random speculation dump for the new lim event because i'm having a brainrot—
if this is gonna be another secret swan event, this means "free" lim natsume = "free" lim HiMERU and we're probably gonna choose between team sun and team moon or something
and secret swan was:
Part A: starpro (black)
Part B: cospro (white)
free lim: newdi (black)
so what if jewel of jekyll is gonna be:
Part A: rhylin (sun)
Part B: newdi (moon)
free lim: cospro (sun)
i'm delusional let part B not be starpro

HiMERU ESY2 Center - Ephemeral Festival Story Summary & Analysis
We've all see the live posts in regards to the new HiMERU center event. Everyone's been talking about it and I want to as well because boy do I have a LOT to talk about in regards to what we know about HiMERU, what we learnt about HiMERU, and all the misinformation that managed to spread around in some places. This one will be pretty long, however I hope this will clear misinformation up and make the story easier to consume.

Posted/Last Edited - September 6th, 2024
Analysis Word Count - 3,508
Disclaimers and CW for this post are as follows;
- This is both a summary and an analysis of the story. I will somewhat briefly summarize what is happening and will add in my larger breakdowns of specifically HiMERU's actions and feelings here (as well as others if applicable/needed). - Later parts of this analysis will vaguely reference Obbligato and be talked about under the assumption there is at least a vague understanding of what happened during the event's story. If you have not read Obbligato, I highly recommend doing so. You can read the story here. - This will contain discussions and mentions of RPF and adult/minor relationships however in no regards will I be defending this. On top of this, I do not like Himekoha/Kohahime for reasons I do not think I need to get into. - Take some information with a grain of salt. At the time of writing this I am currently going off of live translations & other sources of information as no translations exist at the moment for this story. This may be edited in the future due to this. - Screenshots have been sourced from various live translations and put through Google Translate for clarity reasons and to show what I am talking about being in game. Take the direct translations with some salt because of this. - Usual disclaimers apply - see my pinned post for those. - If you would like to discuss or debate things I have come to the conclusion of, you can submit an ask!
With that in mind. Let's get started.
The opening starts out, put simply with us learning exactly what the "Pastel Bee Boys" - shortened to "PBB" - is. PBB, in short, is a nickname for Kohaku and HiMERU due to growing popularity in the idol world separate from Rinne and Niki as well as Crazy:B as a whole. Despite this growth, the growth does not stem from anything good. It unfortunately stems from a piece of Real Person Fiction - "RPF" for short - that involves the romantic and sexual pairing of HiMERU and Kohaku that goes by the same name.
Despite this fact, we need to acknowledge two big things when it comes to the existence of RPF here. The first being, this is a real thing to happen. Ensemble Stars is not new to the concept of criticizing things that happen in both idol culture and the industry itself, albeit to varying levels of success. We can very clearly tell that this is what is happening here when we see HiMERU try to shield Kohaku from what it truly is. Kohaku does not understand what exactly the PBB fad stems from, aside from the fact it exists after HiMERU told him about it as seen by the fact that he's shocked by being prompted to prove he's over the age of 18 when looking it up for himself.
Tumblr media
Afterwards, HiMERU does not seem to refer to what the PBB truly is despite seemingly knowing and continues to dance around this fact when Kohaku shows his confusion to the explanation HiMERU is reading off of the internet. This implies him trying to attempt to protect Kohaku from what he can in an attempt to be a more responsible adult for him.
We can see this in the few screenshots below.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
*Sakuragawa is referring to Kohaku here, its a machine error
The story is not in favor of this existing, as RPF is a real thing that exists and while it is uncomfortable, especially in regards to the fact that this involves a coupling of an adult with a minor, I think it was the best play here. Kohaku and HiMERU have a very complicated relationship with one another although not a bad one. So fans seeing it, not knowing HiMERU's real age that we do as the reader, and everything else *would* realistically result in something like this.
Its something you should be uncomfortable with, and something that is good to be uncomfortable with. But despite this, we need to keep in mind that showing support for this thing is NOT what the goal is here.
From here, we can figure out that the popularity from the PBB has boosted the rest of the Bees' popularity, despite most of the work they're currently getting being related to HiMERU and Kohaku. Rinne only pushes the work the that the Bees get onto HiMERU and Kohaku, continuing to mess around with the other two's source of popularity (in this case, buying a Doujinshi to poke fun at them and also to learn exactly what the PBB is too due to having his socials frozen and being unable to see for himself). This results in the two taking a job where they work with a smaller company to create a show where the two live a simple and domestic life together to keep in line with why PBB is popular and continue to ride the monkey's paw of a trend.
HiMERU does note before production though, that Kohaku reminds him of Kaname. If you ask me, I think this is partially why HiMERU, the one that chose the job the two do, went with this. It doesn't seem very "HiMERU like" to do, but it could be how he himself feels not how the idol persona feels. We know how much HiMERU cares for Kaname, and how highly of a pedestal he places his little brother on so wanting something calm and to be able to properly care for his brother in the hospital doesn't seem like much of a surprise when you think about it and has the decision make sense.
This is only emphasized by his thought after about how he asks himself if this was what he wanted with Kaname, the ability to raise him better and be a better older brother after the Reimei incident during Obbligato.
Tumblr media
After a while of the small show airing and gaining popularity, Kohaku doesn't understand the popularity still. Possibly even less due to how simple the show is when its something he simply doesn't like. On top of this fact, HiMERU has been acting slightly weird in Kohaku's eyes, possibly due to HiMERU's reasoning for doing the show. Niki does sympathize with Kohaku's criticisms with the show but despite this, he can't really find himself arguing with success.
Niki ends up criticizing things a bit more though despite this, making comparisons to what he knows better. He compares the show and fans to chefs and their customers, talking about how doing the same thing can be boring and stifling even if its what the people want. HiMERU seems to be ignoring this or not quite taking it to heart like he should. Possibly due to him not realizing he's projecting his own wants onto Kohaku? Though, that's just a guess and nothing else.
At the same time, Rinne turns out to have uploaded a video himself of his plans to sabotage the show that end up failing due to Rinne getting stuck in a box in a storage room under heavy furniture. The other three end up having to get him out of the box in the storage room after they find the video. However, I want to focus on Rinne's plans to sabotage the show.
