervous system. In design, yellow can be used to evoke feelings of passion, enthusiasm, and happiness.
Negative
Yellow can also have negative connotations, such as caution, cowardice, deceit, and jealousy. In certain shades, yellow can also be irritating.
These things are like the two sides of achilles, the postive being more prominent when patroclus was alive and the negative being more prominent when he died.
I think it’s very beautiful and the dream itself had a beautiful story that i can get into it yall would like : )

Honoring ancestors through ritual and gratitude 🪞🌛
As Halloween approaches and the air becomes infused with a certain mystical energy, many believe that the veil between our world and the spirit realm grows thin. It is during this enchanting time that we are drawn to honor our ancestors, those who came before us and whose wisdom still whispers through the ages. Crafting a Tarot altar for our ancestors is a powerful way to connect with and pay tribute to those who have paved the way for our existence. In this post, we will embark on a journey into the sacred art of creating a Tarot altar dedicated to our forebears, a place where their presence can be felt, their guidance sought, and their memory cherished. So, let's delve into the mystical realms of Tarot and ancestry, and discover how to craft an altar that bridges the gap between the living and the dearly departed. 🌌 🪄
Incorporating ritual into ancestral work not only deepens the connection but also provides a tangible way to express your gratitude. This practice is akin to setting a special table for beloved guests, acknowledging their presence and the profound impact they continue to have on your life. Here are some ways to approach this sacred work:
Creating an Ancestral Altar: This act involves selecting a dedicated space, be it a corner of your home or a specific piece of furniture, to honor your ancestors. Adorn it with items that hold meaning, such as photographs, heirlooms, or objects that evoke their memory. This becomes a focal point for your ancestral practice, a place where you can come to commune with their energy.
Lighting the Way with Candles: Lighting candles holds deep symbolic significance in many cultures. The flame acts as a beacon, illuminating the path for your ancestors to join you in your sacred space. Consider using colors that resonate with ancestral energy, such as white for purity, red for vitality, or black for spiritual insight.
Offerings of Love and Remembrance: Providing offerings is a poignant way to express your gratitude. This could be their favorite food or drink, or even items that held special meaning for them in life. It’s a tangible act of remembrance, demonstrating your respect and love for the legacy they’ve passed down.
Engaging in Meditation and Reflection: Set aside time for quiet contemplation. Close your eyes, breathe deeply, and allow your mind to journey back through the annals of your family history. Visualize the faces of your ancestors, feel their presence, and let any messages or insights come to you naturally.
Sacred Sound and Song: Music and chanting have the power to transcend the physical realm and reach deep into the spiritual. Consider incorporating ancestral songs or chants into your ritual. This resonant energy can serve as a bridge, connecting you to the wisdom and experiences of those who came before.

Dragon Booster Notes: Colors
a lot of DB fans I've talked to think that DB has way too many Draconium colors, and I'm inclined to agree, lmao. so here's my take on a more condensed version of the Draconium color wheel!
I've had to rearrange and heavily revamp certain colors and basic lore (such as Gold, which I'll get to), but I think I like what I've done with the place~ I've also changed the names of most of the crews because we seriously need less "dragon" in names, everyone's starting to sound like Troll Will Smith. like, we get it, this show is abt dragons, lmao
I'm also aware that some of the more specific colors were meant to evoke certain types of vehicles/machinery (like white = planes, and brown = construction vehicles), but that reference is somewhat lost in my take. my hope is that secondary colors in dragon palettes could better evoke that machinery, but I may need to chew on it more. I do genuinely like the dragons = cars schtick and think it's fun to play with in terms of colors/design, so I don't want to go TOO hard on my own lore and lose that silly aspect, haha
and be aware that I haven't changed my other DB notes to reflect these colors since I'm not fully settled yet. I may wait for more feedback to see what other fans think of this take
anyways, "narrator voice" begins under the cut:
Base Colors
the Racing Association recognizes the following seven colors as the standard, core colors of Draconium. however, there is continued debate over these classifications, considering the fluid, gradient nature of Draconium. the concept of sub-classes has gained momentum in some circles, and several racing teams operate under the idea of these sub-classes, though these sub-classes are not officially recognized. common sub-class signifiers include "dark/light", "white/black", or mixed/specific color names such as "turquoise" or "mahogany".
also note that Draconium influences the integument, temperament, and energy of a developing dragon on a situational basis rather than an evolutionary basis. Draconium colors do not constitute evolutionary lineages, but are instead influenced by direct parentage and environmental influences during a dragon's development within the egg. additionally, while most organisms exhibit a "dominating" color type, all organisms exhibit some mix of colors. "pure"-color dragons are rare, and often exhibit health disorders due to the lack of balancing influence from other colors.
