And you think you don’t care.

Well.

Its hard to ease into it, but you still know you should.

He sacrificed himself for someone else.

Took a bullet for someone else.

Someone that was never going to be you.

And now, he’s in front of you.

Not the one striving for his life, the one who got to live.

You know this life well. And you thrive on it. Born to fight, raised to live.

But never for him.

“He told me to watch over you,” He says with his golden hair and beard, looking at you seriously.

His eyes are too blue.

His office, or what he chooses to show face in, is cold. Everything is white or beige. Big open windows behind him, desk and monitor shining on his face.

“So…I have to work? For you. That were his last words?” Before he became a vegetable, you don’t say.

You’re clad in attire that almost didn’t even get you into his floor. Theres an oversized leather jacket draped over the chair next to you, denim skirt, groza strapped right underneath (and another in said jacket), white tank and low top sneakers ;because its blazing outside, obviously. Sweat still sticking, mind the very ventilated room.

You think back;

“I’m just here to see Steve Rogers,” you say to the point of exhaustion to the receptionist - secretary whatever.

You think if she was more gentle and nice about it, you would’ve given her grace. But she wasn’t, and hasn’t.

“Yes, but I told you I’ve spoken to him on the phone, and I’ve shown you the number that I could see you obviously recognized, plus the text he sent to come at this time.”

She rolls her eyes.

You decide you’re going to maim her.

“I’ve heard this all before,” She responds in a bored tone, “If you’re not on the sched-”

You’re beginning to pull out the dagger under your skirt.

A hand stops you.

“She’s fine. Let us up.”

You immediately pull on his wrist in retaliation. You think you’re about to break it, but he meets yours eyes.

Eyes to blue. But ones you don’t recognize.

And he stands by Steve now, hands clasped on his front.

You think he said he said his name was Bucky in the silent elevator.

He continues, “I’m not going to take whats owed to yo-”

“Well, he wanted you to, no?” you finish.

You cross your arms, leaning back slightly in the chair. “Just tell me what you need me to do.”

Steve sighs, look away from you, then back to you. “We need you to keep doing what you do best. But this time, for a cause that matters.”

“And that cause is…?” You sit up, confusion evident.

He stalls, as if confused. “You’re father.”

You slack by down, not amused and definitely not interesting

Steve continues, “Just pretend to be my assistant, do what you do best for him, and I’ll protect you.”

You laugh, a short, bitter sound that echoes in the sterile room. "Protect me?” He must be joking.”I think I’ll be fine without it.”

“You know who your father is, right?”

Your face morph into something close to irration.

Its not Steve, its the other blue eyes, and you look straight into his eyes, Bucky you think, “Did I stutter?”

The tension in the room thickens, Steve interjects, placing his palm up to interrupt whatever his (Bucky?) rebuttal was, “This isn’t just about you. It’s about preventing something bigger.”

Your eyes leave a pair of blues, to meet another;

Steve continues, “No one knows what happened. If they know the state he’s in, or even wher-”

“So what? I play assistant

“Exactly.” His shadow says.

You don’t like Bucky.

“You already have one. The bitchy one.”

Steve sighs, “You’re just a cover. You’ll be doing the real work.”

You lean back again, contemplating. "Fine. But if this goes south, I'm out," you say, standing up grabbing your coat.

Steve nods, "Understood,” He stands up when you do respectfully. We start tomorrow."

You scoff again opening the door to exit, “We start next Monday.”

The door closes behind you with a soft click, leaving Steve and Bucky in a tense silence.

Bucky turns to Steve, "Are you sure about this?"

Steve nods, "She was his right hand” He looks back at the seat you were sat on.”No ones going to do it as best as her.”

dont get me wrong, i like tsubomi as much as the next mob psycho guy and i understand the desire to see more of her but i do think theres something to be said for the exact amount we Do know about her

shes the device through which the story is framed-- we begin on mob deciding he wants to impress her and end on finally asking her out. theres a lot that could be attributed to mob/shigeos inner state and how he sees her, and you can definitely say that the narrative is contained in the time it takes mob to accept himself, but since that sense of self is so deeply linked to his view of tsubomi its sort of difficult to separate the two, especially when that shadows onto her so heavily.

its important that their relationship is only referenced or implied, because this show is as shaped around her as mob is, and as such its important that We, The Audience dont know a lot about her, on a meta level. we get gleams of her personality from other characters but its never allowed to be substantial, because if mob Knew tsubomi through his main arc things would have to be significantly different, there would be a genuine chance at not being rejected in the end which would (arguably) unravel Other threads. the idea that you must be kind for the sake of it, for the sake of self improvement, would then conflict with the incredibly solid ending of Doing the right thing, being the kind person, but ultimately having to do it for yourself instead of to impress/win over someone else

this is also why tsubomis writing has never come across as shallow or like, misogynistic to me, bc in a lesser show she would be perfect and unattainable and mob would get with her at the end as a reward for being a good person, but mobpsy ISNT that show. it treats tsubomi with the same amount of care that it treats any other character. even more minor characters like mezato and the claw members, who dont have a lot of depth as a whole, have Something to say for themselves. there is something you could find there. so the amount of details put into tsubomis character (as the Leading Force of the show) is then made so much more deliberate. the one thing emphasized by this show (especially over time) is that shes a person. a regular person. and thats the best way she could have been treated

I wont talk about the weird cgi and how unprofessional it looks but about how inaccurate the trailer is because it pisses me off and I have to be a nerd about it <3

first of all, those are NOT minecraft mountains.

