CALL OF THE SEA / PART FOURTEEN
pirate poly!141 x f!reader tw: NSFW, MDNI, idk how to label this one so as always be warned? masterlist a/n: this is a more chill chapter w some drama ooo. next chapter i will try to make longer because we have a lot about to happen and a lot of progress that's being made but needs to move faster :,) i work two jobs now and work 14 hour days so thank you for being patient with me as i navigate through that. this story's lowkey falling off and not as many people seem to be into it which is fine but as always ily <3
When a group of unhinged pirates invade your small village, you're whisked away from your peaceful home and thrown on to a voyage out at sea. Forced to obtain a new role as their medic, you have no choice but to accept your fate as you join their forces and aid them in their treacherous travels.
You woke with a heavy heart riddled with anxiety. The room was empty and dim, the sun fighting to peek through the small window without much victory. The air felt unusually gloomy, more than it normally did majority of the time.
You weren’t sure where Soap and Gaz ran off to, but you were more than grateful to have the time to yourself. Last night had you in a chokehold, and you knew it was the reason your heart felt like a thick lump in your chest.
Giving the telescope to Gaz. Sitting under a wishful sky together. Feeling his finger graze your cheek in a way that had your heart fighting against your rib cage.
Was he going to kiss you? Is that what that was? The mood of it all, it was so foreign you could barely grasp the concept, but it was the only theory you could come up with.
The mere thought had your mind in shambles, but your soul erupting a fire. You didn’t know what that meant, nor did you know if it was what you wanted to happen.
The Captain wouldn’t be too happy if his crew were messing around with you, would he? Why were you so worried about what he would think?
You could feel the tension in your head building to the point it was near explosive. With a groan, you stood from the bed, trying your hardest to shake it off for long enough. You didn’t want to seem like you were avoiding Gaz, or like you were having an inner battle with yourself. You wanted to appear absolutely normal.
You couldn’t help but glance in the direction of your dresses, where they were folded neatly on top of the desk. You had yet to wear them, and the many shirts you’d borrowed from them up until this point were beginning to bring you a sense of dread every time you’d be forced into a new one.
It wasn’t hard to make up your mind on which one. You had mostly muted colors as not to stick out like a sore thumb, so you picked the one that’d keep you most hidden, even if it was just the five of you on a ship to nowhere.
Preparing yourself for departure, you crept down the deck of the ship. The weather outside was unhappy, the sun tucked away behind gray clouds that looked ready to boil over any minute. The waves weren’t the calming serenity they were last night, replaced by ones that angrily kissed the sides of the wooden ship and rocked you off balance.
The breeze carried the scent of seawater, and you inhaled greedily, using it to calm your nerves. Why were you nervous, anyway? It was silly to even ask yourself, but maybe you were overthinking Gaz’s intentions. A lack in judgment, something you were worried you made.
You lifted a hand, grazing across the cheek he’d touched just hours ago. If you focused really hard, you could still feel it, and you did your best to ignore the somersaults in your stomach.
Entering the food hall, you were greeted with the sight of the men sitting around one another, feasting on breakfast just as they had done the first time you ate with them. They looked like animals that had never seen food in their life.
How long had it been since you all properly sat down and ate as one? You couldn’t remember.
“Dove!” Soap called out, a smile instantly brightening his face. You cringed at the mess surrounding his mouth.
You failed to notice Ghost stiffening in his seat, as well as Gaz sitting up straighter at light speed. The Captain turned his head to you, greeting you with a warm smile.
“Mornin’, dove,” he said, and you offered a nod, stepping up to the table.
Before Price could offer you a seat, Soap patted the empty one beside him, greedily taking up the attention.
“Yer wearin’ one of the dresses,” Soap awed, taking in the simple details stitched into the fabric.
Having a moment of self consciousness, you awkwardly plucked at one of the stitches, nodding. “It’s not too much, is it?”
“Not at all,” he assured, beaming. “Right, Cap?”
You looked up to meet Price’s eye, who cleared his throat, nodding uncomfortably. He took a swig of his drink before placing it back down, hand lingering around the cup. “Mm. S’nice.”
You shooed away the brief flicker of disappointment that threatened its way in. You were going crazy. Why did you have the urge to seek approval anyway? It was absurd.
Soap was quick to his feet, claiming to grab you some food before he’d be right back. There was an awkward gap in between you and Gaz and when you looked at him, he beat you to it, eyes raking down from your face to take in the dress.
You felt your skin turn warm to the touch.
You quickly averted your attention to Ghost, praying to have a bit of normalcy but he was avoiding you rather than looking at you like Gaz was. His shoulders were tense, gaze laser focused on his bowl of breakfast. You could sense the furrow of his eyebrows, even beneath the mask. There was something about him that seemed lost, deep in thought.
Ghost always looked like that. Today, however, felt different.
“Good morning, Ghost,” you greeted kindly. To your surprise, he said nothing, only giving you a low grunt of acknowledgement that was tinged with a slight bitterness that made your ears hurt.
Frowning, you plucked at the stitch on your dress harder, only stopping when Soap returned with a hefty bowl of fresh breakfast, enough for a family.
“Soap, I do not think I need that much,” you worried, watching him set it down in front of you before plopping next to you.
“Nonsense, bonnie, ye gotta eat up,” he encouraged, pushing the bowl closer to you. “Ye look nice, by the way. I told ye the dresses were pretty.”
“You said pretty?” Gaz asked, raising an eyebrow.
Soap scoffed, waving him away. “Droolin’ like a dog, mind ye. Wipe yer mouth.”
Gaz sputtered, grumbling to himself and finally tearing his eyes away. You grew embarrassed for him.
Reluctantly, you began eating, taking small bites at a time. Soap watched you like a hawk, enough to where Gaz kicked him under the table, muttering a, “who’s droolin’ now?”
“Dove,” Price said, and you perked up. “I’d like to discuss a few things with you later. Would that be alright?”
“Ach, Cap, let the lass eat,” Soap scolded, and quickly slumped down like a kicked puppy when Price threw him a look of warning.
“That will be alright,” you assured, smiling politely. “Is it to do with Graves again?”
Before Price could reply, Ghost slammed his hands flat on the table, pushing himself to a stand. He gave none of you a second glance before he was stomping out of the dining hall, slamming the door aggressively on his way out.
The sound and sight made you recoil, visibly wincing. Ghost had been on edge, and you knew it was slowly building. Graves must have been driving him mad.
Guilt tugged at your heartstrings.
“I’ll go check on ‘im,” Soap mumbled, pulling himself out of his seat and following after Ghost mindlessly.
It wasn’t until it was only you, Price, and Gaz that the tense silence was broken.
“Poor lad,” Gaz murmured to himself, shaking his head and stabbing at his food with his fork.
“What’s happening with him?” you asked, worried.
Price tapped his fingers along the table, lips pursed and eyes stuck on the door. “Nothin’, dove,” he sighed.
You frowned at him. “No. You’re doing it again, Price.”
He turned away from the door and at you, cocking his head. Price frowned back at you before nodding slowly in understanding. “Right,” he muttered. “He is… rather guilty of everythin’ happenin’ with you. Killin’ himself about it, really.”
The irony. Ghost was practically undead until Graves decided otherwise.