Of course this could be chalked up the Rinne wanting to sabotage the popularity not focused on him, after all it's what he claims to be doing. Yet, I can't help but feel like his intentions are different. We know that Rinne cares a lot about the people in his life, even if he refuses to properly show it when not through his persona (though, this is an analysis for another day). Rinne bought the Doujinshi at the start of the story as a means to figure out what exactly the PBB was and why it was so popular. Combining the two facts, he was probably able to piece two and two together and want to sabotage what the PBB are doing and, in turn, their popularity. Likely for the safety of Kohaku much like HiMERU trying to shield him from what exactly PBB is. A lot of who Rinne is, is something you have to read between the lines for or else you also become someone fooled by Rinne's persona much like the other people of ES - however that isn't the focus right now.
After getting Rinne out of the box in storage, we timeskip a few weeks to one of Rinne's plans to sabotage the show. Its a roughly put together show created after annoying Ibara enough. The short of this being a search for something called the "Nagigon" which is a large creature of some sort that just so happens to be played by Nagisa himself.
Tumblr media
It's important to note that Kohaku does have more fun with this compared to the more formal show he's working on with HiMERU. Filming for the show doesn't go very far however, due to the location of the shooting being leaked and getting swarmed with fans protesting that this place isn't safe for them to record at. This whole thing only manages to back up Rinne's worries for Kohaku and HiMERU, with them giving into the demands of the fans above everything else including their safety. This only backs up my thoughts on why Rinne is trying to sabotage the show, but I digress.
After this, HiMERU and Kohaku go back to filming the domestic show they were before. Kohaku's complaints only get worse from here, not only about the show's production but also being and idol as a whole. Despite this fact, HiMERU also does not like where the PBB has led them and the rest of Crazy:B telling Kohaku to accept it like he has.
Tumblr media
Kohaku, once again, points out that this behavior is weird. HiMERU does try to listen to the fans more compared to the rest of the Bees, especially Rinne. Likely due to the fact that he doesn't 100% know what Kaname himself would do and also due to how HiMERU created the idol persona in the past. But at the same time, this is also likely due to nothing but popularity. HiMERU's goal as we know it is to keep the name "HiMERU" in the spotlight for when Kaname is healthy again and able to take the name back for himself. The sheer popularity that the PBB has is only helping his end goal, which is likely why HiMERU is acting weird. Normally, the popularity of himself follows the rest of Crazy:B but now its surged outside of the fact in a way he himself can control. It falls back on the concept of how this popularity is nothing but a monkey's paw. It's something neither of them truly like, more than likely due to the cause of it all on top of where it ended up getting them.
HiMERU is handling the pressure and stress of the popularity better than Kohaku though, as it ends up with him passing out and going to the hospital. Consequently the same one that Kaname is staying at.
At the hospital, Rinne and Niki end up staying with Kohaku as he wakes up while HiMERU is off with Kaname.
From this point on, things are going to get more wordy as the later half of the story contains more of what I want to talk about.
HiMERU notes that there's more merch around Kaname since the last time he was here, as well as the reveal that Kaname is more awake than before. He hasn't perfectly healed, and will likely be bedridden for a long time to come but he has been having a lot of improvement. The biggest of which being, that he is awake at times and seems to be requesting merch of his brother.
The full card cg shows pieces of merch in his room, the ones we can clearly make out being the Feature Scout 1 outfit poster, a poster of the Trip Album cover, and a plush of HiMERU in his Crazy:B uniform.
Tumblr media
Kaname is far from healed, with this merch not of "HiMERU" but of his brother, being comfort for him and his bouts of incoherency. Kaname and HiMERU have both relied on each other in a way. Their relationship being nothing but complicated due to how they met, discovering each other's existence and everything that happened during the events of Obbligato.
Due to all of this, Kaname seemingly being fine with HiMERU doing what he's doing while also being unable to vocalize it properly due to his current state makes sense. We don't know the specifics of Kaname's condition, leaving us to unfortunately have to fill in the gaps so most of this is a mix between speculation and an understanding of both Tojou's character.
The name HiMERU was something that felt stifling to Kaname, it was a fact he mentioned to Tatsumi. This was something HiMERU didn't know himself until the events of ESY1. HiMERU was operating under the assumptions he himself had made and still cannot back down from. If anything, this fact proves that the brothers truly don't know each other that well. They never grew up together, for one reason or another (I'll get into that later), and as such have put each other up higher than they should be. They have never seen each other's faults properly.
This is being reflected in the merch that now surrounds Kaname. Despite the name never being his, and probably understanding that it will never be his. He's okay with this. A lot of people have been under the assumption that he wouldn't like what HiMERU is doing, but that's just wrong. If anything it could be freeing for Kaname, especially after the incident. We don't know much about him now after everything, because people can change and be affected by trauma like this in different ways. But it's probably safe to assume not much has changed by his actions.
He wants the comfort of his brother, and seeing him surrounded by not only HiMERU merchandise, but also PBB items likely brings him some of that comfort when he's awake and his brother isn't there.
And at the same time, when HiMERU is visiting Kaname, he seeks out the comfort of his younger brother. We truly see how conflicted he feels during this part, asking Kaname if this is what he truly would've wanted for the idol name he now has. He asks both Kaname, and mostly himself, if this is what Kaname wants and if he is truly crafting a place for him to be when he recovers. Only backing up the idea that the two don't truly know each other but only want the best for each other.
Although, this scene can't stay for too long. HiMERU unfortunately cannot entirely vanish to stay with Kaname as much as he'd like to do so. Rinne ends up catching him in the lounge leading the two to have an interesting talk. Rinne quizzes HiMERU on where he was and why his face looks sad, eventually revealing he knows about HiMERU's secret. It's something that could've been inferred from various other stories if you ask me, but seeing it properly spelt out is interesting. On top of this, Rinne also points out HiMERU is currently a year older than his persona, comparing his age to Niki which would currently make him 19. HiMERU doesn't shoot this down or acknowledge it being correct, giving nothing but a vague response about how faking your age by a year or so is more common than one would expect. While true - it is important to note that Rinne may be right due to HiMERU's avoidance of the topic.
Tumblr media
*translation is a little broken - however it still shows Rinne saying "one year older" in reference to HiMERU
I'd argue this makes perfect sense. During the events of Obbligato, he would be about 17 or so, meaning he's still essentially a kid during this. In a way, it can make his actions make more sense when looking at it from this angle. However, I plan to dedicate an analysis to HiMERU's age sometime soon as I would like to talk about it separately and go more in depth about Obbligato and how this doesn't retcon what we know already but that isn't the focus currently.
