.
.
.
The weeks leading up to yours and Aemond's wedding was long and dark. Before, you were neutral. Not wanting to stir up a frenzy as Aegon - sorry, King Aegon the second of his name - striped you of all your titles and officially and publicly, declared you a bastard. You wanted to let your mother, Rhaenyra, know you were going to do your duty. And with sadness in her eyes, she nodded before kissing your head, and sending you away. But just as you were settled and content with Aemond, word got you that he had chased your little brother, lucerys into the storm with his war dragon and killed him. Now you were furious. You then made a new promise to your mother, you would avenge luke.
And eye for an eye. A son for a son. A brother for a brother.
As the days came and went, your name day arrived just as quickly as it had left. The day was as it was before. You were woken up by a maid, Luciana, bathed, and dressed. But something was off. The dress you had choose was more tight around your waist, even your maid, as she dressed you, said so. You didn't too much of it until as you ate, you felt ill...at food you were known to love. Your mother managed to to put two and two together and sure enough, it was confirmed. You were with child.
You shutter at the thought of Aemond finding out. His smirking face. You haven't known peace since Aemond lost his eye to Luke many years ago. Calling you and your brothers bastards with you rushing at him, to defend yourself and your brothers. Ending with him nearly breaking Jace's face in with a large rock and Luke upper cutting a knife, taking Aemond's eye with it.
Through out the day, you had manage to avoid the devil kinslayer himself. You told Luciana and she swore to keep it from Aemond. You made her promise. You already lost Luke, you couldn't lose anymore. You escape him after breakfast, as you ran into him in the gardens, and as you talked with Helena. You also slipped out just in time as you knew Aemond entered the library before going back to your chambers.
A few moments of bliss go by before there is a knock at the door. You don't feel like opening it but when you tell whoever it is to come in, they don't.
"Your grace..."
Luciana! She sounded...sad? Huh.
"Luciana? What are you doing out there? Come in!"
"I think it's best if I just remained out here. For now."
Now you were confused. What in seven hells was going on?
"I...told Aemond."
You nearly drop the book you were reading. "Told him...what? Exactly?"
"That you were with child. His child."
You shoot up and out of your chair, jumping toward the door to spring it open and yell out your lungs. But you hold off. You consider Luciana a friend. Surely there must be a perfectly good reason why she told Aemond when you asked her to keep it to herself.
"I know you want revenge for Luke. And for your mother. But Aemond is too strong. Aegon is too strong. We're done. We have been done. I showed him the plans. He loves you. You have his child. An heir."
The plans? Fuck. The plans. The plans that included how you were going to overthrow the brat king Aegon and place your mother on the iron throne. "Fuck you, Luciana." You quietly say. "I thought you were my friend!"
"I am! Which is why I had to tell him. Believe me. I saved both our lives."
"He's going to come for me now," you state. You weren't terrified of him. Oh no. You were just lost on what to do. You were a planner and as a planner you needed instruction and this was definitely not apart of your plan.
"He won't."
As you hear Luciana walking away, you get up and looking around the room. Then you spot the knife. The knife that Luke used on Aemond's eye. Maybe you didn't need plans...
Just as you thought, as you ripped the fabric from the stomach area of your dress, Aemond rushes in, looking furious.
"I thought we could name him after my brother you killed" you say.
"I will cut your fucking throat!" He grabs his dagger, placing it to your throat.
"Go ahead. Aim for the stomach. You said that worked."
"You think a child will stop me!?"
"Not just any child." You state. "A male heir. Viserys's grandchild. Your son. The preservation of your line. Your blood. And no doubt a cutie."
"I loved you!"
You shake your head. "You don't. But if you did, you feel as though this affected it drastically?"
He nods. "As you did have plans to kill me? Yes, it did."
Chuckling, you say, "I planned to make take your head as a gift to my mother," quoting his words right back to him before he went after lucerys.
"Un-fucking-believable. I'm about to cut your throat and all you can do is make jokes?"
"Perhaps that is why you love me so. Now," you place his free hand onto your lower stomach. "Say hello."
"No..." His voice comes out much softer then when he had came to confront you. "He's really there?"
"Just under your hand."
"Fuck- I can't believe he's really there."
"Just under the skin. Your son."
He lowers the dagger. "You don't know it's a boy."
"He feels dumb, so I suspect it strongly."
He points the dagger toward you. "I have a dagger."
"You won't do it," you say "you love me and you love your son. Our son. You won't kill us."
"Why don't you fucking love me, by the way?"
"I do," you admit. "In a way."
"When I cut your heart out, I'll look in it to see if it was true! Any woman can give me an heir!"
"So, kill us then."
A moment of silence.
"Wait, I just need..." He places the dagger down on the table and bends down, putting his ear to your stomach, listening to the heart beat of his soon to be son. "No...I can't. Fuck!"
You look to see his violet eye teary eye with a tear dropping. Something in you changes as you do. But you stand firm. "Give it up. My mother will be better. She is better. I do not wish for any more bloodshed. I knew killing Lucerys was a misstep for you. After all I am...strong." Using that name that Aemond had used so many times.
"And why would I do that?"
Another moment of silence.
"Hypothetically. A woman. Who has loathed you. Tried to kill you. Planned to over throw you. And planned to imprison you. Were to walk into this room and tells you...she loves you. What would you do?"
-🔥
OOOOOO nonnie you have blessed us with another blurb, I love this 😍😩
I could so see this with Aemond especially!! he’s torn between his loyalty to serve and protect his family although, you are his family now… growing his family. he genuinely has loved you, although has been in denial about it, cause you never reciprocated anything either.
but once he feels his babs in your stomach, that’s it for him….

Headcanons #3 [Quirk- Panda! Edition]
so, this was requested by a v cute anon and oml i just-- i wanna draw this panda girl :)) also it was specifically requested fem so that is what i shall be doing. so, quirk- panda, what is it?
You have big fuzzy panda ears which give you remarkable hearing, and you’re an exceptional climber. You can climb any surface, no matter how steep, and overall you’re just a cutie. And in the last one you have a few black circles going under your eyes. No homo tho. ;)
Bakugo:
Well, Bakugo doesn’t associate with ‘cute’
I mean, it’s just not very intimidating or something a guy like him would look at and go
“i need that”
But oh boy when he met you that changed
Look, you have panda ears
He had a sudden urge to just
cuddle
the
panda
Do Not Ask WhyTM
He doesn’t know himself
But he’ll be damned if he’s giving into those urges
Until, of course...
It was lunchtime, you were sat at a table (next to Bakugo of course) and eating your food. There were a few others at the table, but Bakugo was mostly focused on you.
Once again he was wondering what they felt like- your ears, that is. Were they soft? Were they fluffy? Or were they smooth? Did they feel like velvet? Or silk? He had to know. But he just couldn’t bring himself to ask.
That was until Kirishima asked you about it. It was a throwaway comment, something like- “Hey, [Name], what’s it like having different ears?”
And boom. Suddenly everyone wanted to touch them. You didn’t mind much, it was mostly the girls who just wanted to know what they felt like. Mina often compared them to her horns, so it was fine.
That was until a certain ash-blond reached over and gently tweaked one of them. You went slightly pink and smiled. “Wow, Katsuki, didn’t take you to be that kinda guy.”
At that he realised what he was doing, and hastily yanked his hand away. “I- Shut it, Fuzzy! That’s- you-!” He spluttered, much to your amusement.