“Guilty?” you repeated in surprise. “What is he guilty for?”
Gaz sighed heavily, appearing more tired than he did before. “He thinks you’re cursed ‘cause of him,” he explained. “If you hadn’t been with him that day in the town, Graves never would’ve seen you. He blames himself.”
Your eyes went wide the more he spoke, and you felt your own harboring guilt only grow. You felt sick. Not once had you considered Ghost to be the enemy, the reason for your misfortune. Graves was the only one to blame in the game.
“That is nonsense,” you wavered. “He is not to blame.”
“He thinks so,” Price replied glumly. “Do not take it to heart, dove. He has care for you as we do. He simply struggles with it more.”
You knew Ghost cared in his own strange way. He was emotionally constipated, unable to express himself the way a normal person should. You understood why.
“Should I talk to him about it?” you asked, more so to yourself. You weren’t sure how Ghost would take it. He was a firecracker.
“I think that would be nice, birdie,” Gaz agreed with a warm smile that made you stumble for words. “Don’t expect to get very far, though. He’s a stubborn bastard.”
Price snorted quietly, nodding. You couldn’t help but agree as well. You learned that the hard way.
“We do not have to talk until later,” the captain explained. “Finish up eatin’ and talk to him. See where it goes.”
With that, you made quick work of scarfing down the food Soap graciously piled up for you, eating as much as you can. Price dismissed you, giving you an encouraging smile. Gaz nodded to you as you left, hurrying out of the dining hall to find the doomed man where he hid.
You weren’t sure where to start, but the first you assumed was his room. He often resided in there by himself, hiding away like an urchin, quiet as a mouse. You’d never been to his quarters, so the thought of entering had you nervous.
The closer you got, the more your heart pounded. At least Soap would be there to ease the tension, perhaps he could even be helpful in opening Ghost up.
Ghost’s quarters were on the other side of the ship, away from Soap and Gaz’s, so when you stepped into the small hall leading to it, you paused when you noticed the door opened.
Faint murmurs could be heard from beyond the doorway, but it wasn’t loud enough to make out.
Creeping up to the door, you peeked your head in, darting your eyes around before they landed on Soap. Then Ghost.
You had to hold back a noise of surprise when you saw Ghost being coddled by Soap, the Scot’s arms encasing him with his lips to Ghost’s ear, speaking softly to him. The embrace was something passionate, almost as if being held by a lover.
The thing you noticed was Ghost free of his mask, the skull token sitting on the floor as if thrown off. The balaclava beneath it was next to it, and you saw the tufts of blonde hair poking out wickedly on Ghost’s head.
His face was marred, littered with brutal scarring and faint black veins that traveled up his neck and to his jaw. His nose was crooked, as if somebody had bashed it in and it never healed it properly. A nasty scar crossed on his mouth, starting from his top lip and finishing at the bottom.
You were looking at Simon. The one who hid beneath the mask as Ghost. And he didn’t even know you saw.
The guilt became only worse when Soap curled a hand under Ghost’s chin, his thumb stroking his textured cheek before leaning in.
You quickly pulled back from the doorway, heart racing. You looked away before you saw anything more, but you knew what was about to happen.
Had this been going on the whole time? Were you oblivious? Did the others know?
Images of them embracing flashing repeatedly in your mind, and you felt trickles of envy. The softness of the moment, to have such intimacy and care shared between one another… It was something you longed for and never knew you wanted.
You longed for a hug. You yearned for affection.
When living in the village, it was something you never desired. You despised the idea of settling down with another and spending your life loving them. Now, you realized that it wasn’t the idea you hated — it was that you never saw anybody in that light.
The realization began to hit you fast and hard. And it didn’t feel as great as you wanted it to.
Just as you were beginning to feel at ease with your place in life, you were lost all over again.
You don’t know how long you stood there. You were in a trance, and just as you snapped out of it to rush out of the hall, Soap stepped out, Ghost trailing behind him. Both of them paused in the doorway.
“Dove?” Soap asked in surprise. “Are ye alright? What are ye doin’ here?”
You startled, forcing yourself to act indifferent. You didn’t want to seem strange, as if you’d been lurking. You didn’t even mean to.
“I just got here,” you lied with a forced smile. “I knew you were speaking, so I was waiting outside until it was okay. I was going to speak to Ghost, if that was alright.”
You risked a glance at Ghost. His mask was back on his face, covering the trauma beneath.
“We’ve got a couple of things to do around the ship,” Soap said apologetically. “Lookin’ like a storm’s comin’ soon. Gotta set everythin’ up so we don’t tip over and drown, aye?”
Soap nudged your shoulder with a snicker. You couldn’t help but feel a bit disappointed and isolated.
“That’s alright,” you murmured quietly.
Ghost eyed you, narrowing in like he didn’t believe you. You swallowed.
“C’mon, lass. Let’s get ye back, aye?” Soap hummed, wrapping an arm around your shoulder. He began to guide you out of the hall.
“Price wanted to speak with me,” you said. “I will just go to his quarters.”
Soap’s eyebrows raised and he let his arm drop, giving you a nod. “Alright, dove. Ye feel okay? Ye look a bit tired. Didn’t sleep well?”
You dismissed it with a hand, forcing a reassuring smile. “I’m quite alright. No stress.”
Soap looked skeptical and he glanced at Ghost, who merely looked away. “Okay,” he huffed, not quite believing you but trusting you regardless. “Go on then.”
You gave the two a farewell, going your separate ways while you walked back to Price’s room. The walk felt slow, your shoes dragging along the old wooden floors. Your anxiety gnawed at you like a pest, your fingers finding that now familiar stitch on your dress to once again pick at.
Your mind was in shambles and you didn’t want Price to notice. How were you to explain what you saw? What if he wasn’t aware of the affair happening between his crew and you ruined it by asking?
You were so engrossed in your own mind that you failed to notice you were already at the door to Price’s. You briefly wondered if he had even returned from the dining hall. He was expecting you to arrive later.
A couple knocks on the door later, Price opened the door. He looked puzzled when he saw you, ushering you inside.
“I take it you didn’t get to talk to Ghost?” he frowned. You shook your head solemnly. “That’s alright. Did somethin’ happen? You look unwell. Was it breakfast? Did it not taste well to you?”
“What? No, breakfast was perfect. Thank you,” you assured. His gaze flickered over your face, studying you. “Ghost and Soap are handling the ship for the storm. The clouds look rather angry, don’t they?”
He knew you were bluffing. He could tell from the way you rambled about the weather of all things.
“Yes, they do,” he agreed suspiciously. Nevertheless, he encouraged you to take a seat at his desk, joining you on his side. A lone cigar sat in his ashtray, unlit, and he grabbed it with nimble fingers to hold it to his mouth and light it with a match.
You watched silently as the smoke began to pour out of his mouth, swirling into wisps in the air.
“The weather always makes me feel a bit uneasy,” he hummed, holding the cigar with two fingers and letting his arm rest on the chair. “Gives me nasty headaches. You got anythin’ that helps with that?”
“Back in my quarters, yes,” you explained. “I still have quite a few balms from my village. I have been meaning to make more. Perhaps I can show you how.”
Price huffed out a laugh, a faint smile hidden in his heard. He took another heavy hit from the cigar, dabbing the excess ash off in the tray. “That would be useful,” he agreed. “I’ve been curious about your skill since you stitched me up so long ago.”
