“all jews after rome conquered jerusalem converted to christianity. there were no jews left until 1948.” (people are full ass saying this.)
then how did emperor julian write about allowing jews to rebuild the temple in the year 362CE? jews, not palestinians.
titus led the sacking of jerusalem in 70ce and then it was finalized by that fucker hadrian in 136ce. he banned us from JERUSALEM, not the rest of israel and judea and that ban was lifted by julian.
people truly twist and misinterpret the fact that christianity developed from a jewish sect. oof.

Something that really makes me feel insane about Ashton is the way a solid chunk of their arguments have always been that they’re Just A Guy. They’re nobody. They’re nothing. The gods never paid any attention to me, I don’t matter. I’m not special. And sure, with the information that was available early in the campaign, that was a reasonable conclusion for them to have drawn.
But now? When they know the powers that live inside them, powers that never have been combined before and likely never will be again? When several people have all independently pointed out how unprecedented their existence is? That basis for their argument loses all credibility. How many people on Exandria are walking around day to day with a fragment of a titan and a piece of the Luxon inside them? One. Ashton is a singularly unique being. “I’m nobody, I don’t matter,” bitch you’re the main character in a YA novel, calm down.

I understand for the sake of professionalism Falcon Developer (developer of Cattails, previously Falconstar, who also created Untold Tales) privated all of the Warriors videos off of his YouTube channel, but it really does sadden me.
He had three videos from 2019 about the *cancelled online Warriors game back in 2010-2013 and its development, and they're now considered lost media. If anyone has any information about the videos, or the forums (outside of the official one) he visited to get the screenshots of the game's concept art/information about the game itself, I'd appreciate it.
Evidence of the game and its beta testers can be found here.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And the videos can be seen in the "Popular Videos" tab at the bottom here.
*I say "cancelled," but I believe (if I'm remembering correctly, it's been 5 years) in the videos it's mentioned that the company making the game still had rights to it and couldn't give much information on it, implying that it was possibly a very early precursor to the official game on Roblox: Warrior Cats: Ultimate Edition.

Hello! I hope you're doing well and I'd like to thank you for being the rad trans uncle of Tumblr. I'm in a fuckin' crimson state that's quite unfriendly to trans people and I'm afraid I won't be able to leave until 2028 at the earliest. Might I ask if there's anything you'd recommend doing? Anywho, I hope the leaves were great where you are! Peace!
It's been weird, but I'm glad to be here. :) As for recommendations, well, while you are not in a great place for trans rights, thinking ahead towards a move a few years down the road *is* good. Stuff you should be considering:
Get your finances in order.
Start with making a budget (I like the tool YNAB), tracking your habits, and looking for places to reduce spending. I know that can mean squeezing blood from a stone, but even saving up gas money for a cross-country trip can move up your moving timeline.
You also want to start planning your moving expenses. For example, buying boxes, using a moving service, cost to service your car, calming meds for your pets, etc. Just make a spreadsheet and keep adding as you think of things. Have a rolling total and track against your savings.
Lastly, get your credit score in order. A free service like Credit Karma is fine, but as you get closer to having to apply for rent or a mortgage, sign up with each credit agency and pull your report. Get caught up on any delinquencies asap and do not miss any payments from now until you are moved - missed payments take the longest of ANYTHING to fall off your score.
If you've changed your legal name, make sure it matches with all the credit bureaus. If you feel responsible with credit, ask for a credit line increase every 6 months - that will help with your debt ratio if you are currently trying to pay down a balance. Plan a credit score timeline with a hard stop at least 2 months before you apply for a loan/rent -- after that, no more making any big purchases or applying for new cards. Try to have no more of 10% of your total credit line actually on your cards by the end of your timeline. Aka, if your line of credit is $1,000, you only want $100 on the cards.
2. Start paring down your stuff
Gt crafty hobbies? Stop adding to your stash. Stop it. Start getting rid of broken things, clothes that don't fit, stuff you don't see yourself using, or stuff that is cheaper to sell & buy at your new place, rather than pay to move. If this all feels hard, put the items you're questioning in a box now, and then open it next year and see how you feel. Don't buy anything you wouldn't want to move.
3. Start your research
Make lists of towns that look promising. See how their local government works. Check the local reddits and facebook groups to get the vibes. Make lists of "must haves" and "nice to haves" at the state, city, neighborhood, and even house level. Get an idea for what the cost of living will be in your new place. Decide what your deal-breakers will be.
4. Work on your job skills
Four years is a lot of time to improve yourself for a good salary hike. It's a lot of time to get marketable for remote jobs, which will broaden your opportunities to live where you want. If remote work interests you, start looking at job listings and note the requirements. Make a plan to be qualified within 3 years.
5. Make a bucket list of things to do in your current state
There must be some good things about your state. There were in mine. Afford yourself grace and do some fun things that you might not have the chance to do again when you move. Hang out especially with local friends and family you care about.
6. Keep an eye on what's happening wrt trans rights.
Follow trans pundits and your local trans rights orgs. Get in the habit of learning what's going down in your municipality, down to the school board level. Be prepared to have to adjust your moving timeline if shit hits the fan.
7. Stay on top of your healthcare and legal stuff
No passport yet? Apply now. Forgetful about getting your HRT renewed? Set reminders and work hard to stay on top of everything. As you get closer to moving, research healthcare options in your new home and get appointments lined up asap.
8. If you're selling & buying a house, be prepared for it to take nearly a year
Seriously, it can take forever for everything to work out. Work with realtors in your new state who specialize in remote sales & relocations. Start repairing your current place by year 3 and start packing months in advance of the final move.
tldr; Treat the next 4 years like you're at college and your degree is Getting the Hell Outta Dodge. Plan as much as you can with to-do lists and spreadsheets, with some kind of monthly goal at first, then weekly and daily goals as your move approaches. It can feel overwhelming, but knowing *now* that you are going to move means you can plan as much as possible and reduce the amount of panic-decisions.
Good luck!

