Nishant always did what he promised, having learnt from his parents that false promises were bad, and could not be accepted in their society - and certainly not from their son - the consequences were always harsh when he did end up forgetting something. Especially when it came to community stuff and school things. 

He’d planned this well with Sofia, though he pretended like they merely had a time and a date to hang out, and they’d go from there, while Nishant had written out their hiking route, the places they could visit within what time frame, where they should be taking breaks, and possibly where they could get lunch. After all, it was winter, so daylight hours were short, and the most had to be made of the day.

However, while his brain was focussed on making good time at the beginning, Sofia opened the door and seemed confused as to why he was there. He frowned, looking over the outfit that she was wearing; not the best for hiking, while he was dressed in thermowear and a rain repellent jacket - he’d checked the weather. 

Also was she crying? “Hey uhm… we discussed going hiking today?” he asked, because now he was unsure. "Are you okay? Did something happen?"

♚ The witch had, by this point, pretty much decided that outside was bad. Her sister, of course, felt like Sofia was not simply being overly cautious but throwing a sort of pity party for herself. There had definitely been talk between them on the flight over from the states that things would be different when they got to Micah, that they'd just get to finally live and be happy and settle. Instead, at least for Sofia, it felt like everything that could go wrong had. Immediately it was known they were witches, people had been jerks, and now she couldn't go outside for walking into some fog and ending back on main street again with sore feet. To Sofia, she felt as though her response of staying inside rewatching Futurama with her black cat Nibbler on her lap was perfectly valid.

♚. It meant she had forgotten any prior made plans though. The knock that came to the front door not at all bringing the memory to her mind. Her black cats golden eyes darting about as his human mother stood from the couch, rushing off in the direction of the small hallway, while chip dust fell off her chest and down to the floor, some crumbs lingering on Micah's band tee she had stolen - as well as his Halloween slippers. Sofia just assumed her sister had forgotten her tee shirt, or one of the band members had thought they were meeting at the home and not the studio that day, lazily walking in the direction of the door.

♚ Opening the door wide Sofia certainly looked different than she had when she'd met Nishant at her old job. Most obviously she was about six inches shorter and since Sofia was actually quite short, hem of her jeans dragging over top of her fluffy slippers, she looked up rather than down as she had before, brown eyes still surrounded by a sharp winged linger but this one not nearly so long and in this instance somewhat smudged from Sofia crying at the episode where Fry's dog was cloned... "What are you doing here?"

Weekly Round Up and a Look Ahead - Week 3 March 2016

 Happy last day of Winter! 

I went skiing yesterday with my friend Gary Hall and had an amazing time. We stopped for a breather and Gary told me an amazing story of a friend of his who is an alaskan dog sled racer.