You couldn’t help but smile. The memory at the time was one you weren’t fond of, but now that you look back on it, it wasn’t so bad. You were just scared.
“I have told you from the beginning that I am not a trained medic,” you teased.
“Ach, your stitchin’ job barely left a scar. No need to be so humble.”
You shared quiet laughs before falling into comfortable silence. You allowed him to nurse the cigar until he was ready to speak, but the silence made your mind drift back to what you’d seen moments ago. Curiosity got the best of you.
“Sir?”
“Hm?”
“Are Soap and Ghost… together?”
Price paused, cigar hanging from his mouth. He cocked his head curiously, taking in your question. “Why do you ask?”
You fumbled, wringing your hands in your lap awkwardly. “I am just… wondering.”
He stared at you as if could see right through your deception. “Define, together.”
“I think you know what I mean, sir.”
Price snorted, resting his cheek on his hand. “Does that bother you, dove? Or perhaps you want to join them?”
Your eyes widened and you quickly sputtered out an explanation, shaking your head. “No, not at all!”
Price barked out a laugh, eyes crinkling with it. You chewed on your bottom lip until it felt raw, wishing you hadn’t even asked.
“I am simply teasin’ you. Relax,” he mused, tapping out the cigar. “It is a complicated relationship. Much more complicated than you could assume.”
“Is that so?” you murmured to yourself, wondering. “Complicated how?”
Price’s eyebrows raised and he remained quiet for a moment. “I did not take you to be the type to gossip about love of all things, dove.”
“Please do not jest me.”
Price smiled in amusement. “My apologies, princess,” he taunted. You scowled. “Curiosity killed the cat, don’t you know that?”
“Of course I know that,” you uttered in annoyance at Price’s inconspicuous mockery.
“Unless it is Soap you wish to be with,” he continued.
“I—” You hated how the thought made your heart jump. “It is not!”
“Good,” he said with a smile. You shut your mouth, frowning at him in disapproval. “I was goin’ to speak more with you about Graves, but perhaps Soap was right. You need a break from it for the day. Rather, would you like to show me that medicine makin’ that you mentioned?”
Medicine making? The Captain was a strange man. The strangest of them all. He gave Soap a run for his money.
“I’d much prefer that,” you grumbled, standing so you could return to your quarters to collect things needed to create jars of herbal medicine.
As you walked out with plans of returning, Price called out once more, “Don’t worry, your secret’s safe with me.”
You let out an annoyed groan, slamming the door on your way out. It wasn’t enough to silence his snickering.

Can I request a fic involving a reader with a skin picking disorder, please? I have one that started up around the same time as my anxiety disorder started ramping up, and now my arms are riddled with scars. I've been trying to break the habit for years now, sometimes I do good but sometimes I don't and I'm so self-conscious about it all.
thank you for requesting sweetheart!! fem, 1k
Eddie thinks there may be no better feeling than your hand in his as Eddie lays on your shoulder. You have this thing about your arms where they can get a little sore from picking, so you can’t always let him lean on them. Good thing he takes his super hot babe angel any way you’ll have him.
“Super what?” you ask.
“My super hot babe angel,” he says into the top of your shoulder, slouched in the dark, TV burning his eyes.
“I missed everything you just said,” you murmur apologetically.
Eddie forces himself to stop laying so heavily against your side and gives you some space. He’s worried he’ll elbow you as he rubs the sleep from his eyes. “I asked if you wanted to go to bed, super babe.”
“Is that what the rock stars are calling their girlfriends?” you ask.
“Just me.” He clambers off of the couch with a groan. His hair falls in his eyes and he’s too hot for the weather tonight. “I’m gonna brush my teeth.”
You’d already done yours. You usually get ready for bed in one process where Eddie drags it out all night; you’re in your pyjamas with spearmint on your tongue already, while Eddie’s groggy and overdressed two hours later.
You go separate ways for a few minutes, the bed squeaking as you drop yourself in it, while Eddie puts his hair up to wash his face and brush his teeth. He takes his shirt off when he’s done, his jeans next, kicked into a pile by the hamper and ready for tomorrow’s laundry.
“That’s forward,” you mumble, having made yourself comfortable with his worst pillow, the blanket pulled back on his side of the bed in wait for him.
He rushes into new pyjama pants, eager to slide into bed beside you, though the sheets are a bit much. You’re still in your long sleeve tee.
Eddie knows what you’re doing. Most summer nights you wait for him to fall asleep before you take off your shirt, too hot to suffer it but too afraid he’ll see your arms. He has, of course, seen them before. He loves them just as much as any part of you, even if you hate them.
And he wants to see them to know you aren’t going too far.
“Shirt off,” he says, fingers on your hip. “Come on, super babe. Too hot for that.”
“Eddie…”
“Take it off, sweetheart.”
He wouldn’t talk to you like that if he didn’t know you’d say no if you really couldn’t handle it; he’d never force you to show your insecurities, even if he’s seen them and loved on them before.
You don’t bother sitting up any more than you need to, peeling off your shirt and shucking it onto the floor, leaving you in your tank top. Lengths of your arms exposed.
He can see the worst of it quickly. You’ve picked yourself bloody at the crook of your elbow and the scar at your wrist is irritated. Your non-dominant arm takes the brunt of it every time, but besides those two cruel places, the rest of your skin is unharmed. Scarred in places, but healed.
“Look at that one,” he mumbles, taking your arm, his thumb close but not touching the wound. “Does that hurt?”
“Not really.”
“Let me get something. You need a dressing–”
“Eddie, please don’t.”
Eddie likes smiling. He can be pretty moody, but you bring out the best in him. Even when you’re hurting, he has a smile waiting for you, locked and loaded. He shifts in bed so he can lean over you, weight braces on his elbow, his face in his hand. “What’s worrying you so much?” he asks.
“Everything.”
“It’s tough.” He blows a breath at your eyelashes. Your eyes shutter closed. “Babe, it’s really tough, but you don’t have to hide it from me.”
“It’s weird.”
“It’s not weird, it’s sad. It’s not nice that you feel so worried you start hurting yourself, but it’s not weird.” He leans down to kiss your furrowed brow, but he doesn’t quite get there, nose smushed to your hairline. “You’re perfect.”
“M’not perfect.”
“Yes you are,” he says, cupping your face. His hand is gentle, his kiss less so. He hopes it emphasises his point.
“Your hair is really tickling me.”
“I can’t go anywhere, I’m sorry. I have to stay right here,” he says, hand trailing down your chest to weave between your arm and side, and then soundly under your back. He doesn’t want a ring or bracelet to snag on your sore arm. “Give me a hug, super babe. Please.”
You bring your arms up tentatively behind him.
“I just wanna know when you’re upset,” he says.
“Sorry. I don’t really think about it, I just do it.”
“I know, but… this stuff doesn’t bother me. You don’t have to wait for me to be sleeping before you take your shirt off, you have nothing to hide from me.”
“It’s so stupid.”
He hates the shame in your tone. “It’s not stupid. We need to find better ways for you to feel better, that’s all.” His cheek rubs against yours.
He can rebuke your worries all night, but he doesn’t need to. He shifts onto his side to let you hug his chest with more force, your face in his neck, the cold tip of your nose and your warm lips. “I wanna be pretty like you.”
