you remember now. foraging for herbs, goblins swarming you, a painful blow to your skull, and then... nothing. how is it you came to be aboard a nautiloid?

you are more concerned about the tadpole in your head than how it got there. you are more curious how you are not a splatter of viscera upon the beach. who cares how it happened? you have no idea where you are and ache all over. ► could the goblins have something to do with it?

you have never known goblins to align themselves with illithids, but you suppose there is a first time for everything. no matter your theories, the pressing matter of your tadpole hangs over your head; you need to find a healer. soon.

born to a drow mother and human father, chiyo grew up in a small village in the wilds of faerun. she felt more at home among the flora than people who eyed her warily, though, often exploring the forest, marking paths to pretty fields and little hideaways. it seemed to come natural to chiyo, like she belonged among the bubbling brooks and whispering leaves. it felt natural.

noticing her affinity for nature, her father taught her how to harness its magic and how to honor and serve silvanus; her mother, too, taught her the teachings of eilistraee, the goddess who had wished for the drow to return to the surface as well as the deity she had once served as a cleric. the young half-drow sometimes doubted that the gods would truly watch over someone so insignificant, but she learned and worshipped them nonetheless.

there came a day when her father decided it was time that they return to the circle he left long ago. his attempts to create one of his own had been unsuccessful over the years, and chiyo could learn from the druids there, find a community that she would never find in the village they currently lived in. so they left for the emerald grove, and there they have stayed.

additional notes:

chiyo is a druid of the circle of the land, focusing more on magic that manipulates the elements than wild shaping; eilistraee also plays a part in her magic/combat, making her partial to blades and allowing her to use spellsong to heal and buff/debuff those around her. she may wield moonfire as well, though this spell is mainly intended to provide light rather than having any combat use.

she and her family have lived in the emerald grove for the past 8 years, making chiyo 28 in this verse. she's familiar with the druids and tieflings, most likely on good terms with most of them, but i won't assume close friendships unless plotted/given the okay!

she still has similar issues to her original verses, such as struggling to make real connections and opening herself up and being vulnerable. even so, she makes the decision to continue travelling with her companions not only because it's the right thing to do and her fate hangs in the balance, but because she grows attached to them.

i'm writing chiyo as " tav, " but i don't mind one bit writing her as a companion -- basically if you want your muse to be the group's leader, just let me know <3

so!! this is just a little rundown of some potential muses -- it's not set in stone that i'll add anyone, but feedback is appreciated! if there's interest, then there's a reason to write these nerds <3

son daehyun: a grim reaper based upon the lore of tvn's goblin in that souls who have greatly sinned in their former lives become reapers! dae is part of a particular group who take care of "lost souls" who never passed on when they were supposed to; they search after them, much like a detective searching for a missing person, and when need be, they hunt down souls who have become malicious. daehyun himself is a softie who prefers to act tough, often going out of his way to grant the souls' last wishes so they can rest without worry. throughout his long time as a reaper, his only constant is a reincarnated soul, son soojin.

son soojin: an oc based upon the lore of tvn's goblin! soojin has lived her share of lifetimes, choosing time and again to keep her memories after an untimely death separated her from her first love. her conviction is both soojin's greatest strength and her greatest downfall as nothing can stop her from achieving her goals, yet triumph may come at her detriment. currently, she helps run her parents' cafe, acting as manager, bookkeeper, barista -- whatever is needed at the time -- and providing a certain grim reaper with a place he can send off souls to rest.

rin lavellan pickle o'brien: an inquisitor oc for dra.gon a.ge: in.quisi.tion, adaptable to general fantasy! having run away from her dalish clan a long time ago, o'brien made her home in val royeaux as a bard, thief, and information broker known for her insufferable personality as much as her indisputable talents. the nobility love to hate her yet hate each other more; o'brien is not often unemployed, and it is on a job that she finds herself at the conclave and later at the mercy of cassandra pentaghast. it would appear the blast that took so many lives has given o'brien a glowing mark capable of closing tears in the fade. whether willing or not, she finds herself entwined in a fight bigger than mages and templars.

though not fond of being called a " herald, " o'brien falls into her leadership role with surprising ease. or not so surprising, really. she's always had a soft spot for those in need.

