remember: after harming your whumpee via cold environmental factors it is ALWAYS an option to then give them a pair of warm socks straight from the dryer/hearth (time period dependent of course) to put on

Happy Bly-versary
The Xmas Fic is still in progress but I wanted to post something anyway in celebration. Here’s (most of) the next section, continuing from Part 1. This is unofficially titled “Jamie’s Wardrobe Dilemma”. It’s about 1.6k words. Have a good weekend, everyone.
— — —
Later that night, while Dani is immersed in her nightly bathing routine, Jamie sifts through hangers suspended from a metal bar spanning the closet, considering various winter wear in a fog of indecision. A parade of patterned fabrics pass under her brutal judgement — knits, cotton, fleece — rarely achieving candidacy.
Wardrobe planning was a grossly underestimated priority on her list of larger traveling woes; a peripheral detail that’s unexpectedly eclipsed and confounded the final hours of her evening. Jamie releases a frustrated huff, folds her arms, and spares a moment for deeper thought.
The issue involves first impressions, something she can’t remember ever caring about. She can’t understand why anyone would think it rational to construct and perform a facade before an audience who’ll inevitably condemn the truth anyway the moment it shambles out into the light. What good can come of it, beyond the borderline useless consolation prize of deferred disappointment?
No greater evidence undermining the importance of first impressions exists than the day Jamie first appeared to Dani in the manor. She was wearing as much dirt as clothes and neglected to offer a single cordial smile, yet several years later Dani married her.
It shouldn’t matter. Especially since, in all likelihood, Jamie won’t cross paths with half these people ever again. But this is a self-concerned attitude, one that faces obsolescence in the context of her marriage, which has invited the needs of another into consideration.
And what Dani needs, is a spouse on her arm who can subvert the massive social barriers erected before them through pure likability. How else will any of these people feel happy for Dani, in her aberrant life? How else will they not pity her, not blame tragedy or moral failing for this yawning chasm between the circumstances of now and a decade ago? How else will Jamie keep her temperamental fists tucked securely in her pockets and not embedded in the source of the first malicious whisper?
Personal expression be damned. While Jamie can satisfy her own wardrobe tastes any other day of the year, these impending days comprise Dani’s homecoming to a found family who hasn’t seen her in a decade.
Unfortunately, Jamie doesn’t have the slightest clue how to proceed.
The basics are, of course, obvious: sensible garments free of damage or stains, of thoughtfully matched palette, and mature enough for a woman in her mid-thirties. Achieving this synergy is not a challenge. The challenge, per se, is tailoring a physical presence in agreement with her future company, whose tastes are unknown and obscure.
The sound of a running blow dryer, having veiled Jamie’s preoccupation in white noise over the last five minutes, drains from the air. Moments later Dani enters the bedroom to sort her laundry. She’s wearing fleecy winter pajamas and a bare face colored by a natural, faint rosy hue on her cheekbones. When Dani notices the clothes spread over the duvet, she approaches to silently contemplate the selections. Jamie’s apprehension spikes.
“Haven’t decided yet,” she quickly reassures her. “Still mulling it over.”
Dani blinks as a shallow line appears in her brow. “Really? Just wear what you usually wear. Dress warm. My mom says it’s been snowing all month over there, too. Are you gonna bring a scarf?”
“Yeah, probably.” For a few seconds, Jamie maintains a rigid posture and curls her fingernails into the flesh of her palms. Eventually, she confesses, “I, uh, want to look nice for your family. So they like me.”
A pause of equivalent length precedes Dani’s little, “Oh. Okay.” When Jamie remains stonily silent, she adds, “Do you… want advice?”
“Maybe a bit. Couldn’t hurt.” Jamie perches herself at the edge of the bed. “I certainly know how to dress myself, but I want to be appropriate for the given company. Know what I mean? What they find decent.”
“It’s not like we’re Amish over there,” Dani quips. “They’re just regular people.”