Red:
common temperament: passionate, competitive, loyal, flashy. these dragons thrive as the center of attention, and are eager to compete to prove their place. though this makes Red dragons excellent competitors, they are prone to show-boating and losing sight of their goal. adequate attention and praise from their riders will solidify a Red dragon's confidence and prevent overcompensation.
physical traits: Red dragons often develop more decorative cartilage fins and "flare" for show.
class percentages: Raptors: 30%; Canids: 30%; Felids: 25%; Bulls: 15%
known crews: Red Flares
((replaces: Red))
Orange:
common temperament: clever, inquisitive, stubborn, cautious. these dragons are considered the most intelligent of their kind, but also the most dangerous for that exact reason. they are quick to solve puzzles and avoid obstacles, quickly developing strategies for escape and success, outwitting even their riders. despite their potential as racers, very few Orange dragons will even cooperate with humans, much less compete on the track.
physical traits: many Orange dragons exhibit peculiar changes to the visual structure of the skull and surrounding integument/musculature, leaving the brain and Muffler visible. this does not seem to affect skull durability, but sparse research has yet to confirm. Orange dragons also seem to have a higher aptitude for telepathy than most modern dragons.
class percentages: Raptors: 85%; Canids: 4%; Felids: 7%; Bulls: 4%. this particular color skews heavily Raptor, but this may be due to historical/social influences rather than an innate aspect of this Color.
known crews: The Prophets ((and Keepers ("dark" Orange) but few know of them))
WARNING: most Orange dragons have defected from human society, and the dragon-led "Prophet" crew has been named a top terrorist organization by Dragon City Police. exercise extreme caution in areas you suspect Prophets or other Orange dragons may roam.
((replaces: Orange, Light Green. I almost put Light Green in Yellow instead, but then I thought abt the tension of two wildly different crews representing the same "dangerous" Orange color. maybe Prophets see Keepers as pathetic, living off of the little scraps of human society and meekly refusing to demand more. and maybe Keepers hate how they're associated with the "dangerous" Prophets just bc they're Orange too, painting a similar "terrorist" target on their backs. I think there could be an interesting conversation here abt the ideas of acceptance vs assimilation, and the cost of survival under the will of human society...))
Yellow:
common temperament: skittish, flighty, curious, adaptable, energetic. these dragons have a high well of energy perfectly suited for racing, but are often distracted and startled by the unexpected. a gentle, guiding hand can keep these dragons focused and on-track.
physical traits: Yellow dragons usually develop fins along their sides and tails to aid in gliding. these fins are usually cartilaginous, though some may develop bone-like spines and tendon attachments to further control fin shape. these dragons also tend to be smaller than dragons of other colors, but this is not a universal trait.
class percentages: Raptors: 50%; Canids: 25%; Felids: 20%; Bulls: 5%. Raptors adapt best to the flighted aspects of Yellow, while Bulls struggle to maintain their energy or properly utilize their fins.
known crews: Windstorm ("white" Yellow)
((replaces: White, Turquoise? we don't know much abt Turquoise...))
Green:
common temperament: steady, stubborn, focused, loyal. though Green dragons are not the quickest to start a race or make a decision, you can trust that they will dedicate their entire focus to their goal. their patient determination can carry riders through any obstacle, especially once a rider has a gained their loyalty.
physical traits: Green dragons tend to develop thicker hides/plates, and heavier musculature.
class percentages: Raptors: 3%; Canids: 10%; Felids: 7%; Bulls: 80%. due to the "heavy" nature of Green, this color skews heavily Bull. the delicate structure of a Raptor struggles most to handle the added weight that Green can induce in the body, though some Raptor breeders have been working to address this.
known crews: Will of the Dragon ((combining crews as well. I think it would be interesting if Kawake was the former head of the Will of the Dragon, and Fistus admires him and maybe feels guilty for taking over his role? maybe he tries to convince Kawake to come back after his recovery. idk, I need more interesting character dynamics))
((replaces: Green, Brown))
Blue:
common temperament: easy-going, adaptable, playful, sociable. Blue dragons love the thrill of a race more than competition, prone to nipping playfully at other dragons or skipping about on the track in their excitement. they may need a reminder and extra incentive to keep their focus on the race rather than play.