Yes such seeds exist and you can find smt like that super easily in the game but it does NOT look so blocky

Next, what the fuck happened to the flowers.

Alot of the plants, trees, etc look like a disrespectful rip off of minecraft

Talking about plants, the trees are a big wtf

On the first pic you can see the log is SO THIN. LIKE THINNER THAN A TOOTHPICK. In the second you can see it is thicker, but because the block that fell out is so Itty bitty, you have to make the tree thinner.

The tree is as wide as the players, and when the block falls out its bigger than whatever the fuck this is. Yes I understand they have to carry the blocks and they can't make it too big, but you know what's a good solution? - make the blocks bigger when they fall out, but make them shrink when they get close/get put into a chest or inventory. SO EASY

Also I know you can find pink sheep naturally in the game, but oh come on.

You want to show how sPeCiAl the characters are and that they're sOoOoOo special they found a pink sheep on their spawn but oh my God you could have just let it be a normal sheep.

We stay with animals, and WHAT HAPPENED TO THE POOR WOLF. THE SNATCHED WAIST???? WHAT DID YOU DO TO HIM ☹️

and why is the creeper so, fluffy. Creepers are NOT made out of fur they are made of what alot of minecraft players suspect rotten skin like zombies or a skin-alike material, but it is NOT fur.

Also, *wrong buzzer sound* llamas don’t just spawn naturally. Unless theres a wandering trader (or however theyre called in english) they aren’t able to spawn just like that. They also usually have the carpet on their back.

EDIT: TURNS OUT THEY DO SPAWN NATURALLY IN MOUNTAIN BIOMES. still the Llama being here looks like they just put her there to try and "be funny" ykwim?

I also wanted to also say, this one character I feel that they're gonna be the most stereotypical, annoying one out of the whole movie and my ears hurt just looking at them

I wanted to say that the portal shouldn't be blue but like. Only the nether portal is purple, it's unknown how other portals look so... yeah

But still wtf is this cube??? What's the fuck are you holding young man???

Also, talking about mobs, piglins dont look like that, they dont have red light in their eyes, they dont have those drum-things because THEY DONT EVEN EXIST IN MINECRAFT which i will get to latur. They aren’t able to build like that, they aren’t able to get wood for trapdoors and for the fences and iron for the chains. Also they do not even know how to craft, they probably domt even know what a crafting table is. And ghasts also aren’t able to be in the overworld. I understand that theyre invading the land ans taking over but still Like Cmon >:(

I also wanted to say that this is not how nether looks but like. It does a bit, like where the piglins usually spawn ykwim? so ill give them that, the nether looks alr

Anyway TALKING ABOUT THINGS THAT DONT EXIST IN MINECRAFT: whatever this is, it isnt craftable in minecraft, unless there are mods installed. But the „mods” excuse can be used for everything in this post. It was the first thing i saw that pissed me off so badly that i had to make this post because like JUST USE ALL THE STUFF THAT THE ORIGINAL FRANCHISE HAS TO OFFER! NORMAL BUCKETS WOULD PROBABLY WORK JUST FINE!

Last but not least, if you think those two are the same character ive got some bad news for you buddy.

At least dye his beard brown. At least get the colours right. Please.

I think i mentioned everything i wanted. Lets hope the movie will get fixed or will turn out to be at least a bit better.

Ash after going on vacation from streaming to go on an adventure, then dying and coming back three times during, coming back to streaming: "Y'all won't guess what happened AGAIN during this times vacation!"

(dunno why but I'd like to think that in any pokemon world where Ash Ketchum is a streamer he's told his followers and subs about his deaths. So like him dying during vacation happens so often that there is now an emote for when he says it and the emote is just him in the family guy death pose)

It's consenually assumed that Ash is fibbing the 'death' count and legendary count, No one is THAT unlucky.

Ash ends up being known as the Exaggerator among the streaming community. Cancel culture left and right to take him off the platform because he's lying. But everytime you send a hate mob, Ash shuts that shit down fast.

"Just cause you guys don't believe in me, doesn't mean im lying." He scowls one day in the middle of a CraftMines game (tm). "Fuck off and eat shit, I just wanna play games, train and tell you all stories."

The scowl on his face ends up being a reaction meme for awhile, usually followed by *The only time i cuss.*

I just imagine in Kalos, Right after the Yveltal situation, he streams directly after it. It's only his face, but you can hear the hustle and bustle of the hospital works.

"Alright, Who bet on this one being worse, Pay up cause wowzers."

And the chat floods with

Wowzers?

Did he say wowzers?

Dude what drugs are you on?

Yo, are you in a hospital??

Motherfucker said "wowzers" okay old man.