Jamie sighs into her hands before dropping them into her lap. She then pats the empty space beside her, waits for Dani to sit, and reorients herself on the verge of explication. Her austerity continues to confuse Dani, whose brow furrows again.
Dani says, “You know you look pretty in everything you wear.”
“‘Course you say that, but—”
“But what? Are you saying I’m wrong?”
“You’re my wife,” says Jamie. “Of course you’re going to say that.”
“Yeah, but that doesn’t make me wrong.” Dani playfully jabs her in the ribs with a few fingers, eliciting Jamie’s reflexive, twisting recoil. “So how do you wanna look? Charmingly midwestern?”
“Hardly know what that entails, but yeah, if that’s what’s appreciated.”
With a smile tugging at her lips, Dani smooths a hand over Jamie’s thigh before rising to sift through her selections. Occasionally she holds them over Jamie’s chest and pensively cants her head to envision her clothed in each. Following a spell of silence, Dani ponders aloud, her tone fond and gentle, “You could look sweet.”
“Sweet?”
A new article emerges from the closet on Dani’s authority: a red holiday sweater decorated in blocky pine trees, stylized snowflakes, and reindeer motifs.
“Oh, no,” Jamie immediately protests. “Dani, come on. Not that one.”
“Why not? You’d look so cute in it—”
“I’d look like a bloody snow globe. I just want to look nice, remember? Not silly.”
Dani feigns shock and offense. “So you think I look silly when I wear it?”
“No. You look cute when you wear it. Me? More like the criminally insane.”
“Or just a grumpy snow globe.” After issuing her final retort, Dani retires the sweater from their consideration. “Okay, how about this one?” She lifts one of Jamie’s selections. It’s a dark green fisherman crewneck. “Cable looks good on you. You could wear some nice earrings with it. For Christmas Eve?”
“All right, yeah,” Jamie agrees. “That’s good. Sensible, mature. Pairs well with pretty much any trousers and still looks, you know, put together. It’s just us and your mum that day, right?”
“Right.” While folding the sweater’s arms and tucks the material into a tidy square fit for packing, Dani adds, “She can be, um… a little hard to impress sometimes. But she likes you, so you shouldn’t worry too much.”
“Really? You could tell that just from the one day when I met her?”
Dani nods. “Her sense of humor is like yours. A little dark and dry.”
“Huh.” Jamie lifts her brow, processing the information. She’s inclined to believe Dani’s assessment, and not merely for the fact that Dani knows her own mother best. From what Jamie remembers of Karen, she wouldn’t precisely describe her as a ray of sunshine — rather unlike her daughter. On the contrary, she wore a thin carapace of bitterness, hardness, and impassivity; a worldview shaped by dissatisfaction in perpetuity. Quite surprisingly, several dry remarks at dinner had her laughing, but Jamie was too busy clawing a desperate path toward their relationship’s acceptance to interpret Karen’s genuine favor.
For nearly a minute, Jamie watches Dani slip hangers into rejected sweaters and cardigans. She returns them to the closet and says, “Christmas Day’s usually a little more formal. Are you willing to wear a skirt?”
“Sure,” answers Jamie, as Dani proceeds to sift through the oak dresser for something appropriate. Loose hair spills over Dani’s shoulder and hangs in space like silky wheat as she leans forward. Meanwhile, Jamie’s preoccupation of the issue at hand begins to slur at the mercy of the late hour. She says, a bit dreamily, “Dress me up like a proper homestyle Yank.”
Dani casts a smile over her shoulder. “Trust me?”
“After the snow globe jumper? Absolutely not.”
Upon approach, Dani drapes a black skirt over Jamie’s lap and implicitly directs her to hold a mahogany brown turtleneck over her chest. She steps back to evaluate the composition, seeming pleased. But then her serenity falters, overshadowed by an observation, “I’ve never seen you this worried about clothes.”
Jamie gives an effacing shrug and quietly responds, “I just… want to help you look good in front of your family.”
Her reply is a source of some confusion for Dani. “Me? I thought we were deciding what you’re going to wear.”