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?) Very affectionate, likes to nuzzle and hold and give soft little kisses where they can, but their favorite place is the top of your head and your cheek

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?) He'd wanna take out our foraging a lot, teach you whats edible in the forest and whats not, show you how to catch little fishies in the creeks, talk about the cryptids he's 100% convinced live in the forests

He'd also love listening to you talk when he's not feeling too chatty, and having parallel play time

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?) Man loves to cuddle, just absolutely engulf you in his arms and bury his face into you, he's really just a big teddy bear TToTT

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?) He's decent at domestic stuff, he likes to cook with ingredients he finds/grows himself... As for cleaning.. he's a little cluttered and scattered but its not too too bad

E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?) He'd try to sit down and have a talk about it, see if there's any way of fixing things, but if not then he'd try to end things on a mutually good note

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?) They're fine with it, they'd probably want to date for at least a year or two before starting talk about that kinda stuff tho

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?) Very gentle, big gentle giant... He's very mellow and soft emotionally as well

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?) He gives GREAT hugs... just big long arms wrapping around you... His body runs pretty warm too uvu

I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?) Hmm, it would take a lil bit cause he's already not the most vocal, he'll probably say it as soon as you do

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?) Very jealous if you're together... He doesn't like to share and he'll be clingy if he thinks someone's trying to make a move

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?) Very soft and warm, slow little drawn out kisses here and there, along your cheek, across your jawline, down your neck uvu

L = Little ones (How are they around children?) He likes kids, he gets along better with kids than most adults tbh, he likes letting them climb over him and running around giving them piggy back rides

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?) Cuddled in bed or sitting outside eating breakfast... He prefers eating outside more than inside, he can't really explain why, he just finds it more refreshing

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?) Searching for mothman Watching movies, playing video games, maybe reading or just enjoying the quiet... Thinks might get kinda spicy tho u3u

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?) Finn is pretty much an open book.. its almost like he CAN'T lie, not that he would really want to.. if there's something he doesn't want to talk about he'll more just try to avoid it or dodge around the topic

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?) It takes a LOT to make him angry... he's more likely to get upset for someone else than for himself...

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?) He remembers a lot pretty easy.. you just sometimes gotta give him a minute for the info to load .w.

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?) First kiss uvu

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?) Decently protective... they'll let you stand up for yourself if they know you can and back you up... It'll spike though if they know you can't and get a LOT more protective

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?) He's gonna put a good bit of effort in! He's learned what you like and your interests and what foods you like and activities you enjoy and will plan out a whole day around that

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?) He spaces out sometimes... He'll be talking and then boom... 1000 yard stare He also is a little scatterbrained and has 0 self preservation sometimes

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?) Not really that much.. he prefers comfy over looking good, he still takes care of himself tho

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?) They'd feel so lonely and down... moping around like a sad puppy...

X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.) His favorite food is mushrooms, he looooves stuffed mushrooms... He also has to wear special piercings cause he has an allergy to some metals (Which same my guy... same u3u)

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?) He wouldn't like if you tried to make him get rid of his bones or his bugs.. u3u

Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habits of theirs?) He sleeps maybe 4-6 hours a day? Sleeps like a rock, hard to wake up, likes to hold onto things while he sleeps... stuffed animals, pillows, you :)

8. Is there a character your OC doesn’t like, if so why?

His longest standing 'Ick' with anybody has only ever been Ace. Albert finds the dude abrasive and is irritated by the joking way they kinda 'not' flirt with Eu. The harshest he's disliked somebody was Jamil. (See Ch 4 stuff). Ch 6 is coming around (I WILL WRITE IT I SWEAR) where there's gonna be some...events that will require Al to see that Jamil ISN'T just a snake in the grass.

12. What is your OC’s favorite event(s), what was their role?

The Airborne Afternoon Fan Event is actually coming up here in August if people wanted to start thinking about what they want their OCs to do/look like. I'm actually in the process of making an SR card for yall as well-

Actually, Halloween! Autumn is already his favorite time of year; couple that with all the merriment and spookiness that NRC goes All Out with, it's a lot of fun! His dorm actually takes control of 'Main Street's decorating, and subsequently where the Magicam Monsters meet One Hell of a Tour Guide 😈

20. What chapter does your OC get the most personal character development?

it's actually going to be a combination of Ch 5 events as well as Ch 6. I've already written and posted up to Ch 5 in the timeline, but you'll have to see how he changes even more in Ch 6

8. Is there a character your OC doesn’t like, if so why?

Funny or not funny: Sebek. Tidus has heard at some point that Sebek is half human, so doesn't understand why the Knight is so admonishing of his own culture? They've actually gotten to bumping chests over whether something Human was considered 'lowly' or not.

Lilia had to have a talk with Sebek about 'being careful of the nice ones, especially when they're much bigger than you. Don't be 'The Reason'.'

