Colin's sexism barely made me blink an eye tbh as a gay transmasc that's just...... How a lot of gay men are. In fact I quite often find that they are More sexist than my bi or straight friends because very often they don't spend any real time with women at all and don't really "have to" consider sexism at all. Gay men definitely still benefit from upholding the patriarchy and let me tell you... They do. This isn't just a dunk on gay guys since I am one but just a reminder that queerness does not exempt you from sexism, and experiencing homophobia really doesn't mean you won't perpetuate sexism. He's not just deflecting so people won't know he's closeted, he chose to be sexist when he didn't have to be. Not when Sam was there being like.... normal (respectful). I really wish there was more talk of toxic masculinity inside of gay spaces *and how it effects people outside of those spaces* and I thought it was very interesting that Colin was exactly that. Very glad he's not babyboyified in this narrative but euggghhhhhh gays like this irl are so annoying
