*sigh* thinking about the Servant of Two Masters again. Truffaldino would do numbers on tumblr i know it
#at least the way they were portrayed in the version i saw a few months ago that production rocks#there were three asl translators and they were actively part of the show#at one point a character goes on a long and complicated legalese rant#and at the end they took at the translators and were like “did you get all the latin? it's very important”#also truffaldino (traditionally male main lead) was played by a girl and exclusively referred to with them/them pronouns for this show#also this show had some of the dumbest but most entertaining romantic couples i've ever seen it was fantastic#and there was the dinner scene. that iconic dinner scene. truffaldino ate spaghetti off the floor#this post is probably absolutely incomprehensible to anyone unfamiliar with this play (and possibly the specific production i saw) lmao#i will say that it's like. Comedy of Errors level chaos though#anyway. i'm a theater nerd and i needed to ramble about a show i haven't seen in months#bambi's rambling