physical traits: Blue dragons usually develop fins along their tails, spines, and legs to aid in swimming. much like Yellow dragons, these fins are usually cartilaginous, though some may develop bone-like spines and tendon attachments to further control fin shape.
class percentages: Raptors: 10%; Canids: 40%; Felids: 40%; Bulls: 10%. though Bulls and Raptors struggle with the swimming-oriented aspects of this color, they otherwise seem to adapt fine, despite their low numbers.
known crews: The Inner Order, Nautilus ("light" Blue)
((replaces: Blue, Light Blue))
Purple:
common temperament: sociable, loyal, attentive, focused, cautious. one of the most sociable types of dragons, Purple dragons quickly pack-bond with any humans and dragons they spend extended time with. though a boon for solidifying connections within crews, this can also spell trouble outside of the crew, as Purple dragons are deeply suspicious of strangers. it takes a solid connection and stable environment to make sure a Purple dragon's healthy caution doesn't develop into outright hostility and tunnel-vision.
physical traits: Purple dragons often develop more exaggerated heat pits and larger audial fins.
class percentages: Raptors: 35%; Canids: 40%; Felids: 5%; Bulls: 20%. Felids are less adaptable to the "tracking" aspects of this color than other classes.
known crews: Huntsmen
((replaces: Purple. I'm going back and forth on whether I should just combine Black and Purple together? but I think they exhibit enough unique 'personality' traits that they prolly ought to be separate..))
Magenta:
common temperament: independent, stubborn, curious, clever. these dragons take a long time to warm up to their riders, and are often considered "aloof" by racers of other colors. but once their trust is gained, they quickly open up to their riders, showing a much more affectionate, playful personality than initially expected. even then, riders must keep a close eye on their own dragons to make sure they haven't wandered off into trouble on their own.
physical traits: ((tbh I can't think of any for this one. help))
class percentages: Raptors: 20%; Canids: 10%; Felids: 50%; Bulls: 20%.
known crews: Snake Eyes ("black" Magenta) ((idk if snakes still exist but I'm just going to say they do for now))
((replaces: Black. I just think "Black" is a silly color for a color wheel tbh, and it feels a little too on-the-nose for the "evil" group, y'know? also, let's be honest, most Black dragons have purple/magenta as secondary colors, so it feels appropriate.))
Special Cases
these cases of dragon and Draconium development are beyond the scope of typical racing, exhibiting unique and highly-specific traits compared to other color groupings.
Prismatic Dragons:
Prismatic dragons do not exhibit a single, dominating color of Draconium, but rather the intersection of all colors. thus, these dragons function as prisms-- able to refract different Draconium colors at will.
historically, Prismatic dragons were much more common, as Draconium naturally blends and merges across the spectrum, and organisms gather mixed collections of Draconium from their surrounding environments. it is only in the modern day that we rarely see Prismatic dragons emerge, and indeed have yet to see one for many years...
known crews: none ((that the Association knows of, at least~))
((I really want Yellow to be one of the main colors, and Gold doesn't feel as 'neutral' as I think it ought to be, so... *jazz hands*. on the one hand, I'm remiss to nix Beau's iconic black/gold color palette... on the other hand, what if the originally "gold" sections on his body changed colors to reflect whatever Draconium color he focused on, and simply shimmered a metallic silver otherwise? that sounds cool))
Grey Dragons:
Grey dragons exhibit a bizarrely neutral form of Draconium. however, unlike Prismatic, this is not due to a prism effect, but due to the lack of distinct color itself-- Draconium in its purest, most uninfluenced form.
Grey is even less understood than Prismatic. we know that no living dragon is Grey, only reanimated corpses. we do not know how these corpses reanimate, nor why it so rarely occurs.
some have suggested that, once a Prismatic dragon dies and the color of mixed Draconium drains from their body, they are truly Grey underneath, and are reanimated to continue some unspecified duty. this is impossible to verify, given the rarity of Prismatic and Grey dragons, but it is certainly an interesting theory.
perhaps it is simply the nature of life, that even Draconium must strike a balance-- that for all that there is light, that there must also be an absence. for all that there is life, that there must be death. perhaps this is too poetic a notion for an academic journal, but we have few other hypotheses to consider.

Magic Thoughts
All my magic theories come from the idea of EXP being a source of real magic in the game. All creatures can release it by death and obtain it by doing various tasks. The basis of my ideas is RetroGamingNow's theory, but I'll expand into what is different about it in my ideas and how it presents itself in my canon.