You simply reached over and placed his hand back on your ears. “You’re way too obvious, all ya had to do was ask.” He grumbled quietly, but never actually said he didn’t want to, so... ;)
Mina:
Oh lord
You’ll never get away from her hands
That’s not a bad thing either
She’s just smitten with the idea of her crush having these cute round ears
Also
Horns, ears, same thing!
She loves the similarities between the two of you
And she’s not afraid to show it, either
Like everyday after school, you were hanging around Mina’s house. Her mum always bought ready-made bamboo shoots for you (yes, they’re a real thing) so that was a bonus.
The only sound that could be heard was crunching, as well as the occasional sound from the game Mina was playing. Your head was resting on her shoulder as you watched the little character run around whacking Boon with their bug net.
You flushed a crimson feeling her hand run through your hair and then over the back of your ears. It wasn’t the first time, but it sometimes caught you off guard.
“Whassamatter, hon?” She giggled, making you grin. “You need to warn me when you do that, y’know?” “Yep, just teasing. You’re cute when you’re flustered.”
Tsuyu:
Not exactly the kind of person you’d expect to gain a crush, but here she is
This lil froggy is just so happy that she found another person with an animal quirk to be honest
You’re no exception, you want to know just how similar you two are
She genuinely cares for you and wants to take her time, too
After all, loosing you isn’t an option
Her favourite thing to do is hold your hand, because then she see you and keep you close
It can be hard to know what she’s thinking
But you’re one of the few people who can figure it out
Rain. You didn’t really like it. Pandas aren’t exactly known for their love of water, so it made sense. However your cute froggy friend did.
“[Name], I thought you’d gone home kero.” Speaking of which, she’d just spotted you standing at the edge of Heights Alliance, waiting and watching.
“Hey, I’m just waiting for this god damned rain to end. I didn’t bring an umbrella, see.” She nodded thoughtfully, and then produced something from her bag.
A dark green umbrella. Oh.
“Here, want to share mine, kero?” “Aw, Tsu, you’re too kind.” You grinned, stepping closer. The height difference was something you loved to joke about, and Tsuyu secretly liked the fact that you were taller.
She held the umbrella in her left hand, and took yours in her right. You gave a small squeeze of reassurance. “What would I do without you, hm?”
Denki:
Crushes were normal for Denki
He’d liked practically every girl (and maybe even guy) he’d seen
He at least flirted with them
But with you it was different
It was like he used up all of his electricity and was in constant idiot mode around you
He can’t help it!
Poor bean, he just wants to impress you
But he usually just ends up dropping whatever he’s holding or tripping over his shoelaces
You found it pretty cute, not gonna lie
To you, he was like a ray of sunshine
Always smiling and goofing off
And that clumsiness?
*smack sound*
N i c e
He just wants to spend all his time with you, not even in a romantic way sometimes
He loves your energy and personality more than anything
So!! Cute!! And!! Nice!!
“Hey, [Name], watch this!” You leant across the back of your chair, watching the blonde balance a pen on his nose.
“You look like an idiot.” His eyes widened slightly and he tipped his head a little too far back, resulting in him being jabbed in the eye. His face erupted in red as he blinked the ache away.
“Aha, oops?” You simply shook your head, with a small eye-roll. “Yep, definitely an idiot.” You stated, getting up and sitting besides him.
“Your my idiot though.” You giggled, giving a chaste kiss to his cheek, causing his blush to worsen (in a good way.)
“Wheyy...”
Jiro:
A crush you say?
Nope
Nuh-uh
“i’vE ALREADY SAID IT’S NOT A CRUSH I JUST ADMIRE HER JACKASS!”
Jiro isn’t usually so worked up about things, but...
Bby just wants to deny her feelings
There’s no way you’d like her back
You’re so pretty and funny
And smart, kind, friendly, open, comforting...
Jiro could go on for hours about how great you were
In a completely non-romantic way of course!!
“Face the facts girl. You’ve got it baaad.”
With a sigh she might just have to accept her own feelings
“Does she like me back, though?”
“Who?” Jiro flinched in her seat, and Kirishima snickered. “Oh, looks like I’ve gotta shoot off. See you Jiro, take care of her for me [Name]!” Oh Kiri, you evil wing-man.
“So what were you two talking about?” You inquired, despite the fact that you already knew. Eavesdropping is easy with two big fluffy ears.
“Er- nothing too important, just stuff.” She said nonchalantly. You almost believed her, were it not for the fact that you literally heard her confess for you mere moments ago.
“Alrighty then. Hey, you wanna know something?” You beckoned for her to lean closer, and when she did, you whispered in her ear.
“The best part of having a panda quirk is that I can hear things even when I’m not there. That being said, you free on Saturday?”
You’d never seen her show so much emotion, yet here Jiro was, cheeks dusted pink and a small smile on her lips.
Todoroki:
This lad is starved of love
All kinds
So naturally he has no idea what to do when he realises he might be falling for you
His father would definitely not approve, but if anything that made it all the more better
You were a good listener
With ears like those, it was kind of a given to be frank
And there was another thing, too
You also had markings on your face
Maybe the way you got them was different, but they were there
Little black circles under your eyes, decreasing in size as they went inwards
You weren’t a massive fan, usually you covered them with makeup but he loved them
And you weren’t going to lie, having someone like him around was nice
Perhaps a teeny bit of chemistry??
Just a smidge :)
You didn’t think he could be so sweet also, but you couldn’t be more wrong
Knock!
It was one of those days. Listening to music, and applying the perfect amount of concealer to hide those markings. It wasn’t that you hated the way you looked all the time, it was just... them.
They didn’t suit you, in your opinion, and you felt rather self conscious of them. You cursed, seeing that there was no concealer left. All you’d done was swatch it on your arm!
“Fuck...” You mumbled to yourself, flopping backwards on the bed. Ah well, you’d ask to borrow some from Momo tomorrow maybe. At least here in your dorm no-one could see you and your face right now.
Knock!
‘Well smack me sideways, whyyy?’ You groaned, but got up and padded to the door anyway.
What a pleasant surprise. “Eyo, Shouto, what’s up pal?” You let him into your room, flopping down on your bed and patting the space next to you so he could sit.
Befriending the icy guy was difficult but rewarding, as he was a true friend. Maybe even more, with that look...
“I’m bored. I wanted to see you.” Alright, forward much? You grinned, batting your seal plush out of the way and leaning a little on your pillow(s). “That’s great, but you caught me at a horrible time.”
“Oh really?” “Mm, ran out of concealer.” He gave you a quizzical look. “Which product is that?” You stifled a laugh. “The one I use to cover these,”
You pointed to your markings, and he sighed. “Do you have to? They’re part of you, are you really going to pretend they don’t exist forever?”
“Yep, my hero suit is designed like that for a reason. But you know all that.” He hummed. “Yeah, I do. But it doesn’t stop me from questioning your choices. I think you should leave them.”
Ah, that was Todoroki. Blunt as a butter knife. You rolled your eyes, covering your markings with your hands unconsciously. “They’re ugly and I hate them. I was reading into surgery you can get, like tattoo removal for people who dislike the way their quirks make them look. I might get--”
You couldn’t finish you sentence as he had shushed you with one hand.