"I'm on Morphine, and i took a pretty bad hit to the head, excuse me for being lingolistic of the last century." And the camera tilts before he rights it, just as pikachu comes onto the screen, looking battered and bruised and a helluva lot more gray than before that's only barely receding. "Why did i do this again? Oh- i was gonna say im gonna take a break from streaming for a bit."

"Why did you stream to say that then?" A voice offscreen asks. "Why not like, send a Pidge?"

"It's actually called Z now." Ash quips back and his eyes are closed. You can see the bruises underneath his eyes. "probably should of- i dunno Clem my head hurts."

"Okay, say bye then."

"Bye then."

The stream doesnt end right away, Ash sort of doses off with Pikachu nestling on his neck. His fur is noticeablly less gray, but no one will figure that out until they compare

At First, there are skeptics all around. Loads of people calling it a publicity stunt cause - who the fuck streams in a hospital for crisis sake!!! Theres like a hate mob for awhile, and his numbers drop wildly.

Until a video comes out, it's clearly a bystander that shows the blurry images of a Pokemon. You can see the camera desperately trying to focus but it can't. You can also see it attacking groups of people, so the camera focuses on them.

You can hear Ash screaming for his pokemon, for Pikachu, before the video cuts out.

The numbers sky rocket, abd everyone desperately awaits for the next stream. Except the Kalos League hapens, and they're all left in the dark until Ash goes back home to Kanto. His arm is in a cast, his face is bruised along the left side of his jaw, and his nose has a plaster over it.

"So." He starts the stream, smiling brightly. "Trainers and Entertainers, guess whose not dead!"

And the stream skyrockets to one of the most viewed for the time.

Reallll omfg it’s so interesting isn’t it. Idk either but ig we can try to discuss that thru the religious metaphor thing. Well when u deep it f1 is a sport of icons. at their best, their most insane and awe inducing, they're wearing helmets and going 200mphs and u cant c them u only see their hands on the machines. And their machines are completely out of our reach. It’s not like a ball for example or stuff thats easily obtainable and u can touch and feel for yourself like wid f1 we can read about the technology and try to learn but even when ur at a race u kind of feel like ur watching aliens at work. Their world is not accessible to us. It’s like a whole different universe. So that distance creates a lot of room for imagination and mythology. f1 drivers the the only human shape to all that, they become kind of like pastors here, the human vessels of this strange, fast, technologically impossible world. And not only that they’re the ones who give it meaning, by risking their lives, by achieving speeds no one else can, and battling one another, and pushing one another, sometimes to the point of no return. Theres some that are so good they go go a step beyond that and start to become part of the technology, part of the dream, and they begin to peddle their own faith. For example lewis hamilton and his huge presence and what he represents and the way he cultivates such intense type of connections wid his fans. Then u got charles leclerc and his tragic type of greek tale trying to push the boulder up the red mountain that u want to c try and try and try again because maybe one day the boulder will be nice to him or whatvr. And then sitting next to these type of characters u have Max. And max calls this a job. Max clocks in like u and me and everybody else wud. What is god to a man who has mastered his craft to the point he doesn't require belief? To a man who deems himself ordinary and yet continuously does extraordinary things? In a universe built around faith the bro who sits on the throne needed none at all. He got it because he could and because what was a dream to you, and me, and them, to him was a matter of time

Occult Encounter at the Mall

I was hanging out with my friend, Emily, I usually call her Em, and her friend group. We were in her car listening to music, on our way to the mall. Em and her friends are really cool. They’re all into video games, anime and nerdy stuff like me. 

We arrive at the mall. Em’s driving is kinda wonky, but we get to our destination in one piece, thankfully🙏  We walk in to the mall. Straight to a clothes store. I notice they only have women’s clothes. Is it just me or is it always hot in clothes stores? I almost build up a sweat from just standing there. But luckily we didn’t stay there for too long. I start to remember I kinda hate shopping, but then we walked to this store were they have all sorts of pop culture stuff like games and comic books and such. It’s way more fun to look in these kinds of stores in my opinion.  

We start getting hungry so we decide that we should get something to eat. We go to the food court. It has several restaurants and chains circling a big open space with tables and seats. Me and Em get a hot dog each. While her friends got some boba tea, a pizza and a quesadilla, which they shared. While we wait in line for the food, one of Em’s friends comes back, she had bought a sweater. It looked pretty cool. A knitted sweater with a gothic inspired cemetery, crows and flies flying around in the air while the ground was infested with rats and worms. I thought it was a cool juxtaposition with the knitted, cozy, warm crafting method, mixed with the dark, harsh, cold realities of the design.

Then we got our foods and went to sit down and enjoy our meals.  

After a while we get done eating and start to discuss what to do next. None of us gets any specific idea, so we just hang around and chat for an hour or two. All of a sudden music starts blasting from the speakers. They’re playing Gangnam Style. And a person starts dancing on the open floor right in front of us. Suddenly others starts to join in. I can’t believe it. I realize it’s a flash mob. Im like; What the hell is going on? Have we been transported back to 2012??

