@theprixrity
“I don’t know how much more of this I can swallow,” Manya spoke as she walked down the small path. Since the whole thing with Negan happened, there was a tension in the air. Rick, trying to make this a united thing where everyone got along and there were no more troubles. It was the most stupid thing she had ever saw in her entire life, and she saw what the Russian Mob did to people. She would have been gone, the second it was discovered Negan was going to stay alive. She would have packed her shit and just went back to the woods. And that would have been true, but something happened. She met Daryl, her Possum, he made Alexandria home...he was her home. He was truly the only reason why she was even entertaining this whole thing. But the more she stayed, the less her patience was wearing thin.

“YER’ AN IDIOT.” He’s crouched low to the ground, fingers hovering over snapped twigs & the remnants of footprints as he studies the tracks. “It went that way. We go the other way we’re gon’ run into a walker or somethin’.”

@theprixrity twd starter!
tony hadn’t meant to startle anybody, he’d not seen anybody for months now so he’d not thought twice when he’d seen the other man in the distance. he’d quickly realised his mistake as soon as their was a cross bow staring him directly in the face.
“woah woah, sorry. i didn’t realise. i’ve not seen anybody in a while, sorry.”
his hands flew up to prove he was unarmed and he took a step back away from the other man to keep his distance. there was no way he wanted to make him feel threatened.
“i got over excited. i’m tony.”

HEAD RESTS AGAINST THE BANISTER as the scavenger sits on the steps on Barringer House. Paul is quieter than usual, but he’s also enjoying the silence since most have gone off to bed. His gaze fixated on the small fire not far in the distance that is only smoldering now. It’s flicker holding him in a slight trance. Attention is grasped when he hears the slight scuffle of footsteps across the wood planks behind him. “Didn’t anyone ever tell you it’s rude to sneak up on people?” His tone has a slight tiredness to it, but for the most part it’s a playful tone. Paul is almost certain he knows who is standing behind him, but won’t make his guess known. He also just doesn’t bother looking up.

..... But mama, why does a males gotta fertilize my egg. What if I don't want ah baby.
“...”
She could not help but chuckle at his words, shaking her head as she looked the child over with amusement. What else would a child do if not assume it was about them? Clearly, Daryl did not understand for some concepts were still beyond his young mind’s comprehension.
“You, my dear boy, have nothing to be worried about.”

meme || @theprixrity
lisa will most likely never be completely okay with daryl -- the same she would be with maggie -- but there will come a time when her dislike/hate turns to simply civil disregard with conversation being limited to what needs to be talked about.
but with that, lisa will stick up for him or back him up if she feels he is right/agrees with him.
if daryl ever caught her crying, she’d turn her back to him and act like she’s fine and probably tell him to fuck off if he tries to talk to her ( but lbrh, she does need someone to talk to because she doesn’t really have anyone to talk to especially after the fall of the saviors; but she’s going to put on a tough act )
if lisa found moonshine and she got drunk enough, she’d hang out with daryl and even share her jar with him.

( @theprixrity liked for a s9 starter )
It’s tense.
He can pretend it’s not, throw out every rendition of everything’s fine, can be and will be fine, and hope that it’ll eventually stick. He’s not blind, but they have to struggle before they see progress.
( real progress )
His footsteps – boots against loose gravel –announce his presence before he says anything. Rick stops near him, hand at his hip, the other lifting as if in sign of a truce.
❝ I’m not out here lookin’ for the last word, ❞ he assures him, not prepared to pick an argument. The idea of being on opposite sides from Daryl – it’s unsettling.
❝ I’m headin’ back to Alexandria soon – You’re still welcome to come along. ❞

Lilo & Stitch memes!
“R-Rain..” Eleven shivered from the cold while giving an answer. Her shaky hand pointed to the window to her right, showing the active thunderstorm that she’d just run through, desperately searching for a place to hide. She thought she found it in this old abandoned shack, hidden away in the thick part of the woods, where no monster would be able to get to her. She was partially wrong, something was able to find her, but it was no monster, it was a human. She still didn’t trust him, but at least he hadn’t tried to hurt her.. yet.
“Hiding.. f-from..” With her very limited vocabulary, she had no idea how to explain the things she’s seen. The blood, the gore, the rabid people who tried to grab and bite her, it was all a confusing, scary mess to the little girl. “Weird things.. Monsters.”

"Get to the second floor."
It was always dangerous, going into large buildings where the dead could still be trapped. Carl had both seen and known people who had died because of the overwhelming number of walkers lurking within. He and Daryl were playing it smart, take every precaution possible, but things had taken a turn for the worse. Walkers had begun flooding the halls, thus blocking the exits. They could shoot all they wanted, but the two of them couldn’t take out that many walkers on their own. After shooting a few more down, the corpses creating somewhat of a barrier that the dead would stumbled and trip over, Carl looked around to see where the nearest stairway was. Daryl had suggested they get to the second floor, which was easily the safest bet right now.
“C’mon,” Carl said, taking one last glance at the walkers approaching from the other end before he began running in the direction of the sign showing stairs. The elevator definitely wasn’t going to be working, and it would be stupid to chance being cornered in there even if it had been. The door was shoved open before the teen began climbing the stairs, only to meet a walker at the first landing. It crashed into him, sending him toppling back down to land with a THUD at the bottom. The pain of it all was the last of his concerns. His gun had slipped out of his hand and slid across the floor in the process. It was now out of reach and the walker was on top of him, teeth gnashing together in an attempt to sink into whatever it could get from the living.
Hands pushed against rotting flesh that peeled away from the bone, Carl trying desperately to keep the walker’s face away from him to avoid being bitten. He considered trying to reach for his knife, but he feared that if he were to take one of his hands off, the walker would have an advantage on him. “Daryl!” He called, pulling his gaze away from the walker to look at the older male, who had been fighting to keep the dead away enough to be able to slam the door shut.

