Not So Berry Challenge Candie Edition: Rose Play 2 (Part 2)

Cheri's fist day as a high schooler is amazing! Well, it started off a little shaky after a hacking incident, but it was completely innocent. After talking with some classmates in homeroom, they came up with a plan to hack into the school's Simstagram account to show some love and encouragement. To tell everyone that they had this and they were in it together. The principle wasn't exactly down with that, but at least she got off with a warning.

Then, because of her fabulous presentation introducing herself to her art class (the things you can create in twenty minutes if you just give it every ounce of your heart), her teacher nominated her for Student of the Millennium. It's an honor that goes to promising students who have the potential to make their mark on their generation. Usually, it's not awarded until the end of the school year, but that's just how blown away the teacher was.  

After school, everyone meets up at the Sparks Art Center for a Back to School Party. And because Cheri was nominated as Student of the Millennium, she was also asked to give the welcoming speech. Only, it looks like someone else beat her to it. No one said anything about superstar Thorne Bailey joining the party.

Roci says that apparently he's an alumni at the Sparks center and was asked to make an appearance. The only problem with that is it's not just students attending this impromptu meet and greet. It's pretty much a paparazzi free for all.

Cheri gets up on stage to give her incredible speech she wrote, but no one's listening. Why? Because they're too busy posing for selfies with Thorne. Which means, she's pretty much invisible. Considering today isn't her best skin day, she should be okay with that.

But she's not. This is supposed to be her moment to lift up her peers and remind them that they can do anything. Instead, they're going wild over some celebrity as if he's any better than them when they have the potential to be just as great. The least he can do is tell them that himself.

She politely introduces herself to Thorne and invites him to speak to her classmates, but unfortunately he was only paid to show up. In other words, he just came for the check. Not to speak uplifting words to these kids that could actually make a difference in his life. No.  He just did it for the likes. Okay, dude...And now his reputation makes complete sense.

Cheri is so over this. On her way out, she hears music coming from the dance studio. Walking in, she's surprised to see Roci doing some incredible choreography. Cheri says she had no idea she could dance like that. Roci says she's still working out the steps, but is thinking about using it to audition for the Sparks dance team. Cheri encourages her to totally  join the team. She's an amazing dancer. Roci asks Cheri if she wants her to teach her the routine and Cheri is so down. Dancing happens to be her second favorite form of anger management.

As they practice Roci's choreo, Cheri feels bad for judging her before she got to know how cool she is. She makes a promise to herself to never prejudge a book by its cover because you never really know what's inside. Who knows? She may have just met another best friend. They could even make a club of their own. #ThePartyPeople.

When Cheri gets home she goes straight to Instagram to post about how people should start hyping up their neighbors as much as they hype up celebrities. There is mad talent all around them, but everyone's so focused on the next breakout star that they can't see the stars shining around them every day.

So she issues a challenge for her classmates. The next time they see someone doing something dope, show them some love. #LightThemUp.

Suddenly, her phone is buzzing with likes. Twenty new followers?! Looks like people are actually listening. And so is she.
