Something i think some of the endeavor lovers don’t understand when it comes to his hate is the roles and they way its executed. especially when someone dislikes endeavor but likes villains and they go “but villain does bad thing!!” And it’s. Like, yes. Villain does bad things, they ARE a villain. It’s like, in their role. Endeavor is a hero, hes supposed to be a good and do good things because it’s literally his role. So comparing him to villains doesn’t mean shit. And him being bad in a good role isn’t bad story wise. Its realistic, its real! It happens in real life, and It can be good in stories! It makes interesting characters. But he’s treated like he’s good and we should root for him! And what I especially dislike about Endeavor is it feels like he doesn’t get full consequences for his actions. Sometimes it feels like he just gets a slap on the wrist and followed by praise. And that narrative of the story feels so shitty. Theh treat him and shoto (in certain scenes) more like a parent trying his best for time with his child and the son thats embarassed at showing affection (yknow normal teenager snit) and NOT. IDK?? A child and the man that LITERALLY ABUSED HIM FOR AROUND 10 YEARS SINCE HE WAS FIVE. WHO ABUSED HIS MOTHER AND SIBLINGS UNTIL ONE OF HIS SIBLINGS UNINTENTIONALLY KILLED THEMSELVES TRYING TO GET THAT MANS ATTENTION. And people want to defend him so hard, not just as a character, but as a person. I really don’t get people that get angry at people liking villains but love endeavor. HE IS NOT A GOOD PERSON. Just because he’s a ‘hero’ and defeats bad guys doesn’t make him any less a bad guy himself. And these are usually the same people moral high grounding villain enjoyers yet wanna defend this literal child abuser and wife beater 🍇ist????