“[Name] for goodness sake, they look amazing. Do not get surgery, they are part of you and every last inch of you is perfect to me. Please quit covering them up, I love them- and you.”
so, what did you think? i’m kinda tired today so some of them might be kinda ooc, but hey thats what headcanons are for. hope you enjoyed anon, i’m pleased with these.
also i finally settled on a headcanons format. i’ve been experimenting with the last few and i think this is gucci
also also sorry i didn’t do oneshots this week, i’m kinda abandoning my schedule cos school and my wattpad account. can’t manage all three lmao. welp bye no homo love ya

I'M BAAAACKKKK!!!!
Hey! So I have been working really hard on this and if you guys like it, I might do more!
I’m tagging @spookyboywhump because oml go check his blog. He is amazing at writing! He inspired me to sorta write this. So a big thanks!
Okay enough blah blah. Let's get into this. I'm sorry it's a slow start but please give me a chance! It's not super whumpy just because I'm just really introducing the characters. Okii imma shut up now, enjoy y’all!
TW: //Knives//
“You stupid boy!” Finneas shouted as he backhanded James in the face. James fell to the ground like a ragdoll. “Clean up this mess, now!”
James quickly got to his feet and ran into the kitchen. He opened the cupboards quickly. He looked for the vinegar. It was there somewhere it had to be! “Hurry up boy!” Finneas shouted from the sitting room. James looked quicker and eventually found it. He then looked for some baking powder.
He dashed into Finneas and sprinkled the baking powder on the wine-stained carpet. It wasn't his fault that he had spilt the wine. Finneas gave him a fright. He then poured the vinegar on the powder. It fizzed and bubbles appeared. Good.  It's working.
“I-it will take an hour for the stain to fully disappear sir.” “An hour?!” Finneas shouted, “I have a guest coming over in five minutes, I won’t wait an hour!” “I-I can't do anything else sir, that's all I can do!” “Are you talking back boy?!” “N-no sir, I-I’m sorry-” Finneas slapped him again and then grabbed him by his chin tightly, “Listen here boy, if you can't get this stain out of that fucking carpet, I guess you could be good entertainment for my guests.” A wicked smile spread across his face.
James hung his head when Finneas let go of his chin. There was nothing he could do and that’s why Finneas had made him spill the wine. He knew it would take a while for the stain to go.
A few minutes later there was a knock on the door. James was tied to a metal chair that was stuck to the ground. He was blindfolded. His heart stopped as he heard footsteps in the room.
“So this is who I have been hearing about. Oh my, he's even more handsome than I pictured him.” It was a girl’s voice. He felt fingers play with his locks of hair. He was waiting for his head to be yanked but nothing happened. The fingers just slowly ran through his hair. Maybe this couldn't be too bad.
“Can I take this off?” She asked, pointing to the blindfold. “Fine,” Finneas said coldly. As the blindfold was removed, James had to blink a few times, it was too bright. There was a bright white light right above him.
He quickly looked over to the woman, she was pretty. She had long black hair that was tied into two neat braids. He suddenly took his eyes off her when he felt a sharp pain in his thigh. He looked down, there was a knife sticking out of his leg. He had never been stabbed before. He was in too much shock to scream, his mouth was open. “Aww, no fun, you said I could play with him,” The woman whined. “Yes Amber, play. You're not here for chit chat.”
Amber. That seemed like a nice name for a nice person. Not someone who would do anything ba-. James was interrupted from his thoughts by Amber twisting the knife that was in his leg. James started screaming. He wasn't expecting that. He thought she’d be nice!
Amber started laughing and pushed the knife deeper. James threw his head back as the knife’s tip hit his bone. “Argh!” “Awww he's so cute,” Amber chuckled as she took the knife slowly out of his leg and started tracing James’ jaw with it.
James’ breath became shorter. The knife started to draw blood just under his cheekbone. “Oh baby,” She whispered in his ear, “We're only getting started.”

REQUEST.: “ hi! idk if u have any rules against this but could you please do something with bucky where you’re best friends/he’s your trainer + you have an eating disorder and you don’t want anyone to know but you faint (or something else if it fits your storyline better) and are kind of forced to? Thank you <33″ A/N: Of course, I wrote it female since that’s what i’m most comfortable with, and I just gave her a name to make it easier. <3  Characters: The Winter Soldier/Bucky Barnes x Mia Warnings: MENTAL HEALTH, EATING DISORDER, ANXIETY, DARK THOUGHTS. Read with care. Summary: Mia is a rookie agent with an eating disorder who only has one person she feels good around. Word Count: 2800.  Picture source: found on google oml.
Tumblr media
Mia hated Tonys parties.
Mindless talking and laughing. Fake smiles. Drinking.
Pretty girls. Skinny girls.
Eating.
She swallowed at the last thought. Holding a drink in one hand and her purse in the other, she stayed close to the exit. She didn’t intend to drink it, but it might look weird if she didn’t have one. And she did not want exra attention in any way.
She loved Tony; he had given her the opportunity of a lifetime working with him and his team of Avengers. She just couldn’t stand being in these situations. And he knew that. He never forced her to come but he always invited her, so she had the option.
Although, for someone like Mia, who was a in many ways… sensitive, an invitation was something one couldn’t pass down. So, she always showed. She owed it to him. To them. She was never a good agent, but apparently, they saw potential in her and wanted to train her and help her up.
So, she would force herself through awkward small talk, questions.
They would always ask her things. She hated questions. They all led to an inevitable one.
“Hey Mia, wanna grab something to eat?” Natasha.
Mia almost jumped at the voice.
“Woah, easy there, space walker,” the older woman smiled.
Space walker. That was what they would call Mia. She was always lost in thought, far away, in the furthest back of her mind. Away from the world. It made her jumpy, which wasn’t fun for her but unfortunately, it was fun for everyone else.
Swallowing before putting on her usual smile that never really reached her eyes, she shook her head no.
“No thanks, Nat, I ate before I came,” she smiled at her friend. Lies.
“Yes, you always do, but you came 2 hours ago,” Nat pushed.
Mia knew Natasha wasn’t being nasty to her on purpose, but in her mind, she had a growing feeling of hate towards anyone who tried to push her in that direction. Mia was fully aware that to them, it wasn’t a big deal, so when they get a no; they ask again. Because surely, the question food and answer no could not go together.
But Mia wasn’t one to show her true feelings. They were always hidden and protected in the depths of her chest. She would just laugh along no matter how painful it felt. So, she did.
“I appreciate you looking out for me, I’m just not hungry yet,” Mia answered with a comforting smile and Nat shrugged before patting Mia’s shoulder, walking away.
These words were forged into her mind, on repeat. They were a mixtape that would start itself whenever the topic came up. Her mind was on autopilot. She had practiced these lines for a long time. This way it didn’t hurt her so much to talk about the subject of food, because the words she said were said so many times in her head that they were essentially meaningless in conversation.
She was a natural born liar. Maybe that was what Tony and his team had seen in her. She could lie like no one else. She even had Natasha fooled.
The only person she could not fool was a certain dark figure that would help her train at night. He was her complete opposite. Though so similar. The difference was her façade. He didn’t bother putting one up. Mia liked that about him. She liked a lot about him, but that was one of the things she admired.
And hated.
As if it was so easy to not give a fuck about everything.
He never showed up to these things. She liked that too. He didn’t do what he didn’t want. Though she wished he would come. She never really talked much when they were together. He didn’t either. It wasn’t necessary.
He saw straight through her. He didn’t say what he saw, he didn’t even say he did see through her. But Mia knew. He didn’t take anyone’s bullshit. He didn’t trust a word that came out of anyone’s mouth. He trusted himself.
You’ll never be pretty enough for him.