Em told me that there was too many people there and that her anxiety was going wild. So we decide to leave. Her friends wanted to stay and see the show though. Which was no problem. On our way out we walk past this one store. I ask if they’re ever going to restore this shop, I can’t remember last time I saw it open. 

Theres shutters over the entrance, but it has some holes in it so I try to shine the light from my phones flashlight in there to get a better look. But it’s still too dark to really see anything. Then my friend tries to be funny and tries to spook me, so she jumps on my back, making me drop my phone in to the store. «Nice, what do we do now?» I try to stretch my arm into the store through the shutter holes, but the openings are to small to fit my entire arm. As I try to make my arm fit I notice the shutters are kinda shrugging off the floor. I try to lift them and they fly up. Someone must have forgotten to lock them. 

No one else were nearby, everybody in the mall were probably to preoccupied with the flash mob. So we walk inside. I grab my phone off the floor. I shine my phone on the stand I vaguely see next to me, and there I see all these games and statues. This store used to be a GameStop. All GameStops in my country are now closed down. Which is sad😿  This store must have been closed down since the start of the 2010s, at least. Because the shop was filled with games for the xbox 360, Playstation 3 and the Nintendo Wii. Did we actually travel back in time or what is even happening right now? 

I started remembering I used to go to this store all the time when I was just a kid. It was such a blast from the past. Like a rush of nostalgia. The games were scattered on the shelves, like half of them had been cleared for the shut down of the store. They still had some solid games though, like Super Mario Galaxy, the original Red Dead Redemption, Assassins Creed: Brotherhood, Black Ops, God of War 3. They also had box sets on the top shelves. The ones you could preorder and get a statue with the game, or some times other miscellaneous thingys. I couldn’t believe that these things were just laying around there. Em was also pretty awestruck. 

Em immediately rattled on about how cool it all was, but also wondered why this would still be here. I had no idea, but I knew one thing. I wanted to check out the backroom. I always wondered what was on the other side of that door. It was located behind the counter. When I was small only the employees were allowed entrance. I always wondered what was on the other side when they would go check if they had a game or something.

I walked up behind the counter to the door. I laid my hand on the door handle, and pushed it down. Of course, it was locked. I turned around and flashed the flashlight of my phone on the counter. There was a computer and two monitors on the top of the desk, it didn’t work anymore. Beneath it were some drawers. I went through them. They were filled with game discs. I noticed that there was a key chain down in the corner of the one drawer. Maybe one of the keys could fit the door.

One of the keys did fit. I opened the door, and inside I saw a red ouroboros surrounding an inverted pentagram made out of Celtic knots, with an ankh in the middle of the pentagram. There were candles in each of its corner, half burned down. Each of the points of the pentagram pointed to its own symbol. I had to search them up and try to find them when I got home, so hopefully these are right. Under the middle downwards point of the pentagram was an alchemical solar symbol. At the middle left point was a Sri Yantra symbol. In the upper left corner the cross of saint Peter, i.e. an inverted cross. In the upper right corner was the sigil of Lucifer. And at the middle right point the I’itoi symbol. Pretty weird.

When Em came in behind me she didn’t say anything. She then said she wanted to get out of there now. So we left.

had 2 dreams tonight i need to talk about the 2nd one first before i forget cause holy shit.

framed as if i were watching a twitch stream highlight reel of someones heavily modded minecraft hardcore world. biggest key mods were that they would not regenerate hearts (this guy was on about 7?) he had an upgrade that essentially allowed him to creative fly, and for some fucking reason he had some weird jerma mob that was roaming around the end. (later in the dream what were called "half life worms" show up which he gets confused by)

the main plot of the dream was this guy is about to go enter the end and defeat the dragon for the first time. when he walks in, he begins building some stairs, fancy things cause hes already planning what to do with the main end island. hes using blue/teal palettes (warped wood) because the first thing he notices is that the end is covered in a central jungle made out with teal colors. he quickly hears a groaning sound and realizes, hey! warden is spawning instead of a dragon! and begins to panic and flies towards the edges of the spawn island borders (theres a faint yellow transparent border surrounding the island. its also covered in a thick layer of frost (i guess?) and im telling u because its used later) before realizing that the warden is still very much targeting him and he is not safe yet. he begins to notice several key dangers about where he is.

1. he was not prepared in the slightest

2. the warden can still damage him from where hes at, and can still lock onto him

3. the jerma mob is around on the island, making noise and occasionally aggravating the warden so that it wont despawn even if the streamer is able to get it to stop hearing him.

4. the portal out is not activated and he has no other way home. he has to kill the warden and activate the portal to get home.

5. the health hes at right now is low enough that he can very possibly be one shot by this warden and have his entire hardcore world end at this fight.

at this point he spends the entire rest of the stream attempting to work out solutions to these issues. at this point all it consists of is him flying around, panicking, trying to scrape off the frost to use as an extra tool, taking potshots at both jerma and the warden, and overall getting nowhere before he ends the stream.

but this is a highlight reel like i mentioned so it just immediately fades into the next stream.

we open up on him *somehow* outside of the spawn island cage. the area outside is sky blue, and hes built around it these floating wood and tan paths, covered in jungle trees and shrubs and vines. tge actual spawn island cage has a lot of green jungle growth surrounding it, as well as a central tower/spire up on top of the box. this tower has a hole in the middle that allows this guy to see all the way down to the shrieker which is still active.

the guy is flying around, talking to chat about what hes done between streams, all while the warden is still shooting sonic booms at the streamer. these can be seen through the tree cover hes established just barely before their range ends.

the dream ends with no conclusion, simply me waking up while he is in the middle of this kind of introduction section.