“Well, you know—” The turtleneck slides down her front when Jamie relaxes her hands. “I figure it’s by association. If you’ve gone through all the trouble to, uh, be with someone like me, it’d better seem like it was worth it.”
She hadn’t realized how unstable her voice had sounded until receiving Dani’s extended silence. Jamie self-consciously preoccupies her hands by folding the clothes in her lap.
Dani finally says, solemnly, “I don’t care what they think about us.”
“Then why go at all? I mean, if you don’t care what someone thinks I wouldn’t expect you to care much about them, either. Generally speaking.”
Initially, Jamie fears she has upset Dani with her bluntness. But Dani is strikingly calm and collected when she answers, “They need to know. I want them to see and understand, as best they can, before it’s too late.”
Jamie can’t speak for a moment. Then she infers in an uncertain, choked voice, “So this all for, what, posterity? You just said you don’t care what they think.”
Dani wrings her hands around a naked hanger, visibly pensive and growing redder-eyed by the second. She fixes her stare on the blinded bedroom window. “I can’t stop wondering if this will be last time I see them.”
In commiseration, Jamie rises from the bed to gently remove the hanger from Dani’s clutches, and replaces it with her own hands. Although Dani isn’t ready to face her, Jamie feels her squeezing her fingers.

5 Signs of Poor Roof and Attic Ventilation
When your roof ventilation and attic ventilation are under performing, your entire home will suffer the consequences. While the problem is difficult for an average homeowner to diagnose, the symptoms present themselves in various ways – symptoms that will raise the alarm.
You may find inconsistent coverage with your winter heating and summer cooling. You may be experiencing unusually high utility bills. Or, you may have drafty rooms throughout the house. All of these are signs that roof ventilation and/or attic ventilation are not performing at peak.
When your attic cavity has proper airflow and ventilation, warm air and air moisture are allowed to exit, while fresh outdoor air is allowed to enter. This creates a working system that lessens the workload load on your heating and cooling system, while preventing moisture collection.
Under performing roof ventilation or attic ventilation is problematic
If the upstairs of your home feels noticeably warmer than your downstairs, it’s quite possible that your roof is not properly ventilating. Amongst other issues, poor ventilation can eventually cause damage to the inside and outside of your roof. This is particularly true in climate regions where summers are very hot and winters are very cold. A number of issues can develop over the years.
1. Damage to the roof and attic cavity
Every home is a “working system” – from the basement to the roof – everything works together. If you have problems with your roof or attic, poor ventilation may well be the source. And when the space is waterlogged, it means that a high amount of moisture is seeping into the woodwork.
In a worst-case scenario, moisture can cause the roof decking to sag and warp. This is often a sign of under performing ventilation, primarily because excessive heat allows air moisture to collect in high concentration. Everything is affected, from roof decking, to roof shingles, to underlayment.
2. High energy/HVAC maintenance bills
When your roof is not effectively ventilated, indoor heat (rising throughout the home) simply cannot exit. Clearly, this is a bigger problem in the warm months of summer, because hot air actually builds up in the attic during the day. Ideally, hot indoor air (and associated air moisture) should be venting out through the attic. This system of ventilation system benefits the house.
• poor ventilation creates uncomfortable spaces in the home
• poor ventilation causes the air-conditioning to over-work
• poor ventilation results in higher-than-usual energy costs
• poor ventilation makes for additional HVAC maintenance
3. Ice damming along the roof’s edge
Ice dams are thick deposits of ice (and snow) that form gradually along a roof’s edge. Ice dams accumulate because of a constant melting/freezing process – it’s usually connected to poor attic ventilation. Because of inadequate ventilation, a warm attic allows roof snow to melt, which then refreezes along the edges of a roof.
Not surprisingly, ice dams can cause quite extensive damage to the roof. It’s a sure sign that the attic should be inspected and the ventilation assessed. Left unattended, ice dams can even cause damage that affects the interior of the house. The freezing/melting cycle can perpetuate damage to walls, ceilings, and other areas.
