#TheRoadHomeForChristmas premiered this weekend on Lifetime. It stars Marla Sokoloff (Lindsey), Rob Mayes (Wes) and Marie Osmond (Cassie), a pop star touring throughout the Christmas season. It garnered 🎄🎄🎄🎄 bittersweet, Christmas tears! This is the first of the season to warm the ice-block that is my heart. Lindsey and Wes are dueling pianists who work the night scene singing Christmas carols in New Orleans. A talent scout likes the way Wes jingles, leaving Lindsey out in the cold. With Christmas around the corner, they each need to find a cheap way home for the holidays. Lindsey mentions that she needs to get to Ohio and guess who also has family in Ohio? Sweet Wes, who snagged a deal and ice-skated right over her dreams. With the speed of your uncle spiking the eggnog, Lindsey and Wes are sharing a sleigh (read: car) and get into all sort of Christmas hijinx along the way. They sing, play piano, awkwardly share a motel bed, get trapped in a blizzard and hitchhike with caroling nuns. Along the way, Wes stops complaining about his back long enough for Lindsey to notice his 1000 watt smile and cute, little elf-nose. They bond over shared hardships, the desire to make (nothing but Christmas) music and love their family.