First post! The world so far.

Hello Tumblr

This blog is gonna be about my Hardcore world, the things I do in it and the things surrounding it! This ranges from building farms in game to making the Youtube videos about them and everything else I do for this world.

From start to end

The beginning

Apologies for the clickbaity thumbnail, i dont like it either.

This is my 10th Hardcore world, hence S10. There was really only 1 other noteworthy world, S9, but its boring ahh hell compared to S10. The death of that world is what is referenced in the first clip of the vid

As usual the first thing i did was get to the End asap and beat the dragon. Lowkey speedrunning means if i die during the hardest part of the game, i lose pretty much no progress.

The video is literally just me beating the game relatively fast, and instantly getting like 3 elytras cus of sheer luck. Nothing super interesting compared to the kind of shit thats coming up.

"Early" game

Early game for me is probably not like the casual Minecraft, i pretty much start with an elytra and loot from the End cities.

Video speaks for itself mostly, i looted an Ancient city for Swift Sneak, made an xp farm, got more gear etc. all necessary to do basic stuff. Theres also a tutorial for an iron farm :DDD its very in depth and amazing! Oh and also a "stone farm" (stone generator), mob farm and yeah its still not that interesting.

The wither skeleton skull gathering compilation at the end is one of my favourite sequences ive made in a while now. Hades music is so perfect for them.

Time for farming

Hooooly shit i can barely even begin to tell you just how many farms are in this episode, its probaby best to just watch it and see for yourself.

Noteworthy is the ancient city i neutralize, you might think thats an impressive feat or that its brave. Thing is, im not brave, just fearless. Anyways like i say in the video pretty much all farms that i built are materials for a storage system somehow

Turning point

This is around the time shit hits the fan. I built a medium sized storage system that sorts out literally almost everything in the game. It features a whole bunch of sick storage tech from the storage tech discord, wired up together by myself. Right around this time, not mentioned in the video, i also switched to loading all of my farms into boxes automatically. Thats right, shulker boxes. Almost every farm i have and build load their stuff into boxes by now. This allows me to bring actual metric tons of items around without needing to load and unload everything out of shulker boxes first.

The Hole

The massive hole i made with the funny machine in the video is for a purely decorative build. The plan is to build the entire terrain from bedrock up to custom mountaintops. This is quite the task and overwhelms me constantly so i have barely worked on it.

The present

This is where the video series ends, but like you can probably tell, theres a whole lot of stuff i do for 1 video. The next video will be on its way, and it will contain 3 farms and some work on the massive building project in the hole.

If this image overwhelms you, dont worry, me too. The monster of concrete and redstone components on the left is a massive and overpowered dirt farm, that happens to also produce cobblestone, spruce logs, moss and azalea as byproducts. Designed by CUANS_FANG its more insane than i ever need it to be, which is what i strive for now. On the right side, the tower made out of moss, is a bonemeal farm, specifically Chromoss cubes by Hexatron (?). It produces enough bonemeal to keep up with the dirt farm and dumbs its overflow into shulker boxes in the storage.

The storage of this farm, shown in this image, sorts out every item. Theres a mass crafting station to turn clay balls into clay blocks, a super smelter to turn those clay blocks into terracotta and a small bone meal powered wheat farm directly fed by the bonemeal output.

Clay balls? you might ask, but the dirt farm doesnt produce those?

Thats where the clay/mud converter comes in. You can stand at the input, get fed dirt directly from the dirt farm output and place it into the converter, which pushes the dirt through the converter, turning it into mud and optionally converting it to clay. The output is send up via a water column to the central storage of the farm.

This took me like a month to put together and build, and ive used like, none of the things i got from it LMAO. But it will be useful in the future im sure (coping).

And the latest and greatest, the bamboo farm. Its ilmangos hopper minecart flying machine thing with box loader thing. Its uuh, a bit fast. Gives me the new bamboo wood really quickly tho! Dont ask me why this was the first thing i did for the new update, i havent gotten any cherry wood or armor trims LMAO, thats up next tho :).