also yes i think you should talk about dipcifica i love the old man yaoi as much as the next guy but i also will always crave this kind of "coming of age" love story
Glad to comply! Here are my points about why Dipcifica is canon and endgame and everything:
1) Dipper and Pacifica are a walking "enemies to friends to lovers" trope. It literally started with Dipper saying to her face he doesn't like her, what's more clichè than that? When he said it, all I could hear was "We will definitely become a thing in the future".
And guess what? After a while, Dipper changed his mind: now he doesn't think Pacifica is the worst anymore. The next step is admitting she's great, asking her out and becoming a couple.
2) "Northwest Mansion Mystery" is basically a huge Dipcifica manifesto, thanks to the introduction of more tropes like:
the characters are put into nice suits
Pacifica fixes Dipper's clothes like a good wife
these two share an adventure together - which is universally something that would strengthen the bond between two people
their daring escape ends with a hug, given out of a sincere emotional reaction
the hug is followed by some cute awkwardness (especially from Pacifica's side)
Dipper and Pacifica share a heartfelt moment in which she reveals her insecurities, something we can be 99% sure she doesn't usually do. Also because... with whom can she share them? Her parents? Her supposed friends?
Dipper changes his mind about Pacifica after understanding her a bit more (which is always the interlude for the development of romantic feelings)
Pacifica finds the strength to do the right thing, only after Dipper sacrifices himself
the episode ends with them having fun together, laughing and enjoying their time. Also, it's implied they probably spent some time after the party to clean up the mess they made - so who knows? Maybe they shared some more time together and talked a lot more.
I mean... I've seen love stories start with less than that.
3) Dipper and Pacifica have another adventure together in Lost Legends. The formula is similar to Northwest Mansion Mystery: Pacifica has an issue (caused by her shitty parents), Dipper doesn't understand what her problem is, they share a heartfelt moment in which she reveals her weakness, Dipper tells all the right things, they hug, Pacifica does the right thing.
This is another way to reconfirm what the episode in the series already told us: these two have chemistry. They are meant to be. They are a walking enemies to friends to lovers trope - with a side dish of "slow burn" too. And we all love slow-burn stories <3
But this adventure shows us something else: how things have changed since Northwest Mansion Mystery and especially how Dipper's attitude has evolved towards Pacifica. In the episode, he is still very wary of her and makes it clear multiple times that he dislikes her.
Now he says this:
Tumblr media
This is basically the Dipcifica equivalent of "I once considered him the center of my life, the sun in my galaxy", only with less toxic old men yaoi and more wholesomeness
it shows how Dipper's attitude is more mature
it implies he can and will develop romantic feelings for her. I mean, look at it: "I've noticed another side of you", "I see the real one and you're more than a pretty face"... gosh, if Pacifica hadn't fallen in love before, she definitely did after that.
it also shows Dipper's growth regarding women: my boy went from making huge, complex plans to talk to them, to lying to get random girls, to saying the truth in such a smooth way. He's great with girls when he doesn't try, he makes me so proud <3
4) Now I know what you think: great points, Bea, but does this couple have Mabel's approval stamp? Billford got it with Mabel calling Bill a clingy ex and telling him to get a crush on someone else's Grunkle. Does Dipcifica have Mabel's approval?
The answer is yes:
Tumblr media
Do I have to say anything else? I think Mabel already said anything. Dipper and Pacifica are. A. Thing.
And yes, I know what you might say: they are kids! Sure they are, but that doesn't mean there can't be anything in the future. There is time for them to grow and for these feelings to develop. What we saw in the series and in Lost Legends are the crumbs, the foundation of something bigger that can evolve in the future.
And this is a great foundation because it's plausible and stable. Dipper and Pacifica's interactions never sound forced or out of character: on the contrary, they are built in a way that conciliates both personalities and justifies their changes and evolution.
If we can easily imagine a future for them, it's because their change is organic, it works in the long run - Pacifica can easily become better and better, while she works out her issue and shows the beautiful person she is. And Dipper can easily become more and more aware of what a great girl she is and start to develop deeper feelings for her. It's not impossible to imagine. It works.
And yes, this proves again how well Hirsch developed Gravity Falls and its characters, if we can easily imagine a future for them just out of a few, well-built interactions.

