I make icons here! You may remember me as les4lesbushfire, but I deactivated that blog because I was getting harrassed for being, well, a lesbian. i will also not use the generic blue/white mlm flag. i know i have in the past, but it's always annoyed me. it's just another case of men seeing something women made for themselves and being like "BUT I WANT ONE!!!" like an overgrown toddler who can't have the coolest batman toy like little timmy does.

icons of a character that goes against their already pre-established sexuality. (example: i will not do lesbian harley quinn icons, since she is a bisexual character.)

i personally don't do bi/sapphic poison ivy icons. i am in the firm belief that she is a lesbian, but if you want to hc her otherwise, that's your perogative. i just won't make icons.

also since i'm talking about dc, i won't do icons of janet from hr. no real reason, she just pisses me off.

i do have a long list of things i won't do- but some are the mcu, harry potter, hades, hazbin hotel, helluva boss, hetalia. i do have a laundry list of media i won't do, so just ask if you're not sure.

i do ship icons, but no pedophilic/incestuous/abusive ships.

i really, really do not care abt the whole 'playersexual' thing. hc the characters how you want, i could care less. if you want, like, cait from fallout 4 on the lesbian flag, that's perfectly fine. i'll do it.

i don't necessarily have a whitelist, as i am willing to do icons of fandoms i'm unfamiliar with. though, my favorites to do are pokemon, tf2, dc, cookie run, fallout, and call of duty.

also, i can do icons of ocs! just send in pictures!

when doing aro/ace content, i use flags i've or gendernull has created. if you'd rather have the original, just lmk!

i'm an adult so i also make nsft icons- so, like, if you want soap from cod on a puppyplay flag, that's fine!

on the flipside, i do make agere content. though, it's all nonsexual. all of it. if you sexualize it, i'm beating down your door with a battering ram and then beating you with it.

like in general i think MUCH of the mcu is only as good as what a handful of v dedicated fans can churn out, it's a good sandbox, etc. i feel like if u expect groundbreaking shit from the source material you WILL be left disappointed bc s.corsese wasn't kidding when he said those movies aren't art per se but more of a 'lets pack as many seats as possible' kind of deal. they are meant to appeal to as many people as possible and that will leave a lot of it falling flat in it's mad dash to appease everyone. they're fun! they're entertaining! they don't really have to be anything else and you're not special if u dislike them.

but like i'm always SO impressed at how people in the rpc and some fic writers are able to build on that in such neat ways??? like the mcu and the mouse really hands u guys a boiled unseasoned chicken breast 90% of the time and u are like "cool I'm gonna turn this into a 4 course michelin star meal". you ARE braver and have done more for me than any US marine ever could. ily.

before the no's, here's my writing style!

so, for any people wondering, yes i do write correctly whenever im writing a fic. i do capatalize my i's and capatalize the first letter of every sentence, plus names (sometimes, unless its just not a very serious fic or oneshot then i wont pls no bullying xoxo). i just don't do all of that when im not writing, and sometimes i even do it by accident because its imprinted in my brain to write grammatically correctly. so, let me write a little paragraph about some random crap and show you guys that im not as horrible of a writer as i seem !

emily had never seen hotch in such a vulnerable state like this, holding onto lexi's cheek while she was in his lap as his tears fell onto her almost lifeless body. but before lexi could protest about how it was definitely a girl, the medics arrived in the room and took a look at her wounds before taking her out to the ambulance, hotch of course following with and going in the ambulance with her.

YEAH HELLO IM BACK YOOOOOO,,,, that was a little thing i wrote with my oc. so i only write in third person (most of the time) and that is because writing in second or first person is super hard for me?? with the amount of y/n stories i read it should be easy, but i guess not.

obviously when i have actual inspiration i will write probably 10x better than usual, whenever i dont have motivation or inspiration it feels like all my writiny abilities fall into a void (REAL, NOT CLICKBAIT)

im pretty sure it should be confirmed that evan peters is supposed to be a quicksilver, or more specifically xmen peter. namely because they wouldn’t cast evan peters unless it was just some caneo joke but they wouldn’t keep him in the series if all it was was a joke? so when i refer to peter, im talking abt evan peters’ quicksilver, and when im talking about pietro, it’s atj’s version

so here are the possibilities and theories ive seen so far including a couple of my own personal ones:

he’s nicholas scratch, aka some sort of shape shifted version of that rabbit (señor scratch) into a quicksilver that’s still alive but in a different universe. it’s possible that this power is like the skrulls in captain marvel where they have to see it to transform into that thing, so they could’ve tried to find an alive quicksilver and decided it was close enough since pietro is now unfortunately a decaying corpse.