“You think I’m pretty?” he asks.
You hum a yes.
“Even though I always have at least one zit, and all those weird stretch marks on my shoulders, and my hair’s frizzy every day?”
“None of that stuff matters,” you say, startled.
“Exactly. None of this stuff matters.” He finds your arm to feel down to the sore scab on your wrist. “I just need you to tell me about it more often. Okay? Deal?”
You breathe in the side of his neck. “Okay, handsome. Deal.”

[Mattheo riddle × reader] [TTPD Masterlist]
Summary: You and Mattheo share a legendary love, the kind that makes you leave everything behind without regrets—your life, your friends, even your family. You're dead to them now, because how dare you be with the son of Voldemort? Everything seemed perfect until last night, when Mattheo didn't come home. When he finally did, you knew something terrible was about to happen.
Warnings: Angst , Angst , Angst ( you have been warned), smut , unprotected sex, strong language.
Words:4k
Mattheo didn’t come home last night, and I was losing my mind, worried sick about him. The hours dragged on, each minute a relentless torture of anxiety and fear. I couldn't shake the feeling that something was terribly wrong. Every creak of the house made my heart leap with hope, only to be disappointed each time. Where was he? What had happened?
It was well past midnight when I finally heard the front door creak open. my heart leaped into my throat. Relief washed over me, followed swiftly by a wave of emotions—anger, concern, love. Before I could say anything, he was there, his lips crashing onto mine in a desperate, hungry kiss.
“Mattheo,” I whispered against his mouth, but he silenced me with another kiss, more demanding this time. His hands roamed my body, pulling me closer as if he needed to reassure himself that I was real, that I was here.
"Mattheo, what's going on?" I tried to ask, but he silenced me with another fierce kiss, his fingers gripping my hips tightly.
"Mattheo," I whispered, cupping his cheek. "Talk to me. What's wrong?"
He shook his head slightly, his expression pained but determined. "Just let me have this." he said softly, his voice cracking.
I nodded and opened my mouth trying to ask him what was bothering him but my words were cut off as he bent me over, his fingers curling around the waistband of my pants, yanking them down. His breath was hot against my neck
He thrust into me hard and fast, the intensity of his movements leaving me breathless. I could tell something was off, but the way he was taking me left no room for questions. He was usually vocal, but now, he was almost eerily silent, his focus solely on the act itself.
“Did something happen baby?” I managed to gasp out between thrusts, my hands gripping the sheets.
He didn’t answer, just increased his pace, the sound of our bodies colliding filling the room. The roughness of his touch, the ferocity of his rhythm—it was as if he was trying to drown out whatever was haunting him.
I could feel my orgasm building, the pressure inside me reaching a breaking point. “Mattheo, I’m gonna—”
My scream echoed through the room as I came, my body trembling with the force of it. He followed moments later, his release silent but powerful, his grip on me tightening as he shuddered against my back.
He pulled out and turned me around, lifting me onto the bed with a gentleness that contrasted sharply with the roughness from before. His eyes were dark, filled with something I couldn’t quite place.
He kissed me softly, trailing down my body until his mouth was between my thighs. He licked and sucked, his tongue working magic as he brought me to another orgasm, my cries of pleasure mingling with his soft kisses.
When he was done, he moved back up, his lips brushing against every inch of my skin, his hands caressing me as if committing every curve to memory. He entered me again, this time slow and gentle, his eyes locked onto mine.
He held my face in his hands, his thumbs brushing away the tears that had formed. “I love you,” he whispered, his voice barely audible.
“I love you too,” I replied, my heart aching with the intensity of my feelings.
He moved within me with deliberate slowness, each thrust a silent promise. I wrapped my arms around him, clinging to him as if he might disappear at any moment. We reached our climax together, the wave of pleasure washing over us in perfect sync.
“Are you okay?” I asked softly when we were done, my head resting on his chest, listening to the steady beat of his heart. He didn’t answer, just held me tighter, his arms a protective cocoon around me. There was something in his silence, something heavy and unspoken.
“Mattheo,” I whispered again, but he simply kissed my forehead, his lips lingering there for a moment longer than usual.
I wanted to push, to demand answers, but exhaustion overtook me. I fell asleep in his arms, my last conscious thought a prayer that whatever was haunting him, we would face it together.
The next morning, I woke up to find the space beside me empty. My heart sank, the unease from the night before creeping back in. I slipped out of bed and padded across the room, spotting Mattheo on the balcony. He was leaning against the railing, a cigarette in his hand, the early morning light casting a soft glow on his features.
I walked up to him, pressing a gentle kiss to his cheek. "Good morning," I murmured, wrapping my arms around him from behind and resting my head on his back. He didn't respond, just took another drag of his cigarette, the smoke curling upwards into the crisp air.
"Mattheo," I started, my voice tentative, "please talk to me. What's going on?"
Silence.
I tightened my arms around him slightly, trying to convey my concern and love through the embrace. "You were so distant last night. You scared me. I need to know what's bothering you."
Still, no answer.
"Is it something I did? Something that happened? Please, Mattheo, just tell me. We can face it together."
He remained quiet, staring out into the distance, his body tense against mine.
"Mattheo, please don't shut me out."
He took another slow drag, exhaling the smoke with a sigh, but said nothing. I could feel the wall between us, thicker than ever, and it broke my heart.
"Do you not trust me?" I asked, my voice cracking with emotion. "You said you love me, and I believe you. But if you don't let me in, how can fix whatever is bothering you now?"
He flicked the cigarette butt over the railing, watching it fall before finally turning to face me. His eyes were dark, filled with a turmoil I couldn't decipher. I reached up to touch his face, but he caught my hand, holding it tightly in his own.
His grip on my hand was firm as he turned away from the balcony, leading us back into the room. He sank into the couch. I stood there, watching him, my heart aching with the weight of his silence.
Memories flooded my mind, moments that defined us, that showcased the depth of our connection. I remembered the first time I saw him, standing in the shadows of Hogwarts' library. His eyes, dark and intense, met mine and I felt an inexplicable pull towards him. Despite his infamous last name, there was something in him that I couldn't ignore.
The wizarding world saw him in two extremes: as a legacy of power or as a monster. To me, he was neither. He was Mattheo, the boy who found solace in the pages of old books, who laughed freely with me by the Black Lake, and who kissed me tenderly in hidden corridors.
I remembered the night we decided to leave it all behind. The weight of his family's name haunted him, the expectations and fears others placed on him were suffocating. We chose love over legacy, escaping to a place where he wasn't seen as the heir to a dark throne, but simply as a man in love.
I remembered the first time he had said, **"You're the love of my life,"** when we were just kids. His words had been simple, but they had held a promise that resonated through the years and since then he won’t stop to remind me of it every chance he gets. We left the grandeur of wizarding society for a small, quiet life in the countryside. It was a decision that felt right, a decision I'd make a million times over without regret.
I moved to sit beside him on the couch. "Hey," I said softly, trying to catch his eye. "Baby, please, what is bothering you?"
He remained a statue, his body rigid, his gaze fixed on a spot on the floor far beyond me. It was like staring into a stranger's eyes, devoid of the warmth and affection that used to light them up whenever he looked at me.