12. What is your OC’s favorite event(s), what was their role?

Portfest! Like everyone else, he's there to greet folks, work the churro stands, and play a bit of music (Bass Drum being his UvU)

I actually hadn't thought about that OvO Most of my development for him actually came from RPs with Squidwen, and that was all orbital to Main Story events.

I WILL SAY: Tidus does grow a bit more of a spine after One of Squidwen's OCs tries staging a union walkout and another needs protection from Jade for having a mushroom-shaped hat.

Azul! He's not a fan of that sneaky, double-speak way he runs things. "Pulpito needs to quit worrying so much about everything. Can't get down every detail just right, there's always gonna be improv."

Laz is a rather minor character. If he were more central, his big arc would also be Ch 6. He and Idia technically grew up together in the Isle of Woe, albeit in different districts. Because of what he'd heard Idia was going home for a bit, he thought he might as well take some time to come with him. After all, the Isle of Woe (personal HC) is more or less a 'company town', where everybody in some manner has experience working for STYX.

I'm going to be shameless and link this to my upcoming story:

Here's my headcanon of the Jack/Sawyer/Kate relationship before the events of The End (my fic starts post-Island).

OK, LET'S YAP.

As any good polyamorous person will tell you, a triad is composed of four interpersonal relationships, three for each duo, and the relationship the three hold together.

Jack & Kate

It's nearly canon but the writers never went all in because they wanted to keep stirring the love triangle, even after Ajira 316 landed (still mad about that).

Jack's basically been in love with Kate since the moment he saw her (who can blame him???) but like the dense mf he sometimes is, he took him years to accept she loved him too, really.

Her wilder side was never something he felt the need to tame. He loves her for who she is but, most importantly:

Who she makes him wanna be.

(To be clear, Jack's already good. He just doesn't believe it).

Kate sees the good in Jack and while the show sometimes wrote her to be cold towards Jack when he was struggling (I'm thinking about the O6 era when Jack was relapsing), I feel like she was doing it mostly to protect herself. She never stopped loving Jack either and hoping he'd get over his demons so they could truly be together.

When Jack said "You didn't like the old me Kate" I am like YEA SHE DID SHE JUST HAD TO PROTECT HER HEART AND AARON'S 🥺

So these two are just made for each other but they have to get past their respective demons and be transparent about them with each other (something Jack hadn't learned before coming back to the Island).

Their last kiss in The End represents all of that.

Sawyer & Kate

Those two really are the ones that nearly made it, in my head. They had something real, and the phase of Kate in the barracks in S4 when she thought she might be pregnant cimented the idea that she had real feelings for him, while still holding feelings for Jack (these people are so poly 😅).

Sawyer also had feelings for her, that's actually just plain canon, but of course they faded when they got separated for three years.

Him being with Juliet actually taught him how to be in a mature transparent relationship.

And while during season 6, Sawyer's just mourning the whole time, I like to think that his past relationship prepared him to be open to love with Kate once they made it back and everything settled.

Jack & Sawyer

My head is filled with off Island canon for these two, but on Island it's pretty straightforward.

Jack, before leaving in S4, was always on alert when Sawyer was there because, even though he felt like they could have been friends, he never could read him.

Actually the warming up to him tragically starts a bit before the Oceanic 6 make it off. If James didn't have to jump from the helicopter, they would have been fast friends (then more I hope 🫣) after making it to the States.

Sawyer is definitely so smitten with Jack from the beginning, it's so evident I feel it's near canon 🤣 and, again, WHO could blame him? He just wants his doc to doctor him 🥵

However, it's not like he was openly thirsting for Jack. The pull he's felt towards him has always been out of his control and something he had a hard time apprehending.

His school girl antics with Jack in the first seasons were just the manifestation of his crush in a way he himself couldn't grasp.

ALSO: Did you know in the script notes of The End, we were supposed to get a huge hug between those two when they're saying goodbye on the Island? We got ROBBED!

Jack, Sawyer & Kate

This relationship has only been explored furtively in some of their minds, but none of them have actually considered it as something that could take place.

Kate thought about it once or twice after they first crashed because she's the one who actually toyed with feelings for both these men. So it was more like "Shit would be great if i didnt have to chose."

Good news Freckles, in my world, you don’t !

Sawyer has no experience with men but he always found them attractive. However he hasn't really let himself even imagine what could be so the perspective of the trio might have made one appearance or two in desperate fantasies, late at night on the beach, but that's it.

Jack has experimented with men in med school and liked it but because he's so consumed with Kate, he hasn't really looked at Sawyer that way. Also Jack's problem isn't the man part, it's the "gotta share" part. Jack's obviously not going to have an easy time with this, and that's why as of now he never contemplated it.

