I wonder how the fandom would react if… the MCU brings back Evan Peters and Michael Fassbender as Quicksilver and Magneto again… and then finally make them father and son… only for them to have the same unhealthy —fucking dysfunctional— relationship that they have in the comics.
Me personally I’d die but that’s just me ig—
#ive been thinking about this for a very long time#with deadpool and wolverine coming back#and with the mcu relying on nostalgia…#there’s a possibility they might bring back the fox xmen cast#evan peters being a fake quicksilver in wandavision caused a lot of outrage too…#but the watchers of the xmen films still increased despite the bohner thingy…#maybe including evan in there as early as possible was to give time for the audience to watch the xmen films?!?!#but then again it haunts me because what if they want to be comic accurate and make mags not like qs even in the films#hngggg#peter maximoff#quicksilver#xmen#xmen movies#erik lehnsherr#magneto#dadneto#quickson

Riverdale Season 5 Theories
So I’ve crawled out from under the rock I’ve been hiding under and discovered that there’s been some info for season 5 of Riverdale that’s been released. So far warning I’m probably going to be putting out alot of Riverdale posts, it seems my interest in the show has been reinvigorated. Seeing as some details have come out I figured I would give you my thoughts and theories on them. I did a kind of theory post previously at the end of my 4x19 review post which you can read here if you are interested and to my surprise, if these detals that have come out are accurate, then quite a few of my theories were actually on the right track. So if you would like to know my thoguhts and speculation on season 5 based on the new info then read on below the cut. Obviously there are potential spoilers for season 5.
Ok so what info has been released? Well first we had the cast calls. There were 9 (maybe 10 but I’ll get into that later) in total. Then I think it was like a day or two later we got some audition videos. There have also been a couple of little tidbits from Lili Reinhart.
I’ll start with the little tidbits from Lili. In a couple of interviews she has done we learnt two things about Riverdale. One is that the time jump is possibly going to be 7 years not 5. I personally think this is a good thing because it means that they would have had a bit of time post college to get established in their chosen careers and what not. The other thing that Lili talked about was Barchie. When asked if she had any information she could give on the future of Barchie Lili responded that she thought it was inevitable that they would have to explore the feelings that they obviously have for each other. So it does look likely that they’ll be having Barchie in a relationhsip in season 5. I’m a barchie shipper so naturally I am happy about that. I’ve said it before but I do think they need to explore those feelings whether it turns out that they are perfect together and end up as endgame or whether it ultimately doesn’t work out they need to give it a good shot because if they don’t they are going to have a hard time having a meaningful and lasting relationship with anyone because they’ll always be that what if hanging over them if that makes sense. Not sure I’ve worded that in the best way. I guess what I mean is that any relatiobship they have with other people has the potential to be ruined because of unexplored feelings flaring up anytime Barchie spend time with each other. It’s better that they give a realtionship a shot and know for sure.
Now in regards to the casting calls, the first thing I need to say is I don’t know if these casting calls are confirmed or not so we should definitely be taking them with a pinch of salt. Another reason to be cautious is that sometimes the casting calls aren’t always exactly what the role is, especially if the show runners are trying to keep some level of secrecy. For example there was a tv show I watched, Fox’s the Gifted, which was an xmen spinoff show and several cast members talked about how when the went in for their casting calls/Auditions they themselves didn’t even know who they were playing. The characters names were different on the casting call and they just gave a vague description of the characteristics of the charater. I couldn’t find all of the interviews but below is one from Amy Acker where she talks about how they were really secretive during the casting process.
Now I know they are different shows but my point is the Riverdale producers could be using a similar technique and so these casting calls and videos may not be 100% accurate. Also its worth bearing in mind that even if these are accurate and they aren’t using fake names or details at all they could still change before the show airs. So we need to bare in mind that what we are seeing right now might not be in the show when it does eventually end up on tv. All of that being said here’s what my thoughts on each of the casting calls and what I think it might mean for the show going forward.
So the first one is the character of Jessica who is Jughead’s girlfriend. This is one of the characters that had a casting video with it too with some potential script details. What seems to be clear from the casting description and video is that this relationship is not in the best of places. In the casting video the girldfriend is actually on the verge of moving out and talks about how Jughead cares more about the book he isn’t writing than her and she’s fed up with the debt collectors knocking on the door. I can see this going one of two ways. Either Jessica is going to be a very minor character who is only in one or two episodes where we are seeing the very end of their relationship and so Jughead arrives back in Riverdale with writers block, a huge amount of debt and a broken down relationship, It could just be a way of putting Jughead in the lowest possible place they can so that he is coming back to Riverdale very much disenfranchised and broken down. The snag in this theory is it does list her as a reurring character so unless after their entitial break up she then comes looking for Jughead or it could be that she is in flashbacks of the 7 years that has passed. I said in my predictions at the end of my 4x19 review that I believed that Jughead would be struggling to wrtie a book and would come back to Riverdale for inspiration. After seeing this casting call and video I’m even more sure of this. The question is whether he brings his girlfriend with him or not because the other option is that she isn’t a minor one episode character and that Jughead convinces her to give their relationship one last chance and to move to Riverdale with him and he makes promises that once in Riverdale things will be better, he’ll have the inspiration to finish his book and that’ll bring in some money so they’ll be able to pay off their debts and start a wonderful new life together. Of course I dont think this will work and ultimately their relationship will end. I could also see Jessica being manipulated into going against Jughead by possibly Hiram if he and Jughead have some kind of rivalry going on season 5 or if not him then whoever the big bad of the season is.
