see i could see daigo mabes pulling that to poke/tease at mine's devotion- like at a point where they're Well Established as """"friends"""" and it's not an ACTUAL display of power if you know what i mean. just guys being dudes behavior.

but yeah that's what i really love so much about minedai and mine though !! like yes mine is utterly head over heels for daigo, but that doesn't put a cork in his work ethic or his goals and it doesn't distract him from priorities: it's a nice reminder that mine's character doesn't revolve solely around daigo (even if daigo is a solid portion of it) and he's not afraid to speak his mind, even if it's against people he wants to build rapport with

#snap chats #to truly understand and appreciate minedai you need to understand nuance honestly #like yes daigo is kind and soft spoken and could have a soft heart for those he cares about #but that doesnt make him diminutive and it doesnt mean he cant stand his ground- and he certainly isnt happy on handing control to people #at the same time yes mine is aggressive about his wants and- dare i say- ambitious. but his all-time weakness is intimacy #not just in that he lacks any actual intelligence in it but he also craves it so much he'd do anything for it #BUT at the same time he's not wholly a people pleaser. he'll do what he thinks will gain him the most profit #and invest in the people he thinks are actually worth it but is ready to drop them if he understands they're useless to him #these are essential to understanding the depths not of just minedai but of daigo and mine as individuals its SOO important. to me.