4. Blistering paint from excessive moisture
Blistering house paint is almost always caused by excessive air moisture. In other words, when you get rid of the air moisture, you solve the problem. Indoor air moisture comes from routine activities like cooking, showering, clothes dryers, and the like.
Basically, the problem is not the air moisture itself – it’s the proper ventilation (or lack) of the excessive air moisture. When the attic and roof of a home are properly ventilated, the residual moisture is allowed to exit the building envelope completely.
5. Poor ventilation causes mold and mildew
Mold and mildew require warmth and moisture to survive, and when an attic is poorly ventilated it’s the perfect environment for growth. The bad news is that when mold does develop, it can be difficult to eliminate. Worse, mold will harm the home’s structure if left unresolved.
In some situations, mold can contribute to health problems. It happens when poor ventilation in the attic does not allow the house to “breathe”. It means that occupants are breathing in mold spores that are re-circulating around the house instead of ventilating out of the house.

21 Shopping Tips for Women in the Mall
Thursday and Friday mornings are a great time to shop. Many stores begin their weekend sales on these days. It is possible to purchase your items on sale minus the rush and crowds of Saturday purchase shoppers. Make nice with all the sales man. If there is an article of clothing which you adore, but the cost isn't quite right, ask the sales person to give you a call once the piece goes on sale. This works great at high-end department shops on big-ticket items such as cashmere and fur coats. Sign up to get coupons and special deals in the mail and internet from your favourite stores. Some stores provide a 15-20% discount on first time or same day purchases with a store card. I normally open one of these store lines of credit when I am purchasing a great deal of things on a super sales afternoon. It makes that extra 20% offer go a lot farther. It is a waste of a discount to start up a shop line of credit if you're only going to spend $20 or $30 on your first trip. Ask about cost adjustments. Most stores allow a 14-day cost adjustment. When an item of clothing that you purchase goes on sale within the allotted times of price adjustment, the store will credit you with the difference. Shop all your coupons in one pocket of your purse. Do not you love these free underwear with any purchase offers or $30.00 off any $75.00 purchase vouchers? Me too. Keep the coupons at a special compartment of your purse so you can locate them easily when required. Shopping Tip #5 Maintain a dryer sheet in your purse. This comes in handy in the winter months. Run the dryer sheet through your hair when you get static electricity from looking on sweater after sweater in the mall. Shoping Tip #14 Shopping Tip #7 Shopping Tip #4 Make the most of the voice memo function in your cell phone. Can you see a pair of shoes that you enjoy, but are you currently wondering whether or not you can come across the exact same or similar pair of shoes in a different store at a better price? Leave a voice memo on your phone using a description and cost of the shoe. Creating a voice memo is a great deal faster than writing it down and much more reliable than taking a mental note. Shopping Tip #10 Shopping in the mall is one of my favourite pastimes. But some folks actually hate shopping in the mall and avoid it at any cost. If you are one of those people who believe that mall shopping is a necessary evil, you might get the following tips conducive to a more pleasant and less stressful shopping experience. Even people who don't mind shopping in the mall may get a few tips that will make their next trip to the mall a much better one. Keep your receipts at precisely the same region in your pocket or purse. Usually, the cashier will ask whether or not you would like to maintain the receipt with you. Always say yes, or ask for it if she doesn't offer. Your receipt is considerably more inclined to get dropped, thrown away or lost if you keep it in the bag. Shopping Tip #11 Bonus Tip Shopping Tip #17 Shopping Tip #16 Shopping Tip #9 Shopping Tip #21 Request to place your item in question on hold. Most stores have a one to three day hold policy. I do this once I begin shopping and find a dress I enjoy, but I still want to check out other shops for something greater. This guarantees that the dress will still be there in the end of the day if I choose to purchase it. Shopping Tip #18 Shopping Tip #1 Shopping Tip #19 Shopping Tip #15 Leave the hubby or significant other at home. For serious shopping trips, I choose to shop independently. Without my spouse or anybody else there, I will shop more freely and not feel guilty about the time that I'm spending in every shop. I can concentrate on what I want or want to buy. In case you have a favorite place at the mall that you stop by for snacks, ask for a rewards card. For