Another prediction I made was that I thought Veronica would return to Riverdale engaged to a rich, ambitious man. Well according to this casting call I was half right she will return in a relationship with a rich and ambitious fellow but they won’t be engaged they’ll actually be married. Like Jughead and his girlfriend it doesn’t look like this relationship is going so well. They haven’t painted a great picture of Veronica’s husband describing him as controlling and neurotic but well are any of us really surprised that Veronica ended up married to a man that from the sounds of it is just like her father? This was another one where there was also a casting video. In it we learn that they were both involved in a plane crash and that nearly killed Veronica. The interesting thing to me was in the casting video Chad came across as seeming to generally care about Veronica. He talks about how when the plane was going down he prayed that she would be the one to survive. However there seems to be some conflict between them where Chad wants to start a family together and try to have a baby whereas Veronica doesn’t seem quite so eager to try for a baby. I did think that maybe they would go with a storyline that Veronica’s injuries from the plane crash actually resulted in her being unable to have children but that she is hiding that from her husband for what ever reason whether its because she doesn’t want to disappoint him or for another reason. Of course it could also just be that she doesn’t want kids. She also claims that Chad is using the accident as an excuse to control her, So there definitely seems to be some trouble in paradise here. To be honest I’m not as sure as I was with Jughead and Jessica that this relationship will end in season 5. While not being in a great place right now Veronica and Chad seem to have a deeper relationship. I could see this realtionship lasting possible into season 6. Though it does say that Chad’s life is in danger which makes me think it might be a case of they don’t break up but that he is killed. Then we’ll see Veronica trying to work through that loss of her husband and working through that mixture of emotions because on one hand their relationship wasn’t great but at the same time he was still her husband.
The other less likely route they might take is that they might actually give her husband a redemption arc. It’s possible that they’ll make him a character that makes really horrible decisions and behaves badly this season but then in season 6 they have him getting back on the right path and making some character growth.
Another one of my predictions was that I thought Veronica while back in Riverdale might decide to try and make Le Bonne Nuit into a franchise or that it was doing poorly and she wanted to give it another kick start. This is another that I think I might potentially be half right with. Which brings me to the next casting call.
So it looks like we are going to be meeting Pop Tate’s granddaughter and that she wants to turn Pop’s into a franchise. Now correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure Veronica is the current owner of Pop’s. So it is possible that Tabitha will take her idea to Veronica and then her and Veronica will work together to turn it into a franchise. Maybe they make some deal where Tabitha can become a partner in the business if they are successful. It has listed Tabitha as a series regular so it looks like we could see quite a bit of her which I’m looking forward to she could be quite an interesting character and it looks like she has alot of ambition and drive so I could see her getting on well with Veronica.
Ok so this one caught me a little by surprise but gives us a pretty good idea of what is coming next for Archie. Where we left off in season 4 Archie was all set to go off to the Navy Academy where they had a highly competitive boxing program and had made it clear that he wanted to persue a boxing career. However from these casting calls it doesn’t seem like that is what is going to happen, instead it seems Archie is going to join the army. From what we can gather Archie will approach the Army recruitment table so there must be some kind of job fair at school or something. Officer Bradshaw gives Archie some information but stresses to him that it is a serious commitment. Now here’s the thing up unitl now Archie has been very fickle when it comes to deciding what he’s going to do with his life. He can never seem to focus on one goal and has trouble sticking to it when he does take an interest in something. First it was the whole music or football thing, then it was wrestling, then boxing, the youth center, the navy academy. So I think the army might be good for him because it is something he will have to stick to at least until his term of service is up. I said in my prediction post that the show had a problem with Archie as at the time the time jump was said to be 5 years and if Archie went to the naval academy then he would have to do the 4 years in college and then 5 years active service. Which means a 9 year period where he would be away from Riverdale that doesn’t fit in with the 5 year time jump. Him joining the army essentially solves this problem. Now I’m not an expert on the US Military but from what I understand most first term enlistments are 4 years of active duty and 2 years of inactive. This fits in a lot better with that time jump. Also again from what I understand the military also offer shorter terms of service from 2 years, 3 years, 4 years or 5 years. This gives alot more flexibilty for the show to explain why he’s no longer in the military and back in Riverdale. Which brings me to the next part of my speculation. Why is Archie back in Riverdale? Again going back to my prediction post I offered the possibilty that one way they could get Archie back to Riverdale is for him to be injured on duty. Again half right on this one. There will be an injured soldier but its Archie’s friend Eric, not Archie. The casting description talks about how Eric loses his leg and sustains third degree burns when fighting in the Army with Archie. This tells us that Archie was likely with Eric when he was injured. It is possible that Archie was also injured but not to the extent that Eric was. I have a theory that the storyline that they are going to take with Archie is one of survivor’s guilt I suppose you could call it. Archie has always been that character who wants to protect people and save them. So if his friend was injured then I could see Archie carrying alot of guilt that he didn’t save his friend from being injured. I also suspect whatever happens to cause the injury will likely have also killed some of their friends and comrades so he could also be feeling guilty about not being able to save them. This would explain why he becomes a firefighter. I suspect Eric gets injured in some kind of explosion and if that explosion happened inside a building then its highly posible that the building caught on fire and that caused even more death and injuries. This could be what drives Archie to become a firefighter because he resolves to never let anything like that happen to one of his friends again, because he doesn’t want to feel useless, he wants to be able to save people when they need saving and also to some extent to make up for not being able to save his friends, like he thinks if he can save as many people as possible then it’ll help make up for what he preceives as his failure in the army. Whatever happens it was clearly something very traumatic which is why I also think Archie will have PTSD. His friend might possibly have it too from the way they talk about him dealing with his own trauma and going down a dark path. But I do think they might use Eric to portray the kind of physical injuries war can cause and the effect that has on a person and use Archie to show how war can also cause mental injury and how that effects a person. If it is done well then I do think it is an important story to tell. I just hope they treat it with the respect and sensitivity it deserves which I am sure they will.