Regardless, HiMERU ends up getting defensive and speaking in first person. Another something I deem important of note. After Rinne coming forward with the fact he knows his secret, even calling Kaname "Kannamecchi" as a nickname, HiMERU has nothing to hide. He speaks in third person to preserve his secret and be what HiMERU is supposed to be, not who HiMERU truly is. Without that secret, he's allowed to be himself. He's speaking for himself here, how he claims to not trust Rinne himself and threatens to harm him should he hurt Kaname or drag him into any sort of mess. Rinne however, takes this moment to try to drill into HiMERU that the PBB isn't good and how him being "HiMERU" isn't good either and making him act strange.
Another moment that shows how much Rinne cares so much about those around him despite his persona. Another thing I plan on talking about at some point.
HiMERU ends up calming down and asking about how Kohaku is doing, Rinne ends up turning this around on him and continues to push the idea that "HiMERU" is causing problems here and brings up how Kohaku was wrapped up in "HiMERU's" mess. This manages to be enough to get HiMERU to reflect a bit more, realizing that this all started from Kaname. The popularity was not only good for the idol name, but also seemed to be making Kaname happy with the growing merch in his hospital room. HiMERU was always skeptical about the trend, knowing about it in full and how odd it was in multiply ways. During this reflection, Kohaku walks up to the two of them. Both Kohaku and Niki were called to the lounge by Rinne, allowing them to hear at least part of the conversation the two were having including parts of HiMERU's self reflection and bits about Kaname.
This prompts the two of them to properly talk out everything going on. Neither of them are happy and only one was willing to admit it previously - HiMERU even taking a moment to remind himself and truly realize that Kohaku wasn't happy. Its a moment of selfishness we rarely see from HiMERU and one he doesn't seem to realize exists because he kept pushing the show "for the fans" when really he was also being a tad selfish with his own wants by imagining Kohaku as Kaname. Kohaku continues to talk about how he wants to show himself off more, be his own idol, instead of just listening to what the fans want like HiMERU seemingly wants to do. Niki only backs up Kohaku, expressing himself freely in the process to emphasize that people need to mix up what they're doing while also taking others into consideration. This also manages to click something in place for HiMERU, with him realizing that Kaname probably cared less about seeing the PBB and more about seeing his brother in any capacity.
This realization allows him to act more like himself again, or at least how people see him. Kohaku even feeling better after talking for a few. The two end up agreeing to put an end to the show going on and resume activity as Crazy:B as they always have, turning down Rinne's plans to go out with a bang as he normally would.
Despite this though, when Kohaku and HiMERU plan to do a live together at a festival and announce the end of doing things as a duo and go back to doing things with the rest of their unit, Rinne still manages to crash the party. Rinne, dragging Niki into his mess as usual, ends up turning it into a Crazy:B live since he didn't want just HiMERU and Kohaku enjoying the festival. Many fans end up speculating from this that Rinne forced Kohaku and HiMERU to halt PBB activity but they try to ignore that. Kohaku admits he enjoys Crazy:B for what it is, despite how hectic it can be with Rinne as a leader. HiMERU himself even recognizing that deep down this is what he was expecting, and in turn enjoying it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After everything, Kohaku and HiMERU end up going back to finish shooting the little show with Nagisa and Rinne, enjoying that more than they did recording things as the PBB. Nagisa was even enjoying it himself. HiMERU truly came out from behind the persona he built up for Kaname more by the end of this story, as he continues to do so bit by bit with each story we see him in. The others even recognize this, Kohaku especially with calling out how HiMERU did see him as a little brother.
To summarize my thoughts and add a few notes that I couldn't add in elsewhere, I think the story is very good and a solid enough commentary on how popularity as an idol can come from varying places both good and bad (comparative to other ES stories at least) and how popularity itself is a powerful thing for better or for worse. Its not perfect by any means, much like any other Ensemble Stars story, but its a lot better than I think people give it credit for. We learnt more about HiMERU than we knew previously and a handful of assumptions I've seen some people have were confirmed - myself included. It's also interesting to see HiMERU be more selfish with his wants, even if he doesn't entirely realize it.
I hope we one day see HiMERU shine through more past his few moments of speaking in first person. I would like to see his real personality outshine the idol he portrays himself as. The bits we do see in the story feel powerful to me since his emotions get too strong in regards to Kaname that he lets his guard down, especially when people know his secret. Things likely won't be changing anytime soon, but improvement is still improvement and I want to see more of that.
Regardless, thank you for making to the end of this lengthy analysis. I hope you enjoyed reading it and I hope this story can now be understood better.
a/n
- I plan on making edits to this in the future when I have written the analysis on both HiMERU's age and how Rinne shows how much he cares about people, attaching the analysis to the points needed so people can further see me prove the points I would like to as the focus is on this story specifically and I would like some place separate to talk about these specific things rather than the story as a whole. - If anything needs clarification, I messed up information or you would like me to talk about something in more detail, do not hesitate to send an ask so I can talk about it or make fixes to the post as needed. I would like for this to be accurate as possible.

honeycomb summer and niki shiina
"didnt you say the last post was your last analysis" yeah, well, i lied.
hot limit is much less a story from niki and more a story about niki. this distinction will carry throughout this post, as i think it says not only a lot about niki himself, but also the relationship between niki and rinne, which i think is a vital part of both their characterizations.
i mean, oddly enough, niki doesn't even show up much in his own center event! this is because, of course, he's trying to juggle three different things (work/cooking opportunities, idol activities, and his family name), but it does show a decent amount into his characterization. namely, niki's reluctance to ask for help (rinne acts of his own accord in hot limit, not because he's prompted), his low self esteem, and the way his illness actually affects him in his day to day life. i think its worth it to note that his low self esteem is intertwined with his chronic illness, as he specifically references himself as a buden and having to be thankful he's lasted as long as he has. (side note: the new profile for niki having survival in his skills is both aggravating and justifying to me in equal measure. he would look at his 20 years of life and go "wild how i survived that huh!" and then move on.)
ultimately, though, i think the most important part of hot limit is niki and rinne. they're central to the narrative, but more than that, hot limit makes it clear what their relationship is. there's a heavy level of devotion in their relationship, but what's particularly interesting to me is rinne's perspective about niki. not only does rinne want to fundamentally "change fate", as he absolutely hates the perspective niki currently has, but he interestingly refuses to be clear about it, except for at the end of hot limit, when he outright states it to himeru and kohaku.
Tumblr media
ive been sitting on this screenshot for months. they make me so ill.
anyway. that's not the point, my point is to talk about honeycomb summer, the song that came out with hot limit. because much in the way that hot limit is a story about niki, honeycomb summer is a song talking to niki.
there's two places in particular in the lyrics that standout as direct lines that are attempts from rinne to talk to niki. this is more than likely part of his campaign to "change fate".
