my katherine muse is back and so are my feels about her and her pragmatism and how sad it is and i just rewatched the DK 1x22 kiss scene and the 2x01 shitshow and i’m so upset i need to rewrite the bible again on why everything’s bullshit and why she was bluffing and why it makes     sense .          but it’s 4am .

      honestly, it was probably my first couple of years rp’ing katherine, somewhere between thepriceofsalvation and hermalevoletfacade, before the prying anons appeared. i was in such an awful place in my life and although there were the usual anxieties of the rp comm, it helped me heal so much. like — i met incredible people, some of whom i unfortunately lost contact with, but some of them ( see @cruelestdemons && @onlylovedherself && @eterniityofmisery / @sluggernegan ) are still around and making me happy as fuck everyday. not to mention my first girlfriend and the lighthearted rps with just about anyone. it was like 4 years back or so?? more perhaps?? and everything in the rp comm was way more simpler, less about the aesthetic and more about the content and the plots and the writing. i pulled off 6-paragraphs interactions in a night and it was a back and forth, it was easy because there were less cliques and perhaps i was also easier to approach, too, less bitter??? but yeah. that and a couple rpg’s, including the first / second one i created until it went to shit for lots of reasons.

       Don’t ask Rebekah why exactly she was shopping with Katherine Pierce.

                  Well, maybe it was her lack of options. It wasn’t like she enjoyed Elena’s, Caroline’s or Bonnie’s company. Or, truth be told, anyone’s company. Maybe she could have dragged Elijah with her, but, seriously, he was boring to go shopping with. Katherine didn’t have much options either, because the people there weren’t really in love with her either. And then there was the fact that Katherine had quite a good taste in clothes, which was more that she could say about most of the people in this ridiculous little town. And in shoes— Well, she could point out a few good things in the doppelganger if she truly wanted to.

     ❝Can you hurry up, Rebekah? You’ve been choosing a pair of heels for about an hour now.❞ Katherine said, and Rebekah rolled her eyes at her words, her sight leaving during a second the pair of shoes she had in her hand to look at the brunette. Katherine had had enough luck  to find those she wanted not so long ago and without having too much trouble. Rebekah, on the other hand, had been staring at two of them without deciding during most of the time. For someone who complained so much about Elena’s indecisiveness, Katherine thought, she was really spending a lot of time trying to decide which thing she wanted.

           ❝Did I complain when you tried at least five different shirts to end up taking most of them?❞ Rebekah asked, although she had complained a lot during the time she had spent sitting waiting for the doppelganger to decide what she wanted to do. ❝Whatever—❞ the blonde said, seeing how Katherine opened her mouth again, the sarcasm already visible in her features. ❝I’m taking both.❞

           Rebekah shrugged, and Katherine sighted as she grabbed her own bag and started to walk towards the exit. ❝Finally.❞ she muttered, but Rebekah heard her all the same. Rebekah smirked at her during a second before looking away, following her to get out of there before she truly started to consider wherever coming shopping with her was really worth it.

The servant grew up before God—a scrawny seedling, a scrubby plant in a parched field. There was nothing attractive about him, nothing to cause us to take a second look.