The future

This is the latest thing that happened to the world. Next up is getting armor trims. Then ill probably be building another tree farm that lets me farm cherry and azalea as well! Will be posting stuff about it here :3

like the little bees...? i thought itd be a bee level but i havent seen more of them yet....maybe theyre tucked away in the underground level i couldnt access yet. the beastiary said they were low level grunts so i thought itd be building up to more bees. instead theres jumping mosquitos ? and the BIGGGG JUMPERS

and the big guys that are placid were weird too. why dont they do anything? its an oddly easy level but maybe its to balance out the harder spitty fliers

There is a few saving graces to my base placement. There's like four villages within spitting distance, a bunch of horses and a bunch of cool snow and ice spike biomes nearby with polar bears :D There was also a single horse right next to the pillager outpost and the second I found a saddle I ran in and stole it like a fucking Horse Heist I'm so glad he's fast or that wouldn't have ended well at all I don't think

ohhh i LOVE the ice spike biomes theyve always looked soo interesting to me ,, and also buncha funny horses n villages? so i guess you just have both one of the best places and like. a lotta awful stuff. but also i was NOT aware horse heists were an option ??? sounds fun and also a bit terrifying

also YES the ocean creeper is awful. it doesnt explode. but it does chase you and try to do damage to you. its like a pufferfish with a death wish upon you. that also gives poison 3

as an upside theres snow creepers (that are neutral mobs. they just wobble around my base and cause no harm. they also dont really explode either)

ok. so I live on a survival island. I'd say alone but I have like 20 to 30 dogs littering my house. I spend my days chopping down trees so skeletons can't hide underneath them and snipe me during the day and growing my wheat garden to fatten myself with bread. A simple life.

however, day 40, I'm getting pretty low on food. I don't leave my island typically so you can imagine why. so when a group of patrolling pillagers swam (??) onto my island and killing them resulted in receiving an ominous bottle, I had an idea.

see, if you drink an ominous bottle and walk into a village, a RAID starts. if you defeat the raid, the villagers deem you their hero and everything is dramatically discounted. also, I figured I could just get some wheat while I'm out there. enchanted stuff AND food AND being seen like a hero? count me in!

so since my island is in the middle of flat nowhere and it was getting late, i went inside and got ready. got my armor and weapon, put the bottle in my inventory (not hotbar, there's a difference) and went to bed for the night.

next morning, i set off with my locator map in my offhand. i decide i might as well fill up my map while i'm looking for a village so i start doing just that.

as i'm paddling along in my boat, I eventually come across another island much larger than my tiny little survival island. i dock my boat and get off to look around.

it's COVERED in trees. like you can't go forward more than a chunk without cutting down more leaves. this also means there is an Abundance of monsters. but i'm having fun killing monsters and the occasional cow or sheep for food. i end up accidentally falling into a cave and Nearly Fucking Dying but after crouching in a hole and eating most of my rations I fully healed and dug my way back up. ended up getting a decent amount of iron from it so . blessing in disguise?

but i got to the other side of the island. yay! i put my boat down and keep paddling.

after another while of paddling I come across a jungle island. theres two birds at the shore alongside some melons. i kill off a creeper that was trying to blow me up, mine the melon, convert them into seeds and adopt the birds. i got birds on my shoulders. i decided that was all i needed from that island and paddled on. i was satisfied. (who wouldnt be?)

i saw a village in the distance. thats my goal.

so i dock my boat once more, invade a villager house, set up a chest for my stuff and set my spawn point (my map is filled in so i dont have to worry about getting lost). after ringing the bell to get the villagers inside, i drank the ominous bottle.

after 30 seconds. the raid started.

i get thru the first wave pretty easily. i only lost half health (i was wearing a leather helmet and boots with a stone sword, bear with me) but i healed afterwards. second wave tho i got pretty low on health. so i ate more food and hid behind the iron golem.

i got super attached to it actually. it absolutely PLOWED thru the second wave and through most of the third wave. but then i watched it crumble to the ground into nothing but iron ingots. i killed off the rest of the wave, made a proper iron sword from its remains and planted its poppy.

fourth wave starts. i struggle HARD with this one (fourth wave is always the worst). i die multiple times. its ok tho cuz my spawn point is only a chunk-ish away so i can just go keep getting my stuff. i actually end up getting pretty decent iron armor and enchanted weapons from the dead pillagers.

but then the witches start coming. and the ravagers.

and this was right as the sun set.

i couldnt get to my house in time for a sleep break so i ended up having to fight through it.

at some point, i tried to run back to my house so i could eat-- and i succeeded. sorta. i closed the door in the face of a giant fucking wave of mobs.

i forgot to mention-- apparently the villagers left their fucking houses right before the raid so when i rang the bell again the pillagers ended up raiding most of their houses and killing them. so here I am with the last villager, at 2 hearts, all my stuff on the ground outside, and a healthy combo of pillagers, witches, zombies and skeletons at the door.

the villager kept staring at me like it was begging me to not open the door. but i REALLY didnt wanna let my stuff despawn cuz my map was among said stuff so if it did i was screwed. so i opened the door.

what i forgot, though, was the other two residents in that house.

i heard glass breaking as a witch threw its potions inside, followed by two shrieks.

my birds. the witch killed my birds.

absofuckinglutely losing it i ended up forgetting trying to get my iron sword and just punched thru the wave of mobs. i died so many times that i actually lost count but punch away i did. time loop type shit cuz i was corned in the house. the villager died. only i remained.

i eventually punched thru the mobs. but the wave wasnt over yet. there were still pillagers, and a ravager.

i distinctly remember yelling to myself 'VALHALLA' as I ran at them with an almost broken iron sword. i killed the last of the pillagers and a witch but the ravager was still alive.

so instead of crafting another sword i just. punched it to death. it didnt hit me once.

i got a saddle.

the wave is over. i defeated the raid.