Mia closed her eyes tightly. She hated herself. She hated these parties, but there was one advantage to them. They were full of people. Noise. When she was here, the evil thoughts in her mind didn’t really push through that easily.
Hate was a strong word. She hated using it. Yet it felt right. She hated seeing herself. She hated hearing herself, all the stupid things she would say. She would usually practice what to say when she was on her own, making up small talk that would keep people entertained. But if she didn’t come prepared, her mouth would run free in a leap to save herself.
And she hated it. She wanted to sow her mouth shut. She wanted to be anything but herself. The only one who really made her feel slightly comfortable was her training buddy. He didn’t let her pity herself.
Put on something to hide your ugly curves.
Mia swallowed hard as she whispered to herself, “shut up.”
So, she decided she would retire from the party early, and go to the one place she knew he was.
After going through several work-out outfits, she had stood in front of the mirror. She had cried a little. Cursed a little. The regularly scheduled program for putting on clothes every day.
Her tears had ruined her make-up, so she had to remove it, and decided to just cover the redness around her eyes with some concealer. He had seen her without make up many times, it would be fine today too.
Poor guy.
Shaking her head viciously, Mia ran out the door, away from the mirrors and clothes. She took the elevator to the floor where they would train. It was 11.45 pm, nobody was there. Except James of course. He was always there when no one else was.
She stood in the shadow against a wall in the far end of the room, watching him. She was always nervous of approaching people. She wanted to know that she didn’t interrupt anything before stepping up to him.
He was sitting on the bottom steps of a big stand, flipping a knife elegantly between his fingers. The vacuuming feeling in her stomach turned to butterflies. There was something about a man doing something he’s effortlessly good at that was so compelling to her.
After watching him for a while, lost in thought and conflict with herself, his head snapped up. His eyes met hers.
Mia gasped. He gave her a little smirk before going back to his knife. Of course, she knew that he knew she was there. But she still got rudely pulled out of her day- eh, evening dreaming.
Taking a deep breath, she waddled over to him. She was always very uncomfortable in the beginning of situations. With others that nervousness just got worse as time went, but around James, she eased up a little. He gave her a tiny smile as she sat on the steps, away from him. None of them were very comfortable with people close to them.
Meeting eyes with him, she raised her brows. Her usual way of asking for a fight. He grinned and put his knife away before standing up. Mia stood up as well, stepping onto the mat in front of the steps.
James just stood there. He wanted her to go first. She hated that. She thought it was embarrassing, because she knew he was analyzing her body. She knew he did it to predict the moves, but she felt so… uncomfortable with him looking at her.
Mia wanted him to see her. She wanted to impress him. She wanted him to like her.
He’s just helping you out of pity for you.
Swallowing, she ran at him.
Of course, she doesn’t stand a chance to a man with super strength and a metal arm, but that was not the point.
She jumped on him, wrapping her legs around his torso. He caught her, though his metall arm was caught between her and his body, so she managed to grab his other one and twist it. He, of course, easily twisted it back out and pushed her body away with his metal arm. She stumbled to the floor but jumped up and an at him again.
This went on for a few minutes until she stepped back a little, breathing heavily. James gave her a smile, so she knew she didn’t do too bad.
She didn’t feel like he thought she was disgusting.
He doesn’t speak, you wouldn’t know.
The thought stopped her. Her body froze. James’ eyes went to her. She stared at him.
What if that was why he never spoke? Maybe he didn’t speak because he didn’t want to speak to her.
Oh my God, he does think I’m disgusting. How could I be so wrong the whole time?
Mia opened her mouth to speak, but no words came out. He straightened his back up.
Her lower lip quivered, and she felt tears push their way to her eyes. James was frowning now.
Look at him. Look at you. You should’ve listened to us.
Mia felt cold. Like all the blood in her body just vanished to her legs. Her breathing got harder.
James slowly stood up and stepped towards her.
“I should’ve-” she started, but her vision was slowly turning to fog. Reaching out to grip anything, she couldn’t move. Couldn’t see.
 “What happened?”
“She fainted.”
“Yes, obviously, but why?”
“I don’t know.”
“Do you know anything?”
“How is you guys’ arguing going to help here?”
“I’ll see her later, don’t do anything stupid till I’m back, please.”
“I’ll go with you.”
“Yeah, great, whatever.”
Blinking, Mia squinted her eyes against the bright light.
What the hell?
Swallowing a lump in her throat, she reached up to rub her eyes. She noticed something pulling on her hand. Looking at it, she saw a tube in her arm.
Behind her hand, there was James. He was sitting on a chair next to her bed, looking at her with a frown.
Clearing her throat, she asked him what happened.
“You don’t remember?”
Mia looked at him for a good minute. Her mind was in pieces. But she did remember. She just didn’t know how she got where they were now.
“Yeah, I just… I meant how I got here.”
James nodded his head slowly.
“I carried you.”
Mia’s heart felt like it stopped.
“W… what?”
“I carried you. You fainted.”
Mia felt her heart drum in her chest. Now he knew how heavy she was. She couldn’t breathe. She wanted to scream. Now he knew how fat she was. That was it. She would never even look at food again. Never smell it. Never.
Her body was shaking, tears squeezed their way out of her eyes. The machines around her started making noises. James was calling out to her, but she couldn’t hear. She wouldn’t hear. She couldn’t look at him.
Someone burst through the door. She didn’t see who, didn’t care. All she cared about was how embarrassed and disgusting she felt. How ugly she felt. How fat she felt.
The people around her were running around, she didn’t know.
“It seems she’s having an anxiety attack. I need everyone to clear the room. Give her some space guys.”
Mia couldn’t breathe. The air would not go into her lungs. Her chest felt swollen. Her body hurt. Her head hurt.
“Sweetheart, breathe with me.”
A hand was on Mia’s forehead, stroking her hair. It felt good.
Don’t listen to her. Listen to us.
“Breathe with me now, come on Mia.”
She could vaguely hear the woman’s breaths. She tried to follow her rhythm.
You’re disgusting, and they all know it now.
Her tears wouldn’t stop as her shaking got worse.
“Come on Mia, look at the window. Look at the windowsill, follow it with your eyes.”
Mia looked over at it, it was blurry, but she saw it.
“Follow the top sill, breathe in. Follow the left sill, breathe out. Follow the bottom sill, breathe in. Follow the right sill, breathe out.”
As the woman was talking, Mia did as she was told. It was shaky. At first. Going around and around the windowsill more times than she could count, she noticed it got easier.
After a while of that, and of the woman brushing her hand over her head, she started feeling better.
Still not good, but better.
Her body slowly let the muscles relax. She sunk into the mattress. It felt like she was sinking into the ground. Relief flooded her system as she managed to take a deep breath in and a long breath out.
She couldn’t help the tiny smile that formed on her lips. The woman, who she now saw was a nurse, smiled warmly at her. She was an older woman. Probably a mother. Maybe even a grandmother.
“Hey, beautiful,” she whispered.
Lies!
Mia ignored the thoughts. She felt tears well up in her eyes again. But this time it was a strange feeling. It wasn’t tears of hate.
“I’m not beautiful…” Mia whispered back.
“Oh, yes you are. And you’re strong. Trust me when I say this, because my daughter was just like you. And she got through it,”
Mia sobbed into her shoulder as the woman hugged her.
“And I know you’re in a place where we can’t really pull you out. That’s your job. But it all starts with one tiny speck of hope, and I’m here to give you that.”