"Okay," I tried again, my voice cracking under the strain. "So... what about we go to that place you like tonight?Remember, we were talking about—"
"We are not going anywhere," he cut me off, his voice flat, devoid of any emotion. It sent a fresh wave of ice crashing through my veins.
Panic clawed at my throat. "Okay, we can stay home," I stammered, desperately searching for anything to break the suffocating silence, "make some ________ "
He stood up abruptly, his movement so sudden it startled me. My breath hitched in my throat as his towering figure loomed over me. The playful glint in his eyes, the one that used to make my heart skip a beat, was replaced with a cold, hard glint of something far more sinister.
The words died in my mouth when I saw the look on his face. It was a mix of anger, frustration, and something else I couldn't quite place – a flicker of regret, maybe? But it was quickly overshadowed by the other emotions, leaving a bitter taste in my mouth.
"Don't you get it?" he spat, his voice laced with a bitterness I'd never heard before. "This was never supposed to be serious. It was fun, a distraction, but nothing more."
My breath hitched. Distraction?
"But... but I..." I stammered, the words catching in my throat.
"You what, Y/N?" He scoffed, the sound harsh and unforgiving. "Did you think being with me was some grand fairytale? You know who I am, Y/N. There's a legacy to uphold, a family to consider. Did you think you, with your… your ordinary life, could ever fit into that?"
His words, each one laced with disdain, ripped through me like a knife. Ordinary. Was that all I was to him?
"But…" I stammered, my voice choked with unshed tears. "We… we built a beautiful life together. We talked about our future we__"
He scoffed, a harsh, humorless sound. "Future? Y/N, you left your life for me. Your family, your friends, everything. Did you really think I'd just abandon everything I have, my legacy, for… for you?"
"I… I never asked you to abandon anything," I whispered, tears blurring my vision. My voice was barely audible, a broken plea lost in the suffocating silence of the room.
"But you did," he countered, his voice growing colder with every word. "You disrupted the plan. You made me question everything."
"But I love you," I whispered, the words fragile and broken. "I gave up everything for you."
His answer was a cruel laugh. "Love? Don't be ridiculous. You were just young and naive, Y/N. You thought escaping your family drama meant finding some happily ever after. This isn't some storybook”
The pain was a physical entity now, a vise tightening around my chest, squeezing the air out of my lungs.
"Did you ever loved me, Mattheo? Or was it just another lie?" I asked, my voice barely a whisper. The question hung heavy in the air, a desperate plea for a shred of hope in the midst of this crushing despair.
He met my gaze, his eyes devoid of warmth, devoid of anything resembling the love I had seen reflected there countless times before. "No," he said, the word sharp and final. "I liked you, Y/N. I enjoyed the… distraction. But this? This isn't love."
I looked up at him, searching his eyes for a flicker of the warmth we once shared. I sank onto the couch, my tears falling uncontrollably.
He took a step back, his eyes holding a flicker of something that looked suspiciously like guilt. But it was quickly replaced by a cold indifference that sent a fresh wave of pain crashing over me.
"I'll leave," he said, his voice devoid of emotion. "You can stay here."
He grabbed his phone and keys from the coffee table, his movements mechanical, devoid of the warmth that used to characterize even his most mundane actions.
I sat there, numb, watching him walk towards the door. The sound of the door slamming shut echoed in the room, each reverberation a physical blow to my heart. It was then, as the final echo died down, that the dam broke.
A sob escaped my lips, a raw, primal sound that tore through the silence. I crumpled onto the couch, my body racked with sobs. The pain felt like a physical entity, a crushing weight in my chest, stealing my breath and blurring the world around me.
We almost had it all. Almost.
The space beside me in the bed remained stubbornly empty, a constant reminder of the gaping hole Mattheo's absence had ripped in my life. The night after he left, I lay there, a hollow shell staring at the ceiling. My body ached with a dull throb, the aftermath of the storm that had raged within me. Sleep was a distant dream, replaced by a relentless torrent of tears that threatened to drown me.
Days blurred into one another. I became a prisoner in my own apartment, trapped in the agonizing limbo of grief. Getting out of bed felt like a herculean task, the simple act of breathing a burden. Time stretched before me, an endless expanse of grey, devoid of colour or joy.
The silence in the apartment was deafening, broken only by the occasional choked sob that escaped my lips. The remnants of our life together mocked me - a half-finished puzzle on the coffee table, his abandoned toothbrush in the bathroom, the scent of his cologne that clung stubbornly to his favourite armchair.
Grief twisted within me, manifesting in a kaleidoscope of emotions. Rage surged through me in hot waves, followed by crushing despair that left me weak and breathless. I'd scream into pillows, the sound muffled and distorted, a hollow echo of the pain tearing at me.
In a fit of blind fury, I hurled a picture frame across the room, the glass shattering into a million pieces on impact. The sound was almost satisfying, a momentary release from the suffocating silence within. But even the destruction brought no solace. The room, once a symbol of our love, now mirrored the fractured state of my heart.
Exhaustion eventually claimed me, pulling me into a restless sleep. Dreams offered no solace, only a cruel twist of reality.I dreamt of Mattheo, his eyes filled with regret, his lips brushing against mine as he whispered apologies, promises that he didn't mean it, that he loved me.
Then, with a jolt, I woke up. The stark reality of the empty bed, the chilling silence, slammed back into me. It was a dream, a cruel mirage in the desert of my grief. Tears welled up again, hot and stinging, as the realization settled in - he wasn't coming back.
The sting of the hot water had done little to soothe the raw ache in my chest. Stepping out of the shower, I wrapped myself in a towel, the reflection in the mirror a stranger staring back. My eyes, once sparkling with life, were bloodshot and puffy from days of relentless crying. My skin, usually vibrant with a healthy glow, was pale and drawn. I barely recognized myself.
Back in the bedroom, the emptiness hit me with renewed force. Each creak of the floorboard, each tick of the clock echoed the hollowness within. My gaze fell on a crumpled piece of paper lying innocuously on my bed. A surge of confusion washed over me. I hadn't placed anything there.
Frantic, I searched the room, the silence broken only by the ragged gasps escaping my lips. There was no one here; Mattheo was gone. A bitter laugh escaped me, the irony laced with a fresh wave of tears. He'd warned me – never trust anyone. But where was he now, the one person I'd trusted with my entire heart?
Picking up the paper, I unfolded it, hands trembling. The words scrawled across the page were written in an ancient language, one I recognized from my dusty spellbooks. But what caught my eye was the line at the top – "From a friend." A friend? In the wreckage of my world, the concept felt alien.
The spell itself was simple, its purpose clear – to numb the pain. It promised a temporary reprieve from the agonizing ache that threatened to consume me. But a tiny voice whispered a warning deep within. Magic always came with a price and this spell must be forbidden for a reason.
Tears blurred my vision as I stared at the parchment. What was the worst that could happen?
Numbness. That's what I craved. It seemed like a small price to pay when compared to the excruciating pain that gnawed at my very core. Didn't I deserve some peace, even if it was temporary?
With a shaky hand, I reached for my wand. The familiar weight in my palm felt foreign, a stark reminder of the life I used to lead – a life filled with laughter, love, and magic. Now, it held the potential for oblivion, a desperate escape from the unbearable reality.