...

but the villagers are all dead, along with my beloved birds and the golem that died protecting me. i have half a stack of emeralds, a fuck ton of enchanted stuff and food for years but everybody is dead except me. i left more destruction than protection. the village would still be alive if not for me. my birds.

was it worth it?

the sun is rising. i kill the remaining creepers and zombies (and a skeleton sitting in the moat of a villager garden. ugh). i collect the remainder of my dropped stuff and XP, get my stuff from my chest, put the map back and get back in the boat.

i paddle for a while. so long, in fact, that the sun is setting by the time i get back.

i dock my boat, climb up the hill to my house, go inside, put my stuff away and watch the sunset out of the window.

i go to bed.

If there was one thing that Tom was absolutely scared of it was you. To be more specific, you when you were upset. There were some days that just were not made for you, other days there had been something that happened and when you were mad tom was terrified.

“I always like it when you bring me tea! I think it’s sweet! I just…I just don’t want you to ever think you need to do it! I love you may you bring me tea or not now…you know I love you right?” He had scared eyes and you furrowed your brows.

“Of course.” You shrugged as you reached for your book to read he finally sighs.

“What was it? Was it the chocolate cake! I’m sorry! I didn’t know it was yours if I’m honest I thought it was Harry’s! I don’t know what I can do to make it up to you! I’ll go across town right now to the best damn bakery and have them bake you the best cake. Or if you don’t want a cake I can get you more books! More clothes or more jewl—“ he rambled and your hands run over your face.

“Why did you get up so early! You left so early w-why?” You finally snap. That was what it was, you not getting your morning kisses and cuddles as he always did. He didn’t even kiss you bye.

“What? I had an early meeting.” He says and you roll your eyes and open your book.

“Hmm,” you pretend to think “no.” With that you shut the book and roll over to your side. He looks at you in shock as you get ready to fall asleep. His mouth hung open as he stares at you, the shorts were so tiny the rose up just enough wnd you knew exactly what you were doing.

“Are you kidding?” He asks.

“Nope.” You turn off the light and close your eyes. He only stares a moment longer before laying down and wrapping his arms around you. He feels you shift under him and tries his hardest not to make any sound.

“And also I think I do want you to drive across town for that cake.” You told him and he scoffs. “Poor Tommy, maybe rethink the times you choose for meetings.”

Frustrated and scared, he falls asleep next to you. Making a mental note to never ever book meetings in the morning again.

yea no who you got is pretty much the best physical dps in the whole game right now, so you probably wont need another one for a while except for a quantum type. but yea team comps? you know the main 3 types and how they work, but theres two other ones i just mentioned: quantum and imaginary. your durandal (the blond lady) is imaginary, which means shes good againt everyone, especially good against other imaginary types and bad against quantum. quantum is the reverse of that, so good against anything, except for imaginary. team really depends on who you fight, but like in genshin, the main way to build a team would be one damage dealer and then support for them. so for your durandal, physical support valks would be best, like starlit astrologos, carole, HoS, yamabuki armors augument etc.! and that works the same for al other teams! so if you have, say, HoT, youll need lightning damage supports for her. or HoR, ice supports. the types of the support doesnt matter as much as what kind of damage they are supporting! to build a team against a specific enemy is only important if youre doing abyss to be honest. again, story stages are generally very easy. so to build a team against a specific boss, youll have to know things about the boss. you can learn about them in abyss before you fight them, in the end of the big fucking description it even shows what kind of damage works best on them, and when you choose valks, it will show a little green up arrow on their icon if theyre especially good on that stage! in fact, in abyss, it even shows a team comp button on the right side, that if you click onto, will show you the best comps on that specific stage. itll tell you how much you have of it (valks and gear), and how good they are. but yea, you will just have to learn how each enemy works, and that comes with both the story and just time played. like how youve learned probably by now that the best element against hydro shields is cryo, or hydro works great against pyro abyss lectors or whatever theyre called. its all experience. some bosses also need specific debuffs, like freezing or ignite, those also show up on their descriptions and they usually have an icon over their head when fighting them too. you can also look at what kind of debuffs and stuff your valks can do by filtering them on the left, or by clicking on one of the little icons they have next to their rank and level on the left side when choosing valks. so, team comps are usually very much set, especially now with all the very specific supports that keep coming out for specific characters, so it all depends on what type the boss is, what damage hurts them most, and if they need any sort of debuff. also if its one boss or multiple mobs, in case you need a gather valk too. hope this helps, and i answered the right question!