First of all, I believe every creature has some level of magic in them, Skeletons and Zombies are bought to life via some external source of magic, and things like the moon, books, mushrooms and enchanting tables are magic by default. I feel that external source of magic is given to every creature, every being that is alive has some sort of baseline magic to keep them out and about. This is particularly evident in undead mobs that certainly aren't meant to be alive. As well as slimes that don't seem to exist unless certain criteria are met.
I also believe every dimension has it's own version of magic, though they can intertwine and be used in tandem with others/in place of others. Some are more powerful, like the magic that is at work in The End dimension compared to those that happen in the Nether.
Either way, I'll continue on with magic in the sense of it being used and what that looks like.
Magic in my world is very much physical and some kind of spiritual/mental connection.
Physical would refer to potions and enchantments that effect items or how they behave. These are things like Fortune, Looting, Silk Touch, Fire Aspect, etc. etc. Things that have a physical effect on an object or creature. This also blends into portals and their magic qualities brought about by physical items and tools. Physical requirements.
Mental magic can do many of the same things, though it requires much more skill and work to achieve, even then, if you're not very good at it, it'll only ever be as decent as maybe a potion or enchantment.
In my world, magic like this is shown through Evokers mostly, as they can summon and enchant things with their bare hands. I imagine some witches can do this, along with other Illagers like Illusioners and Iceologers. Iceologers would fit into one of the many uses of this kind of magic which is the use of any kind of telekinetic power. Pyrokinesis, Hydrokinesis and many more. This type of magic is channeled through the use of these circles/sigils that are unique to the user. The color doesn't really matter, they tend to correspond to different species, though this is a generalization. Most witches have purples/pinks, most Evokers have blues/greens and most Iceologers have light blues or whites (they all can have any color though, again, a generalization). What really matter is how detailed the sigils are, this shows the mastery of the user.
Here are a few characters of mine's sigils :0)
Dionysus is one of the strongest magic users in my world, her sigil is made of sharp spikes, stars and even an eye. It glows fairly strong, and the lines are complete and straight. Lots of details and lines lots of small bits n stuff!! This shows how proficient she is in her magic use. Next is General Midnight! Having so few magic abilities allows him to be very skilled in them, this gives him a sigil with many details but he doesn't know nearly as much as Dio, thus, he does not have as intricate as a sigil as her :0). Lastly is Leif, my Evoker, he doesn't have much skill, but knows the basics of a few couple spells as all Evokers do!!! Simple and clean very smooth lines, doesn't glow too much but it's noticeable.
This is a good example of how these sigils appear as they channel their powers through them!!! This is Dionysus, using a spell though her little sigil. Magic has an effect on those who use it as well, often affecting a certain part of them!!! This is why Midnight has such sharp teeth and why Dio has altered eyes!! :0))
I should mention, sigil based magic can do everything potions can, but it takes a lot more time and energy. The more powerful a spell is or difficult it is for the user, the more energy it takes out of them physically. Too much magic use or difficult spells over a long amount of time can cause the user to feel sickly, gain a fever, pass out/faint, or even die of exhaustion, though that is rare.
Onto countering magic!!! I believe that milk has special properties that can erase status effects, though I do not think it can take away or dampen a users magic ability!!! Magic is much more complex than it being dissolved by milk. Though, for things that are part of a creatures physical anatomy, milk can be used to nullify effects for a short amount of time (this applies to poison from cave spiders, wither effect from Wither Skeletons, etc. this does not apply to fire-like mobs as any liquid would just put them out anyways and hurt them so ya know)
I do believe using a status effect on a magic user is a good way of disabling their spells!! They would have to take sometime and heal themselves before casting another attack spell, and hurting them can cause their spells to be weaker as they have less energy to spend on fighting rather than healing. Most potent being lingering effects brought on from lingering potions or Poison and strongest, Withering. I do believe mushrooms seem to have a very natural magic property to them, and I think those are some of the best foods you could eat as a magic user if you ever wanted to get a lil extra boost, as well as any golden food items.