Another thing I want to touch on quickly is the casting call for a bus driver that takes Archie to the army. In the description they say that the bus driver stops so that Archie can say goodbye to his friends. I said that I thought Betty and Archie were going to have a really emotional kind of goodbye scene. I mentioned how whilst over the last season Betty had been faced with the possibilty of losing Jughead on a couple of occasions she’s never had to think about what it might be like to lose Archie. I also said I thought at what was going to be the end of season 4 a moment would come where Betty would be hit with the realisation that she and Archie are going to be going their seperate ways and might not see each other again. I think this will be that moment. I could see it happening like this. After they’ve all had the big explosive arguments after its revealed that Betty and Archie kissed they will all be angry at each other and not talking. But they realise that they can’t all go their seperate ways angry at the ones they have cared about the most over the last few years and so they all decide to make up. When Betty, Jughead and Veronica get to Archie’s house to patch things up they find out from his mother that he already left for the bus. The three of them race to the bus station to try and catch him before the bus leaves but just miss it and try running after it. This is when Archie notices them and begs the driver to stop the bus which the driver agrees to. Archie then gets off the bus and has one on one conversations with each of them, all very emotional and heartfelt. I also think that when Betty talks to him she will confess that she does have feelings for him but they’ll both agree that the time isn’t right for them right now. So then the core four all go off to their schools etc on ok terms, things are awkward but not hostile anymore. Now what I am going to suggest next could be a bit of a reach fuelled by the fact that I’m a barchie shipper but I do think its possible that after the trauma that causes Eric’s injury happens and Archie returns to Riverdale, Betty might hear that Archie isn’t doing so well and comes back to Riverdale to support him through it all.
So speaking of Betty I was actually really excited when I saw the audition video for this character because it seems like Betty will be coming back to Riverdale as a FBI agent which is exactly what I predicted would happen. I said that I thought she seemed to be really interested in the FBI Juniour program and thought she might continue to persue that career path. In the casting video the FBI agent doesn’t come across that well as he is first telling Betty off and then is asking her out and getting mad when she refuses. When he asks her to dinner she says that she can’t because she is meeting friends for thai. I do wonder if the friends she is meeting are Archie and maybe Eric. It could also be that this scene takes place after everyone is back in town and she is talking about Archie, Veronica and Jughead, they could be meeting up for a catch up. The desciption says that this character is recurring which as we know the characters are going to be in Riverdale makes me assume that the FBI will also be in Riverdale. The question is were they already there when Glen and Betty have the conversation about going out to the dinner or do they arrive later and Betty was actually somewhere else and not back in Riverdale yet? It’s possible that maybe the FBI decided to set up a permanent office in Riverdale as there were so many murders and other criminal activities going on. But I don’t know I guess we’ll see. None the less Glen’s character sounds really interesting it says that he’s the one that makes tough decisions when operations go haywire so I am expecting some things to go wrong. I do get the feeling that Betty is going to be struggling to follow the procedures the FBI have in place as before she just pretty much did what she wanted when it came to investigating mysteries. Now she’s is going to have to follow rules and boundaries and I think that is going to frustrate her a lot because she’ll feel like she’s not able to help as much and I do think its going to get her in hot water with her bosses a few times. The audition tape that I saw for this character might also have a clue in it as to what the next season mystery is which links into the next casting call.
Ok so not only do I think this casting call could be further evidence that Jughead is looking for inspiration for his book but as I said above it could give us a clue as too what the next Riverdale mystery is. In the script for the audition tape of Glen Scot the part of Betty starts talking about missing person cases and how she thinks they might be linked. (I’m sorry I haven’t got the videos for you, I tried looking for them again but just couldn’t find them anywhere.) But anyway in the description above it’s talking about a paranoid old man whose friends all disappeared. Now this guy thinks that it was because they were abducted by aliens. Now as wacky as Riverdale is I don’t think they are actually going to have aliens show up but you never know. I actually think there is going to be some other explaination for why these people are disappearing. What is interesting to me is the Mothman reference. For those who aren’t familiar with it the Mothman legend began in November 1966 when a gravedigger saw a mysterious winged creature that resembled a human and had glowing red eyes. Three days later in a place called Point Pleasant, two couples in a car spotted the same strange winged creature. In the next few days a further 8 sighting were reported including a report from two volunteer firefighters. This point in particular was interesting to me because we know of two firefighters (potentially volunteers) who will be in Riverdale, Archie and Eric. So my theory is that Archie and Eric are going to see some mysterious winged creature similar to that of the Mothman. The other thing that is intriguing about this legend is that many people came to believe that the Mothman was an omen of doom. This was because a year after the first sightings the town’s bridge, which was packed with cars, collapsed, killing 46 people. As time went on and the legend evolved people began to link it to other disasters including chernobyl, the mexican swine flu outbreak and the nuclear disaster of Fukushima in Japan. Because of the whole harbringer of doom part of the legend I actually think that after several of the characters see this creature some big catastrophe will happen where either alot of people die or there is a mass disappearance of some kind. Another element of the legend is that some people have also made ties between the Mothman and UFO activity which ties in with the character description where this guy is familiar with the Mothman legend and also believes aliens are responsible for his friends disappearance. I’m quite interested to see where they take this storyline if it is the one they are taking. I don’t think they will actually have supernatural creatures in the show so it is much more likely it’ll be similar to the gargoyle king where its a person that is exaggerated into a scary creature because of drugs in peoples system. They’ve spent so much time on jingle jangle and fizzle rocks that I think that its something that will continue on into season 5. I mean I’m pretty sure someone has been drugged at one point or another in pretty much every season so.
Ok so this character I’m not really sure how she is going to fit into the plot. In the audition tape for Chad, Veronica’s husband, he mentions that they were on their way to Miss Marble’s vinyard when their plane went down so its likely that this character is linked to Veronica in some way. If she is linked to Veronica then she might also be linked to Hiram as well. The description doesn’t give away alot but it does paint a picture of someone who enjoys having money and I get the sense that she is willing to go to potentially shady levels to get money. The part about using her power of persuasion makes me think that she’s going to be blackmailing people because well its Riverdale and thats how you persuade someone in the Riverdale. The thought did cross my mind that she might be using her Art Appraiser job as a front for some shadier business but we won’t know until the next season comes out.
The last casting call I’m going to talk about I want to put a very large disclaimer in front of because to be perfectly honest I am pretty sure that it’s fake. But on the off chance that it is real (highly unlikely in my opinion) I figured I’d give you my thoughts on it anyway.