Tumblr media Tumblr media
niki fucking hates talking about his issues (see: hot limit) so the first part makes sense. basically, hes a master at deflecting. laugh, smile, move on, don't elaborate further. help him.
the second part is a bit more interesting, because it's both a typical crazy:b lyric and a typical rinne amagi-ism. but under the lens of honeycomb summer, and particularly the quote at the end of hot limit, this is a direct fucking plea to niki shiina. you can want more than just to survive. it's okay to be greedy.

if u were in charge of a story what would the plot / characters be . alternatively if u were in charge of a shuffle unit who would be in it / how did it form .
niki asks izumi to pick up produce for nikis kitchen while he has something else to do. unfortunately his list was mostly obscure vegetables that izumis never heard of before and niki wont pick up the phone. he asks naru to come with him, and now they have to figure it out without getting recognized in the grocery store . they also ask midori for help at some point but even he didnt know what niki was on about. turns out niki gave him the wrong list .
or if we wanna get real crazy with it, this messed up dream i had abt a hypothetical enstars story involving madara and himeru .
for a shuffle unit , um..... rei keito kaoru kuro and koga . anzu organizes a deadmanz revival event after noticing that a lot of fans were talking about the idea, and saw it as a prime opportunity to gain some publicity. rei is ecstatic, but keito says that between their succession match performance and perfectly imperfect, a revival is unnecessary . everyone else has to convince keito to lighten up just this once . he eventually does , but only after a whole week of belligerence .

!!! user ensemblesobgswhat are your favorite enstars stories !!?
I have to think for this one, hmm... My favourite stories have to beee...
In terms of enjoyability, and attempting not to have too much character bias, not in any order. Boldened are absolute favourites!
-Daydream & Lionheart are my all time favourite pieces of ansta writing, with an emphasis on Daydream. Lionheart has at least three translations online. I'm planning on re-reading two of those again just to compare them. I love an unreliable narrator. Sena really has been Leo's living unreliable narrator the whole time he's known him, hasn't he? Blackbird was good on a writing standpoint, but felt like a desperate attempt to get people to like and be normal about Wataru & Eichi, as well as telling us what we already know. At the same time, it did provide more insight into their mentalities, at least. Clown, Crown or whatever it was called was really nice also. - Both original main stories which I think every average ansta fan should read regardless of their length, although, the ! one is certainly of it's time. EnBasic: Element, Marionette, Crossroad, Meteor Impact, Checkmate, (Sorry for no Rocket Show! we're gonna read it for my friend's birthday!) Showtime, Dragon Fruit (Note to all viewers: don't read Marionette alone & think you know anything about Ex-valkyrie. PLEASE!), Easter Night, EP:Link, Christmas Live, Starry Night Festival, Beasts, Human Comedy (people focus too much on the valkyrie side of this and ignore rabits and it is disheartening, even if I understand why, from producers of them, given that rabits is far more unpopular in comparison, unrightfully yet understandably so. But what of the rest?), Book Fair, Victoria, Liar's Idol, Rainbow, Eccentric, Pleiades Night, Wonder Game, Biblio, Blood Banquet, Butler Cafe, Shinsengumi, Bouquet of Desire, Devils, Horror Night Halloween, School Festival ☆ Tamayori's Haunted Dollhouse, uum... those are the only ones that come to mind. I've read about 2wink and ryuseitai but scatteredly. In another universe, I produce them. EnMusic: Date Plan, Motor Show, Tempest, Night Club, Conquest, Next Door, Hot Limit, Neverland, Feather Touch, Bogie Time, Merry Xmas, Antique Legend, Burning Azaleas, Shinsekai, Obbligato, Astraea's Atelier, Romantic ? Date, Myriad of Colors and Flowers, Shards of Time: Black, Cruise, Grand Slam (I know it sounds crazy. The shotabait foot fetish event. Yes. But it has so many fucking good parts, and the epilogues are some of my favourite things ever.), Portrait, Nighthead, Stormcloud FUMBLE, Poltergeist, Parallel World, Xday (best climax), Absolute (I'm reading it with my dearest friends & I like it a lot so far! But I haven't finished so I won't embolden it. Mixed feelings about Raison d'être but generally it's so good I really love it. ALTERED CHANGED MY LIFE & KILLED MY GRANDMA. Bite-sized mix of both: -Aira: Episode 1 (Idol story), Do The Norm ft. Midori & Chiaki (I love you Midori! I love Noritama), -Tsumugi: This Senior is Prone to Worrying, Switch's introduction: "episode one", (Tsumugi FS1) Blue Hour's Spinning Song, Tsumugi's FS1 4☆ Story which recently came out on Eng, the eating one, "Delicious Happiness" ft. Midori, Episode 1, 2 & 3 of his idol stories, Go Basking in The Sun 3☆ story ft. Rei & Ritsu. -Others: HiMERU stuff. Episode 1 Chiaki Idol Story, Hiiro Idol story 2 ft. Aira, Black Swan ft. Mika & Tsumugi. (Madara FS2) Fates and Feast, Natsume FS2 4☆ Story. The 3☆ where ex-fine play together, Rinne's FS1. MANY Yuuta idol stories & 4/3☆ stories, especially in relation to his growth & Rinne. I like a lot of Anzu's monologues in the novels. I love this Natsuhokke 3☆ story. I like the early idol stories in general honestly. Baah!
Fun fact, I watched the anime before reading anything. My first story after the main story was Easter Night :-) though already interested in them, it cemented my love for switchvalk & their parallels in a square or even a more convoluted shape, each pointing at each other. I really recommend people read 3 stars of their favourites, you can find them with ease if you look them up, especially if they're from popular units. There's a lot of Really Good stories I haven't read but know all the context to and just have to get to, and good stories I have read that I just haven't mentioned whether purposefully because I don't think about them that much or because they slipped out of my mind (or blended together, or I technically didn't read them and just know everything that occurs or read a livetweet thread and I don't want to say a story is my favourite when I haven't read it in full even if stuff I really love comes from it, or I have mixed feelings that are too mixed for it to be a favourite).
I really adore Ansta's writing in spite of all of it's flaws, that's why it's not easy for me to give a simple response. Thank you for the question, sweet thing!

Season: Winter
Location: Matrix Stage
Tumblr media
Hiiro: Fumu... It seems like various mysteries have been solved, but now we've been left with even more questions.