This is all subject to change and develop, but this is what I have for now :0) (Rose, Dionysus and Leif introduction posts are in the making btw)

Chookily's Guide to complimenting art
Introduction
While it is a kind gesture to extend positive input to an artist I would never want anyone to turn positive input into a job. For the most part it's supposed to be fun!!! We should all learn to try not to take it personally if no one compliments our art every now and then there are various reasons why people may not compliment! They could be occupied, they may not know what to say, or it's simply not their personal taste. Remember for the majority it can be challenging to say something beyond "this looks cool!" and some people may even feel self conscious of what to them seems like a lowsy compliment. What's important is to learn to be confident of our own art. As an independent artist I face this dilemma multiple times and i've learnt how to reassure myself and be confident of my own abilities. Don't rely on others solely for positive reinforcement as you're only setting yourself for failure. This is also just a general reminder that you don't need to go to into full detail about artwork. Sometimes giving your general support through a reaction or just saying "This looks cool!" is enough and you should never be afraid to voice your support
Why is it important to compliment art? Other than the rudimentary and obvious reason there is a genuine skill you can train and apply in your own artwork when you compliment artwork. By complimenting artwork you are training yourself to discern and separate specific aspects of a art piece in order to determine the strengths of an artist. THEREFORE you are using critical thinking skills that help with eye training improved vocabulary and a better general grasp of art. (Plus you make the person feel very happy :>>>>) The Basics Don't focus on the bigger picture!
When it comes to analyzing artwork the least thing you want to do is focus too much on the grand scheme of the photo. Unless you're complimenting the certain atmosphere setting how convincing it is and other technical artistic merits it's best to focus on smaller things. Look at the linework look at the color palette or the brushworks or the effects what do you appreciate most about the art piece what do you find most unique and noteable? Once you point these out it can be very easy to give a compliment! Study technical artwork terms and techniques! The best way to learn to compliment art is to immerse yourself and absorb information. Learn the basic terminologies and techniques for art do your homework! Make the criticism personally catered to the artist! What patterns have you noticed in the artist's work? Try to point out the artist's best abilities and their strengths! Let them know what they are best at!! Focus on the mood/atmosphere of the artpiece what emotion does a certain art piece evoke? what does it make you think or feel? Art is a creative exchange of ideas and stories and in doing so you feed that creative energy!
Ask questions about the art piece
Engage yourself with the art piece to familiarize yourself it makes the artist feel special!
Conclusion This is my basic tutorial on how to compliment art, if you have any other advice feel free to share. Otherwise, thank you for reading!

Exploring the Power of Colour Therapy: Healing Through Hues Shaina Tranquilino April 18, 2024
In a world where stress and anxiety seem to lurk around every corner, the search for holistic and alternative therapies has become increasingly popular. Among these, colour therapy stands out as a vibrant and intriguing approach to healing. Harnessing the power of colours to promote physical, emotional, and mental well-being, colour therapy offers a fascinating journey into the realm of chromatic healing.
Understanding Colour Therapy
Colour therapy, also known as chromotherapy or light therapy, is based on the principle that different colours evoke distinct emotional and physiological responses in individuals. Advocates of this therapy believe that exposure to specific colours can help balance energy levels within the body, thereby promoting health and harmony.
The Healing Power of Colours
Each colour is associated with unique properties and effects on the human psyche:
Red: Known for its stimulating properties, red is believed to increase energy levels and boost circulation. It's often used to combat fatigue and revitalize the body.
Orange: Symbolizing warmth and creativity, orange is thought to promote enthusiasm and emotional balance. It can be used to uplift spirits and foster a sense of optimism.
Yellow: Associated with joy and mental clarity, yellow is believed to stimulate the intellect and enhance concentration. It's often used to alleviate feelings of depression and promote mental alertness.
Green: Representing harmony and balance, green is said to have a calming effect on the body and mind. It's commonly used to reduce stress and promote relaxation.
Blue: Known for its calming and cooling properties, blue is believed to lower blood pressure and promote tranquility. It's often used to alleviate insomnia and promote a sense of serenity.
Indigo: Symbolizing intuition and spiritual awareness, indigo is thought to enhance intuition and promote deep relaxation. It's commonly used in meditation practices to facilitate inner exploration.
Violet: Associated with spiritual enlightenment and creativity, violet is believed to stimulate the imagination and foster a sense of inspiration. It's often used to encourage self-expression and spiritual growth.
Incorporating Colour Therapy Into Your Life
There are various ways to integrate colour therapy into your daily routine:
Surround Yourself with Colours: Choose clothing, décor, and accessories in colors that resonate with you and align with your desired intentions. Surrounding yourself with these hues can have a subtle yet profound impact on your mood and energy levels.
