the sun was setting, just about. it was warm, perhaps warmer due to the amount of pressure jesse had put on himself for tonight. he’d spent dedicated time on getting his gear from his favourite alley, dedicated time on staring at himself in his mirror while he and teddy relentless battled about whether he should go or not. interestingly enough, sometimes, it seemed like teddy wanted what was best for him. to go to the beach party. 

but then, he remembered that if he did go, teddy would turn the whole night around and it wouldn’t be for the best. 

walking down the boardwalk towards where he’d heard the party was, his hood was up and --- oh, yeah, you read correctly. he was wearing his hoodie. and jeans. in fact, jesse almost always wore this outfit. and teddy, walking quietly next to him (for once) was wearing exactly the same. 

“i can’t do it,” he muttered to himself, who in turn, looked back at jesse and gave him a knowing look. 

“you can.” 

shaking his head, jesse stopped walking, but felt a gentle push against his back. it wasn’t real, but to him it was; teddy’s small encouragement. continuing on, jesse’s hands clenched into tight fists inside the pockets of his hoodie as he approached the walkway towards---

oh, there it was. the confidence he’d whipped up in seconds was gone in the same amount of time when he saw the crowds of people, mingling and dancing to the music. and he stopped again.

suddenly, the heat was almost unbearable and he shakily exhaled. “i can’t do it,” he whispered, ignoring teddy’s groan as he turned his back to the crowd, hastily retreating. he couldn’t let anything go wrong again.

“people are quite the sight to behold,” claudia commented from where she stood, leaning against the bar with a glass of white wine in her hand. it was her first, of course, unlike a lot of the other people at the party; her days of getting wasted were behind her, as it were. but that didn’t mean she couldn’t enjoy the affects alcohol had on others, oh no. “oh, look at that poor boy,” she told the person next to her, gesturing to where she watching a scene unfold, “he spilled his drink on that girl and i’m almost positive her girlfriend is going to beat him up for it.” she turned to face the other person, a small smile on her face, "and what's the weirdest thing you've seen so far, hm?"

                         soul by splash bar :  beach party  !

      it is time for  our first event  !  soul by splash is celebrating its first year anniversary by hosting a beach party  &  you are invited .  pack your bag  &  get ready for the wildest night of the summer .  this event will take place throughout the course of five days in total  ( friday 28th ,  8 p.m. gmt  - tuesday 2nd ,  8 p.m. gmt )  &  all previous threads will be  put on hold  until the end of the event .  you can pick them back up once it is over if you want ,  we highly encourage you all to interact with as many people as you can during the event .  we hope that you have fun  &  beware of pandora  ! 

for the new members / members who haven’t sent in their muses’ secret ,  please do as soon as possible for the sake of the event  !

1 a.m. ,  soul by splash bar .

     the area is closed off with police tape ,  the k9 german shepherds have been searching for two hours ,  but there is no sign of a bomb . all the civilians’ belongings are gathered into big black boxed  & are sent to the 1st precinct to be processed  &  then returned to their rightful owners .

7 a.m. ,  1st precinct .

many hours have gone by without any updates from the police ,  but police lieutenant michael papadopoulos is finally ready to make a statement to the media .

     “ ladies  &  gentlemen ,  i promise i will be short ,  but i would like to have your undivided attention . thankfully ,  there was no bomb at the area last night ,  though i’m afraid that’s where the good news end . at 3 a.m in the morning , a security breach was spotted by our systems ,  but until our technicians could isolate the virus  &  determine where it came from , it was unfortunately too late . an unkown subject used stolen credentials  & with the use of a high tech device ,  possibly compromised all the devices that were present in the room . while the system was rebooting ,  the perpetrator also put the cctv cameras on a loop ,  so we have no footage available at the moment . an alarming text with a link was sent to all devices ,  but we urge you to stay calm  & let the appropriate authorities handle the situation . an active investigation has opened  &  we assure you that justice will be served . i won’t be answering any questions at this point ,  thank you  ! ”

8 a.m. ,  1st precinct.

11 p.m. ,  santorini .

      a local dispatcher answered to a call referring to the beach party unraveling in the soul by splash bar .  the caller claimed that a bomb has been set somewhere along the complex  &  then hang up the phone .  while the police attempted to track down the caller ,  patrol cars set off to the location .  the sirens could be heard from every corner of the greek isle  &  once the officers reached the suspected destination they announced specific commands .

      “ ladies  &  gentleman ,  we are sorry to cut this pleasant evening short .  firstly ,  i would like to ask of you to keep your composure  &  then co-operate with the authorities so that we can evacuate the area due to a warning for a suspected bomb .  it is very likely that the tip off could be a farce ,  but for any case ,  please follow the competent bodies for the premises to be appropriately inspected .  i also have to ask you to  leave all your belongings behind ,  seeing as they could possibly be collected as evidence . ”
