Debbie and Nolan are the earth and the moon to me

Nolan suddenly and abruptly enters her life through pure chance (like the way the ball of rocks that crashed into the earth did)

The event forever changes both of them into the people they are today (the moon gave earth the material to create water and for life to begin and grow, maybe symbolic of how nolan gave debbie their baby mark?)

The moon is eternally in the orbit of the earth locked together by gravity

In the event that the moon is destroyed or somehow taken out of earths orbit, the earth will go through a massive change but it’ll still survive. Similar to how nolan leaving after everything caused this implosion of Debbie’s world but she manages to pick the pieces up living her life still. Despite how catastrophic it was

What happens to the moon if it’s launched from earths orbit? It’s sent into the empty cold void of space for presumably the rest of its existence unless … it happens to fall into a black hole.