So, in the end, what did Nii-san want?
Rinne: The main objective was to satisfy the public's intellectual curiosity.
Everyone was interested in our hometown. So, I gave them the information they were looking for.
By showing a fake Amagi Village, the superficial contact point with the outside world, and dishing out some answers to their questions.
Obviously, those answers are chock-full of lies—and, y'know, they're pretty incomplete.
Still. If they get something that resembles an answer, they'll all be satisfied with it.
This time, by presenting the fake Amagi Village as the setting for Matrix, for the time being, the public will be content.
The real Amagi Village, which has been hidden for generations, will be shielded from their prying eyes.
By only seeing the superficial shell, everyone's gonna buy that it's the Amagi Village and find satisfaction in it.
Tumblr media
Rinne: Matrix was originally planned for that purpose. Initially, I intended it to be like a low-budget paranormal or travel show, buuut...
Anzu-chan's involvement blew it outta proportion for no reason.
That skilled producer responded perfectly to ES's unreasonable request and turned Matrix into a major event.
I had to scramble... Anzu-chan really brought a lot of attention to Matrix.
ES also kept sending in more and more hand-picked staff members to make the project a success.
It ended up wasting both time and effort to win over those staff through various means.
By the way, the ones I managed to persuade are now at my beck and call. They've been doing a great job following my instructions.
They snuck off to avoid being seen by you guys, then, they wore masks and some makeshift costumes to launch a surprise attack on you.
Aira: T-Those weirdos were actually staff members?
Rinne: Yeah. There were also guys from the Amagi Village who'd listen to anything I said.
To convince you lot and those watching Matrix back at home that there really was a spriting away—
I got the villagers to clear out their homes and gather here.
Look around. See those folks waving glow sticks awkwardly? They're all Amagi Village locals.
Aira: Uh-huh... But why go to such lengths to stage a spiriting away? What's the point of such a trivial setup? Why go through all the hassle?
I was really freaking scared?! I seriously thought we got caught up in some bizarre phenomenon unique to a backward village!
Rinne: Yeah, that's right. I showed them the sight they wanted to see, the one they were expecting.
Even now, we're showing this truly mysterious space as footage.
The Amagi Village was indeed a strange place where strange phenomena occurred. Those who were spirited away would end up in a mysterious mayoiga.
If you go to the Amagi Village, you will experience mystical events. And every bit of it was captured on camera.
Our panicked reactions at your disappearance, and when you stumbled into the eerily empty mansion after being spirited away.
All of it was recorded by the surveillance cameras set up all over the place. Put 'em all together, and you have a complete backward village-style paranormal phenomenon—a spiriting way.
Everyone will be satisfied in viewing such mysterious, expected footage. The Amagi Village was precisely the strange backward village they hoped for.
HiMERU: Right. Ultimately, most people won't question that the facade shown is anything but the real Amagi Village—they won't dig deeper into it?
Rinne: Yeah. Once humans get some kinda answer, they're usually satisfied and stop thinking. They rarely go any further.
And so, the truth of the Amagi Village stays hidden. While I may not be a good monarch, I should still act the part every once in a while.
Right now, ES is breaking the taboos ordained by God, impudently desecrating places once deemed off-limits.
Sooner or later, they would've come stomping into our hometown with their boots on.
And then, they'd destroy Akan-san and her family's peaceful life.
Before that could happen, before the starving monster devoured everything in its path, I threw just enough bait into its mouth to satisfy it.
That's basically the truth behind Matrix.
Tumblr media
Rinne: By capturing the fake Amagi Village on camera, ES thinks they've broken the taboos set by God. Happy with conquering even the forbidden areas.
And so, they won't invade further.
Our hometown will be protected.
For ES, it's just the fact that they broke the taboos set by God that matters.
That which used to be God's property, the idol industry—this world, they can bask in the feeling that they're in control of it.
They think it proves they're no longer at God's beck and call.
ES will be satisfied, and I get to protect the peace of the real hometown where Akan-san lives. Everyone will smile. It's a happy ending, right?
Tumblr media
HiMERU: Being dragged into such a charade is hardly tolerable from our end though, is it.
Rinne: Wasn't it nice? Didn't we all travel together, enjoying delicious food, partaking in various competitions, and having a blast?
You're gettin' paid for your work, so ain't that your reward? And if you had "fun" on top of that, it's a win-win situation ♪
So do you really got anything to complain about, soldier bees?
HiMERU: Hiiro-san. Since we're firing that tyrant, would you consider becoming our leader again?
Hiiro: Hehe. I'll politely decline.
I belong to ALKALOID. In fact, I like my position very much.
No, more than that, this is my life.
Rinne: Alright, no more questions.
I know you guys're students whose job is to study, but when you're working people—when you're idols, you've got other duties to do, don't you?
Let's sing and dance happily under the pretense of celebrating Otouto-kun's group returning safely from the spirit world ♪
Tumblr media
Rinne: No, actually, I insist it's some kinda ritual to rescue people from the spirit world, apparently passed down in our Amagi Village since ancient times!
HiMERU: That's too wishy-washy. Besides, we've been put through the wringer in many respects, so we're tired? And you're still expecting us to do something?
Rinne: It's a job, so work for your paycheck.
AnzuP, famous for always putting in too much effort, whipped up some exclusive outfits for Matrix.
So, let's change into them and have fun singing together.
For the staff who went along with our farce and the fans worldwide who watched attentively...
Let's sing happily and enjoy ourselves too.

Psssst. If you have any headcannons to spare, how do you think Crazy: B is at handshake/fan events 👀 Ever since Mika mentions a fans itabag I’ve been obsessed
OK this one wont be super long bc ill be accompanying it with doodles but, u know the drill, under read more so i dont stretch people’s dashboards out
im gonna start with rinne i think he is VERY enthusiastic. he’s so happy to be there man. like he’s usually loud and kind of obnoxious regardless but this brings it out even more, most fans eat it up bc thats just his persona now, right. if any older fans show up he gets a bit softer/quieter to accommodate for them because he trusts them.