Mia squeezed the woman, she didn’t know what to say, or what to do. She felt her mind go into whirlwinds of emotions. She didn’t believe it, but she also didn’t believe the woman would lie.
“I won’t be able to help you once you’re out of the hospital, but I know someone who wants to. Someone you mean a lot more to than you think. The one that was the most worried out of all your friends,” The woman leaned back from Mia and smiled at her.
“I know you won’t believe it at first, but give him a chance, please. He has been here the whole night watching over you.”
Mia was confused. Who was she talking about?
The nurse stepped aside, and Mia could see James through the glass in the door. He was worried. She saw that. She didn’t understand why, but she couldn’t deny it.
“I haven’t told any of your friends. If you want them to know what you’re struggling with, that’s completely up to you. But this gentleman… you won’t have to tell.”
Mia looked at her with a shocked expression.
“What?”
She felt her walls, the ones she had worked so hard on building, crumbling. He couldn’t know.
“He’s the one who told me.”
Mia was even more confused. She shook her head.
“Wha- He doesn’t know.”
The woman smiled at Mia again.
“He said he’s known for quite some time. I need to see someone else now, but I’ll come back a little later. You want me to send him in?”
Mia was mortified. He couldn’t know. She would never tell a soul. She had promised herself. It was her secret. How did he know?
But she wanted him there.
She looked at the nurse, and she seemed to understand.
After she walked out, it took only a few seconds before James came in. He lowered the lights a little. He didn’t like bright lights, and she didn’t either.
He sat down next to her and looked at her.
Mia didn’t know what to say or do. Her mouth just hung slightly agape, trying to form words.
“You don’t need to say anything. Just know that I want to help.”
“… Why?”
“You’re… a little like me. You seem to know where to stop pushing me, others don’t. And... you call me James.”
His voice was low like a whisper, but firm. And Mia knew how much what he said meant. It was exactly that she liked with him as well.
“And… there is absolutely nothing wrong with how you look. To me…” he looked down, seeming to contemplate whether he dared to speak the next words.
“To me… you’re beautiful. And, not just because of your looks. You don’t give up. You keep fighting.”
Mia felt tears run down her cheeks. It was strange. Crying because you’re happy.
“No one has called me beautiful before…”
“That’s their problem.”
Mia didn’t know what to say now.
“You don’t need people who don’t do you good. You need those who wants to give you something back. You need me.”
Mia sniffed with a smile as she reached out for James to take her hand. He looked at it for a few seconds before grabbing her hand with his human one.
“You know... this is the first time we’re talking.”
“Yes,” James gave her hand a firm squeeze.
“And it will not be the last.”

Tumblr media
THEN:
He stared at you, emotionless, yet it still pierced your heart with caution and slight discomfort. Your breath hitched in your throats and you brought the telescope away from your face.
“What?” Ellie asked, hearing your slight gasp. “Who was it?!”
Focusing again within the trees, you looked again.
The man had disappeared.
NOW:
But your mind lingered on his face. You hadn’t seen him before. Why had he helped you? Whoever this was, he didn’t give you a good feeling.
“Y/N!”
You snapped out of it. “What?”
“Who did you see?!”
“Oh, um, I don’t really know. I’ve never seen him before.” Your heart strained uncomfortably.
Maybe it was just the look in his eyes.
“Let’s keep going, anyway. He obviously wasn’t waiting for a ‘thank you’, so we can get on with going where we need to go.”
“Which is?”
You looked at Ellie. She was right. You had no idea where you were going.
But there was no way you were gonna tell her that.
“Let’s figure out what we’re doing.” Pulling out a map and the picture your mother provided, you kneeled on the grass.
There must be something that could tell us where to go.
You stared hard at the picture, waiting for something to magically appear. I suppose it was beginner’s luck, because coincidentally, something did.
The man in the picture seemed to be in a decorated crater of a city– or perhaps just a very big town. You thought that that was all the information you’d get, but just before you’d given up searching, your eyes landed upon a blurred sign. It was clear enough to read.
'WELC ME TO DI MO D C TY’
Looking to your map, your eyes glanced over the important cities pre marked. You thanked your parents for making you mark them in the first place.
“Diamond City,” you breathed excitedly. “We need to go to Diamond City!”
“Where are we now?” Ellie asked, looking at the building remains on the horizon. You pulled out the telescope to try and get a clear look.
“Can’t see a thing. Guess we’re gonna have to get closer anyway.” Packing your map and compass away, you tried to hand back the telescope to Ellie.
“You keep it.” She stopped you. “You’re the one leading the way.”
With a grin, you attached your telescope to a loop in your belt and set off walking towards your new discovery.
But you should’ve been running in the other direction.
Walking was beginning to tire on you. It wasn't a short trek to the crumbling remains of a town; if anything it took the better part of a half hour. But that's not to assume you didn't take any detours. Alas, it gave you enough time to think about who mowed down that Deathclaw. There were times in which you decided to change directions since the sounds ahead were quite unnerving. Needless to say, after all the weaving all over the place, you found yourselves at the entrance to the town. "If you find anything, let me know," you told Ellie, trekking ahead with your .44 withdrawn. The town was definitely not in the best shape. Houses had collapsed in on themselves, debris piled on fallen trees. Ellie disappeared into a half standing house. You weren't very concerned; she could handle herself. Looking over various piles of rubble, you saw vaguely useful things, but with a limited amount of space in your rucksack, you couldn't afford to take much junk. Looking through an old desk, you jumped at the sound of Ellie's exclamation of, "Holy shit!" You whipped around. "You okay?!" Ellie ran out the house, holding two devices. "Look!" She gave you one. "Fucking walkie talkies!" "You need to stop with the language, young lady." With a joking smirk, you took one out of her hand and examined it. "Mom never stopped me," she tried, grinning slyly. "Then it's quite unfortunate that I'm not Mom, isn't it?" Playfully nudging her with your elbow, you stuffed the device into the side pocket of your rucksack. "Let's keep looking." Having a walkie talkie meant that you and Ellie could split up further than five feet. You wondered whether she was going to bring it up, but you definitely weren't going to complain if she didn't. Maybe it was your parental instincts to keep her close. You watched her step in between fallen sheets of metal. "Be careful!" You called warningly. She turned around to reply, but fell backwards into a pile of branches behind her. "I will!" She gave you a thumbs up. Laughing, you turned and walked up the deserted street. There was a house on the corner of the road that seemed to be holding up quite well. Stepping inside, you saw how little the fallout blast affected the inside. Only the crockery seemed to be completely destroyed, with shards sprawled everywhere. You saw branded paper on the countertop, with some of them on the floor beside it. With a steady hand, you tentatively leafed through the half legible brochures. It wasn't until you reached the bottom of the pile when you saw writing which you could actually read. EL OM T SA CTU RY H L S . Humming inquisitively, you pulled out your map. "Sanctuary, eh?" Honestly, it wasn't too hard for you to fill in the gaps. Your eyes scanned the main settlements pre-labelled on the paper. In the far North West corner, the settlement shone like a beacon. "Aha!" Circling it, you began to fold the map away. "Y/N/N?"  