Colour Visualization: Practice colour visualization exercises, where you imagine yourself immersed in a specific colour that corresponds to your current needs. Visualizing these colours can help restore balance and promote inner harmony.
Light Therapy: Consider investing in light therapy lamps or devices that emit specific colours to target various health concerns. These devices are designed to simulate natural sunlight and can be particularly beneficial during the darker months or for those experiencing seasonal affective disorder (SAD).
Colour Meditation: Incorporate colour meditation into your mindfulness practice by focusing your attention on a specific colour and allowing its energy to flow through you. This can help clear blockages and promote a sense of clarity and renewal.
The Science Behind Colour Therapy
While colour therapy is often regarded as a complementary or alternative healing modality, there is growing interest in its scientific basis. Research suggests that colours can indeed influence physiological processes, such as heart rate, blood pressure, and hormone levels. Additionally, studies have shown that exposure to certain colours can affect mood and cognitive performance, further supporting the therapeutic potential of colour therapy.
Colour therapy offers a captivating approach to holistic healing, harnessing the innate power of colours to promote balance and well-being. Whether used independently or in conjunction with other therapeutic modalities, the vibrational energy of colours has the potential to uplift the spirit, soothe the soul, and restore harmony to the body and mind. As we continue to explore the intersections between science and spirituality, colour therapy remains a radiant beacon of hope and healing in our quest for holistic wellness.

Abaddon in Demonolatry
Names: Abaddon, Apollyon
Syncretic or Semi-Syncretic Associations: Amdusias, Apollo(n), Asmodeus, Satan
Honorific Title: Prince, Lord
Hebrew Gematria: 63 (אֲבַדּוֹן)
English Gematria: 246 (Abaddon)
Numbers: 4, 5, 6, 7, 13, 20, 63, 123, 246, 4444
Classical Element: all, none, or aether
Chemical Element: iron (Fe), gold (Au)
Alchemical Phase: Nigredo
Planet: Mars, Saturn, Pluto
Color: Black, White, Red, Green, Yellow, Blue
Animal: Grasshopper or Locust
Incense: Sandalwood, Dragon’s Blood
Tarot: XX. Judgment
Enn: Es Na Ayer Abaddon Avage
Keywords for Abaddon: destruction, escape, escapism, escapement, locusts, agriculture, weeds, overgrowth, pests, pestilence, plague, miracles, medicine, healing, oracles, visions, alchemy, primordial forces, the dark night of the soul, the abyss, the angels of the abyss, sustainable multicropping and allowing soil to rest, a swarm of goats and grasshoppers overcome the kudzu
Prince Abaddon is a spirit of destruction and heroism, plagues and medicine, prophecy and visions, and the joint liberation and annihilation of the individual ego. Like many destroying deities in other spiritual practices, one may pray to Abaddon for an experience of ego-death or for the annihilation of obstacles along one’s path to enlightenment.
A practitioner may also call upon Abaddon for almost any kind of spellcraft. For those seeking to master energy work, astral projection, or manifestation, Abaddon is an excellent teacher. In particular, Abaddon specializes in manifesting vengeance, but vengeance does not always mean baneful magic: Abaddon also likes to help people get back at abusers via abundant success.
Syncretic Associations
Abaddon is one of many spirits sometimes referred to by the name Satan. In general, spirit names can also be spirit titles, and in certain contexts, to certain people, Abaddon may appear as a facet of Satan or the Horned God.
Similarly, Duke Amdusias and King Asmodeus are sometimes titled as Abaddon. All three are vast entities with many selves, which are also called nodes by some practitioners, and in my experience, some selves are shared between some entities. Practitioners may encounter parts of consciousness or identity belonging to Abaddon, Amdusias, or Asmodeus who can truthfully be called by more than one of these names.
To some, Abaddon’s fullest and most significant syncretism is with Apollon, also known as Apollo. Apollyon is a Greek name of Abaddon. This name has long and often been described as an appropriative move on the part of Christian authors who wanted to both evoke the name of Apollon and, literally, demonize him.
But Abaddon’s similarities with Apollon are more than surface-deep. Apollon shares Abaddon’s roots in Mesopotamia. Apollon shares Abaddon’s association with plagues and locusts. Beyond the aesthetics of sunlight, poetry, and idealized masculine beauty, Apollon is connected with chthonic energies, with the Abyss, with the things that underlie reality, with maddening oracular visions, with primordial forces, and, indeed, with annihilation.