if he notices fans being too shy/awkward he’ll try his best to hype them up and make them feel welcome i.e everybody be nice to this fan or i’ll blow this whole place up! but at the same time it’s like the second he sniffs out that they’re nervous he becomes a bit more pushy (WELL-MEANING OFC) AND IT CAN GET TO BE ALMOST SCARY… HE WILL EITHER GET SOFT AND UNDERSTANDING OR HE WILL EXPLODE ON U AND TRY TO MAKE U EXCITED WITH HIM THERES NO IN-BETWEEN… he will point out that ur nervous and ask u why that is. maybe poke a little bit of fun. obviously not enough to make you cry or whatever but enough for you to shake a little bit, so that after you leave you can look back at the pictures and memories like damn im actually glad rinne amagi helped me out of my shell
hes like an apex predator he can sense fear but instead of k wording you he forces you to do peace signs with him in photos
Tumblr media
niki like always is super friendly and welcoming. he tries his best to make fans have fun! he isn’t nearly as pushy as rinne and doesn’t really pry. he makes small talk and if he thinks you smell nice he Will point it out! he will compliment and laugh a lot and overall be very silly. 80% of any event he’s playing footsie with rinne under the table and occasionally during fan meets they’ll start play bickering both for The Bit and also because they cant go too long without doing it it sustains them.
one concerning thing about niki is that regardless of the circumstances he will always ALWAYS accept food, even though he is not supposed to. he sneaks off to eat snacks to prevent hunger pangs and if any fan catches him while offering food he will most assuredly be like oh hell ya, which is why the other guys are constantly on the look-out for him. while almost all fans do it in good faith i can imagine he’s gotten sick from at least one instance of this happening but he never learns because he cannot for the life of him turn down stuff he can eat. kohaku and rinne literally always have an eye on him to make sure his breaks stay short and to haul his ass back to the table
Tumblr media
himeru is perfect. like as a meet and greet idol he is exemplary. it’s almost scary. he gives the perfect amount of small talk, compliments you just enough, smiles the whole time. holds your hand for enough time, brushes his hair behind his ear acting all handsome, laughs at anything and everything that might be a joke….it’s like he has a mental checklist for every encounter. he studies this shit every night before an event so he has it down to a T. he makes meeting the others feel like youre talking to the teletubbies
like rinne he senses fear and while he doesnt push like rinne does it’s almost like. he’s smug about it. he knows he’s that good! HE’S SO RADIANT YOU CAN’T LOOK AT HIM FOR TOO LONG…
Tumblr media
ok lastly kohaku! kohaku i feel like would definitely try his best to copy himeru. he thinks the other two are not good examples, so partly himeru’s trying to show off because he knows kohaku is watching. being good friends with aira also has him practicing this a lot with him, too. but on his own kohakuchan is good at talking to people, slightly less good at maintaining eye contact or handshakes but he’s working on it! you can tell he’s new to it but he’s trying his best so it makes it all the more endearing.
the other three point it out a lot when they think he or the fans can’t hear. not in a malicious way theyre just happy to see kohaku’s having fun. his encounters definitely feel a little more rushed but not because he necessarily wants it to be over you can tell hes just a bit more nervous to be 1 on 1. sometimes the other guys do something stupid in the sidelines so he can get angry and have him let loose. anyways Be nice to him

You made me go horsing around so congratulations
My ideas were mostly CosPro based but
Nagisa is a Shire Horse, ya know the huge ones with flowy feathered legs that was way too good in any category so retired early and now is just vibing serving as everyone's emotional support horse but also mentor to the younger horses including Mitsuru (idk how they see each other dont ask me)
Hiyori could buy any possible horse with his family money but he fucking picked a random not so known horse(Jun) to be his
Talking about Jun, he is best at cart pulling or other weight lifting competitions though Hiyori think they're not beautiful at all
Onto the Bees, maybe all of them except Kohaku are horses
Niki is retired because he got way too hungry during any competition but oh boy Ibara considered selling Niki way too many times from the amount that horse eats but somehow Niki is even better than Nagisa to motivate other horses and as emotional support despite ocasional bickering with Rinne
HiMERU also is a quite majestic but more lean/slim horse that was great in races and other competitions but used to listen ONLY to Kaname but after the accident, HiMERU stayed without anyone to handle him until Kohaku ended around and HiMERU bonded with him instead of ignoring or being passive aggressive like he used to do with others
Seeing that Ibara decided yeah its worthy losing that race if it meant Kohaku would work for him, and by that getting HiMERU to race again
Kaname is human too but wasn't that good at horse racing relying a lot on HiMERU to win until the day Tatsumi lost control of Mayoi(or any other horse) leading to a collision mid race/practice with quite some damage on both humans with Kaname getting into coma while Tatsumi injured his leg and got amnesia of the event....only the horses remember what happened
Ritsu as Rei's horse sound so damn funny like they grew together with Ritsu being like a brother to Rei but oh boy he don't listen to Rei at all just sleeps most of the day being active at night and somehow is the only horse who learned how to open the barn door to go out for a night stroll
this is amazing i keep thinking about "only the horses remember what happened" KHDASHD IT'S SENDING ME
I really like the idea of Nagisa as a shire horse ! I was actually thinking of redesigning him (from my first drawing) into one !! I think most of my horse designs severely lack some shire horses ^__^;; here are some conceptual sketches i had of him!
Tumblr media
plus i absolutely ADORE the idea of Niki just being a silly little hungy horse !!
Also Ritsu as a horse is an idea i couldve never thought of myself O__O i just see him as like a silly kitty cat but the concept of Ritsu horse is ruminating in my mind

hate this guy. What is he doing. My thoughts on whatever the hell is going on with him and HiMERU as a whole below. I formally apologize if this doesn't make sense because i think i was actually getting more and more delirious while writing it. At some point, i had a dream with HiMERU in it and he died to the hand of his own clone.
I know that HiMERU(oreMERU) decided to replace his brother in the hopes of being able to preserve his image, his dream, and to not let him disappear into obscurity. It's a noble effort, but at the same time it creates so many problems it's incredible. It's something that's been bugging me on and off for a while now.
For one, kaname is in a coma. I'm not sure if he has the slightest clue as to what's been going on. The idea was that when he recovered, he would just fit back into his place that oreMERU was holding for him, but who knows if that's what kaname really wanted, and who knows if he'd actually be able to do that. I'm thinking about this and so..... He basically has a whole life that he has no idea about?