he was pulled into the mcu/wandavision universe by either agatha or wanda. agatha most likely because she always knows what wanda is thinking (??) and thus wanted to drive a wedge between vision and wanda since she apparently knows what they were fighting about. or wanda because subconsciously she wanted her brother back i guess. either way, it can explain why peter knows a little too much to the point where it’s just suspicious. plus he’s a cheeky bastard and him being all meta and stuff kind of makes sense for his character?

a little more in depth, he was pulled in by agatha involuntary and is being mind controlled by her, explained by the purple magic when he first arrives at wanda’s house. none of his words were necessarily his own but you could say that him oddly knowing a lot about the hex was in a way telling wanda that he like obviously doesn’t know why he’s there exactly? i don’t know how to word it but for lack of a better word, it was a cry for help. after he was yeeted by wanda, he was shaken from agatha’s hold and the post credits scene in episode 7 is him being himself and scaring monica by saying “snoopers gonna snoop”. after this, it’s really just a free for all and he’s probably going to be like “hey, i don’t know why im here im from a different universe”

alternatively, he’s still being mind controlled in the credits scene and was set up as some sort of bodyguard/goon for agatha’s house/the hex? and the reason why monica’s eyes were purple was because peter did some fun little wiggly woo magic since he’s being controlled by agatha? or he just captured her somehow and is justgoing to be in leagues with agatha until he’s set free by vision

i don’t know about this ^^ though because i don’t know if it would make sense for this all powerful witch to need a bodyguard and against what? monica’s arrival wasn’t planned. if a bodyguard was really needed why didn’t quicksilver catch monica sooner i guess? like when she entered the hex? he is a speedy boy after all. but i don’t know it’s still a possibility, but personally it’s probably just my confirmation bias and hope that this peter maximoff is a good guy and is staying/leading to the multiverse thing.

he’s mephisto, just shape shifted. maybe? but agnes was controlling peter. unless she had to use her magic to make sure that he kept up this form of peter. question is, why not just use pietro if it was mephisto and he can shapeshift somehow.

i just came up with this one, maybe between the events of days of future past and apocalypse, he might have experienced extreme grief like wanda (maybe he lost his sister, either one of them, maybe that elusive other sister mentioned in the rogue cut) and made a deal with mephisto in order to get his sister back during his extreme grief. however, in turn for that he had to help agatha and he’s instead voluntarily being this bad guy. or maybe even during his time with wanda, he realized something and in the credits scene he saw the opportunity to help wanda and co.? the possibilities are endless.

nevertheless, i’m still really happy that xmen quicksilver is back since he was honestly kind of did dirty in apocalypse, dofp, and dark phoenix (didnt wwtch it but from clips ive seen he barely gets screentime)

this also does open up the possibility of the multiverse to maybe get fully incorporated into the mcu and we get to see cameos from the xmen universe and maybe even fantastic 4. but im still really excited for the possibilities that this show has to offer, especially considering that it’s the first show that is supposed to be fully canon in the mcu. now all i have to do is wait another excruciating week until episode 8

What was wrong with FFH that made you so angry?

oof okay so this is long, apologies for ranting abt old mcu & tony stark in 2021 bc I know most people won’t care but this movie made me unspeakably angry and just thinking about it is enough to make my never want to touch the mcu again.

There’s obviously general issues wrt MCU Spider-Man AND how much I completely fucking hate them keeping the blip in as a plot point instead of just having them reverse it, but the main issue with the film itself was that EDITH and the plot surrounding that was literally SO stupid both objectively and in the context of the MCU.