“you okay?”
The farm at night was noisy, filled with rustles as the nocturnal animals went about their business. Possums and raccoons clambered in the trees, owls hooted, frogs croaked, insects zinged, night birds called, and crickets chirped frenetically. The breeze added its own whisper to the cacophony, the pine trees swaying gently. Bluu took her time, making certain she didn’t slide off the roof as she perched there, clutching her bear close to her chest as she struggled to keep the tears at bay, but the memory of her nightmare made it impossible to control the hot burning of tears that were brimming behind her eyelids.
Bluu didn’t want to relive the memories of the shambling monsters that were hot on everyone’s heels. Pain was a lump in the middle of her chest, obstructing her breathing, making her eyes burn. She didn’t cry. She had cried for her Mama, for Uncle Michael, for everyone who’d went to heaven without her. She hadn’t cried for herself since…since…how long has it been?
“I don’t know” was her only response to Daryl’s question. Bluu shrugged one shoulder and sniffled. “I had a bad nightmare…”

“ i’m right behind ya!” For Maggie :)
@theprixrity || The Shining
Something wasn’t right. Their newly built community had eradicated the walkers from the locations surrounding the Hilltop, Alexandria, and the camp not far from the bridge they had been working on building to connect them all to the saviors for trading purposes. A peaceful alliance between joined communities and those who hurt them. It wasn’t easy to forgive and forget, not when so many of the saviors still held on to their dangerous nature. A nature Negan had embedded in to them.
They had followed Rick’s plan for far too long. They had tried it his way, an alliance with the saviors while Negan still lived was never going to work. It was time to burn the bridge between them, cut all ties with the saviors. They could fend for themselves.
Walkers, a handful of them had made it across the bridge as if they’d purposely been lead there. Sure, a few stragglers had been found on the rare occasion, but never a group this large, and with the camp less than a mile out. If Daryl and herself hadn’t found the desire to travel to the bridge right here in this moment, these walkers could have ruined so much of what they had spent so long to build. “ I knew they couldn’t be trusted. ” She whispers knowingly, nose scrunched, lips pursed. “ We have to take care of em before they reach the camp. ”
Daryl’s eagerness to join her forces the brunette to look over her shoulder, making eye contact with the bowman, sharing an understanding of the situation. They seemed to be the only ones who saw eye to eye on the matter. They needed to clear out the walkers and get rid of the bridge once and for all. Not only for them, but for their people.

‘ this place is fancy and i don’t know which fork to kill myself with. ’
alana can’t help but roll her eyes at daryl. she told him exactly what he was to expect from this dinner, that it was going to be a bunch of people with suits and ties and fancy dresses trying to out-do one and other, and put on their most false kind facade they know how to wear. at all events like this, it was almost as though people were in silent competition with one and other, it always made alana scoff; she didn’t have time for that, she just showed up, did her due diligence and left.
she swats him gently in the arm as they take their seats at a table for two. as she seats herself, she extends her leg and gives him a soft kick just for good measure. ‘ the small one would probably do the trick. ’ she says sarcastically, with a smirk, picking up the smallest fork that lay on the table, and touching the tongs with her finger, pretending that it was sharp.
‘ oh don’t be so dramatic ’ she says to him, with a tender smile. ‘ the worst part is over. ’ alana tells him, and she was actually telling the truth.
the mingling session was over, now everyone was seated with whom they came, and it was time to eat. in all hoensty, alana was entirely relieved. she wasn’t feeling overly social that day, her hips were bothering her and all she could think about was going home to have a hot bath and oddly enough, she was comforted by the fact that she knew daryl was as miserable as she was ( though, she was better at concealing it ) it made it much more bearable.
a small hand slides across the table, and lithe fingers wrap around his calloused hand. she cants her head slightly to the side and offers him a smile. ‘ you look so handsome------------thank you for coming with me. ’ she says, her voice soft and genuine.

@theprixrity || EP BASED JEBUS STARTER
“Nothing is simply black and white anymore. There are shades of grey muddled within the lines and barriers. It’s hard for most to envision where good begins and ends. I want to believe that Gregory was a good person, at least at one time he was.” Jesus has yet to look back at the archer that stands behind him and he’s not sure why he’s saying what he is.
Most didn’t like Gregory, but there’s a past that they have that the scavenger just can’t ignore. Blues stare into the sky after all has quieted down while the fire burns softly next to him. “I just don’t know where it all went wrong.”

One would think that growing up in the forest, life would be easier when you lived with people. Wrong. If anything it was harder. The way they would stare at the archer at times as if he'd said or done something wrong. How they would be wary of him. Yet, with time it got easier. He made friends and found a new family. One that could help him grow into the man he was meant to be, but some things Daryl couldn't forget. Late nights on hard days, hues would wonder to the trees. Hoping. " Mama? "
Drathenia knew that she couldn’t keep Daryl from his own kind forever, he was old enough to lead his own life. As much as she longed to protect him from their corrupted ways, he was still human and required things that she could not offer him. Try as she might, there were things she could not understand for she simply was not human.
She could only hope he would remember her lessons and stay true.
But she was never far, ever watchful. She let him endure pain and loss for they taught the most valuable lessons, he would survive them despite the struggle they posed. His battles were his own. Yet on some occasions in the stillness of the night, she would hear him call for her. Sometimes it was just because he wanted her, other times it was because he needed her. Tonight was one such occasion.
Defeated and weary from the day, his eyes that she had dried many a time before spoke more than any words. He needed reassurance and comfort that only a mother could give. Seamlessly she emerged from the depths of the shadows, and cool lips pressed a kiss atop his head.
“I’m here, my darling.”
