Anyone else headcanon the theory that when Adam Young reset reality, that because he said Satan never was his father, thus making Arthur Young his father all along, that he also reset the lives of the humans who were directly involved?

And that's why Nina and Maggie are not Sisters Mary and Theresa?

Like, since Satan never was Adam's father The Order Of Chattering Nuns would have no purpose. Since there's no antiChrist to deliver in Adam's reset world, they were never founded for that purpose.

So instead of being Sister Theresa and Sister Mary they are Nina and Maggie instead.

It's timey whimey, but basically what if Adam uses the fact he exists with his powers to continue existing, but as something else, and hand waves away the parameters that made him exist as what he was originally ....

All to give Nina and Maggie a chance to figure it all out here and now....

I'm honestly baffled by how many people seem to get "Manfred is freethinker, Ascalon is sheeple" from Babel and "Manfred outsmarted Hoederer" from 14. I can at least begrudgingly understand the former, because the narrative goes out of its way to invalidate Ascalon's every decision so you need to be invested enough to take a step back and see it's actually bullshit, but with the latter W outright mocks Manfred for acting exactly like Hoederer predicted, and this is despite Ulsulah's advanced warnings about the situation on Lifebone. Hell, the fact that Hoederer doesn't even try to fight (presumably because he is acting as a bait and this minimizes his potential injuries) and complete lack of reaction from everyone else suggest that everything was still proceeding according to plan B (separate Manfred from his men so you don't fight them at the same time), even if plan A (intercept him) got Damazti'd.

something something about the way scary pushes everyone away because she is shielding herself makes me want to cry. the way she appears to be confident when talking about herself at the beginning of s2 and how self deprecating she seems to be now. "to be so angry at something but nobody to aim it at except for dumb old me, right?" because that's what she does to herself everyday. she can't care for people because it's heartbreaking when they eventually leave, so she says mean shit to them in the hopes she can drive them away because! that hurts less! if she can control the way they leave it will hurt less right?

the way she is fighting herself to not like terry and care for him because, how dare he waltz into her life and shower her with unconditional love and praise? love is not unconditional, if it was, her father would have never left. she needs to be worthy of it, just like willy told her, right? then everybody will stick with her, because she will finally be whole. the broken piece inside her that made her father not love her enough will be whole. she will never be left alone again and she will be able to care once again because nobody will leave.

Your rant about honkai's characters looking generic when compared to WfM's character designs (which i fucking love too) reminded me how a while back genshintwt accused honkai's male characters of all looking the same and honkaitwt lost their fucking mind, and as much as I love our honkai bois I'm not going to sit here and pretend their designs are revolutionary (especially since they made Carole's mom look more masculine than 80% of the male designs they've created, and I still haven't forgotten Kiana describing Himeko as a "valkyrie with beefy arms", what a joke)

Genshintwt accused honkai men of all looking the same???? Genshin???? The fandom that lusts after the 20 dudes with almost the exact same body type/shape and absolutely looses their minds over the slightest bit of muscle/booba???? Oh that's hilarious.

Like, the honkai men also look pretty similar for the most part (minus Siegfried and sometimes Welt depending on who drew him). I just think that's a bit of the pot calling the kettle black there.

But ya, hoyo has a running problem with describing characters bodies as one way and just... not modeling it. Aside from the Himeko example you brought up, there's also a bunch of characters going up to Kevin and going "woah! You look so athletic," Baizhu being described as looking sickly, Beidou being described as tall and buff, Ganyu gaining weight easily... I'm pretty sure there's more instances, these are just the ones I remember off the top of my head. Idk man, I just feel like if your fandom is surprised that one of your main characters is canonically scrawny, there's a bit of a design problem

The whole thing just makes me find Witch from Mercury's character designs incredibly refreshing. It's just nice to see a series that takes a pretty typical anime art style and use it to depict so many of the different ways people can look.

i do imagine daniel was invited to one (1) party at oxford, nothing wild, just a friendly get together but a bunch of these people were not-so-subtly making fun of daniel, both to his face and behind his back. anyways this led to the incident where daniel tried alcohol for the first time and had to be hospitalized because turns out his body literally cannot process alcohol

i think an interesting and odd thing is learning silence regrets and feels so much guilt over what happened to ifrit (including binding her future to the diabolus shard in her body) that she questions whether or not it was correct to save her in the first place. i guess to her there’s no difference between the inital procedure and the escalation because it was inevitable that ifrit would be used as an experiment and tool because the power in her would never not be coveted by nations & the procedure was never done without that intention in the first place. ifrit is fairly happy now at RI (child soldier but LOL we ignore that) but if she had met what silence believes to be her original, unadulterated destiny, she would be well, dead a few hours after being rescued from the haydn lab, and she would have simply perished because of someone else’s evil, be another unknown tragedy, and silence would be spared the burden and guilt of having altered a powerless child’s fate so drastically. i wonder when she looks at ifrit, what does she think? i think she doesn’t think it was a mistake to save her, and simultaneously believes that what she did was unforgivable lmfaoo and it’s wacky that the only thing that might help her remotely come to terms with all of it right now is saria’s knowledge that ifrit struggled desperately to live when she had found her. BUT you know. Messy breakup and all that
