yeah but im very picky i hate when they get masturbatory. i despise irony culture i despise post-ironic "sincerity culture" which is just another performative way of not being honest in any way. i think that defunctland video on the disney logo thing is a prime example of video essays i hate even though i generally enjoy his content. also i personally despise the contrapoints style i hate the lighting i despise the "fandom" and i think all video essays should be in the form of lectures.