So I saw a few people talking about this one. Alot of people seem to think that if it is real then this is Betty’s daughter. To be honest I can’t see that being a thing. And the reason why is firstly because of the part about the father being a mystery. Now if Betty had been intimate with Archie then I might think it more likely because that would cause some doubt over who the father could be Jughead or Archie. As it stands though if it was Betty’s daughter and she was concieved just before the time jump then obviously it would be Jughead’s so there’s no mystery there. The other reason why I doubt it could be Betty’s child is because they actually had a plotline where Alice found Betty’s birth control so we know that Betty is on birth control, I know that it can fail but I just don’t see them going that route with her especially as she was very vocal about how she didn’t want to be pregnant while in school like her mother and sister.
Ok so if this is real and it’s not Betty’s daughter then whose is it. It’s obviously not going to be Alice or at least is incredibly unlikely its going to be Alice. I personally think that it would be Polly. I mean it would definitely have that air of mystery about it. At the moment she is in a mental hospital but we don’t know where she’ll be at what would have been the end of season 4 or after the time jump. I could see it going the way of Polly hasn’t been in contact with anyone in the 7 years and no one had really heard from her and then all of a sudden she shows up with a child in tow and refuses to reveal who the father is. Most likely knowing Riverdale it’ll turn out to be Veronica’s husband’s and they’ll write in some strange way that Polly and Chad are connected. But like I said before I don’t believe that this is a real casting call I think its a fake made up by a fan. The main reason for this is because whilst I found these images on google image search the THS logo is for That Hashtag Show. If you go to their website you ca find reports for every single one of these casting calls apart from the Juliet Cooper one in fact I can’t find a even halfway official report of this casting call so I don’t think its legit at all.
So to wrap it up I want to finish with what I think might bring everyone back to riverdale. The time jump being 7 years actually knocks out two of my theories. First one was a school reunion but they don’t do 7 year reunions I’m fairly sure. The other theory I threw out was that they would again make a pact to meet up in 5 years and see how they are all doing. Again this one is no longer relevant because the time jump is seven. So that leaves only one of my theories which is everyone coming back for Choni’s wedding. Personally I am hoping it is this one. Anyway that is all for now. Thank you for reading.

Reality competition series Dancing With The Stars is returning this September with its 30th season. The star-studded cast was just announced on Good Morning America including athletes Iman Shumpert, Suni Lee, and The Miz as well as actors Martin Kove and Melora Hardin, which is just the tip of the iceberg.
RELATED: Where To Find The Season 30 Cast of Dancing With The Stars On Instagram
Though totals are combined through judges’ scoring and viewer votes, some contestants have a leg up due to their previous dance experience and celebrity status. Someone like JoJo Siwa who is popular among the Instagram youth is slated to do better than someone like Martin Kove, who is best known for his role in an ’80s film franchise.
15 Martin Kove (Actor)
Martin Kove is an actor best known for his role as John Kreese in the original Karate Kid movies and reprising his role on the popular Netflix series, Cobra Kai.
As far as dancing goes, Kove has no real experience but he does have the athleticism from playing a karate instructor. However, he will probably fare the worst on the reality series given his age (he’s the oldest contestant this season at 75 years old) and less notoriety than stars like JoJo Siwa and Suni Lee.
14 Olivia Jade (Influencer)
Olivia Jade is the daughter of actress Lori Loughlin and fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli. She was the subject of headlines last year for her parents’ role in the college admissions scandal, and prior to that, she had a rather large following on her YouTube channel.
While Olivia is certainly young and capable, she likely doesn’t stand much of a chance with the Dancing With The Stars audience. The backlash from her college admission will probably be felt, and fans might not be prone to give her any more fame, attention, and free passes than she’s already received.
13 Matt James (Bachelor Star)
Matt James was the latest lead on The Bachelor. He is also the founder of ABC Food Tours, a nonprofit for children that helps educate them on the power of exercise and healthy eating.
James doesn’t have any dance experience under his belt, but he did play football for some time, which might give him an edge from an athletic perspective. However, with the past two winners of DWTS being Bachelorette ladies, it’s safe to say that the audience might like a change of pace and a winner outside of Bachelor Nation. Additionally, James is pretty tall, likely towering over all of his possible female professional counterparts.
12 Kenya Moore (Real Housewives)
Kenya Moore has been a cast member on The Real Housewives of Atlanta since 2012 and is also an actress and model who won Miss Michigan USA as well as Miss USA in 1993.
RELATED: 10 Best Seasons Of Dancing With The Stars, Ranked
Moore will likely find fans in audience members who are Real Housewives viewers but otherwise may fade into the background of this star-studded cast. Moore will probably last until week three or four before facing elimination but will make progress in the first few weeks that gain praise from the judges.
11 Christine Chiu (Bling Empire)
Reality star Christine Chiu recently appeared on television screens through Netflix’s Bling Empire. She is co-founded Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery with her husband, Gabriel Chiu.
Chiu will likely make it past the first couple of weeks of DWTS due to her age and physique. However, due to her show being so relatively new (it debuted in January of this year), Chiu will probably be ousted due to not being as popular as the other contestants.
10 Brian Austin Green (Actor)
Brian Austin Green is an actor best known for his role as David Silver on Beverly Hills, 90210, and his on-again-off-again relationship with actress Megan Fox.
Green has no dance experience, but he does have a bit of an edge due to his current relationship status. He has been linked to DWTS professional Sharna Burgess since earlier this year, meaning the two will likely be paired together on the show. The romance of their partnership will likely get them fans and votes, but probably not the mirrorball trophy.
9 Melora Hardin (Actor)
Actress Melora Hardin is famous for her roles as Jan Levinson on The Office and Jaqueline on Freeform’s The Bold Type.
If she’s anything like her office co-star Kate Flannery (who competed on the show previously), she will do just fine among fan votes. Hardin also studied ballet as a child and starred as Baby in the CBS Dirty Dancing series that ran for one season in the late ’80s. Hardin has enough experience to make it to the middle of the competition at the very least.
8 Jimmie Allen (Country Singer)
Jimmie Allen is a country singer who has released collaborations with other artists like Noah Cyrus and Brad Paisley in addition to two of his own albums.