so i guess thats both a point FOR and AGAINST this stuff being given to the dark forest... but like, i dunno. i feel like this biome spawning next to dark forests just... makes dark forests feel way less interesting in comparison? instead of having 2 interesting-enough biomes, we could've had one super interesting biome! i guess its like they both have merit existing. i love the pale garden, because it gives us a fantasy biome in the overworld, and the vibes are special. if they give it fog, itll be a really fantastic experience but AGAIN its a... self contained experience, and like. why is that what mojang prioritizes. i dunno... still figuring out my thoughts. i can at least say that i think in terms of complexity, they did pretty well with... not overcomplicating it too much, but still giving it an interesting mechanic. i do feel like mojang "overthinks" stuff a lot, and sometimes overdesigns things to be like SUPER OMEGA DEEP AND INTERESTING. but also sometimes completely lacks any interesting stuff at all. i think the creaking is a good middleground i just... the moss. the precedents of hanging moss existing. why cant dark oak forests have that, huh??

i think the critiques ive seen that its dumb because its not USEFUL is like... i disagree. i think its fine not being "useful" like cmon its minecraft one last thing, maybe it truly would've worked better as a cave biome. then it wouldnt stand out from dark forests as much, but... then itd also... be yet another horror cave biome, which we already have. so uhh hm yeah, still developing my thoughts on this all. i love the mobs design, and i love fantasy biomes, but im conflicted about mojangs direction of developing the game. im happy for Drop releases, but im not particularly happy to see that right now we're getting... more sidequests added onto the game. at least bundles are certainly not sidequests by any manner

there is no feeling more conflicting than "god this content is genuinely high quality and well thought out, but ... why? theres other stuff to prioritize. why are you prioritizing designing minigames within minecraft?"

its a very unique vibe for a biome, and the gameplay is fun and well designed but its like. honestly mojang just go design some platformer game or something lol you love designing interesting self contained gameplay like trial chambers or the pale garden

so all in all? i dont think it deserves to be critiqued for Lacking, but i do think it shines another light towards... mangrove swamp type situations. was 1.19 a swamp update? no. it gave us a brand new cooler swamp. mojang is averse to changing old experiences to become different. nether fortresses are still the same after the nether update. mob spawner rooms are still EXACTLY the same in look and loot after tricky trials. it'd be like if no kelp or cod spawned in normal temperature oceans !! what gives!!

im just gonna say right off the bat. you know that i am not a "mojang lazy" person. doesnt mean im not critical of them. gonna give my nuanced view in this post. itll be a long one!

so... first of all, i just gotta say like, changing to having more "drop" updates instead of yearly summer updates is... thank god. i didnt wanna see mojang become gamefreak with yearly, formulaic releases.. hell, im kinda thinking. they're probably working on the big updates in the background now, while they can still keep people (and corporate people) satisfied, by delivering drops of content. and the other ideas they have? instead of being hecked over by priorities as much... they can actually just decide like "okay, we have more than a year to work on the big update. we can fit it in, so it doesnt get delayed back to the next big update" ...or, if its something small, then it wont be held up from releasing by like... waiting for the next Big Update. for example, if we had the drop releases back in 1.16, we could've had the ability to break leaves faster with hoes... waay earlier, instead of having to wait for the full nether update to drop. yknow? or, again using 1.16 as an example, if they have more ideas for the content in the Big Update, they can decide "yeah, we can put it in!" like how the allay was conceptualized for 1.16 but they didnt fit it in because well, they have more time to work on it! they can have bigger scope! more flexibility! ...but they're clearly still going for yearly key-jingling of shiny new content, i can see. like, as usual, its something new that is entirely self contained and doesnt really effect the rest of the game. its avoidable. which like, okay... i get it. i get why mojang doesnt want to make the game feel too different for people who come back to it after a while, but like. i dunno. i feel like- okay how about i actually just go over the features individually ...i appreciate the biome being a fantasy biome. ive kinda just accepted that mojang disregarded any plans to ever have non-real-life biomes in the overworld, unless they were underground like the deep dark. but nope! we can have weird white trees with freaky tree monsters!!! so, thats very nice. and the mechanics themselves seem really nice and interesting, its overall a very well put together vibe. weeping angels are overdone because theyre GREAT monster types !! theyre AWESOME!! and attaching the mob to like, having to destroy a block? thats prob the most interesting way to defeat a mob like the creaking! great gameplay and the biome has really cool hanging moss on the trees, and the moss carpets climb up blocks... but therein lies the problem -- its very self contained. its like, mojang. you just gonna.. keep developing really thoughtfully designed sidequests?? i'd like to see the main game experience updated... but alas this is a DROP and not an UPDATE, to be fair. its just like ...the new biome gets ambient sounds, which no other overworld biome has. now that sets the bar higher for updating older overworld biomes to also have that. i wouldnt have wanted it before, but now i do. same goes for like, new mobs having better animation systems, yknow? i wouldnt have wanted better animations, but now... you gotta update stuff even more , for consistency. adding so much to your plate, mojang and ... why does THIS moss carpet get to be cool and grab onto blocks?? why cant they have updated old moss carpet?? i feel like they probably WONT update it ... because ill be honest, my first thoughts were "this all couldve been in the dark oak forest" hanging moss? would look great on the trees moss blocks on the ground? would be great the creaking? yea, i think it'd be spooky as a dark oak ent! thing is the dark forest already has a pretty unique kinda vibe and playstyle to it, being a biome thats typically dark and spawns lots of mobs, and also. has lack of sight due to the big trees (1/2)
