20. Have you noticed any patterns in your fics? Words/expressions that appear a lot, themes, common settings, etc?
Specific wording i don't notice as much, until an editor or beta mentions it and then i block out the memory lol ("in response" was called out in the last chapter of DSM if i remember correctly). I do like comeuppance (Don't Shoot the Messenger, Finally Woken), mutual pining (love me a "they both think the other doesn't like them 'like that' and they dont want to jeopardize the friendship"), heats (FW, Snapped, Voluntary Sacrifice) and a main character taking the reins of their own life (DSM, NWWD, FW).

31. Do you start with the characters or the plot when writing?
Depends on the story to be honest. Nothing's Wrong with Dale started with a writing prompt so plot (you're bf has been replaced with an eldritch being pretending but you like them better). Snapped started with the my alien boy Mech and the idea of sudden heat together. Selfish was definitely both characters first. I tend to have a lot of stray pieces of ideas that roll around in my brain, waiting for the right ones to stick together, so often i don't have a story idea until the plot and characters knock into each other. Don't Shoot the messenger I had the dynamic between the characters (personally and of lord and messenger) before i had anything else--pirates were not involved for a while. Sacrifice, i'd see a post for a while about "why in movies, whenever you translate the temple writing it always rhymes in english", and i had the idea for a hermit forest god with antlers, and then some ritual stuff, but it wasn't until I connected them all that there was a Story.
63. Something you hate to see in smut.
All personal taste, but like everyone i think, i've got certain words/terminology I find more cringe-y/squick-y than others so than can make me stop reading (too slang-y, too anatomical, etc). Otherwise, anytime it feels forced where I'm like, do the characters even want to be here/does it make sense that they are here in context and if not, why am i here? Like the writer forgot to make the characters care and they seem indifferent to what's happening. Why do i care then? Doesn't compel me.
64. Something you love to see in smut.
Characters who are here for the smut, even if they are nervous or worried they're making a mistake or whatever, but who just need to have sex now, who want each other so much. (AKA opposite of above) Pulls me right in with them and makes me enjoy the ride.
74. You’ve posted a fic anonymously. How would someone be able to guess that you’d written it?
No idea to be honest lol. I feel like you'd have to ask someone else. I'm too in my own head to really call something like that out. If someone ever manages to connect any of my AO3 accounts to each other based soley on the writing vibes, I'll ask ^^
these were fun questions, thanks for sending them in! ask list