RELATED: 10 Dancing With The Stars Couples Who Found Romance Together
Musicians usually do decently on the reality series due to their rhythm and experience in a career-driven by music. Allen will likely be a surprise contender as he isn’t quite as well known as the other stars, but whoever his partner is could bring out his personality and dance moves that wow both the judges and the audience.
7 Mike “The Miz” Mizanin (Wrestler)
Mike Mizanin is a WWE wrestler who goes by his ring name ‘The Miz.’ He also appeared on The Real World back in the early 2000s.
The Miz is quite popular among Real World fans and those who are involved in the WWE world. He is also known for his bubbly, outgoing personality that will likely connect with viewers. He is also very obviously athletic due to his wrestling career, meaning he should adjust to the ballroom floor just fine.
6 Cody Rigsby (Peloton Instructor)
Cody Rigsby is a fitness instructor for Peloton, a service that provides workouts and wellness for subscribers.
Rigsby will be beloved by the DWTS audience for his high energy and optimism and will be a natural on the dance floor since he is already used to high-intensity workouts through Peloton. He might not make it all the way to the finals due to only really being known in the fitness world, but he could surprise everyone if his dance skills are as good as his cycling.
5 JoJo Siwa (YouTuber)
YouTuber JoJo Siwa has cultivated an entire brand from her hair bows and peace signs. She is popular among young children and is also a singer.
Siwa is a very popular celebrity among GenZ, and she was one of the first names to be leaked from the cast list. When she was younger she appeared on two seasons of Dance Moms, meaning she has dance experience already. It has also been announced that Siwa will be in the first same-sex partnership on DWTS, which could be either great for her or divisive among the conservative-leaning DWTS audience and voters.
4 Amanda Kloots (TV Personality)
Amanda Kloots is a television host of CBS’s The Talk, a former Broadway dancer, and a fitness instructor.
RELATED: 10 Best Dancing With The Stars Couples, Ranked
Kloots will likely capture the hearts of viewers with her advocacy about the Coronavirus following the death of her husband Nick Cordero last year from the disease. Her perseverance and dance experience will lead her through the season, and it would be a shocker if she didn’t make it to the semi-finals at the very least.
3 Iman Shumpert (Basketball Player)
Iman Shumpert is a professional basketball player who currently plays for the Brooklyn Nets.
Athletes tend to do well on Dancing With The Stars, like football player Rashad Jennings who won the show in 2017. If Shumpert and his professional partner mix well, they will likely lead the charge to the finals and continue to make progress bringing his moves from the basketball court to the ballroom.
2 Melanie C (Spice Girl)
Mel C, also known as ‘Sporty Spice,’ was an original member of the popular British girl group Spice Girls.
The Spice Girls were (and still are) huge, with a giant fanbase made up of people all over the world. Mel C’s appearance on the show will bring nostalgia out of viewers, and her ‘sporty’ personality and athleticism will likely skyrocket her to the finals.
1 Suni Lee (Olympian)
Suni Lee is an Olympic gymnast who recently competed in the 2020 Olympics where she won the gold medal in the all-around finals in uneven bars and got the bronze medal in the uneven bars final.
Lee is a natural athlete and one of many gymnasts to appear on the show following in the footsteps of other Olympians Shawn Johnson and Laurie Hernandez who both won their seasons. The Superhero Email Chain
A little while back, I exchanged some emails with my buddy Ian regarding the most recent superhero films. Originally I was going to post this article right before the first of the new films came out, but I got distracted. About two weeks ago, I found the file and decided that even though all of the films have been released, you can still find out what Ian and I thought about them before they were released. Here is the superhero email chain in all its glory.
Ian: Alright I am just going to give you my thoughts on all of the upcoming superhero films and put them in order with less likely to likely to flop.
1. Captain America: Civil War- This movie is the least likely to fail. Simply put Marvel has already got a major foundation. They are too big to fail at this point with any of the major avenger characters (Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, and Hulk).
2. X-men: Age of Apocalypse- I also think this is movie will not fail. Fox/Marvel has done a great job with advertising most of their movies and for the most part, they haven’t had any flops. I’m not saying they’ve all been good, but I do believe they are on the correct path. As long as they introduce some new characters and show them off a little I do not see how this movie could be a flop.
3. Deadpool- I rated this one third because I am little bit torn about this film. Ryan Reynolds, in my opinion, is not necessarily meant to play a "Badass" superhero (he bombed with Green Lantern). Although his body of work is solid I am not sure he can pull this off. HOWEVER, Deadpool is not your typical superhero and Ryan may just be the perfect actor for the roll. Also we got a sneak peek of him kind of playing Deadpool in X-men Origins (Weapon XI). Due to his ability to talk and be cocky/annoying I think he may just pull Deadpool off. With that being said I am still on the fence with this film but ultimately, I do NOT think this will flop.
4. Suicide Squad & Batman V.S Superman. – I think that these two are the most to flop and the main reason is due to the credibility of DC. I have not been blown away by any DC movies other than The Dark Knight trilogy. Don't get me wrong the trailers look incredible but I am still not sold.
Questions
Will I eat my words with my statements about DC? Which movie in your case will be most likely to flop? Which movie will most likely be a HIT?
Ryan: I generally I agree with what you've said although I have some follow ups for you on each of the movies.
Captain America: I think Disney/Marvel has found the secret to superhero movie success and as long as people don’t get sick of the genre they will be successful. Personally I love Captain America. I think Chris Evans is awesome and the movies are great. I still think Winter Soldier was better than Avengers 1 and way better than the second Avengers film. So I'm seeing this opening weekend, I'd be shocked if this failed.
X-men: Days of futures past was an awesome movie. And finally they have decided to bring out Apocalypse as a movie super villain; yes I am excited for this movie. My memories of Apocalypse are from the Saturday cartoons and it always brought all of the mutants together for epic battles so this should be great.
Deadpool: I like Ryan Reynolds and think this should be a good movie, he did a fine job in X-men Origins. But this could turn out to be a bad film. Maybe we are reaching the over-saturation point. Are there too many comic book movies?