instance, I seldom earn a trip to the mall without a halt at Auntie Anne's Pretzels. For every six pretzels that I purchase, I get the 7th one free. I have gotten a ton of free pretzels such a way. Shopping Tip #3 Know when to buy. If you see a product that you absolutely love and there's just one in your size left, ask the salesperson if there are some other people in the back or if any of the other shops carry it. If the solution is no, purchase it. It seems awful to revisit that a shop only to learn that your coveted item was just bought by someone else. Shopping Tip #13 Shopping Tip #6 Constantly ask about a store's return policy. Some stores have a generous cash back return policy in which practically anything can be returned with a receipt. However, other stores can only give you store credit or a combination of store credit and money back after a definite number of days has passed. The bookstore at the mall is a great spot to rest your tired feet. It is possible to sit and browse through books and magazines for even more shopping inspiration. Another fun way to have a break in the mall would be to visit the makeup counter of a department store for a mini makeover. Shopping Tip #12 If you're craving a little snack but are not prepared for a full size meal, take a look at the food court about 11:30 AM. Free food samples abound at the moment. Wear undergarments that match your skin tone. With nude hued bras and panties, you can try on almost any color of clothing with no bra or panties showing. This will offer you the most precise look of your clothes will appear with no black bra under a white shirt syndrome. Wear comfortable slip on shoes. It creates changing in and out of trousers in the dressing room considerably faster and simpler. Shopping Tip #20 Leave your jacket in the car. Inevitably, you'll warm up while shopping and remove your coat anyway. Do you really want the extra burden of carrying your coat everywhere you go? If you followed shopping suggestion #1, then you shouldn't have a much walk into or out of the mall on the coldest of days. Bring a touch up kit into your handbag: concealer, lipstick/lip salon, little comb and blotting papers. Shifting in and outside of clothing daily is bound to get you somewhat disheveled. Wear a button down long sleeve shirt. You can unbutton your shirt when trying on different outfits at the dressing room without messing up your hair or getting lipstick or foundation on your clothing. Shopping Tip #8 Make use of the customer service desk in the mall. The people who work in this desk can answer all sorts of questions regarding the mall including the positioning of an ATM, location of a store, info about mall occasions and the name of restaurants with a type of food that you specify. They can even offer you change. Shopping Tip #2 Arrive during the first hour which the mall opens. You're guaranteed a choice parking place. When it is a sunny and hot day, park beneath some shade. When it's a rainy or cold day, park near the entrance of the mall. If your shopping trip won't conclude until later in the evening, park beneath a well lit place for security.

The Best No-Show Socks for Different Shoe Styles in 2020
Socks are important. Other than helping to keep away smelly feet, socks provide protection for our feet by preventing friction between our skin and shoes, which could cause blisters. However, not all socks are created equal. We definitely don’t want to ruin our #OOTD or end up a walking fashion disaster by having socks peeping out of those classy heels. The solution would be to find the most suitable no-show socks or invisible socks for the right type of shoes. Look no further, we’re here to help!
Here’s a list of the top four factors to consider when buying no-show socks, depending on what you need and the style of shoes that you’ll be wearing. These are probably things that you never knew would make a great difference for your feet’s comfort! Other than that, we have also included shopping links to the different types of no-show socks as described.
As one of the most established brands for socks in Singapore, Citrusox has a wide range of socks available for almost any type of shoes, because we understand your pain points and needs ☺
1. Cut
The cut of no-show socks is the most important factor when it comes to how “invisible” the socks look with our shoes on. Below are the various types of no-show socks out there in the market.
a. Ultra shallow cut The most common cut for no-show socks, the ultra shallow cut ensures that when you’re wearing heels or ballet flats, the hem of the socks will not be seen from any edges. These socks for heels or flats also have non-slip patches at the back of the heel to prevent slipping off your feet. Suitable shoe types: Flats, heels
b. Peep toe socks
Specially made for peep toe shoes where your toes will be exposed in the front, the peep toe cut is almost the same as the ultra shallow cut, but is exposed at the toes. The rest of your feet is still protected.