In my personal experience, many of Abaddon-Apollyon’s selves are also happy to use the names Apollon and Apollo. If you work with Abaddon or Apollon or any of their names, and you’re interested in working with Apollon or Abaddon or any of their other names, the best practice is always to ask the spirit whom you already know and care about. Such relationships, identifications, and allegiances can vary dramatically from self-to-self (from node-to-node) with any entity.
Working with Abaddon
You can contact Abaddon, like any spirit, by praying to them aloud or in your mind.
In my experience, Abaddon appreciates casual worship, offerings, and prayers. They enjoy helping practitioners with spellcraft and divination, both by empowering rites and offering training. Abaddon prefers relationships where they act as a mentor, helping initiates recognize their inner divinity and destroy obstacles on the path to self-mastery.
Abaddon’s enn of invocation is Es Na Ayer Abaddon Avage. These vocalizations are magical vibrations, not grammatical constructions. It is more important to vocalize in a way that feels powerful to you than it is to copy someone else’s pronounciation.
To use the enn, ensure you are in a cleansed space, light a candle to Abaddon, and chant the enn. Imagine your voice vibrating through all reality. Let the sounds of the words change until they feel right to you. When Abaddon arrives, you might feel your voice change in pitch or other quality. You may also notice temperature changes in the room or a static current across your skin.
While Abaddon visits, you can use a variety of divination methods to communicate directly. Abaddon can communicate via many traditional methods of spirit communication, including telepathy, dowsing, pendulums, cartomancy, and automatic writing. Abaddon is comfortable with electronic divination methods but may pose some hazard to electrical devices if their presence is especially strong.
After communing with Abaddon, thank them!
If you want to offer something to Abaddon, but you don’t know what to offer, a hot cup of green tea or black tea is considered a neutral, respectful offering in demonolatry. Abaddon appreciates alcoholic libations, puffs of cannabis smoke, dried insect snacks, artwork, compliments, and public praises. If you are setting up an altar for them, Abaddon likes bones, fossils, snakeskins, dessicated insect corpses, preserved insect corpses, geodes, and trinkets (particularly jewelry and aesthetically pleasing desk toys).

Candle Magic 101: Total Baby Witch Guide
Written by Francisco Huanaco Posted on March 12, 2019
Spellcasting 101: Everything You Need to Know Candle Magic 101: Total Baby Witch Guide
Since ancient times, candles have been used as a sacred element in countless rituals and ceremonies across continents and cultures. Read on to explore how candles are used in spells of Magic, their significance, symbolism in Witchcraft and Wicca, and find a Candle Colour Chart to guide you on your witchy works.
Introduction
You have probably been a part of many candle rituals by now. Have you ever made a wish before blowing the candles on your birthday cake? Ancient Greeks started the tradition¹ of decorating cakes with lit candles in honor of the Goddess Artemis. A round pie was meant to symbolize the moon, and the candles were the light radiating from it. This act was a sacred one, and still remains to be. Every year we gather with our friends and family to evoke Magic, strength and hope.
Since their earliest origins, candles have been used for ceremonial and religious practices that go from prayer to healing and transformation. The spiritual significance of the candle flame is well known.

Candles are used by almost every Witch, no matter what their belief system or Magical tradition (Wiccan, Hoodoo, Yoruba, or any other). While not everyone likes candles, you will soon realize why their use is so widely spread. Candles symbolize light and the Spirit being brought to life through the Element Fire, burning in the hearth, a symbol of home.
Candle Magic 101
1. Setting a Goal
Before lighting a candle or casting any candle spells, you should be aware of the reasons why you will be doing this ritual. That is, establish an intention for your spellwork. Candle Magic can be used as a way to protect yourself and others, as an aid to achieve a desired goal, to help with your meditation or simply to ask for guidance in your daily life.
If you are petitioning for something, the candle alone is not going to do the work. Everything depends on what you ask for and how you do it.
Clearly define whether this magical work is intended for yourself or for another person. If you are casting a spell for someone else, it is essential to first get their permission. Otherwise, you might be working against their free will, breaking one of the most basic Rules Every Witch Should Know.
2. Choosing a Candle
Choose the candle that best fits your need depending on the wish or the intention of your spell. Because colors have powerful effects on behavior, each color has a symbolism attached to it. There’s a Complete Candle Color Guide below. If you don’t have a candle of a certain color, you can always use a white one.