Suicide Squad: I hope this is good. I very badly want this to be good. It’s a different type of movie. It has Anti-heroes being heroes, that’s cool. Please be a good movie. Important side note: What was the last good Will Smith Action movie?
Batman vs. Superman: I think this is a stupid movie concept. I know they face off in comic books and Batman always wins, but it seems stupid that Superman would lose. Part of me wants this movie to do well. Batman is my favorite Superhero and I like Ben Affleck and think he’s a good actor. But Superman sucks. He’s sooooo good at everything, how is he going to lose to Batman? The guy's only power is money. I know the plan is to build off of this movie and start a Justice League Franchise (too many superhero movies???) but why would Superman actually need the Justice League? Superman's sidekick should just be a normal guy who shows up and takes away kryptonite from the villains, that’s the only thing he needs help with. All that being said I liked Man of Steel but I am worried this movie is not going to be good. When my mother saw the preview she said, "That’s dumb. How can Batman fight Superman?" For a superhero movie to do well you need non-fanboys to see it, and I don’t see that happening with either DC movie.
Here is what I want to know:
How is DC going to build a Justice league? They’ve already bombed with Green Lantern. Are they going to bring out Aquaman? Is Wonder Women going to get her own movies? What would the ideal..... Ignore those questions, here is the real question. Do people really care about the Justice League? Is anyone excited about these movies? Do you care?
What is the plan with X-Men? They have screwed up the timeline of the movies and they have jumped all over the place, and they beat Wolverine like a dead horse. What X-men need to get standalone movies? Or what story line do you want to see?
I don’t like Superman, do you?
Ian: The last good Will Smith movie was I am legend btw lol. People, do care about the justice league for a couple reasons.
1. For the most part everyone knows Batman and Superman... they might be the most popular superheroes in either universe (DC or Marvel).
2. Generations- I know that my mom loves DC way more than marvel so in her book I can almost guarantee that she is excited for them.
3. I think people (non-nerds) don't even know the difference between Marvel and DC. They classify superheroes as one big group. Personally I am more a marvel fan but I would love to see Justice League be successful just to see how another superhero conglomerate will play out.
XMEN- I will admit to being biased towards X-men, they are my favorite!! I love them unconditionally and would love to see a lot more movies. But they need a Gambit movie. I think there are plans but the actor is that guy from step up (Channing Tatum)........ damn that sucks. They definitely need to stop and go in a different direction. Personally, I think there best move is to constantly introduce new characters because seeing new abilities is awesome. I agree with you on Superman. To me he is to powerful and it doesn’t seem possible that he could be defeated. People talk about Hulk vs Superman as a good battle but I would think Superman would win that fight too.
What about Ant-man vs Superman? He takes a tiny piece of kryptonite and sticks it inside his brain…BOOM done!!!
Who do you think should get their movie or story line? How could we beat Superman? What is the difference between Wonder Women and Super Girl?
Ryan: Okay, Let start with the easiest question Wonder Women vs. Super Girl: Wonder Women is the leader of the Amazons and her powers are super strength, the lasso of truth, and bracelets that deflect bullets. I think she also has an invisible plane, not sure if this counts as a power. Super Girl is Superman's cousin and depending on the source she’s either as strong, or slightly stronger than Superman. At some point Wonder Women was given the power of flight which then confuses people.
I love the X-men movies as well and Gambit was always my second favorite (Wolverine is #1). And so far they've only had Gambit in one movie, the Wolverine Origins movie. The part was played by Taylor Kitsch, and I thought he did a pretty good job. At the time, I was hoping they'd start having Gambit in more movies. But so far, no Gambit anywhere, he’s still only been in one film. And now I find out they are going to have Channing Tatum play Gambit. WTF? I am not excited about that. Nothing against Tatum, but I do not see him as a good fit for Gambit.
The one X-man who should be getting their own show is Bobby Drake the Iceman. Iceman is cool as hell, he should be next. Channing Tatum? Yuck, that just ruined my day. Who should they cast as Gambit? Who would be a better option?
I hope they don’t go with a Cyclops movie; I’ve always hated that guy.
Superman could defeat every other hero out there including the Hulk that’s why he’s so lame. Why would anyone try and fight him?
I do like your Ant-Man idea, have you seen the new Ant-man movie?
Here’s how you beat Superman.... kryptonite! If you don’t have it, then you don’t bother.
Do you think Wonder Women should get her own movie? Is Aquaman next? What other thoughts do you have about the DC universe Justice League?
Just based on the movies, what is the coolest X-men power? Which power would you choose? And which X-man has the lamest power?
Ian: To start I did not know that about Wonder Women and that is a very good point! I would say the Taylor Kitsch should play gambit, not Channing Tatum. Wonder Women should get her own movie as long as they stick with Gol Gadot, she is smoking HOT. Aquaman would be interesting, but how would they do it and would it be cheesy?
The main reason that I would want to see Justice League is to see Marvel vs DC.... probably never happen but what if???
Who are the stupidest X-men? How about the guy with the spikes that come out of his head?!? Dumb! How would that even be useful?
Also I think toad was a little stupid as well. His powers were a frog tongue and jumping, lame! Angel, the guy with the wings is somewhat lame. Sure flying would be cool but what else can he do?
Badass powers- Wolverine’s ability to heal is cool but when he gets metal claws he becomes awesome. What about Gambit and his kinetic energy!??!?!? AWESOME, anything becomes a weapon... and I love the idea of throwing playing cards. Emma Frost’s diamond skin is really cool it’s basically impenetrable. I wouldn't mind having that depending on how it works.
Same question to you, just based on the movies, what is the coolest X-men power? Which power would you choose? And which X-men have the lamest power? And if you could be one superhero who would it be and why based on style and being a badass. Here’s the ultimate superhero question, who would be your pick to save the world?
Ryan: The DC universe worries me, Superman is lame and so is everyone else except Batman. But I will give DC a chance and see how it turns out. Aquaman is by far the worst I have no idea how that’s going to work out. They are of course going to have to bring Green Lantern back again, which might be hard with one movie bomb under his belt already. I think they should go with John Stewart who was the guy from the Justice league Cartoon.