I would say the current HiMERU is.... I guess "not real" in the sense of it's not actually either one of them. Let me explain: kaname, in a way doesn't exist because whatever personality he had prior to being hospitalized has effectively been replaced? It might be oreMERU emulating him, but it's not the real kaname. That also means that because he's replacing his brother, oreMERU doesn't exist either. He's taken on a different name, hidden any kind of personal information about him, and has abandoned his true self entirely for the sake of kaname. Whatever things he does, or people he makes friends with, it's not him, but HiMERU (kaname). (theoretically)
He speaks in the third person to i guess distance "himself" from "HiMERU", but that suggests even more issues. He doesn't have his own "free will" ? He hates tatsumi who was actually a friend of kaname, but because oreMERU doesn't exist, he has to pretend to still be friends. His likes, dislikes, hobbies..... they're all kaname's (i'm pretty sure they are, right?). Everything he does is the actions of someone else, and not himself. If he wanted to do something that wouldn't match the image of HiMERU, he wouldn't be able to. He had a moment where he had to choose between "his" past as HiMERU, and his new future with Crazy:B, and he ended up choosing the latter because that wouldn't be what HiMERU would do.
That's an issue with how he interacts with others as well, since a lot of the time, he's acting as HiMERU and not his true self? Well, in public anyways. I think the members of Crazy:B are closer to his true self than someone like Tatsumi though. If there's one group of people he'd be able to trust, it would be them, (hopefully?) since they didn't know him previously. (Valkyrie just knows his secret, apparently. Shu literally threatened to cut off kaname's life support. )
I think at times oreMERU feels a certain amount of guilt for being able to live freely and have fun as HiMERU? "He" isn't supposed to be having fun. "He" isn't supposed to even exist. I think that makes his life terribly lonely, since if he lets himself relax and truly enjoy himself, would that really be the "right" thing to do? Although i think he's let himself relax over time, seeing as you can't continue to be miserable and worry forever, right?
In the event that kaname never wakes up.... I'll save that for later.
With his life as HiMERU being continued on by his brother, that sort of puts him in a place where his own identity is erased as well. His actions as HiMERU are not his own. He might have friends, but he doesn't have any memories with them, he has no personal connection to them. HiMERU(oreMERU) does. All of the bonds and close friendships he would've had would be completely built on lies. There's a chance that were he actually able to be an idol and act as HiMERU again, he might not actually want that life after what had happened.
The relationships he'd already had we're altered, and the new ones made were not made by him. In a way, his life no longer belongs to him? How would oreMERU possibly explain that he'd just been filling in for kaname while he was asleep? Or for that matter if nothing is explained and oreMERU just disappears, how would kaname be able to continue on, seeing how his life had essentially continued without him? Honestly thinking about this hurts my head i just cannot see this going well at all. In some way, oreMERU has both everything and nothing, because he's the one going out and building bonds with the other characters, yet they're not his to keep.
I'm not sure if HiMERU had thought of that? Or if he did, then not to the level of which he should've. It's like a lie that snowballed out of control, but it's more like an entire landslide at this point. It's identity theft with extra steps but not exactly identity theft and more of just identity borrowing for an extended period of time. If he ends up fully embracing the identity of HiMERU as part of Crazy:B, then what happens to kaname? If kaname doesn't wake up, then what? Everything he did would've been for nothing (according to his plan).
I could talk about how much I hated HiMERU at first for the sole reason of finding him annoying and not liking his blue hair (i think there's a pattern here.), but I'd say my reasons are more complicated than that. It's actually because for a point in time I'd get one of his cards in every scout i did. This guy won't leave me alone. Well, in all seriousness I don't hate him that much. (I have his new year's card.) He's just so incredibly confusing and terrible and endearing in the best way and it's interesting to see him do all of these things for what could be described as the most selfish selfless reasons ever? I think his true self has begun to show more and more as time goes on, which is a good thing, I still worry about him. I don't want him to be happy and then have it ripped away from him. Maybe I do, just a little. (This keeps me up at night.) (I've gone back to revise this a day after I initially wrote it and reading it makes me feel like I'm the one being plagued with the fear of HiMERU's future instead of him. What is wrong with me. )
I have genuinely no clue what to make of him. Is he alright? I admit I don't think i've read all of the stories about him so if i'm missing something that's why. (sorry) This is also mostly my own personal insight on this. I want HiMERU to be happy. Sometimes. He's a funny guy. He's up there on the top 10 enstars characters who have ruined my life. I have properly capitalized HiMERU in every single instance i typed it out.

【4gamer】 Ensemble Stars!! In the 16th episode of 「CAFE CINNAMON Niki's Kitchen」, Crazy:B head to “Honey Workshop” (Post-recording Interview Portion ONLY)
translation by: phantombanquet
Post-recording Interview
Youhei Azakami as Rinne Amagi
Tomohiro Yamaguchi as Niki Shiina
Jun Kasama as HiMERU
Tasuku Kaito as Kohaku Oukawa
4gamer: Thank you for your hard work during the long day location shooting today!
Everyone: Thank you for your hard work!
4gamer: It's almost time for the location bus to leave, so I'll try not to make this interview too long.
Tomohiro Yamaguchi (hereafter referred to as Yamaguchi): We don't necessarily have to finish it!? (Laughs)
4gamer: Thank you! Then, could you give us a few words about today's event?
Yamaguchi: Well, I'm tired (Laughs). But the reason I say “tired” is because the four of us (from Crazy:B) have tons of fun when we're all together, and we've also been talking sooo much since this morning. We're all close friends, so we enjoyed talking to each other during the shooting. I feel that the script was even less relevant than before, or rather, it was because I was able to shoot on a location with the people I trust, so it was a lot of fun, and made me feel pleasantly exhausted.
Youhei Azakami (hereafter referred to as Azakami): When all four of us gather together, I just get spoiled by everyone, and I really love these members who accept that (part of me). Also, today's shooting location made me think: “Bees are really cute”. And to think that every single one of these bees is making honey like that, it made me realize how precious they are. Today was a day that made me love bees, honey, and Crazy:B even more. Thank you so much!
4gamer: By the way, Azakami-san, what is the name of the dish you made today.....?
Azakami: We~ll..... Earth. Cycle. And...
Yamaguchi: Wasn't “Earth” the last? The first is “Life”.
Azakami: Life. Cycle. Earth......Brilliance.
Jun Kasama (hereafter referred to as Kasama): I have a feeling that's not it.....?
Yamaguchi: Anything is fine! (Laughs)
4gamer: I understand. Then, Kasama-san, please give us your comments as well.
Kasama: Alright. So, the last would be Tasuku Kaito-kun.
Azakami/Yamaguchi: Summarize it properly, okay?
Tasuku Kaito (hereafter referred to as Kaito): Yeahhhh.... (Laughs)
Kasama: As Tomo-kun (Tomohiro Yamaguchi) mentioned earlier, I was happy that us four Crazy:B members could have fun yet still make interesting entertainment, without having to say “I have to say this,” or “I have to do this,” for something. I felt that there was an atmosphere that could only be created by these four members, and I really felt that I could rely on them.