Suitable shoe types: Peep toe flats, Peep toe heels
c. Peep toe mule socks
As the name suggests, peep toe mule socks are basically a combination of mule socks that has a peep toe cut at the front. These mule socks cover only the front half of the feet, as it’s meant to be worn for mules or sliders. It comes in the form of toe slots for better grip and would be less likely to fall off the feet even though it only covers half the foot.
Suitable shoe types: Mules, sliders
d. Loafer socks
Loafer socks end slightly lower than the ankles to give sufficient protection for your feet while being invisible when you wear loafers. They usually have a lower cut than sneaker socks.
Suitable shoe types: Loafers, sneakers
e. Sneaker socks
The most classic sneaker cut needs no further explanation. Sometimes also known as ankle socks, they are comfy and invisible when wearing sneakers.
Suitable shoe types: Sneakers
f. Covered Toe no-show socks
Covered toe no-show socks are almost the same as your typical no-show socks, but there are individual toe slots to fit each of your toes in, just like a glove. This gives greater grip on your feet, but some people may find this less breathable or comfortable compared to typical no-show socks.
Suitable shoe types: Flats, heels
g. Strapped No–Show Socks
These strapped no-show socks are probably new to you. They cover only the toes and are worn with the strap over your heels, which can help to provide better grip than traditional no-show socks.
Suitable shoe types: Flats, heels, loafers, sneakers
h. Insole pads
Looking almost avant garde, these insole pads are not your typical insole pads. Designed for women who only want a bare, minimalist insole pad, these insole pads come with loops. The loops at the heel and toes help to provide a better grip and prevent the pads from moving around when you put your shoes on.
Suitable shoe types: Flats, heels, loafers, sneakers
2. Non-slip patches/strips
a. Heel patches
Non-slip silicone rubber patches are another important feature of no-show socks, especially when your socks are of a shallow cut. They can come in the form of a non-slip patch at the back of the heel of the sock. The decrease in cloth coverage due to an ultra shallow cut could compromise on it being fitted securely on your feet, but non-slip heel patches help in maintaining that support by giving an extra grip.
b. All-around non-slip strip
Other than the typical non-slip heel patch, another type of non-slip grip comes in the form of a “all-around non-slip strip”, which features a long silicone rubber strip that spans the entire inner hem of the sock, providing more grip and makes the sock much more secure on your feet. You won’t have to worry about frustrating slipping socks anymore!
See our full collection with non-slip features here .
3. Material
Next, it’s about the material. The fabric has to be thin enough to slide shoes on easily, yet still remain breathable to prevent your feet from sweating too much. Here are some of the common fabrics which no-show socks are made up of, and some facts about their advantages and disadvantages.
a. Cotton
Probably the most common material for socks, cotton is lightweight, breathable and comfortable, but it may not be as smooth or soft as some of the other materials in this list. Cotton is also durable, which means it can typically last through many washing cycles. However, beware that cotton socks might shrink after washing them in hot water or putting them in a hot dryer cycle. To avoid shrinkage, wash them in cold water and drip dry.
b. Bamboo cotton
Bamboo cotton is made from fibre that comes from the fast-growing bamboo plant, thus making it a very durable and eco-friendly fibre. Bamboo cotton is super soft and more breathable than cotton. It also has a natural sheen on its surface, making it feel like silk or cashmere. Due to its luxurious feel, bamboo cotton can be considered as a luxury choice material for socks. It also has natural microbial and hypoallergenic qualities.
c. Microfibre
Microfibre is a mixed blend of synthetic fibres, mainly made up of nylon and a small percentage of spandex. Nylon is a strong and hard-wearing fibre made from plastic. It is typically used with other fibres such as spandex to increase its stretchability or to improve durability. Spandex is a lightweight synthetic fibre that is highly stretchable. No-show socks made of microfibre are usually very thin and have a silky touch to it.
