this is very in-text but i love that zoro gets attuned to kiku from the get-go not only because of this sword wielder code that he's followed through all extremes of the practice, from brook to kin'emon -- recognizing and respecting all masters -- but because her existence is the solid evidence, the living proof that kuina was wrong

Roier: [The Spanish streamers] haven't connected because of La Velada [a big Spanish event]. Well, I know that Luzu has been training and that's why he hasn't been able to enter. This isn't a perfect translation, but I know a lot of people are curious about where the Spanish QSMP streamers have been, so here's Roier's commentary on it.

TLDR: a lot of things are happening in the Spanish community right now, which is why some players haven't been logging on, but others dealt with a lot of overbearing fans / members of the community early on in the series, which is why Roier reminds people not to harass anyone. If the other Spanish streamers decide not to come back, don't pester them, but if they do decide to log onto QSMP, welcome them back with lots of love!

revisiting this site every now and then to reminisce in how much it shaped me as a person and defined me as a literal child

#cuz i was looking thru old youtube playlists right #and i found this one video edited by wooly abt the time spicy went crazy over a kuroo x joe crackskip (hilarious btw)#(also i cant find spicy did they deactivate forever help)#but like something about the interactions. and seeing myself during that time. just hit really really really hard.#like that was a little girl. she was 12 or 13 or whatever and the people on this site were her entire world #and she'd wake up every morning and check her dashboard and send asks and break the post limit and that was like #a significant part of my childhood. and then one day i just stopped logging on.#and i never even realized it but i talked to some of these ppl for the last time and didnt even realize that that was the last time #the people who i swore id meet in person one day. i knew everything about them and they knew everything about me #and now theyre just memories. and i refuse to call that era of my life cringe because i wouldnt have had it any other way #sorry im really senti. i need to find people again i miss them #and now we've all grown in different ways. yk the meeting people twice thing? yeah.#when u all met me i was second yr middle school and now im second year high school #theres so much i had on this site. some days i want it back

was kinda thinking about this when I saw Renee Rapp live recently-- I didn't know her visual vibe, I'd heard a few songs here and there but I hadn't really *seen* her, and her attire at Osheaga was really casual, a jersey (baseball/basketball?) and slacks. And that was so amazing! I couldn't help thinking, the work Billie Eilish has done for how women in pop music are allowed to dress is incredible. Seeing her up there all comfortable you just know that Billie walked in her oversized tops so that Renee in her slacks could run; Billie walked through all the critcisms about how she dressed slobbily and having to assert that she didn't owe anyone a display of skin, so that Renee could be comfortable and unquestioned running up and down the catwalk in front of 10,000 people. How iconic.

And I don't think we even realised at the time how much something as simple as letting Billie dress the way she as a (then-) 17-year-old teenager dressed, could end up meaning for a future generation of women in music.

Obviously there is still way to go, there were weirdos complaining about how 'plain' Dua Lipa's Glastonbury outfit was this year (in 2024!!), l have to ask, are you at Paris Fashion Week?? She is the musical HEADLINER of an entire day of music at one of the biggest music festivals in the world, and you can't grant her the space to exist as an artist, you have to moan about her dress not being excitingly revealing enough. There's work to do, it's still dismal out there. But the space Billie Eilish has created for a most ordinarily-dressed woman popstar is still heartening.

And in a party dress!#But then again Lambrini Girls genuinely are freaks of nature and I envy anyone who's going to see them open for Amyl & the Sniffers rn #bc that's an EXPLOSIVE combo. I was saying.#Part of it certainly comes from a normalisation of just superhuman strength; balance + praying there's no malfunction with your skirt #which DOES happen at rock shows more frequently than you'd imagine. 5. badboyhalo has literally lost his mind and kidnapped and maybe eaten a federation employee…??? (it’s complicated)

6. mike is back from his second round of kidnapping but now he keeps talking about how he wants to kill the eggs (specifically ramon) and threatening them. also mentioned he killed an egg that’s name started with r?

7. new part of the maze has been unlocked by max, bad, and pierre and, oh yeah, codeflippa appeared to guide them on their way through it! :D

8. the federation now applies sanctions to rule breakers (aka tubbo)

9. whatever is in the maze is having the players do some kind of saw x alice in borderland style games while being super cryptic about the eggs