Ellie peered through the doorway. "I found a path." She lead the way down the road before turning right, through a gap in a chicken wire fence. "Where do you think it leads?" You took out your gun. "Let's find out." You heard a quiet snick, and out of the corner of your eye you saw a glint in Ellie's hand. You realised a moment after that it was a pocket knife. But it was a pocket knife you recognised. It used to be yours, after all. You were introduced to guns and shooting when you were sixteen, but Ellie was still fourteen. That meant she wasn't technically allowed to have a gun (parents' orders), but they weren't going to find out, right? The knife was of a strong steel-- almost impossible to break. You also made sure that Ellie kept it sharp-- maintenance was important (as taught by your parents-- your mother especially). You secretly collected a stash of spare steel in case it wore too thin. You'd rather repair the blade, as the handle of the knife was passed down through generations of your family. It didn't fail them then, so why should it fail you now? You lead Ellie towards the bridge in front of you. Scanning the surroundings, you were about to give the all clear when a snapping twig caught your attention. Whirling around, you tried to spot the source. "Get behind me, Ellie," you breathed. She quickly did as you said. "Stay here." Inching towards the general direction, you saw a small gap between a few shrubs. You quietened your footsteps as best you could before tentatively creeping through. Inside was a clearing. The grass was tall and wild, coming halfway up your shins. Thick trees encircled the clearing, forming a loose ring. Walking forwards, you began to scope out the shrubbery. There was a snap and you stumbled. Before you could react, something wrapped tightly around your ankles, pulling you up instantly, forcing a loud cry from your lips. You would have hit your head if it weren't for something encasing your body. That was the good news. The bad news? You found yourself caught in a net, several metres off the ground. A clash of pans began to ring as you swayed through the air. Alarmed and slightly scared, you braced yourself, praying for you to stop moving. "Y/N?!" Ellie came running into view, looking frantically around. Both your and her eyes spotted your strewn gun cast aside on the ground, and she immediately began to panic. "Y/N!" "Hey!" You smiled reassuringly at her once she looked up. "I'm right here!" "You okay?" she asked. "Yeah, I'm okay." You spotted another loop of rope beside your head. "Hey, this thing has two loops. One for the legs, and another for…" "... More legs?" You snickered at Ellie's confusion, but she was absolutely right. This was an animal trap. "You're right, you know," you thought aloud. “That’s one way to put it, but yeah." Wrapping your fingers against the bindings around your ankles, you gave the rope a tug. It didn't budge an inch. You felt around for the knot and tried to untie it. No success. "You need a bit of help?" You looked to Ellie, who was gesturing at her switchblade. You mentally face palmed. That's a really good idea. Reaching through the holes, you watched as Ellie jumped and threw her weapon as hard as she could. It flew slightly higher than your head. You caught it on its descent. "You're smart, El'." Flicking it open, you began sawing at the rope. "Why, thank you!" And there she stood, grinning to herself. You broke the ropes around your ankles, and was about to start on the net around you when there it was again. Another snapped twig. Your halted your slow movements, and the sudden change in movement caused a ringing. You looked over to it and reached out to sever the cord to drop it. Before you could reach (not that you could), an arrow zipped through the air with a loud ft, landing perfectly and snapping the cord. Your hand retreated violently, eyes snapping to the direction it came from. Strands from your French braid fell in front of your eyes. "Ellie, the gun!" You pressed the blade to the net, violently fraying the rope.
"Don't move."
You froze, a deep voice sending chills down your spine. You were so close snapping free.
An arrow protruded out of the bushes.
Then a bow.
Then a face.
With brown skin and warm eyes, a man stared you down, weapon aimed at you. Ellie made a break for the gun.
"I said, don't move!"
She was staring down the point of an arrow before you could even blink.
That worried you. "Hey!"
The stranger looked up at you. "What the fuck, man?! She's a kid, for God's sake, and you're making her stare down a fucking arrow?!"
The arrow was pointed at you in half a second.
“I don’t take orders from you.”
You shot him down with a glare. “Can I please get down from here? We’re good guys; we’re clean!”
He studied you closely. His eyes went between you and Ellie, judging his options. As soon as he lowered his arms, you continued hacking at the rope above you until it broke. Anticipating a fall, you clung to the side and slowly lowered yourself down (you strong, girl).
“Who are you?” His guard was still up.
“The name’s Y/N.” You smoothly extended a hand. He scrutinised your actions before reluctantly clasping his hand with yours.
“You’re not cool, Y/N.”
“Shut up, Ellie.”
The man tried to hide a smile, amused at the bickering. “I’m Connor.”
“We cool?”
“You’re not.”
You relaxed, laughing. “Evidently not.”
Connor slipped his bow over his shoulder. “Where do you come from?”
“Not far from here, but we can’t go back. It’s just us. What about you?”
“I have a camp with some friends not too far away. Do you have anywhere to stay?”
“Nope.” You shrugged, hiding your slight concern for the future.
“Do you know where you’re going?”
“Diamond City, I guess. I have some friends there.”
“We’re heading that way too. I know that the rule of thumb in this world is not to trust anyone, but I think we can help each other.”
You considered his offer. “Will you kill us in our sleep?” It was only half a joke.
“I only kill those who deserve it.”
That’s half the bloody population.
“I trust you, Connor. I shouldn’t, but I do.”
“Follow me.”

Zombie Apocalypse!Chan Pt.2
“Highly requested pt.2 of zombie apocalypse Chan!! Sorry for the hella long wait,, I wasn’t feeling lots of inspo NOR did I have the time to write :|
Please enjoy and sorry if I’m rusty and i never edit my writing, why do yall read my shit oml
“Y/n! Can you pass me the bowl of potatoes please?” An older chef had asked me. I quickly glanced around and saw the bowl.
“Uh sure, wait, do you want me to peel them first?”
“That would be awesome, dear!” I heard in reply. I quickly took out the peeler and started raking away.
Ah, the normal hustle and bustle of the kitchen.
I hated every moment of it. I had gone through hard and arduous training to become a chef in the kitchen, but even though I was still lacking, they couldn’t turn away any type of help, even the bad kind.
I quickly peeled the potatoes, in record time and handed them to the lady, “here.” She gave a small smile in response, but had no time to give her thanks as there were hundreds of people to feed.
“I still can’t believe that you’re in here.” I heard suddenly, making me jump back out of surprise. I shook my head and gave the boy a crooked smile.
“Yedam, I told you, I like working in the kitchen.” Ha, I could almost laugh at the lie. The boy knew it too.
“Oh yeah? Since when, you’ve always hated cooking and anything relating to anything of the female stereotype. Really y/n, what are you doing?” I shoved a banana in his hand and sighed.
“I’m helping the community, maybe you should try it instead of sitting on your ass all day while playing games.” I said this as a joke of course, but the boy still pouted.
“Hey! I’m only 12!” I smiled at his whiny voice while trying to wash some vegetables.
“Yeah yeah now take your 12 year old butt and walk out of here, this is for chefs only,” I said while pulling a knife out to chop the veggies. As I thought the boy was going to leave, I instead heard a loud sigh, which made me want to sigh as well, “now what?”
“I just thought you would fight to be, uh, you know, a fighter? You love-” I saw the other women in the kitchen start to give us curious glances when the word “fighter” was mentioned. I set down my knife and crossed my arms at my brother.
“I’ve settled for this job, I don’t mind it too much anymore. I get breaks and I get served first, what a privilege.” That wasn’t a lie; I did get breaks and I did get served first, but honestly, I would be rather be working my ass off fighting and bleeding than stirring around pots. I wasn’t look down upon the female chefs, yet I knew this wasn’t where I was supposed to be.
But I had to be here if I wanted Yedam and I to stay safe, and I would do anything for my younger brother.
I heard a deep sigh once more before sneakers started to squeak, “ok fine, whatever you say. But I don’t believe you, you’re just caught in some kind of funk.” I scoffed at the boys words.