Taking a deep breath, I whispered the incantation, the ancient words tasting bitter on my tongue. A faint blue light emanated from the tip of my wand, engulfing me in a cool embrace. For a moment, there was nothing – no pain, no sorrow, just an emotionless void.
The first few days were a blur. I spent them curled up in bed, staring listlessly at the ceiling, the world fading into a muted backdrop. The spell wore off after a few hours, but the return of pain was a stronger than ever. So, I cast it again.
Then again.
And again.
What started as an occasional escape became a daily ritual. The once faint blue light became a familiar glow, casting an eerie light on my deteriorating world. Soon, once a day wasn't enough. Twice became the norm, then three, then a constant hum of magic thrummed in the air around me, a desperate attempt to outrun the pain.
A metallic tang filled my mouth, jolting me awake. Blood. My nose was bleeding, a crimson stain blooming down the front of my nightgown. Panic clawed at my throat, a sharp contrast to the dull ache that had become my constant companion.
This wasn't normal. The numbness, the shield I had built around my heart, it was slipping. The raw, agonizing grief threatened to consume me once more. But the familiar blue light, once my solace, refused to respond. My wand trembled in my hand, the incantation stumbling on my tongue, the ancient words feeling foreign and hollow.
A strange dizziness washed over me, the room tilting at an alarming angle. My vision blurred, the edges of the room dissolving into swirling colors. A wave of nausea hit me, bile rising in my throat. This wasn't just the pain returning; this was something different, something terrifyingly new.
My body, once numb to all sensation, ignited in protest. A dull ache that had become my baseline morphed into a searing pain that radiated from my core. My limbs grew heavy, a strange tingling sensation creeping up my extremities. My heart hammered against my ribs, a frantic drumbeat echoing the fear coursing through me.
Tears, long forgotten, welled up in my eyes, blurring my vision even further. I stumbled out of bed, my legs shaky and uncoordinated. The world swam before me, the once-familiar room morphing into a maze of threatening shadows.
The next day dawned, bringing no relief. The symptoms, once a terrifying novelty, became a relentless onslaught. My body wracked with chills one moment, then burning with an internal fever the next. Blood, not just from my nose but also from my mouth, stained everything I touched, a grotesque reminder of my deteriorating state.
Weakness, crippling and pervasive, enveloped me. As I tried to rise from my bed, the world tilted violently, and my vision swam with black spots. A scream ripped from my throat, a scream, desperate plea for help that echoed unanswered in the empty apartment.
Then, darkness threatened to consume me. I felt myself falling, the floor rushing up to meet me. But just before the sweet oblivion of unconsciousness claimed me, a strong pair of hands gripped my body, arresting my fall.
Disoriented and delirious, I blinked, my vision blurry. Through the haze, a familiar face materialized.
"Y/N?Can you hear me love?" A voice, urgent and laced with panic, called my name. It sounded distant, muffled, as if filtered through water. But the warmth of the hand holding me, the metallic scent of my blood staining his fingers, these were real.
This wasn't a dream. It was him.
"What have you done, love?" Mattheo's voice, ragged with worry, reached me through the haze of pain engulfing my body. I wanted to answer, to tell him everything, but the words wouldn't form. The pain that had been a constant ache in my heart had become a monstrous beast clawing at every inch of me.
"It hurt so much," I managed to gasp, tears mixing with the blood trickling down my nose.
His hands were gentle but firm, cradling me, wiping away the blood and the tears with a tenderness that brought a flicker of warmth to the icy grip of fear that had taken hold. "I know, baby, I know," he murmured, desperation lacing his voice. "Just tell me, please, what have you done?"
"I just wanted it to stop," I rasped, pointing weakly at my heart, its every beat a thrumming ache. “ it hurt so much.”
My gaze drifted beyond his shoulder, and a flicker of disbelief sparked through the fog clouding my mind. There, in the doorway, stood the man whose name had only been whispered in hushed tones – the man who controlled Mattheo's destiny, his father.
"He… he's back?" My voice was a rasp, barely audible, the metallic tang of blood filling my mouth.
"Shh, love, don't try to talk," Mattheo soothed, his grip tightening protectively around me.
"What have you done to her?" He turned to his father, his voice sharp as a knife.
"Just showed her a way to numb the pain," the man replied with chilling indifference. In that moment, the fear I felt transcended human comprehension.
He looked exactly like the villains from my childhood fairytales, the embodiment of pure evil.
So this was the reason behind the shift in Mattheo, the darkness that had threatened to consume him.
Fear clawed at me, but I managed to reach for Mattheo's hand, finding strength in his warm touch. His other hand stroking my hair grounded me.
"Don't be afraid, love," he murmured into my hair.
"It wasn't the deal!" Mattheo said, his voice laced with a fury I'd never witnessed before. "I told you I would leave her, I would leave everything, but you just had to leave her out of it!"
"I'm helping you, child," the man said, his voice devoid of emotion. "You pushed her away, but you love her. That cannot happen. You need to get rid of your weakness."
"Shut up!" Mattheo snarled, his eyes blazing. "Shut the fuck up. You leave her out of this!"
I choked on a fresh wave of blood, the world spinning wildly. This was too much, far too much. A terrible realization dawned on me – I was dying.
But at least I was dying in Mattheo's arms, and in that moment, I knew he didn't mean the cruel words he'd spoken. He was just trying to protect me.
"You're not dying," Mattheo whispered fiercely, as if reading my mind. "You're not dying, baby. I won't allow it."
"It's okay," I rasped, my voice barely audible.
"It's not!" he argued, his voice thick with desperation. I reached out, my trembling hand finding his. He squeezed it back, his touch a beacon of strength in the storm.
"Can you say it like you used to ? can you tell me that you love me?" My voice was barely a whisper. "I want to hear you say it one last time."
"No, because you are not dying," he insisted, turning his blazing gaze back to his father. "Save her, do something and save her or I swear, I won't just leave you. I will make sure to ruin you, ruin everything you built, kill you for good this time."
Another cough, another surge of blood. My vision blurred at the edges.
"Mattheo," I whispered, my voice weak but determined.
He looked down at me, his face etched with agony. "You're not dying," he repeated, his voice a desperate plea.
"Look at me, love," he pleaded, his voice cracking. "Keep your eyes on me. Keep those beautiful eyes on me, baby."
With a final surge of strength, I mustered a smile. "I love you," I whispered. "I love you so much."
He cupped my face, his thumb brushing away a stray tear. "You're the love of my life, and I love you more than life itself," he declared, his voice thick with emotion.
A weak smile touched my lips. Before darkness threatened to claim me, a single thought brought a sliver of peace. He loved me. That was all that mattered.

after a long and traumatic week, seeing and experiencing dreadful things — puppy!reader gets into the habit of needing john b to rock her to sleep. every night.
if he doesn’t, there’s tears — and bless your heart he understands. before these few weeks, he’d managed to protect you from it all. being shot at, stumbling on skeletons and dead bodies all for the sake of finding the next clue for the treasure that seemed so far away. at the time, and for your safety he had to bring you along — but as he watches your lip curl over, clinging to his chest back at the chateau — he regrets not finding a way around it.
“well sleep is important, bubba. you need rest.” he stresses, trying to ease you into relaxing as you argue against him. “c’mon. i know you’re tired. i can tell.”