d. Polyester
Polyester is another common synthetic fibre used for no-show socks. It is very resilient and durable, and usually lasts longer than cotton. It has hydrophobic (water-repelling) properties, making it water resistant so that it dries faster when wet. It is also extremely colorfast, which means it holds dyes very well for vivid colouration, so your bright coloured socks made of polyester could still retain their bright colours even through multiple washes. However, polyester is actually made from plastic, so it is not that eco-friendly and breathable as compared to cotton or bamboo cotton. For making socks, a polyester is usually blended with spandex or cotton, either to increase stretchability or to combine with the benefits of cotton.
e. Woollen socks
As its name suggests, woollen socks contain a blend of wool and other fibres such as acrylic or polyester. It provides the function of keeping feet warm, so woollen socks could be best worn not only during winter season but also for people who constantly work in freezing air-conditioned environments and require thicker no-show socks to keep their feet warm.
4. Enhanced Add-ons
a. Cushion padding at sole
Some types of no-show socks come with a cushion padding at the sole for extra comfort and support. The cushion padding can make the soles of the shoes feel softer. However, it might take up slightly more room inside the shoe, so make sure there is some allowance before considering this sock option.
b. Anti-skid socks – normal cut or yoga cut
Anti-skid socks are socks with grips – many tiny rubber dots on the bottom of the soles for better grip on the ground to prevent sliding. These are best for exercising in the gym when you’re doing your HIIT on the mat, or while doing yoga or pilates. They come in a normal socks cut or yoga socks cut. The yoga socks design comes with two criss cross bands on the bridge of the feet to make it stay more securely on your feet. It also has a toed yoga socks design option.

Doe Your Samsung Dryer Not Heating Up? What to do and How to Repair It

Doe Your Samsung Dryer Not Heating Up? What to do and How to Repair It
Is your Samsung dryer not heating? If you have this problem with your dryer, you should know some tips that can help you. These are tips you can try to solve the problem yourself without calling a technician.
Going through this problem is very unpleasant for many people if it is summer or winter, a dryer is always essential at home. If you feel like your dryer is failing, there are certain steps you should take to verify where the problem may be coming from.
The Samsung brand is highly recognized and popular worldwide for its quality products. If you feel that your dryer no longer works as it used to or that it no longer heats and does not dry your clothes, you should quickly find out the reasons for this to happen.
The reason why your dryer does not heat can be many. Below you can find out some of the reasons why your Samsung dryer no longer produces heat.
Most Common Causes Your Samsung Dryer Won’t Heat Up
You have not cleaned the lint trap or lint filter in the dryer. (poor or restricted airflow)
The dryer may have a kinked or clogged air vent hose (nonexistent or inadequate airflow)
Dryer motor overheats due to thermal overload or is defective
The drum of your Samsung drying has stopped rotating
Your dryer drum drive belt is broken
The dryer may have a burned heating element
Thermostat or thermal fuse: This could be due to the accumulation of a lot of lint in the ventilation hose of your tumble dryer.
Your dryer’s outlet or plug is loose
It could be due to another problem or mechanical failure or a malfunction
Check the main resistance breaker’s
If the dryer is gas, you must check the gas supply, open, and interrupt. (For this step it is recommended that you call a specialist to avoid problems)
You can try and select a drying option other than warm air (Air Fluff)
The dryer could have moved to cycle cooling
If you have already tried all these options and the failure persists, you should contact a specialized Samsung technician to solve it.
Other Possible Problems
The washing machine does not spin properly
If your washer does not spin at least 800 rpm or have a spin speed problem, your dryer will have trouble drying. At this point, your dryer may get wet when the cycle ends. Experts recommend that you use a spin speed greater than 800 rpm to keep your clothes as dry as possible.
The place where you put the dryer is not the right one
You should pay close attention to where you put your washing machine and look for a cool and airy place. An appliance does not work well if the temperature is between 20 and 35 degrees. You should verify that your dryer has no objects in front that can absorb the fresh air.
