Something about you two brings out his loving and protective side. Like why are you alone? What happened to the dad? He doesn't have kids, but knows it isn't easy to raise one. And he admires how strong and resilient you are, but who takes care of you on the hard days?

You better believe there will be security detail at all times. He needs you to be safe. Oh, your child sad because he or she wants Bucky to come over and read a bedtime story? He's ending whatever he has going on, grabbing his keys, getting a stuffie along the way, and making sure to read the best bedtime story ever. Your bank account is full. He makes time for the both of you. Doesn't matter that your child isn't biologically his, that's his kid, too.

I woke up this morning still thinking about Fadel waking up in Style's bed.

I wonder what was running through Fadel's head as he turned to look at Style, eyes still squinting against the too-bright morning light, the unfamiliar comfort of the shape of Style's name on his lips for the very first time. I wonder if he was too sleepy to process how strange it was that he didn't really mind being pinned down by the weight of Style's thigh thrown over his hips; that the sensation was grounding and reassuring rather than being confining or suffocating. I wonder if the thought crossed his mind that he wouldn't mind waking up like this again, wouldn't mind letting someone into his space, wouldn't mind giving someone the bared vulnerability of lying naked and unprotected with all the implications of unwavering trust that has -- not if it was with him.

I wonder if Fadel registered the way his heartbeat is steady and calm despite the strange surroundings and unfamiliar bed, because something in him has already labelled the person lying next to him as safe.

I wonder if Fadel even understood that this, right here, in all its quiet and unacknowledged stillness, was the moment he fell in love?

i'm sorry but the idea that tim got caught on the very first night he and jason were together is somehow more hilarious then jaytim having been going on for months bc tim lies like he breathes but he couldn't even keep his relationship with jason a secret for 1 night

anon you are galaxy brained for putting that fic and that concept together oh my god. it is exponentially funnier for Tim to get caught the *first time* he sleeps with Jason. especially because Jason would also find that to be absolutely hilarious. he'd have no shame about it, and he's not going to give up something that gives him a chance to fight with Bruce. if Tim had just waited five more minutes he would've been fine, but outting himself the minute he caves to sleep with Jason, just to see if Jason can really back up all the filthy things he's been saying would be his luck. he cannot catch a single break. the worst part is, it won't even deter him from sleeping with Jason, bc now there's the fun allure of doing something Bruce openly doesn't approve of. it's a win-win for Jason, bc now he has new dirty talk to use in bed about how Tim is willing to defy Bruce just to sleep with him, and isn't that just a joy. it really is a matter of time before Jason convinces Tim to fuck in the Batcave.

Something I’ve noticed for awhile is that I often get comments from people about how they are surprised how I always come up with theories and try to guess what might happen and they “could never do that” themselves. I want to say: yes you can! There’s honestly a shortage of Nevermoor theories and ideas and speculation and etc and I want to see MORE!!!

Want to talk about how Morrigan’s mom is actually secretly alive? How the Scholar Mistresses are a Wundrous Act? Do you think the Tempus Divinity looks like an owl, or do you think Weaving and Ruination would be met together? Or have you ever thought about how this one line, from Chapter 19 of Nevermoor, about Betram Crow actually means he was a Cursed Child? Whatever it is you want to talk about: GO FOR IT!!!

I personally find it very fun to go sort of “English class mode” and look at the text in front of me and think about what different things might mean and analyze it and even overthink it to an unnecessary (but fun!) amount. But that’s just me and how I like to approach things! You don’t need to make long posts and quote specific lines if that isn’t your style. The big thing to remember is that so much can happen in the next six books, so throw any idea out there! You never know what twists and turns will be thrown at us. I think it’s fun to share these ideas and discuss with other people— sure, maybe there’s just something you missed when reading, but perhaps some new ideas spawn might from it. Some speculation could even serve as inspiration for fics!

There are some theories and thoughts that I’ve posted that have been “debunked” when I reread a book, or when someone pointed out something, or even just when something had a real-world basis that I as an American didn’t catch. But it was still fun to think about it all, and there’s some bits and pieces that I see as notable and worth considering. I think most of the Silverborn Masterpost is going to be “wrong”, but if just 1% of it is “correct”, even indirectly, I will take that as a win. I know it feels like during the hiatus everyone’s talked about everything, but I hope that the incoming communal reread (fingers crossed) and obviously Silverborn brings some speculation back to the fandom because I want to discusssssss!

When Machete became a cardinal, did his parents ever recognize him?

Machete's home village was on the other side of Italy (and separated by the sea no less) and it was small, relatively rural and remote. It's very unlikely many news about Holy See's happenings made their way there. I don't think his parents had any reason to expect to ever hear about him again, he seemed to be somewhat of a lost cause when they dropped him off.

What is a regret which you have in the making of the Broccoli Soup webcomic?

Honestly I have several:

1.) Not organizing any of my files for the first 10 episodes. That’s really coming back to bite me in the ass right now.

2.) Not putting a lot of stuff of different layers (if I ever attempt to adapt this into a page comic it will kill me.)

3.) Not making the speech bubbles bigger in the everything store. Terrible readability

4.) All my grammatical errors

5.) Making Broccoli not green