“but i know i’m going to have a nightmare again! ugh.” in a moment of stress, you softly bury yourself into his arm, sinking teeth gently into his tanned bicep.
“noooo you won’t.” he croons in that comforting deep voice of his, slotting his hand between your face and his arm so that he can stroke your cheek with his thumb until you ease up on your bite. you huff, flopping back into his arms dramatically like you’d died mid conversation and he smiles, softly manhandling you until you’re lying directly on his chest. “i’ll tell you why you’re not gonna have any nightmares, pup. it’s because i’m gonna be riiight here. all night. you’re gonna get all hot and bothered and wish that you had your own bed, seriously.” he keeps his tone lighthearted as you get comfortable, but his face falls when he hears you sniffle. “hey, i know.” he acknowledges solemnly, kissing the top of your head.
“jus’ nervous.” you slur, muffled into the fabric of his shirt and he nods in understanding. without thinking much of it, john b starts to sway your body left to right, gently rocking you to attempt to halt your tears. after a moment, you seem to quieten down. “keep doing that.” you rasp after a few minutes, barely awake.
“mhm.” he hums, trying not to disturb you as much as possible with his response, continuing to rock you in his arms. for the first time in a while, you sleep soundly — with no bad dreams.
because of the success in john b’s new technique — you started to require it every night. as soon as you feel the tiredness creep up on you, you’re crawling into his lap, making a rocking motion with your body to communicate what you want. doing this every night might become tiresome to some, but your boyfriend was filled with guilt — accidentally putting you in such dangerous scenarios lately that your body was now riddled with anxiety, needing the gentle motion in order to have a stress free sleep. whatever he could do to help you, to rid himself of the guilt — he would comply.
occasionally, you had required this treatment during a nap in the middle of the day too — straddling him on the couch with the shy request.
“get on in here.” he opens his arms to wrap around you, letting you burrow down into him. as soon as he begins to rock you side to side, your brain starts to power down, even able to partially ignore jj when he loudly strolls in, aware of your habits.
“damn, it’s rockin’ time already? a little early.” the blonde converses casually making the brunette frown and wave one arm at him.
“shh, but yes. yes it is.”
unable to control his behaviour, maybank begins to dance, moonwalking across the wooden panels of the chateau floor. “i wanna rock with you, alllll night.” he sings, making you groggily lift your head to blink an eye at him.
“are you done?” john b deadpans.
“oh hey there sleepy-pooch. my bad, go ‘head and take that nap.” jj busies himself with a beer bottle, grabbing it to settle down with on the couch, eyes latching onto the tv.
you’re fast asleep in a matter of minutes, the gentle humming of the tv mixing with the sounds of your soft snores. “damn, she’s out like that already? guess they found the cure to insomnia. hey, can i try next?” jj teases, lifting the bottle to his lips making the brunette shake his head, not even bothering to glance away from the tv.
“would you shut-up? maybe?” he mumbles in careless retaliation, just happy his sweet pup was getting the rest she deserves.

“ 𝐦𝐞 𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐬 𝐭ú . ”
— how they confess.
RIDDLE ROSEHEART will make sure everything goes perfectly. this is his big day! he wants to impress you, he wants to see your awed face. he is willing to collar anybody that dares to go against his plan. nothing will ruin it, this is his moment. first, he would invite you to an unbirthday tea party, just you and him. then, he would spend the whole evening with you before gulping down his anxiety and confessing. “i’m in love with you, prefect.”
baking will always be TREY CLOVER’S speciality. he goes along the flow, waiting to get signals from you. how does he confess? he confessed by leaving a box of homemade truffles on your bed, a sticky note attached to it. “i like you, [name]. be mine? yes or no?” you couldn’t help but swoon, a delicate hue decorating your face. you took out your phone and ticked ‘yes’ on the paper, sending a picture of the truffles and note you received with the answer.
CATER DIAMOND confesses through text. although he feels like it’s one-sided, he couldn’t help but notice the mixed signals you give him. do you like him or not?! so one day, he texted you out of the blue “i like you! no— i love you!”. you just got out of the shower and was drying your hair before receiving a notification from cater. a soft smile appeared on your lips as you texted back at him, “i love you too. where do you want to meet up? <3 :)”
it’ll take a millenia to get ACE TRAPPOLA to admit his feelings for you. nah, he likes you, but not like that. right? he is so stubborn. literally everybody can see the way he flutters his eyelashes at you 🙄 though one fateful night, the both of you were stargazing— you rambling your thoughts away. “i like to travel” “i like you.” silence overlapped the atmosphere before you looked at him, confused. “you like me?” he realized he couldn’t sugarcoat it anymore. “you’re an idiot— of course i like you. you’re so smart yet so dumb AND dense!”
DEUCE SPADE is so conflicted. should he confess or should he not? what happens if he ruins your friendship? agh, it’s so frustrating! he just wants to hold your face and kiss every part of your features! why must you be so complicated? he asks his mother, now this is where it led him. deuce at your doorstep, holding a bouquet of flowers while wearing a suit with his hair slicked back and a nervous smile. “deuce?” you stared at him then at the flowers. “[name], i like— no, i love you a lot! will you go out with me?” he trembles.
LEONA KINGSCHOLAR is too lazy to set up a whole ass plan for this. yeah, he likes you, he admits— but he’s just gonna go with the flow, relaxing while letting fate do this for him. it’s obvious to everyone that this lion has the feels for you— i mean... he only uses you (and only you) as a pillow, cuddle buddy AND he lets you scratch his ears?? fuck yeah he likes u. if you haven’t taken the hint, you’re either really dense or really dumb. “leona, do you like me?” he snuggles into your shoulder and growls. “you just noticed?”
RUGGIE BUCCHI honestly doesn’t know what to do. i mean... he does like you, but he doesn’t know how to approach you. screw that, he’s 100% sure he’s in love with you. he isn’t an expert in the romance field, what do you expect? so, there’s only one way he confesses. asking you out on a date when he thought he was gonna die during leona’s overblot :D isn’t that so romantic? “hey prefect, if we survive this, wanna go out?” “ruggie what the fuck”
what the hell is that. JACK HOWL is the dense one here, not you. yes, his heart beats at an abnormal pace whenever you’re near, yes he misses you whenever you are not near him but nah, he thinks that it’s normal for friends to feel that way. this fr made epel hit his head and tell him that no, it is not friendship. that’s legit a crush!! now that’s when he realized he likes you. yeah once he realizes he just goes up to you and says “prefect, i like you”
AZUL ASHENGROTTO plans literally everything out. unlike riddle, his doesn’t go as plan. everything went wrong and he is about to lose his absolute shit. why must he be so unlucky? jade is putting his hand on floyd’s mouth so he doesn’t burst out laughing. just as he was about to ask you to meet him, the first years dragged you away to create another batch of chaos that are legit nightmare fuel. now at the end of the day, he’s sick of everything and with a fake smile, drags you away from these goons you call friends. “this took me all day. i will not let them steal you away this time. i like you, prefect.”
the moment JADE LEECH realizes his feelings for you, his eyes would never leave your form. it becomes a whole ass mission to find out whether you like him back or not, and it wasn’t difficult for him to decipher your feelings. oh dear, what’s this? you’re getting flustered over simple things that he does. this truly amuses him, and he enjoys every second of it. he holds your hand and gave a gentle kiss on top of it, a teasing grin on his face. “prefect, would you be mine?” JADE>>>>
FLOYD LEECH is a pain in the ass. once he realizes that he’s in love with you, he’s glued to your hip 24/7, it’s not even funny. he always say “i love you”. those words are always leaving his mouth. you might take it as a joke, but he is not joking at all. now, on a particular day, he wasn’t feeling it. so you know what he did? “floyd?” he kabedon’d you. “listen, shrimpy! i’m sick of you thinking that everything’s a joke! do you want me to squeeze you as hard as i can so that you know that i’m in love with you?”