Tony basically left Peter these glasses which essentially would give him all of the power of Iron Man, including but not limited to: being able to spy on any citizen and have access to any of their private personal information and oh yeah, ACCIDENTALLY calling a drone strike on a bus full of teenagers. He is basically giving Peter the power to unilaterally enact justice and destruction on whoever the fuck he wants at a moment’s notice. It’s not a power anyone should have or even want, least of all a 17 year old. Except when he tries to bring up his concerns he’s dismissed and so he tries to give up the power to someone he considers more responsible but then it turns out that that is also the wrong decision because Mysterio is actually evil. And then Peter’s whole character arc over the movie is based around him stepping up to the responsibility and taking the glasses at the end, completely ignoring the fact that Peter is 100% perfectly justified in not wanting that kind of power because he’s 17 and it’s literally an insane amount of responsibility. The whole Spider-Man thing is with great power comes great responsibility and Peter actually did the mature and right thing by saying “Actually, no, I don’t think I can handle this responsibility so I can’t take this power” but that was framed as a flaw that needed to be overcome. Which is objectively a terrible plot.

And it gets even worse when you look at it wrt Tony and the whole MCU. I think there was a post I saw ages ago that explains it better but basically Tony’s character development in the MCU after his movies is just a mess, and it basically goes like:

Tony in TWS: there’s a bunch of fucked up shit that’s happened, having universal oversight and control over everything in the world to be able to take out threats before they get to catastrophe level will keep us safe, and this should be in the hands of an organisation like SHIELD.

Tony in AOU: right so it turns out that i was literally enacting HYDRA’s evil plans and Steve had to stop it. No way anyone could’ve seen that coming (apart from Steve who literally saw the fascist red flags from the very beginning, but let’s ignore that). Anyway, the ONLY reason that plan didn’t work because it was in the hands of an organisation like SHIELD which turned out to be corrupt and bad people used the perfectly good idea for nefarious purposes. However, the idea was good so to make it infallible I’m going to make the same thing but controlled by a super powerful AI.

Tony in CW: Okay so... another bust and more people died. But instead of admitting that creating Ultron was the main mistake, instead I’m gonna project my guilt about that onto the people that died while we were saving the world from Ultron and act as if that was the main issue and more oversight would’ve prevented that for some reason. And also ignore that Ultron being created mostly had nothing to do with enhanced individuals at all but with me fucking around with AI and finding out. I will somewhat reflect on the power a single individual should have but instead of making any personal changes or reflection I will instead advocate for all my teammates to be restricted even though their powers, unlike mine, are inherent to them, making it a lot worse for them because it’s literally controlling their actual bodies and how they can use them (but let’s skip past that because CW is not the main point of this and I have a lot more I could say). The point is that we should have accountability and oversight from a much less fallible body rather than taking everything into our own hands.

Tony apparently sometime before his death in Endgame: okay so ACTUALLY the solution is taking all of this great power, a lot more than even I had for most of my career, and give it to a 17 year old because I personally believe that he’s a good guy and has got what it takes. Because suddenly we’re past the needing accountability and oversight phase and into the “this random teenager from New York should hold the lives of thousands if not millions in his hands” phase. Even though I didn’t trust captain fucking america, an adult, experienced, long time superhero and soldier who literally saw the red flags in the SHIELD thing after looking at it for 2 seconds, to be able to decide where to throw his metal frisbee without UN oversight a few years ago. THIS is the ultimate solution to my ultimate question from the beginning of how to keep the world safe.

Like I hate to do Tony Stark discourse in 2021 but this was the movie that made me go “oh so they really will just have Tony do anything but it’ll be framed as good just because it’s Tony even when his actions are objectively wrong... okay.” I already felt that in CW but this was rly the last straw with the MCU for me, like it was really the movie where I was like “yeah this is all bullshit and no one in charge cares about actually making good stories.”

Fannar Playlist Breakdown

idk, I’m procrastinating so I’m gonna explain all the songs on the Fannar playlist

Immigrant Song, Led Zeppelin  basically my inspirations are showing here, Fannar’s original concept was ‘Well the MCU writers can do whatever the fuck they want with Loki so so can I’ so I pulled this one from the Thor: Ragnarok soundtrack, on a lesser note  “We come from the land of the ice and snow/From the midnight sun, where the hot springs flow/The hammer of the gods/W'ell drive our ships to new lands/To fight the horde, and sing and cry/Valhalla, I am coming!” and he’s literally from a place called The Frozen North

Bleeding Out, Imagine Dragons bleeding out at the bottom of an abyss, back mangled and painfully aware that he was about to die, a Fannar backstory jam, this one lines up with when Fannar made his warlock pact with Auril 

Monster, Lady Gaga He just vibes with this one, I think Fannar would fucking love this song

Judas, Lady Gaga Once again, I just think he vibes with this one, he just vibes with it

Fox on the Run, Sweet OH MAN,  this works on multiple counts.  Fannar starts off the campaign as a ‘fox on the run’ bc he’s like, a trickster running away, avoiding home, ALSO “I - don't wanna know your name/'Cause you don't look the same/The way you did before/Okay - you think you got a pretty face/But the rest of you is out of place/You looked alright before” works super well bc Fannar literally grew up with a different face, and he lost it bc of backstory so this would be a random person from The Frozen North talking about him.