“I’m in a funk.” I asked although it sounded more like an accusation. He nodded and gave me one of his childish grins.
“Yes a-”
Suddenly, loud sirens sounded across the cafeteria, making everyone drop what was in their hands to cover their ears.
“Y/n-” I quickly grabbed Yedam and pulled him close to me. “What is that?” He whispered in my ear. I shook my head, telling him I had no idea either and that he should shut it.
Shrieks of girls in the kitchen echoed throughout the kitchen, making me cringe at the volume. If there were zombies, they would have heard this already.
Sirens, what a rookie mistake. Let’s hope the walls are soundproof. Unless they’re already in the-
“Everyone! This is Chan, your leader. Please stay calm.” As soon as I heard that son of a bitch’s voice, I stomped out of the kitchen and threw down my apron.
There stood Chan, one of the leaders of the camp. He had saved my life and let me and Yedam into the camp, yet he wouldn’t let me fight, so I obviously hated him.
“What is the situation? Are your walls soundproof-”
“Please, calm down. I will answer individual questions later since I am needed on the battlefield, but don’t worry. There is only a small group of zombies trying to enter, nothing we haven’t had before and certainly nothing we can’t handle.” The boy leaned back on one foot and smiled at the crowd, already melting their hearts.
I almost shook my head in disbelief at how easily the worried people became calm in the face of this guy. This idiot.
I stared at his facial features closer and instead of the calm and collected boy I usually saw, I saw his features scrunched and tense, like he was panicked.
“That’s bullshit. You look scared as hell, don’t lie to them. We deserve to know.” I growled next to him. His eyes turned angry, unusual to his usual self.
He took a step closer to me and my first instinct was to take one back as well, yet I couldn’t lose this battle.
“Please don’t start any rumors, Miss Y/n. I am well aware of our conditions and me and my men are doing fine.” Oh wow I’ve never wanted to rip someone’s throat out so badly.
“I know that look, it’s the look that faces death, I know it very well. But I know you won’t face it if I was there to fight, so let me-” He interrupted me by snapping and waving someone over.
“Yeah, um, someone please escort Y/n to her room, I will not have people trying to change my rules and scaring my people.” Before he finished his speech, I felt arms pull me back and I immediately pulled myself out of their grasp. “And please don’t be rough with her, I think she’s just nervous ‘cause this is her first siren.”
Nervous my ass, the only thing that makes me nervous is that I’ve left my life in the hands of these pricks who think they know everything about the outside world.
A man with tattoos lining his arms grabbed my upper arm which made me flinch, “do NOT touch me, got it?!” I yelled. As I got angrier, so did they making me, which caused a vicious cycle of fighting.
“Hey don’t hurt my sister!” Yedam yelled. I saw their arms grab for him too which suddenly zapped me into reality again. I kicked them back and puled Yedam behind me.
“Do. Not. Lay. A. Hand. On. My. Brother. Got it?” I bent low, almost as if I was ready to pounce.
One of the men scoffed, crossing his arms, “as if a woman could out fight a man.”
Right as I was about to slap that bitch across his silly face, Chan’s walkie talkie went off.
“Come out- need you.” And that’s all I heard before I heard Chan say “copy that” and stomped away.
The two men looked at me before walking away as well.
“Behave yourself, I trust yourself not to do anything stupid if you love your brother so much. It’d be a shame if you two got kicked out,” he said. The two cackled at his joke which made me want to break his next even more.
“Follow him.” I snapped my head around to my younger brother who seemed to be picking up a rebellious streak.
“What?”
“Follow him, you know you want to. This might be your big chance to show Chan and the other guys you can fight.” He spoke quietly and softly, making me unable to get mad at him.
“Yedam, I can’t-”
“You can and you will. I know we might get kicked out if you try any funny business, but I’d rather leave in fear than have you live unhappily-” I sighed and ran my fingers through my hair.
“I’m not unhappy, I’m safe here with you. That’s all I need to be happy.” I spoke truthfully, yes, I didn’t like the kitchen, but Yedam was happy here, so than I was happy as well.
Suddenly I see Chan entering the cafeteria again, making me confused.
“Secure the doors please.” His voice boomed. I heard doors clicking the women’s cries being heard. Something was seriously going on.
As Chan was about to walk away, I grabbed his arm, something I would never do.
“Hey! You need more men.” He stopped in his tracks, stared at his arm. I awkwardly released it. “Sorry, but you need help. I see it. Your men aren’t as good as you, I know, I’ve seen them. Let me help.” Chan stared at me for a moment and shook his head.
“You don’t get it do you, you can’t-” I laughed hysterically and took a step closer to him.
“No, Chan. You don’t get it. You would rather let a bunch of people here get hurt because you have to much of your man ego to let a girl fight. But look around you Chan, you don’t have the privilege of people who would sacrifice their life to say shit like that.” I spat. We were dangerously close as I could feel his anxiety and anger rolling off of him in waves.
Before he could respond, I heard loud thumping noises, as if bodies were falling against the walls. I met eyes with Chan, both of ours wide and bug eyed.
“Shit!” He yelled. A saw a group of zombies break through the barriers.
“Around 30 zombies, highly skilled and trained, probably ex-military! All men here now!”
I saw a zombie head towards me and Chan grab it and slice his head off. I scoffed, like I needed the protection.
“Yedam, go hide behind the counters, NOW! Yell if you are in danger.” The boy followed my instructions well and scurried out of sight.
I felt the world slow down as a zombie ran full force at me, he was a big one and I could see the anger in his eyes.
“Y/N!” I heard being yelled, oh well, I guess I was unconsciously walking towards it. “STOP! You don’t even have a wea-”
The zombie came an inch between me and I grabbed it’s throat and crushed it with my bare hands. I couldn’t fight the smile that popped onto my face.
“WHAT THE FUCK? DID THAT GIRL JUST KILL THAT THING WITH HER BARE ASS HANDS!?”
I smirked at the screams of the other fighters and even felt my heart swell with pride as Chan gaped at me.
I kicked started into fight mode as more came running at me, I must’ve killed their leader. I let out a howl as they ran at me, feeling the adrenaline fill me like a drug.
“Here.” I felt a dagger being shoved into my hand. Chan gave me a small nod and I nodded back.
I then swung my feet to hit the head of a zombie, bringing them down to I could cut their head off. Another pounced at me as I was sitting on top of another and I cut their head off midair.
One after the other kept running at me, my pride swelled when I was covered in blood and sweat. I kicked the last one down with my full might and saw it’s head break as I stumped into it.
“You’re just a little boy, can’t fight a strong woman like me, boo hoo.” I looked to my right and saw 4 zombies flanking Chan.
“Yes, killing the leader, just like you killed ours, how... fitting!” I spent no time listening to their stupid drama and pulled the knife away from Chan’s neck, no hesitation at all which made her gasp. I kicked her down and trusted Chan to take the back of me.
“You bit-” She never got to finish this words before her head went limp against the ground. I turned to my right and finish the other that was standing in shock at the loss of a friend.
“Thanks.” I heard a strangled voice say. I chuckled and shrugged.
“Well, next time maybe you would want me to fight sooner, so you don’t go through so many near death experiences.” I joked, setting my knives down. Oh fighting always put me in a better mood. Yedam was right, I was never truly happy just doing nothing here.
“Hey I’m sorry, ok? I don’t know what I was being such an asshole to you. I think if any other girl asked, I would’ve let them on the team.” At these words, I swiveled around and crossed my arms.