I also went to see the beehive again, but without protective clothing this time, after the recording was over. I'm sure everyone else has noticed, but bees have a similar lifestyle to humans; they work hard around noon, but when the evening hits, I feel like they all go: “Thank you for your hard work today...”
4gamer: So it's something like that!
Kasama: In this way, I felt that we humans, who are also living beings, should be thankful for the graces we receive that are like in the form of honey. It was a location that gave me new feelings towards bees and honey, and also made me feel the fun of Crazy:B, which uses them (bees and honey) as their motif.
Yamaguchi: That was a good comment.....
Azakami: And then?
Kasama: And then...?
Kaito: I'm under a lot of pressure for the next comment (Laughs). (Being asked by the members: “So, how was it?”, “What did you think about today?”) Why am I being pestered so much today!
Everyone: (Laughs)
Kaito: But, all I can say is: “It was really fun”. It was a location shooting that made me feel once again the dependability and reassuring nature of the other three, and also the greatness in each and one of us. It's not often for all four of us to gather together like this, but I think it was a valuable day for us to be able to experience various things with bees, which are the motif is this unit, at a bee farm. Seeing the bees made me feel even closer to life.
Unlike when coming alone, I was able to enjoy the experience together with these older brothers, and I think I also was able to find new discoveries. I hope to engrave this experience in my mind, and have fun while making this unit even more exciting.
Yamaguchi: I'm the only one who didn't talk about “life”.....
Azakami: Are you saying you don't care about it that much?
Yamaguchi: I'm just living on the edge! (Laughs)
4gamer: This year, there will be a cast live performance (「Ensemble Stars!! Cast Live Starry Symphony -the first light-」 to be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023, and Sunday, October 1, 2023), so maybe there will be more opportunities for you four to get together again.
Kasama: Certainly.
Azakami: This was a very good early opportunity for the future!
Yamaguchi: Teamwork, and also bonding with the bees... (Laughs)
Azakami: Just being together (with you guys) for one day already makes me super duper tired.
Kasama: You (are the boke)!
Azakami: You're tired of being the tsukkomi, aren't you? (translator's note at the end)
Kasama: No, of course, I mean it in a good way? (Laughs)
Yamaguchi: But the good thing about Crazy:B is that when you say something silly, someone will make a comeback. Rather than sharing roles with everyone, it's more “Crazy:B-style” that we all enjoy ourselves on the spot, but it also makes me feel tired.... (Laughs) But that makes it twice as fun!
4gamer: By the way, is this the first time that the four of you have been together for such a long time?
Kaito: No, maybe not?
Azakami: If there's a performance (live concert, event, etc.), we're all together the whole day.
Yamaguchi: That's why it really doesn't feel like “it's been a long time” since whenever we meet, we immediately feel at ease with each other, we chat, and afterwards, we go home, and then we see each other again..... It goes something like that. I think that we, Crazy:B, have the kind of feeling like friends who feel at home/comfortable whenever we see each other.
4gamer: Indeed, and I think that the viewers could strongly feel this in this recording. Well then, that concludes our interview for today.....
Yamaguchi: Eh, are we finished already? I haven't talked about “life” yet...
Everyone: (Laughs)
4gamer: I look forward to your future activities! Thank you for today!

※ Boke and Tsukkomi are the roles in a Manzai, which is the traditional style of Japanese comedy (basically similar to stand-up comedy); Boke is the funny man while Tsukkomi is the straight/serious man. Here, Azakami was referencing how Kasama usually takes up the Tsukkomi role, and how they switched roles for today (Azakami usually does the Boke role).
(You may have heard/read this from mostly Trickstar stories since they reference it a lot, but several other Enstars [and any media in general] characters like to reference this!)

Top Songs from Enstars 2023
Number 2- Crazy Anthem
Before we get started- have you ever been as sad about something in your life as Kohaku was at the start of this song when his Sandwich fell?
Crazy Anthem is both a gift and a curse. It was our first Climax event, and thus set the template for things to follow. Unfortunately, Happy Element decided to put their best foot forward... and none of the other climax videos have been able to stand up to Crazy Anthem. Sure, many of them are detailed with large sets and tell a story, but none of them are like Crazy Anthem.
The first set is the "clubhouse", where we stay for 30 seconds, to see how bored Rinne is, how hungry Kohaku is, and to see Himeru grab the keys. If you look around, there is a ton of detail in this set- you have all the bottles of alcohol in the bar area, you have all the photos on the map on the wall, you have a variety of plants, you have the tropical exterior visable through the windows- simply put, this small area would have been a perfectly reasonable setting for an entire MV in the first 2 years of Music. So for us to only spend 30 seconds here really shows how ambitious this is.
We then get to the primary setting for the video, which is the car. We get to see different weather effects, passage of time via sun position, and we get to see the various characters singing. This, more than anything else in Enstars, feels the most like a real music video, something you could easily see a variety of music acts doing. We get various timelapses of them stopping at places, as well as them "hanging out" in the car. In many cases, we get unique positions and poses for the characters that don't get repeated- Kohaku sitting on the door with his feet inside the car, Rinne straddiling the door with his legs outside, etc.
The video keeps going. We get timelapse style, lower framerate sections of them going shopping, going to the arcade, and watching a sunset over a beach, them driving at night, before we finally return back to our starting point.
The video itself is a masterpiece. I think the Ra*bits video for Climax is a "better" video with a lot more to break down, but i think that song kinda sucks, while Crazy Anthem is incredible. I felt that the Climax videos got toned down as we went on, so I'm hoping that SOMETHING next year can get back to this level!

Im so hellbent on kaname coming back because it just feels like there's been so much build-up to it happening. Like HiMERU says 'when' and not 'if' when talking about kaname, and his acknowledgement of kaname not liking what he's doing feels like a set-up for a later conflict. And even though matrix was like THE event for me, that i thought he'd come back in, i still have a lot of hope that he'll show up in the future just because its like. he can't not. yknow. the biggest reason i have for kaname not coming back is literally just because HiMERU has a room outfit that is literally kaname. The whole reveal with the amagi village having advanced technology opened up the idea that HiMERU could bribe/beg rinne to help save kaname so the whole 3 YEAR long post-comatose vegetative state thing feels a little less relevant to his potential recover. Although, there's no say in if they'll go that route because it feels like too fresh of a reveal. idk. thoughts