Surrender, Cheap Trick I don’t know, I think I just got Fannar vibes from it?  A family with a really weird, vaguely dysfunctional dynamic?  The parents have weird pasts and that’s reflected in the kids?  Yeah, that checks out.

Dead and Gone, The Black Keys Early in his pact Fannar, still presumed dead by anyone who’d previously known him, and at his patron’s beck and call  “So long/Why you waiting so long?/After every single word is said/I'm feeling dead and gone”

Sinister Kid, The Black Keys Fannar, especially early on, was wildly, blatantly self-destructive, not even trying to hide it.  “A sinister kid is a kid who/Runs to meet his maker/A drop dead sprint from the day he's born/Straight into his maker's arms/And that's me, that's me/The boy with the broken halo/That's me, that's me/The devil won't let me be”

The Kids From Yesterday, My Chemical Romance idk, I don’t remember why I originally added this one.  But it’s probably just some Fannar-reflecting-on-his-past from time to time

Sleep, My Chemical Romance Admittedly, Fannar’s done some pretty shitty things, but he’s a lot harder on himself than anyone else is, “Undeserving of your sympathy 'Cause there ain't no way that I'm sorry for what I did” so it’s easier to just own it and revel in the idea that he’s a bad person who isn’t sorry than admit to anything.

Once Upon a December, Liz Callaway (Anastasia) BACKSTORY JAM!!!!!!  This is like,,,,baby Fannar, his present self is so detached from who he was as a small child that that whole part of his life doesn’t really feel real.  He knows it happened, but it’s such a 180 he can’t properly wrap his head around it.

One Way Or Another, Blondie Early on in the campaign he was being tracked down by someone, who later turned out to be his Nana Frostyears (his childhood governess, i guess i’ll call her a governess), tracking him down to bring him home to save the kingdom

Unknown Brother, The Black Keys This is more from his brother Orvar’s perspective, Orvar trying to wrap his head around what happened to his baby brother Fannar as an outsider looking in.  “Though I never met you/And we spoke not a word/I'll never forget you/Through stories that I have heard/For you unknown brother/My baby's mother's pained/Because your soul is in heaven/But your memory remains”

Death By Glamour, Toby Fox The ranger (Isorropia) and the druid/DM1 (Thrain) were talking about Fannar amongst themselves and decided that it fit him and I was inclined to agree.

Don’t Stop Me Now, Queen Fannar, a few years post-backstory, come into himself, still an impulsive bastard but he’s having fun now.

Dinner & Diatribes, Hozier Look, I’m sorry but a lot of songs are gonna be on here bc they’re horny and this is one of them.  This could be Fannar’s pov, it could be an attractive stranger interested in Fannar’s pov, it could go either way.   “Honey, this club here is stuck up/Dinner and diatribes/I knew it from the first look of/The look of mischief in your eyes”

Movement, Hozier yet another Horny Song, but this time a little more, awed by the other person bc when Fannar decides he wants to sleep with someone he goes big or goes home and sets his sights on impressive people......like a dragon  “I still watch you when you're groovin'/As if through water from the bottom of a pool/You're movin' without movin'/And when you move, I'm moved”

Blame It On The Girls, MIKA OH BOY this pretty aptly sums up Fannar’s attitude and attitudes abt various family members, this song is just, a perfect summary of Fannar, though I guess it’s more someone describing him as opposed to Fannar saying it himself  “Blame it on the girls who know what to do/Blame it on the boys who keep hitting on you/Blame it on your mother for the things she said/Blame it on your father but you know he's dead”