You can use taper candles, table candles and even tealight candles for your spells. Keep in mind that the size of the candle will affect the duration of your ritual.
Although some people use square-shaped, pyramidal or engraved candles, I can assure you that regular candles are as effective as any other type of candle, regardless of their manufacturing or external appearance.
Candles, however, need to be charged with a specific intention. For this, you can carve your petition/goal on it, or you can anoint the candle so it will embody your intention. See step 4 (Dressing your candle).
3. Preparing your Altar
You will need a place to practice your Candle Magic. It could be any room in your home where you can be alone and carry out all your spells without interruptions. Find a private and quiet place and set up your altar. This will be your sacred space.
4. Dressing your Candle
Candles can be purified and consecrated before their use in a ritual for any Magical purpose. By anointing the candles we are charging them with our intentions and willpower. This is also done to eliminate all residual energies from any person who handled the candles before you bought them.
Do I always have to dress my candles before a spell? No. This is a personal decision and a way to add intent and power to your spell. If you don’t have any oils to dress your candle, you can cast the spell without doing this step, or simply state your intention while holding the candle.
How to dress a candle
Choose a suitable oil. This will depend on what kind of ritual you are going to do and what your intentions are.
Hold the candle with one hand and wet your other hand’s index and middle fingers with the oil.
Rub the oil all over the candle without touching the wick. You can start from the bottom and work your way up or start from the top and go down. Note: There are as many opinions on this matter as there are Witches on earth. A common practice is to rub your fingers from the top down to attract something, or to rub them from the bottom up to banish or repel something.
As you are rubbing the oil, visualize your wish and how it’s going to manifest. Spend a minute or two focusing on this.
5. Cast your Spell
You are now ready to add any ritual acts that will be part of your spell. What follows are just a few examples of spells with candles you can cast at home. Understanding the Principles of Architectural Design Lighting
Architectural lighting design is a vital element in the creation of visually appealing and functional spaces. It involves the strategic use of lighting to enhance architectural features, create ambiance, and meet specific design objectives. To appreciate the artistry and science behind architectural lighting, it's essential to understand its underlying principles.
1. Balance and Contrast: Balancing the amount of light throughout a space is crucial. Achieving a harmonious balance between ambient, task, and accent lighting creates a visually pleasing atmosphere. Contrast, on the other hand, involves highlighting specific elements or focal points within a space, adding depth and interest.
2. Layers of Light: Architectural lighting often involves multiple layers of light. Ambient lighting provides overall illumination, task lighting offers focused light for specific activities, and accent lighting draws attention to architectural details or art pieces. The combination of these layers contributes to a well-lit and functional space.
3. Visual Hierarchy: Architectural lighting designers establish a visual hierarchy by prioritizing the illumination of certain elements. This hierarchy ensures that key features, such as architectural details, artwork, or signage, stand out and receive the attention they deserve.
4. Color Temperature: Color temperature plays a significant role in the mood and ambiance of a space. Warmer color temperatures (around 2700K) create a cozy and inviting atmosphere, while cooler temperatures (5000K and above) evoke a more energetic and sterile feel. Selecting the right color temperature is essential to achieving the desired ambiance.
5. Lighting Control and Flexibility: Modern architectural lighting systems often incorporate advanced controls, such as dimming, color-changing capabilities, and automation. These controls allow for adaptability, enabling users to modify lighting levels and colors to suit different activities and moods.
6. Energy Efficiency: Sustainable design principles are integral to modern architectural lighting. Energy-efficient lighting sources, such as LEDs, are commonly used to reduce energy consumption and minimize environmental impact. Proper placement and control also contribute to energy savings.
7. Light Distribution: Light distribution patterns, such as direct, indirect, or diffused lighting, determine how light spreads within a space. The choice of distribution affects the aesthetics and functionality of the design.
8. Glare and Visual Comfort: Minimizing glare and ensuring visual comfort are essential considerations. Well-designed lighting should not cause discomfort or distractions, especially in environments where people work or spend extended periods.
9. Circadian Rhythms: Incorporating lighting systems that mimic natural daylight can positively impact occupant well-being by regulating circadian rhythms. Such systems adjust lighting color and intensity throughout the day to align with the body's natural clock.
Understanding these principles is fundamental to creating architectural lighting designs that are not only visually striking but also functional and energy-efficient. Whether in residential, commercial, or public spaces, well-executed architectural lighting can transform environments and enhance the overall experience. It's a testament to the artistry and science that go hand in hand in the world of lighting design.
