At random intervals I realize that the level of thought I've put into Pokémon lore might not be incredibly relevant to people like I made a comment in the last fic I posted abt Celebi being a "miracle of life" deity and for people less involved it mightve made more sense to put Arceus there but no Celebi is canonically the one that delivers Eggs in the original lore

#Johto seems to be a firly religious region #i HIGHLY doubt Gold is religious bc lol. but i think its so engrained in the culture hed make offhand jokes abt it #the way i see its like. celebi is a life/time deity. lugia is a death/chaos deity. ho-oh is a reincarnation/order deity #none of them are like. feared or anything and since theyre tangible creatures theres a lot of ppl that are like #dude theyre just pkmn. you can go out and catch them if u find them #so yeah i dont think its like a huge deal its just a cultural thing #ppl from kanto think johto is weird bc kanto is super not religious JRJWHDJ #mew was a scientific thing and the birds just kinda exist. like theyre local 'legends' but not seen as godlike #theres some ppl that probably worhsip the birds but its not a huge culture #ppl say 'thank the birds' sometimes #im rambling idk HDJSHJD #💛