Burning Pile, Mother Mother sometimes Fannar’s bullshit, baggage, and mistakes catch up with him and the easiest thing to do is to torch it.  why would he ever actually deal with it fully?   “All my troubles on a burning pile/All lit up and I start to smile/If I, catch fire then I change my aim/Throw my troubles at the world again”

cherubim, serpentwithfeet ANOTHER horny song but this is specifically abt someone!  There’s a character that I have Fannar paired off with in my canon-compliant writing, Renault, the War King of Ragnas.  Who, well, Fannar started off as a consort but then it turned out that he really liked him, and he felt the same way and it’s probably the best romantic relationship of Fannar’s life so he feels a certain level of devotion to Renault.  “Boy, every time I worship you/My mouth is filled with honey/Boy, as I build your throne/I feel myself growing”

Savior, St. Vincent [lord farquaad pointing meme] horny, Fannar is more than willing to fill sexual roles for people, fulfill what other people think of him because that’s easier than having his own concrete identity, though he knows it has its limits “You dress me up in a nurse's outfit/It rides and sticks to my thighs and my hips...... Honey, I can't be your savior/Love you to the grave and farther/Honey, I am not your martyr”

Low Lays the Devil, The Veils okay, I originally put this on here bc I think it was a recommended song on a different playlist and i wanted to save it and so i saved it to Fannar’s playlist bc it fit that one best.  Overall, just a general allusion to Fannar’s fiendish heritage as a tiefling I suppose and also how he generally likes to hype people up to by proxy hype himself up   “High as the heavenly sea/Low lays the devil in me...Come lay your head on my lap/And let your hair fall back/You've got to live with yourself”

Save A Horse (Ride a Cowboy), Big & Rich Okay, I added this jokingly bc I managed to convince myself that Fannar would fucking love this song, absolutely jam out to it while he’s fucking wasted.  Also, maybe his type is ‘Cowboy’ and that’s hella valid of him.

Horns, Bryce Fox He’s a tiefling!  A tiefling with very prominent horns!  He’s gotta learn to take pride in that shit and learn how to think of them as attractive

It’s Hard to Be Humble, Mac Davis Look, Fannar knows how to hype himself up and strut and preen like the peacock he is, being humble is not a part of his persona

You’re My Best Friend, Queen I needed a song for Fannar and Isorropia.  Isorropia is his best friend (and tbh he considers her to be like a sister, though he doesn’t really expect her to feel the same way) and he feels very strongly about her.  He would kill a man for Rope.

Everybody Wants To Rule the World, Tears For Fears A pretty central even in Fannar’s backstory was his trying to take the throne of his home kingdom and he generally cares about being in control of himself and his situation, having no control over what’s happening to him is not a good time

I Don’t Know What We’re Talking About, Ninja Sex Party Okay, there’s a running thing where whenever we’re in a bathhouse or something I’ll just shout out “Fannar disassociates in the bath” which started off as a joke but then I realized Fannar doesn’t like being alone with his thoughts or his body.  He didn’t grow up with this tiefling body and as much as he can claim to be comfortable with himself, he can’t always manage to put his money where his mouth is.  There was one notable time where Fannar was completely checked out in the baths in this inn in Vulcanica and the party managed to chase a guy down into an alley and fight him, all while Fannar stayed sat in the bath.  (See also, this is why Fannar is such a promiscuous character, he’s trying to assert confidence in his body by being overtly sexual)

Catch Me Now I’m Falling, The Kinks Ya boi fell.  He notably fell into a massive fucking abyss and it would have killed him had he not made his pact with Auril

the venom movie was a lot of fun but it was very ooc a lot HOWEVER seeing some of the cut scenes and scripts you can see that it used to be actually fairly in character for the comics but a lot of scenes with eddie establishing himself as not actually the most nicest of guys (not that eddie isnt a nice guy deep down but he is a good amount fucked up with a big ol hero complex and a problem with ‘i can do no wrong” mentality sometimes) were cut and considering how the fandom for the movie treats him i can see why the cut those bits out bc i dont think movie goers would have liked him as much wich is a shame bc he is a good guy at the end of the day just fucked up

i read the first deadpool comic i got so much that the art itself is so ingrained in my mind that people have shown my just the corners of panels and ive identified them correctly

i distinctly remember the first time the woman at the book store stopped asking me for parental permission to buy the comics i was getting (12yos) because i went there so often that she just remembered who i was and that the adult would say its fine

