oh Gmail notification, I've missed you...
#context#so my gmail app stopped doing push notifications for new emails months ago#so i just needed to check the email widget for new emails for a time#then relatively recently the widget stopped updating until i went into the actual app to check#all of this was unexplained#i updated the app and restarted it and everything#but it just didn't send a push notification or update the widget no matter what i did#until literally just a few minutes ago#no idea what's going on with it and why it just now decided to work#but im happy as long as it stays this way