Yet everything could change...

Tabby: Are they snuggly? Are you? If so, what are your favourite ways to cuddle?

-I am a KNOWN snuggler, I always be snugglin' =w= he's always been touchy-feely too, but in a lower key kind of way (if he's close/comfy with you there's a lot of shoulder/back patting) so it was quite easy to get him to warm up to how much I liked to snuggle and now we both love it TuT we are always touching if we're sitting on the couch together; if we're not in each other's laps/laying on each other we've got our legs crossed against each other or hands on knees or what have you, but once we're home and done for the day we're usually spooning on the couch - our heights lend themselves nicely to me being little spoon and him being big but sometimes we switch it up (gotta give my boy some lil spoon time u3u 💕)

Ginger: Who is the most intelligent? Who is the sensible one? Or do you share one braincell?

-We're both intelligent! While I was a more diligent student than him (which btw is why I befriended Maka first lmfao) he's never been dumb, just not motivated academically. Who's more sensible tends to depend on what the situation is; I think he has more situational awareness/"street smarts" than I do (he's VERY good at reading people's intentions even when they don't make them clear) but in times of heightened emotions sometimes I'm the one talking him down. But I also tend to get more worked up more easily than he does, so in those cases he's always very clear/cool-headed and helps me work through stuff! We might share one brain cell occasionally when we're excited about stuff haha x3 like music or good food...our dumb/goofy sides come out when we're hanging out with our friends as well (you wanna talk about sharing one brain cell activity, put Soul and Black*Star in a room together, when he comes over I have to run damage control loooooool), but overall we're both smart cookies =w=

Siamese: Who is chattier/louder, you or them?

-I'd say we're both fairly quiet unless we know you/are comfy with you? Volume-wise I think Soul speaks more loudly, and even if we're comfy with someone I think I probably have a higher tendency to rambling/chatting at length than he does, so it's a mix haha.

Persian: Are you a high or low maintenance couple? Who has the most rigorous grooming routine? Do you help each other?

-He's a bit higher maintenance than me when it comes to appearance/grooming, he has gel for his hair n stuff/shaves in the mornings and what not. I usually just brush my hair and teeth and I'm good lol, I don't wear makeup or much jewelry, just my scythe pendant + whatever earrings I feel like that day. Sometimes we'll brush each other's hair! 💖

Maine Coon: Are you a stay at home couple, or do you like going on trips together?

-Right now we're more stay-at-home out of necessity tbh; I'd LOVE to go on more trips with him but money....😭 so while we do love traveling/going places together, we've become quite comfy with being homebodies as well - really, as cliche as it might sound, as long as we're together we don't really care where we are TuT we like playing games/watching stuff together so there's always something to do at home, and we like going out and taking walks together too! But someday...I'd like to go so many more places with him 💖

The thing about ream seeing sapnap hatching was more of a question about how dragons view siblings and such hehhe. to me its like a childhood friends to lovers type of thing, but I was just wondering: if dragons hatch close to each other/ live in the same flight since they were born, do they see themselves as sibling as humans do? Or is the culture different considering all dragons start out the same and then grow in different features unrelated to the parents? sorry if it's a bit of a weird question XD I'm just really into them and thank you for answering earlier !!! ( you don't have to answer this if its too weird btw /nf)

Sibling relationships between saurian dragons aren't quite the same as for humans. Bonds are still needed to grow close relationships, and while they form more frequently and are usually stronger between dragons who share blood they're still not guaranteed. Should a parent and child, or siblings, not share a bond, they usually don't grow very close. But a base bond shared between wingmates can definitely be seen as a strong platonic familial bond, related by blood or not.

Two dragons who bond early in life might definitely grow up to view each other as siblings, but they're just as likely to just see each other as just friends or something more in the future. Should two dragons be related they're also able to smell that they share blood, which makes them uninterested in becoming anything more than wingmates.

In Dream and Sapnap's case I think Dream viewed Sapnap as a younger sibling in the beginning and only realised that wasn't what he was feeling when Sapnap grew older and became talons with Punz. That was kind of an oh moment for him. On the other hand I think Sapnap always admired and had a little bit of a crush on Dream, but he wasn't really able to put that feeling into words until much later.