i refuse to talk about comics with people at cons because i am gatekept or flirted with every single time no matter what and there is no in between. and yea its because i have tits. youd think that eventually theyd learn but gross comic men never do and all the others have adopted the same policy as me so the closest i come to positive comic interaction at cons is standing in the same vicinity as another chick, looking at the same section, and the kinda smiling at each other

i related to gwenpool too much when she first started and it scared/offended me so i stopped reading for a while until her character developed more and we stooped being so similar

i have spider-man bedding. i picked it out only a few months ago. its good it makes me feel cool in a very uncool way

watching spider-man as a kid made me wanna be a scientist. watching batman as a kid made me want to do martial arts. i ended up failing chemistry and falling on my face a lot instead.

i had a huge venom toy and a huge spiderman toy as a kid and while i did make them fight a lot i also made them hug just as much. i wanted them to be friends

on that note PETER IS MEAN TO THE SYMBIOTE NOW AND HE DONT EVEN HAVE A REASON NO MORE hes just such a dick about criminal reform eddie and the symbiote aint special with this- he says he believes people can be better but he really doesnt show it. he tends to think people are set in their ways and while this makes sense forthe most part considering how much hewas bullied as a kid/adult (that also contributes to his mild “i protect my own” mentality  tho at least he consciously fights that one) it stil pisses me off

10. Bill Cipher (Gravity Falls) First of all on this list is this asshole, gosh I have no idea why but there was a period of time where I absolutely loved Gravity Falls and I shipped with a human form with Dipper mostly because of the amazing art and some pretty complex fics written for the ship. It was a wild ride and honestly thinking about this phase of my life always makes me feel weird, like I liked him purely because I liked reading shippy fics starring him. 

9. Pearl (Steven Universe) This one is kinda weird too? Idk man I absolutely love Pearl’s design and the way her character is written. I’m not in loop with the SU fandom because ugh it’s not a happy place to be but I absolutely love browsing art of her. I love how she’s such a broken character for a kids show! I used to read SU meta and they’d go on and on about how she’s a shit character, an asshole towards Amethyst and toxic. But tbh, I feel like she’s just a complex character that made bad choices at times, she’s trying to get better, she’s trying to cope with the loss of Rose someone she probably loved in more ways than one and how she felt Rose chose Greg over her, and now she’s gone. I mean, she just can’t let go and I think that’s very human.

8. Pitch Black (Rise of the Guardians) Alright but this fandom was the first one I’d ever been in once I started out in tumblr. It was very cool and leaves bittersweet memories tbh, I absolutely adored the art and fics this fandom churned out, I used to ship Pitch and Jack Frost. The thing about Pitch is the fact that the fandom practically merged the movie with the lore from the original Guardians of Childhood the movie is based on. In the book, Pitch has such a tragic backstory, his name was Kozmotis Pitchinier and he was the best general of the Golden Army. After capturing all fearlings, he was designated to guard the prison of their imprisonment , he was haunted by their whispers and pleading and his only solace was his daughter, of whom he kept a photograph of in a locket. But one day, sensing his weakness, the prisoners imitated her voice and hypnotized Kozmotis to believe she was being held inside with them. Frantic, he opened the doors to release her, but was instead possessed by ten thousand Fearlings.

Sorry for the long summary but I just want people to know more abt his backstory haha.

7. Loki (MCU) I didn’t really know about Loki until I watched Thor: The Dark World in the cinema and I was instantly in love despite this movie being the absolutely worst of all the MCU movies, which looking back I’d have to agree. Loki is yet another tragic character whom I’m sure everyone already knows about. I think Loki is a vulnerable character who tries to be good, wants to be good but he just can’t, or he tries and other people just won’t accept him. He’s a frost giant and those people are considered monsters, how can he not be bitter that he’s the very thing ha’s been indoctrinated to hate and fear. He is a very complex character that the MCU practically does not do enough justice mostly because he’s portrayed as a villain in the movies. But I wouldn’t consider him a villain, more like an antihero, nobody trusts him and he doesn’t think anybody can love him either. I’ve only read a bit of his comics and I gotta say Loki deserves so much more than what he gets.