“Wow, why so cruel to me?” I wondered. I saw the boy shrug and wipe his knives off with a towel.
“Hm, it’s kind of embarrassing,” he muttered while rubbing the back of his neck. Oh well, now I was curious.
“Oh do tell.” I smirked.
The boy shrugged, a blush forming on his face, “honestly, I think I was intimidated by you. You were so much like a leader it was scary, I think I thought that if you joined the fighters, you would overpower me.” I stood in silence for a moment, letting his words soak into me. Then I smiled, teeth and all.
“Well, you aren’t wrong.” I smirked and left him standing there in confusion, but I turned around once more to say, “but hey, now that you let me fight, there’s no going back. I guess you’re going to have to get used to me taking charge.” I winked at him and saw his dimples pop back on his face. “Well, I guess-”
“Oh wait, before you go, I just wanted to say thank you for saving my life, I really was in a... pickle over there.” I held in a chuckle at his word choice and shook my head.
“No problem, you saved mine too, I guess we’re even. Meaning, you have no more leverage over me.” I wiggled my eyebrows and turned away from him, but I didn’t go far before he called my name.
“Oh wait y/n,” I turned to face the boy. He dug his hands into his pockets and gave me a boyish grin. “See you are practice tomorrow?” I felt my cheekbones stand high and proud as I let out a chuckle.
“For sure.”

Smol Ones' Day out
“I don’t want to be eaten!” Smol Muffin yelled as she ran away from two spiders. At her new tiny size they were quite scary. “No no no!” Muffin said freaking out as she reached a dead end. She turned to see the two spiders creeping up on her.
“Spieder, Spooder, stop!” A voice yelled at the spiders, to which they surprisingly obeyed and turned to this mysterious voice.
The voice sounded familiar to Muffin, she looked past the two spiders to see Smol Chara. “Chara.” She said relieved to see a familiar face, only to see a spider leap and take Smol to the ground. “No!” She screamed at the sight of the spider on top of her friend.
“Spieder stop, I love you too.” Smol laughed from under the spider.
“Chara?” Muffin said aloud with a glimmer of hope.
“I’m fine.” Smol assured Muffin. “Spieder just loves to give big hugs.” She explained as she got up. “Spooder, don’t do it.”
“Don’t do what?” Muffin asked and turned her attention to the other spider who looked like they were about to leap at her. “Eek!”
“Remember what I told you Spooder. Some people prefer handshakes.” Smol told the spider, and much to Muffin’s surprise, walked forward and merely extended an arm.
“Thanks?” Muffin said as she took the spider’s arm and gave it a solid shake.
“Good boy.” Smol told Spooder, who gave a happy shake of their body in response.
“These spiders are your pets?” Muffin asked curiously.
“My pets? These are my babies!” Smol answered putting them both in affectionate head locks. Muffin couldn’t help but let out a small laugh. “Would you like to meet momma spider?” Smol asked.
“Momma spider?”
Smol smiled and whistled, then waited as suddenly large sounds of movement came hurtling towards them. Muffin took a step back, not sure what to expect.
“Here she comes.” Smol said, but Muffin didn’t see anything until a very large black and pink tarantula spider landed in front of them both.
Muffin let out a loud scream as this spider was many times bigger than the last two. She was quickly shushed by Smol.
“You’re scaring her.” Smol informed Muffin and began petting the giant tarantula. “There there momma, she’s a friend. I promise.”
Muffin stared in disbelief that she could scare that monster in front of her.
“Would you like a ride?” Smol asked noticing Muffin’s continued worrisome look around the spiders.
“On that?” Muffin asked pointing to the giant tarantula.
“On her.” Smol corrected.
“I don’t know…”
“Well I can’t just not give Momma some exercise after calling her, so I guess just stay here with Spieder and Spooder while I ride off on Momma.” Smol said climbing the giant spider.
Muffin looked at Spieder and Spooder, who seemed a little too eager to take this babysitting job. “I’ll come with!” Muffin said to Smol quickly before she rode off.
Smol smiled and offered a hand to Muffin. “We’ll take it slow since this is your first time.”
Muffin thanked Smol for the consideration, and put her hands around them to hold on. Suddenly the spider took off at a speed Muffin wouldn’t have considered slow. She hugged Smol tightly for fear she’d fall off.
“Are you having fun yet?” Smol yelled gleefully as she enjoyed the wind rushing past her hair.
“I guess? Kind of?” Muffin replied. Those weren’t untrue words, it was kind of fun, but also scary.
“Well get ready for the fun part!” Smol told Muffin as the spider took a turn towards the wall.
“Fun part?” Muffin inquired and looked ahead. “We’re going to hit the wall!” She yelled, but Smol paid no heed to warning. Muffin hugged Smol even tighter, closing her eyes as she prepared for impact.
There was no impact, just a slight shift in direction. Muffin opened her eyes to see a mirror going past them? She realized it was a wall mirror, and that the spider was now climbing the wall. She wanted to scream again, but by this point she knew it was pointless.
Smol felt Muffin hugging tighter than she previously was, and decided it was time to slow down. “Take us home big momma.” Smol told the giant spider with a pat on the head, and the spider obeyed.
A few minute later Muffin would open her eyes to level ground again. Not just that, but no longer riding the giant tarantula.
“You can quit squeezing me now.” Smol told Muffin teasingly.
“Oh! Right.” Muffin said letting go. “Sorry.”
“Don’t be sorry. It’s nice being hugged tightly by someone my own size.” Smol laughed.
“I guess you don’t have many your own size to hug do you?” Muffin said rubbing the back of her head. “When did-”
“Big momma has a knack for these kinds of things.” Smol explained in regards to the giant tarantula depositing the two without Muffin even noticing. “She went to collect Spieder and Spooder, then go back home. “You had fun, right?”
Muffin thought about, and in hindsight it was fun, even if scary. “It was fun.” She smiled.
“I’m glad you enjoyed. Would you like to eat now?”
“Yes please!” Muffin answered quickly, wanting some food after all that craziness.
Smol escorted Muffin to her lair, a strange place filled with various non perishables. As well as tools for getting around areas easier as a tiny human.
“You live here?” Muffin asked.
“I don’t really live here per se, more like a place I keep food and other supplies handy.” Smol explained. “Like all this.”
Muffin watched Smol open a small cabinet, and her eyes sparkled in anticipation.
Smol Chara and Smol Muffin slept on a bed constructed of graham crackers. A soft yet firm bar of milk chocolate for the mattress, marshmallows as their pillows, and cuddling under the wrapper of the chocolate bar.
A knife suddenly stabbed dangerously close to Smol’s side of the bed. “Good morning Chara.” Smol said nonchalantly with a yawn, not paying any heed to almost being beheaded in her sleep.
“Morning little me.” Chara greeted back, but with a not so friendly tone. “Care to explain yourself?”
“You mean Muffin and I sharing a bed?” Smol inquired and looked to the still sleeping smol next to her. “Someone had to, It was bad enough when Azzy was too big for the dear. Now Muffin is a smol muffin, and you’re too big.” Smol answered with big grin.
“You know I could kill you right?”
“I mean sure, but are you more mad I took care of Muffin last night, or that our bed is a giant s'more we’ll get to bake and eat for breakfast?”
Chara stared at the fearless little version of them. “Yes.”

Another that took longer than expected, and I feel I broke character for your Muffin a few times. The real question though. What happened between building the bed and morning?