So I do have some questions about a few powers: What’s the deal with Magneto? He appears to have unlimited abilities as long as it has to do with metal. They never even really talk about if it has to be magnetic. He just always has control over it. He also has some crazy control over what he can do with it. In the most recent movie he was able to bend and flex metal to the point that it infected circuits and allowed him to control robots. How would that even work?
Wolverine's healing powers just seem to have no bounds. The dude can heal himself regardless of the injuries. It’s so insane, he’s basically immortal.
I feel Gambit would be a really cool movie guy. Why haven't they had him in every film? And Taylor would have been a solid choice. Just wait Channing will awesome and this whole chain will look stupid because we both doubted him.
I am going to blow your mind: The worst X-man is Cyclops. While his powers are okay and probably pretty effective, there is just something about him that I hate. He's the worst, he dates the coolest lady mutant, everyone thinks he’s the leader, and I just don’t get it because he’s such a freaking loser. Go away Cyclops no one likes you.
The worst power was that guy with the spikes. I checked and he is listed as a Kid Omega, but the comic book version doesn’t have any spike powers he instead has cognitive and telepathic abilities. So that appears to have been a movie creation. Don't forget about the kid from the second movie who had the power to change the channels on the TV without getting up. Which is either the worst power or best, I’d have to think about.
If I could pick any hero the answer would be Batman. It’s not even really close. Batman is freaking awesome. Wolverine and Gambit would be 2nd and 3rd.
Batman can do it all. He is the most badass hero. He has the ultimate villain in the Joker. His gadgets are awesome. Its batman! He is also the hero to whom we all could hypothetically strive to be, he doesn’t have any “powers” he just has gadgets and he’s smart. This is also the reason that I hate the Justice league. It takes the most realistic superhero, and puts him into a weird ass world with Superman and Green lantern, guys with powers from other planets.
Out of all the superhero movies which are your favorites so far?
Ian: Magneto apparently is a BEAST; you seem to be correct in that his ability is endless. To me he would be one hell of a guy to try to defeat. If you have too much iron in your body he will kill you from the inside. I cannot really explain the control over robots unless they were 90% made out of metal. On top of all that how smart is the guy... he can control 10 robots while still talking and having an in depth conversation. I think it is safe to say he is a GENIUS.
Wolverine- I think his powers are pretty unreal however from what I have heard if his head is cut CLEAR off then he will not come back. IS his SPINE MADE OUT OF THAT ONE METAL?
Gambit- I have no clue why he has not been in more movies. And I agree that maybe we will have to shut our mouths and Channing will be great haha.
Cyclops- You d0 have a good point, he is kind of a preppy prick. Like a quarterback. I agree his powers are OK.... however they seem unpredictable and hard to control... almost to the point of pointlessness.
What are my favorite superhero movies? Here is the list:
Guardians of the galaxy- Story was GREAT and I love Chris Pratt in that role. He does a great job. While the characters theoretically may be weak compared with other superheroes they are pretty cool.
League or Extraordinary Gentleman- Older DC comics movie however I thought it was great and I love those scary fairy taillish people and I loved it when I was younger, the movie the idea everything.
X-Men Last Stand- Three words: SO MANY XMEN!!
It’s hard for me to come up with some more- all the Avengers movies and Marvel characters are good in their own ways.
What are your favorite superhero movies?
Ryan: Okay, I'd like to talk about a couple of movies that are underrated or not talked about at all.
Spider-Man 3- The first two movies are really awesome and they for sure screwed up the third one, mainly because they tried to do too much. They should have made it Venom vs. Spidy movie. Instead they added in Sandman (who the hell is this guy anyways) and there was too much going on with Harry Osbourne, three villains is just too much. But this is actually a pretty okay film, it’s better than its reputation.
The Amazing Spider-man- I think this series is actually pretty good. They killed Peter Parker's love interest too soon, which made everyone mad. And now they are scrapping this and trying again with a new guy? Too much Spider-man, personally I'm starting to get sick of him.
Mystery Men- This is goofy 90's spoof movie, but it has an awesome cast headlined by Ben Stiller and Geoffrey Rush. If you haven’t seen this movie, you should.
The Hulk movie with Edward Norten - I like Mark Rufflo as the hulk, but Edward Norten did a damn good job when he took over the flaming wreck that Eric Bana left behind. It’s not that people don’t like this movie, most people didn’t watch it because the first was so bad.
The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen- I agree with you, I like this film.
Batman (1989)/Batman Returns- These have been lost to time because of the Dark Knight trilogy. This is current conversation:
-"Heath Ledger is the best joker ever."
- "Have you ever seen Jack Nicholson in Batman (1989), he was really good."
- "No."
-"Then how can you say that?"
-"Heath Ledger is the best joker ever."
People should check these two movies out, they are pretty good. Plus I like Kim Basinger.
Here is my current top 5.
1. Captain America 2
2. Guardians of the Galaxy
3. Dark Knight
4. X-men Days of future past
5. Mystery Men
Ian: I totally agree with the Spiderman comment and just getting to much of him right now. I think it’s definitely Sony trying to make a money grab. However, I will say I do like the new actor that they have playing spider man. Mainly because he looks and acts how I imagine Peter Parker would act.
Mystery Men!!! So funny I actually had to scroll down to see if I talked about mystery men as one of my top ones. I was honestly going to put in on there because it is so goofy and way out of the norm.
The first Hulk movie was bad and I do think that this turned away fans even though the second movie was better. I almost wish they would re-do it and go more into his story because I find him really interesting.
I do laugh at all the people that talk about the joker. I would say that 75% don't even know that Jack Nicholson played the joker. And that part in the restaurant when he paints everything, it’s a classic joker move.
Ryan: Well I think it’s safe to say that we are both like superheroes way too much. But this year of superhero movies should be interesting to say the least.