6. Dr Strange (MCU) (I’m breaking the one character per fandom rule idc) I know a shit ton of people absolutely HATE Dr Strange, and for a variety of reasons too. They hate him because Benedict Cumberbatch plays him and hating on BC is practically the new edgy on tumblr. People think Dr Strange should have been played by an american asian and all that yada plus the ancient one being whitewashed. While I agree some aspects of Dr Strange is problematic, I think people need to give it more credit, at least watch it for the cool effects that the stupidly huge amount of people worked on. Also as an asian, I can guarantee you most people outside of America doesn’t give two shits about these controversies and movies should be a source of pleasure instead of thinking about all the negative shit only. Dr Strange deserves so much more, he’s an interesting and while he does share some qualities with Tony Stark, he’s his own character with his own issues. Plus his comics are very fun to read, come on, magic in the Marvel is such an awesome concept. Fuck you haters, I just wanna have a good time with the magic man.

5. Sherlcok Holmes (BBC Sherlock) This is also one of my earliest fandoms on tumblr. Sherlock season 4 absolutely ruined it with all the queer baiting and the shitty plot. But Sherlock had always left bittersweet memories for me too. Mostly because of the absolutely amazing and complex fics written for it, I will never understand how fic authors do it but Sherlock fics were amazing and I would gladly choose these fics over canon any time. 

4. Asuka Langley Soryuu (Neon Genesis Evangelion) I have so many feelings about this bitch right here, honestly one of the most relate-able characters for me. Asuka is a very human character, she’s very proud and has emotional issues. She was considered the best of the best and was trained to be an Eva pilot since she was four because she’s a child genius. However she has a tragic backstory, her mother underwent some tests and became insane, believing that Asuka's doll was her daughter and refusing to acknowledge the real Asuka, referring to her as "that girl over there." She eventually commits suicide by hanging herself; Asuka found her body when she went to tell her the good news that she had been chosen to become an Eva pilot. She couldn’t let go that Shinji the main character was starting to become a better pilot than her despite training for months only. She suppresses a lot of her emotions and had unhealthy ways of coping. I just want her to be happy.

3. Edward Elric (Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood) Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is what I would consider the holy grail of anime tbh. Edward is just about the most selfless person out there in the fictional world of anime. I love the fact that Ed and Al started their journey off with mildly selfish reasons that is to return their body parts whom they lost to in a deal with Truth to bring back their mom which ultimately failed. In the end, Edward is willing to lose his alchemy, the very things that defines him, that started this whole mess, that is the source of his joy and misery for the sake of gaining his brother’s body back instead of selfishly using the Philosopher’s stone that’s made using human souls. I just want this shorty to be happy and I’m glad he is with that satisfying end.

2. Hitsugaya Toshiro (Bleach) The reason this guy is ranked so high in my list is mostly because, he’s been there for me since I was a smol kid, I’ve had a crush on him ever since I was 10 and I could never let go. He’s the one fictional character whom I still fallback to every time things stagnant, I love reading fics about him, he’s just so cool! He’s a child genius with a sword that can shoot ice dragons. Plus he’s always written in such a complex way in fics, Kubo missed his fucking chance by not expanding more about his character in the manga, but clearly Kubo is incompetent when it comes to plot so whatever I guess.

1. Kylo Ren (Star Wars) The Star Wars fandom or specifically the Kylux subfandom is probably the happiest plave I’ve ever been in since forever. It’s the first time I’ve ever talked to anyone at all online, I only lurked around in other fandoms but Star Wars made me able to brave the fandom and talk to people in it, I’ve met so many amazing people and read amazing fics in it, it’s mostly due to the KRB discord chat that I’m still going strong with this fandom. I absolutely love Kylo Ren and can he please crush me between his thighs. The thing that attracted me to him besides his unconventionally attractive appearance is his emotional vulnerability. Kylo has been neglected by Leia and Han as a kid and sent away to jedi school with Luke, he’s been manipulated by Snoke as a kid and Leia and Han just don’t think they can take care of him properly, they’re afraid of him and always too busy with their work, Kylo wasn’t planned, the way their relationship worked just wasn’t ideal for child rearing, Kylo was left alone with Luke, unable to understand why his parents don’t want him anymore, how he was too emotional for the jedi way. While what Kylo did was not justifiable with all that murdering, it’s not a stretch to say that he was very mush a victim of circumstances too. I related to Kylo a lot as I’d been sort of neglected as a child too, both my parents were always busy with work and I only saw them during mealtimes and before bed.