George and Punz are kind of similar actually, since they originate from the same flight and hatched just a couple of months apart, but they have always been pretty clear they're best friends. I can honestly see them promising to be each others' talons and even hearts when they were just hatchlings, just how little kids promise they will marry their best friend without really know what that means other than that they really like each other uvu

Excuse me for cutting into what's basically someone else's convo but regarding your nausea it might just be that your stomach isn't ready for it. When you go to sleep a lot of your body functions slow down simply because you don't need them at the time. This does mean that in a way it's not "ready" for food sometimes when you wake up and you end up feeling boated and sick when you eat anyway. It's particularly bad for hard to digest food like bread (gluten is hard to digest for a lot of people). This isn't a one size fits all but it might be what's happening to you when you feel unwell after brekkie. A good rule of thumb is probably to eat only when you feel hungry in the morning or go for something lighter. It could also be acid reflux which can also be caused by the body slowing down digestion which also causes nausea in the morning. Take these with a grain of salt because I am not a doctor though 😅 I hope you feel better! And as always give yourself time to feel comfortable in your art again. A shitpost where I don't have to worry about the quality and just want to deliver a funny punchline always makes me feel better so maybe that might help you ease yourself out of the sorta self expectations bump thing? I'm gonna answer this on the assumption this isn't part of their school uniforms, but rather something both might wear on a sunday when they're putzing around town.

Tidus would most likely be found in comfy Academiacore. Think tweed and lots of beige. A nice cable-knit sweater for chillier days UvU

One of the things he somewhat enjoys about being sorted into Octavinelle is the style of dorm uniform. He likes dressing sharp, but only up to the point before it becomes cumbersome to move. Crisp button ups, starched pants, cumberbund or suspenders (Pref for suspenders), and well broken-into shoes.

He had picked that book up and sat it down maybe seven times since he'd gotten back up to his apartment. And every time he went to detail the man that had been shadowing his life recently he'd stop and toss it down again. He wondered when things had gotten to this point of complicated between them, that he was spending hours sitting around and mussing his hair and finding no space to write anyway.

It wasn't until he was in his bed, ready to sleep but completely unable to, that he finally picked up the book again, determined to just throw everything in the deepest recesses of his mind onto the page, whether it was structured or not. Whether it made sense or not.

Who is this asshole? He acts like such a damn kid sometimes, and I know he does shit just to get under my skin. What does he want from me, really? Sometimes... He really reminds me of Queenie. I think he's trying to do shit to get me riled up like Queenie does. And I feel like I'm getting pretty endeared to him, too. That wasn't supposed to happen... There's a lot wrong with this situation. I can't have anyone getting close to me anymore. Joshua says I can still be close to people without making them family, but I really don't think that I can. -Probably Soul - he's not usually quick to anger, more like when he DOES get angry he's not shy about letting you know it/getting loud, whereas I tend to get quiet/cry when I'm angry TT;; We've never been super snippy with each other - of course there are moments of frustration and of course we've argued from time to time, but we've gotten good at recognizing when either of us are getting riled up and stepping away and/or just talking it out. Soul used to be snippier when we were younger but the longer we've been together the more we've learned each other's habits/tells/triggers, so he's very good at pulling back now. He's not perfect, no one is, but he does his best in moments of frustration 💕 and I do too! I used to just shut down more often; now I try my best to talk about why I might be feeling angry or frustrated so we can work it out. We'll always work it out - we're lucky in that we never disagree or fight about anything huge! Just normal everyday frustrations, nothing we can't handle.

Tuxedo: Do you both prefer fancy dates where you dress up, or casual dates?

-OH man this is a tough one cause like, it's all about the timing/our mood, both are good! I think I might have a slight preference towards casual because I like being comfy, and he might have a slight preference towards fancy cause he's got a taste for that sort of thing (plz refer to the Black Room for reference lol) but we both like doing the opposite too! There is a lot of fun in dressing up, and while I would say that me "dressing up" usually is still pretty casual, getting all dolled up for something fancy is fun for a special occasion (I will never turn down the opportunity to see him in a suit, eheh .////. ) for most of our dates i'd say we're somewhere in the middle - putting on cute outfits but nothing ULTRA fancy - with super comfy fits for casual at-home dates and super fancy fits for special occasions uvu

Calico: Do you consider yourself lucky that you met them? Do they consider themselves lucky that they met you? Why?

-Absolutely 100% we both consider ourselves lucky - our lives would be totally different without each other, in worse ways I think. We found each other at fairly volatile times in our teen years, both struggling with similar yet totally different things, and our shared experiences really helped each other. I was talking about this with my friend Phoe just the other day - Soul and I have a lot in common, but our differences are just enough and just in the right ways that we balance each other out, and soften each other's more negative tendencies. I helped him to be more open emotionally, he helped me to be more assertive, the list could go on and on! I feel extremely fortunate that he came into my life, and he feels just the same. We are locked in for life, 100%, and can't imagine ever being without each other. We love each other so much TuT 💕