u know what we’ve all pretty much crowned Drew the Hater King of All Time but we also need to pay respects to Punk for the following bc he plays a fair game: (and i use present tense bc he still does it)
-followed Drew all the way to Glasgow just to fuck with his match finish (whilst dressed as a ref) and cost him the title
-hid for an undetermined length of time under the ring (while livestreaming, no less) to crash drew’s promo and whoop his ass Looney Tunes style.
-lured Drew into a Looney Tunes style chase around an arena which resulted them in switched places where he left drew an autographed photo (for amazing cinematic and comedic effect but also with romeo and juliet vibes with one being on a balcony and the other below)
-spanked drew silly with drew’s own belt
-ofc the obvious example ruined Drew’s biggest moment at WM40 and celebrated when drew got cashed in on
-mercilessly mocking him on his instagram (making jabs about his hair, about his head wound from HIAC) (also appearing with and promoting a team that rivals Drew’s favorite soccer team)

Today on “your ship is actually VERY CANON irl”- Electric Coal (Electra/Porter)
Electric locos are ironically great as coal haulers, they’ve been used on heavy mineral trains since the early 1900s due to their power and being great at climbing hills (and capable of regenerating power going downhill).
For an early British example, the NER EF1
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For an extreme example, the Virginian Railway was a notoriously wealthy, hilly coal-hauling route that bought some absurdly large electric locomotives for dragging 9000 ton coal trains through the Appalachians
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There were also several coal power plants in the western US that used GE E60 locomotives to haul long, frequent coal trains until they shut down
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And as a bonus, a underground mine trains (including coal mines) are usually electric, usually battery powered, due to the flammable conditions and smoke being a problem in enclosed spaces

there are 100% blind spots in Andor (especially when it comes to race) that the writer’s room just kind of fails at but i think it’s possible that many of the difficulties with this episode (and more we may see in the future, i suspect) come with looming budgetary, timeline, and season constraints. like, gilroy mentioned that there were some monetary constraints and things had to be done cheaper by mid season, and you also have the fact that you now need to get four characters to a reasonable endpoint so that their appearances in future media seem like a logical progression, and also deal with everybody else in your fairly large ensemble cast in the meantime (huge issue with deciding to downsize from five seasons to two).
i think there’s a lot of reasons to critique things like cinta’s death or bix’s miraculous recovery - both of those seem like they should have been given much more weight and screen time rather than being shoehorned in for maximum Plot Twist Energy at the final moment. but there simply is none of that screen time to spare - we have to tie up luthen, kleya, perrin, leida, sculdun, lonnie, deedra, syril, wilmon, partagaz, vel and bix’s story in like six episodes. so like… yeah, of course all the characters are being thrown together in increasingly ridiculous ways, and the relationships that were painstakingly developed earlier are now getting speedrun. i don’t love it either - it leads to writing decisions that have problematic real world implications, as well as decreasing the overall quality of the show - but it at least makes some sort of sense why it’s happening.

I think at least half of my criticisms of ESO’s writing are a result of the game’s attempt to have its cake (have a chronological sequence of events and storylines) and eat it too (make almost all storylines and quests be accessible in any order). Trying to do both at once has just led to them not doing either one very well imo.
They want to have overarching stories that develop over multiple expansions, but because they want players to be able to jump into any expansion in any order, each one's main storyline has to make sense and be somewhat disconnected from the other storylines from different expansions in the same overall arc. Any side quest that relates to the main storyline needs to be understandable without knowing anything about the main storyline. And this makes it feel like the writing is often held back and the dialogue doesn't reflect that I already know what's going on.
On the other hand, they also want any expansion accessible at any time. Overall I actually like that I can go to any zone whenever as long as I own them (I'm not locked out of them until I finish previous ones or something like that) and the difficulty is relatively the same, but from a story perspective it just leads to so much timeline fuckery and, like I said, it feels like it holds them back from having actually solid conflicts and character writing.
So far, of the 2 year-long arcs I've played (Elsweyr and Skyrim), in both the main story of the bigger chapter felt so much better paced, with more tightly woven and coherent narratives/characters, while the DLC felt like we were going on a long tangent in a new conflict that was superficially connected to the story from the chapter (and then a pretty satisfying epilogue tying them together, but I don't think that detracts from my point). At the same time, I'm not sure the DLC stories would've made a lot of sense to me if I hadn't already played through the chapter. They would've been so much better if they weren't stuck making the DLCs their own thing and just embraced having them be the second part of a larger story.
Hell, I know everyone loves the Daedric War arc, but I feel like it almost had the opposite issue, where the overarching narrative felt under-developed in Morrowind and Clockwork City until it was tied together in Summerset (even then, it just wasn't satisfying to me personally. That might just be because I'm not a fan of that story though).
idk if this makes a lot of sense because I'm not good at explaining my thoughts, but it's just an observation I've been having while playing.
