@rutadales started this one recently and really like it so far, the idea started out silly and then i ended up doing a lot of worldbuilding and accidentally gave foolish a lot of trauma. whoops!

(also read more bc i talked a lot)

basic premise is that karl and nolan are roommates (similar to how it is now they just moved in with each other instead bc foosh as a streamer does not exist. bc he is a dogboy) and they decide to get a pet. after bickering back and forth about dog vs cat karl agrees to get a dog on the condition that nolan be the one to take care of adopting it and doing all the care stuff karl doesnt want to do. nolan ends up accidentally adopting a dogboy thru a shady website (foolish)

ok slight worldbuilding dump: hybrids in this universe were created by Science sometime in the Past (i am doing barely any research to make this make sense just play with me in this space) and a lot of misinfo was spread by their creator who claimed they were unintelligent and controlled by instincts (theyre basically like humans with animal features but it is omegaverse rules and theres alphas/omegas). in modern times they exist in more of a gray area where its still legal to own them as pets but they can become independent thru emancipation (i think thats the right word? i googled like one article about emancipation of minors thats kind of what im basing it off of. idk like i said barely any research im having fun fuck it we ball)

i'm kind of playing it fast and loose with the plot but the basic idea is karl (and nolan but mostly karl bc the fic is from his pov) trying to teach foolish to be an actual person while also dealing with all of his dogboy-isms (and past trauma. bc uhhhhh plot twist the place where foolish came from before being adopted by karl and nolan was like. the hybrid equivalent of a puppy mill. idk how it got slightly angsty it just happened)

theoretically it's endgame koolish also but it's gonna take a while to get there lmao
