If you want to get invested in some very good very dumb very handsome boys with some truly excellent music, I recommend idolish7 (the second season starts on sunday too so perfect timing!) If you want a great comedy that had me scream laughing from start to finish, try Mairimashita, iruma-kun. Literally one of the funniest shows of last year and everyone slept on it.

Thanks so much for the pep talk Emma, I really appreciate it. And everything you said is true. I know a lot of the anxiety I feel is self inflicted and that in itself can be so frustrating but it’s part of growing up and moving forward (lessons I’m still learning even in my adult life lol). 

I guess I more was feeling like, I’m not satisfied with my work but felt like I didn’t know how to improve it, like, what do I think I need to do to be happy with it?

But I really like your idea of sprint writing. I mean, that’s how I used to write all the time, I would just write out exactly what I wanted and fixed it later but now I find myself analyzing it as I go, comparing it to other things I’ve read and just hating it before I’m even done. 

Also, I noticed that I get anxiety over fleshing out an idea because there’s just so much work involved but what if nobody cares? I know for sure part of my reluctance to work hard on a piece does come from lack of feedback. It sounds petty, but it’s the truth and if I can’t be honest with myself about that I’ll never move forward. 

That’s why I loved the reminder I reblogged the other day that I need to fall in love with my own story so much that I don’t CARE if no one else ever reads it. And that’s the next step for me, I think, is latching firmly onto a few ideas I’ve had kicking around and just freaking write them. 

Thanks again for your kind words and taking the time to reach out with them. It means a lot to me and is one more reason for me to keep trying and not give up.

Headcanon: asahi is a ridiculous cuddle bug. He just needs hugs and snugs like he needs oxygen, to the point where he will slip his hands under his partners shirt to feel the warm skin of their back. He also just likes feeling their hands on him: especially when they play with his hair. Sorry to hear you had a rough week! I feel ya- I'm just sitting here, waiting to go into labor. :') it's uncomfortable

3. Who are you looking forward to seeing? - Funny you should ask. On Friday I am flying up to Maine to see @withy-windled and @therealemma-trevelyan.

13. Do you like it when people play with your hair? - Very much so, especially the hair at the back of my neck. I get all tingly and giggly lol.

26. What do you do when you wake up? - If I have work I trudge out of bed, put on my work uniform (except the chef coat, that doesn’t go on until I get to work). On my days off I usually get up, make coffee and some form of breakfast and then scroll tumblr or check my ao3.

35.  Would you rather live without TV or music? - TV cause I actually just cancelled my cable. I only use streaming services now. So really I have proven I can live without it. I would be lost without music.

37. What do you say during awkward silences? - Meow!

41. Do you believe everyone deserves a second chance? - I used to say yes to this and gave my fair share of second chances to many people. A lot of those people proved they didn’t deserve them. I guess it would have to be based on the severity of the act for me to make that decision from now on.

59. First thing you ate this morning? - Heeee!!! Ok so I have a love of breakfast sandwiches. I like to make egg, meat, and cheese sandwiches with whatever leftover meat I have on hand. So this morning I actually toasted leftover hot dog buns and put eggs, colby jack cheese, and leftover meatloaf on them and made a yummy sandwich.

107. Have you ever been on a horse? - Yes a few times when I was a kid I’ve gotten to do the state fair horse rides. Never got to experience really riding a horse which I have always wanted.

113. What was your childhood nickname? - Tiger, Tigerskins, Skinnybutt

123. Is cheating ever okay? - Cheating death is totally fine. Everything else involving cheating is probably morally questionable.

144. Dark, milk or white chocolate? - Milk chocolate and some semi-sweets. White chocolate leaves a funny residue behind and dark just ends up making my lips pucker cause it’s too bitter.

Asahi I adored the moment he appeared (that sweet shy smile and those looks omg) and the ace revival arc just sold me on the show. Daichi I started to love right around the wakunan match. I just love their personalities and their banter and they are also just... beautiful. I'm a trash person lol