The Russo brothers might return to direct another Marvel Cinematic Universe movie, and here are some options for what it should be (if it doesn’t get canceled). Anthony and Joe Russo are among the most accomplished directors in the MCU’s history. They’re the only ones to direct four movies, and each one continued to raise the bar in terms of spectacle and box office earnings. Avengers: Endgame was the cherry on top of their Marvel run as it earned rave reviews and became the highest-grossing movie of all time until Avatar‘s re-release reclaimed the record.
It has been only a few years since the Russos took a break from Marvel to direct other films, such as Tom Holland’s Cherry, but their MCU return is already being discussed. The directing duo has always expressed an interest in returning to work with Marvel Studios down the road. However, there is some doubt around the Russos MCU return after Scarlett Johansson’s lawsuit against Disney for Black Widow‘s Disney+ release. This might not seem like it has anything to do with the Russos at first, but they are reportedly questioning how their next MCU movie would be released and how they would be paid. Although the Russo brothers are no strangers to making movies for streaming services, they likely received huge paydays from their Marvel movies due to them shattering box office records. They would want to be fairly compensated if their next movie debuted on Disney+ in any capacity.
Related: Why Scarlett Johansson’s Lawsuit Hurts Disney More Than It Does The MCU
The Russo brothers’ impasse with Disney about their MCU return will likely be resolved at some point, though. If the Black Widow lawsuit reaches a conclusion where Scarlett Johansson is paid what she believes she is owed, then the Russos should close their own deal to direct another Marvel movie. Reports of their possible return didn’t reveal which project could entice them to come back after Avengers: Endgame. But, there are many realistic options based on what the Russos have discussed in the past and Marvel is developing or building towards. Here’s what the Russos’ next MCU movie could be.
If there is one movie most likely to get the Russo brothers back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it would be an adaptation of Secret Wars as an upcoming event movie. There are two versions of the Secret Wars story in the comics, but both revolve around bringing characters from across the universe/multiverse together to fight on Battleworld. Jim Shooter wrote the original 12-issue series in the 1980s, and Jonathan Hickman engineered the 2015 reimagining that combined Earth-616 and the Ultimate Universe. The Russo brothers are fans of both iterations of the story and have openly discussed that a Secret Wars movie is what they would want to do next for Marvel.
The Russos returning to the MCU for Secret Wars would make a lot of sense. They are already familiar with handling a project with a massive scale, and that is necessary as Secret Wars could be even bigger than Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame. Marvel Studios wanting to put this story in their trusted hands is understandable. The Secret Wars movie‘s cast could include all current MCU heroes, many MCU villains, alternate versions of characters through the multiverse, and even bring back actors from the Fox X-Men movies or previous versions of Spider-Man. With the multiverse set to be a big part of the MCU’s future, it will only be a matter of time before Secret Wars is made as a movie. If this is what the Russos are planning to do for their MCU return, then it could happen sooner than later too.
Outside of Secret Wars, the Russos have made it quite clear they wished they could’ve used Wolverine during their previous MCU films. The possibility of them returning could allow them to be in charge of his MCU debut. There have been plenty of rumors about Marvel Studios developing a Wolverine-focused Disney+ series, but a solo movie is just as likely to happen with him first. The Russo brothers could be part of the beginning of a Wolverine movie being developed if they want to direct it. This could even give them a chance to bring Wolverine’s fight with Hulk from his comic debut, which they love, to the screen. Meanwhile, the MCU would hand them a possible new franchise and entrust them with crafting a fresh take on Wolverine that can stand apart from Hugh Jackman’s.
Related: Hugh Jackman Is Right About His MCU Wolverine Return (Why It Can’t Happen)
If a Wolverine solo project is destined for Disney+, the Russos could also potentially get their hands on the character and the full X-Men roster by doing the MCU’s first X-Men movie. Kevin Feige previously confirmed they are developing a movie with the mutants, but no details on what it will be have surfaced yet. The Russo brothers could be viewed as the safe choice in such a scenario, but Marvel won’t want the first MCU X-Men movie to be anything short of a hit. They know how to handle the team dynamic inherent in the X-Men, which could give them a chance to go slightly smaller in terms of scale while still delivering on plenty of spectacle.
If the Russos want a big event film for their MCU return and Marvel Studios isn’t ready to make Secret Wars already, Avengers vs. X-Men could be another option. The 2012 comic event was created by Jonathan Hickman, Brian Michael Bendis, Matt Fraction, Ed Brubaker, and Jason Aaron. A proper adaptation of Avengers vs. X-Men would take years of movies and Disney+ shows to get the MCU in a position to tell this tale. But, the MCU could use it as a framework to pit the Avengers against the X-Men without dealing with as much setup. The Russos already know what it takes to make a compelling movie about heroes fighting other heroes after Captain America: Civil War. Avengers vs. X-Men could be their chance to bring the new look Avengers together to square off against the first iteration of the X-Men and set them up to be allies moving forward.
The Russo brothers’ possible secret return could also be tied to the secret project reportedly in the works that will bring Chris Evans back as Captain America. Less than two years after Steve Rogers grew old with Peggy Carter at the end of Avengers: Endgame, reports surfaced that Chris Evans was in talks to make his MCU return. He and Kevin Feige have indicated that this is premature, but perhaps that’s because the Russos would direct it. Captain America was one of the main characters in all of the Russo brothers’ prior MCU movies, so them coming back tell more stories with him makes sense. It could even explain why they once teased that Chris Evans’ time as Steve Rogers wasn’t over. No matter what this secret Captain America project is about, there’s a chance Evans might only want to return if it means working with the Russo brothers again.
The Russos’ next MCU movie could also potentially be Thunderbolts. After spending so much time focusing on the biggest heroes in the MCU, this could be the opportunity for them to handle an ensemble led by some of its most prominent villains or anti-heroes. They already are familiar with possible leaders like Baron Zemo or Bucky Barnes too. Thunderbolts could even be a chance for them to tell a slightly darker story more in the vein of Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Whether the Thunderbolts team is assembled through villains taking on new identities to pose as heroes or as a more Suicide Squad-type team of reformed foes, it would be fun to see the Russo brothers take on a different type of MCU team-up movie next.