KALIM AL-ASIM is trying his best, okay? jamil was the one who made him realize that he was in fact, in love with you. when found out, he was dying to tell you his feelings. so, the only solution to that is *drum roll* confessing his undying feelings for you! now how did he confess? inviting you on a carpet ride (pretty cliché, but i agree w/ the fandom) and showing you the true beauty of this world. that moment he realized, nothing could compare to your beauty. “i love you, prefect! i’m falling harder each day!”
love who? yeah, JAMIL VIPER is not confident enough to confess. he believes that you deserve someone better, someone like kalim, not a servant like him. although you like him a lot and he is aware, he couldn’t bring himself to confess. i strongly believe that jamil would try to make you hate him so that you wouldn’t get hurt by him. during his overblot, he banished everyone from scarabia except for you— who he kept by his side. that is when you found out what he actually felt for you. “don’t you dare leave me. i have fallen for you, and you will stay by my side forever— i’ll make sure of it.”
now, VIL SCHOENHEIT couldn’t believe that he would fall for a rotten potato like you! what spell did you cast on him, oh dear prefect? you’ve got him wrapped around your finger like a thread. he is definitely one of the romantic types, preferring to confess face to face. “potato, i can’t help but notice how wonderful you look today.” thanks for calling me a potato, vil. it’s highly unlikely for him to confess, so you’re gonna confess first. then, he would ask you to meet him at pomefiore, he told you to ‘dress nicely’. “finally arrived, prefect? i’ve made reservations, just you and me.”
ROOK HUNT is folding for you. he would appear during the most random times, confessing his undying love for you through poems. “oh, mon trésor—” “rook we are literally about to die” honestly, everyone questions your sanity. he follows you everywhere, sometimes it gets on your nerves. so one day, while sitting under a tree, an arrow was shot right beside you. “I love you, mon trésor. will you do the honours of being mine?” you could only stare at the paper in your hands. what’s your answer, prefect?
believe it or not, EPEL FELMIER would rather dive off a cliff than admit that he wrote love letters for you. love letters? haha what’s that? he’s so in love with you, i’m not joking. he definitely imagine scenarios of him protecting you (prove me wrong LOL). although he is very nervous to confess to you, he needs to man up for the love of his life! and when he gets in front of you to confess, he wastes no time to tell you what he feels... in great detail. this is honestly a great view, seeing epel all flustered and ready to be teased by you and his friends.
IDIA would be caught dead before confessing to you. nothing, absolutely nothing will make him confess to you. so, you will be the one to confess to this guy. he is too nervous for his own good, and would rather die than go through rejection by his long-time crush, aka you. although ortho knows that you like his brother back, idia can't help but feel his anxiety rise each time he feels like confessing. so he goes nope. i'm good 👍. so the big question is, will YOU confess?
it is clear to everyone that MALLEUS DRACONIA has fallen head over heels for you. just the mere mention of your name has got him smiling and feeling all giddy. the confession happened during a night walk with him, and as usual, he can't help but admire you. “child of man, i have something to say.” you turned to look at him and noticed how gentle he looked at you. "what is it, tsunotarou?" he gently cupped your cheek and confessed his undying love for you. his eyes would glimmer with delight once he finishes.
LILIA VANROUGE prefers traditional ways of confessing. he is an old man after all. he tends to scare you a lot just to show that he cares for you. he literally confessed like this: lilia was upside down when he spooked you. with a grin, he handed you a letter that smelled just like him. it makes you think, did he spray his perfume on this letter or something? the envelope itself was very pleasing to look at, a beautiful colour of beige and rose gold wax seal. open it, prefect! what was contained either made your heart flutter or not.
SILVER prefers simple ways to confess. of course, he asks lilia for help. while he had his head in your lap, you placed a flower crown on his head, making him stir awake. “did i wake you, silver? i’m sorry.” his lips curled into a gentle smile, pleasured to wake up by seeing your face. you could only look at his delicate features that were staring up at you. silver closed his eyes to continue his slumber, but before that, he whispered a delicate “i love you.”
SEBEK ZIGVOLT simply yells out what he feels for you. it was quite an odd scenario, him holding on to your shoulders while his face flushed a red hue. the tips of his ears turned pink as he stared at your face, eyebrows furrowed. “sebek??” he gulped his fears away and took a deep breath before confessing his feelings for you. “human! how dare you make me feel such things? you make my heart flutter at each mention of your name, so tell me— what have you done?”

“Three Days|Day 1”
★Hinatsuru Uzui x fem!Reader★ Synopsis★ Tengen’s off on a three day mission, and this is your first time being alone with just your wives. Though it had nearly been a year since you all got married, you still felt as though you didn’t really fit in. But after a night time surprise by Hinatsuru, and a heartfelt talk paired with it. You were starting to think that just maybe, your wives didn’t hate you afterall.★ Includes★Feelings, heavy worry and anxiety, ‘dry’ humping, making out, nipple sucking, titty worship, slight praise, comfort★ ★W.C★3.8K Day 1; Day 2: Day 3
“You're awfully clingy today” Tengen muses as he packs his bags.
He wasn't lying, you were being pretty clingy. Your arms wrapped around his middle, cheek pressed against his strong back. It would hinder him if he wasn’t as strong as he was.
You let out a dramatic whine, “I'm gonna die without you here Ten’, I swear”
He shakes his head at you. You were too much sometimes.
“They don't hate you, y'know” Tengen tells you the same thing he tells you every time he has to go on lengthy missions.
He knew his wives were close knit. It could be seen as unwelcoming but truly they were just protective of their little family. But you were fully convinced they regretted marrying you. You always felt…left out, even when Tengen was here. So you didn’t even want to imagine how you would feel when he was away.
You would think the feeling of being an outsider would ease up after a little while. But here you were, almost a year into marriage later, and you still felt like you didn't belong here.
“You don't know what it's like baby,” you huff, finally letting go of Tengen to plop down on your bed. “ I swear they act like I don't exist when you leave” you say with a pout.
Tengen feels for you, he really does. His four girls meant the word to him. And he too wished for you guys to get along.
He was sure that they didn't hate you. Hinatsuru was a level headed woman, with no hate in her heart unless there was cause for it. Suma was far too sweet to harbor such an ugly feeling of hate. And Makio was hot headed, but she wasn't irrational.
None of them hated you, he was sure of it. But he knew you didn't see things the same way he did.
You were a sensitive little thing and it was one of the reasons why he had fallen so hard for you. But that sensitivity left your heart so often riddled with worry and anxiety. Tengen wished to put your mind at ease.
And it was moments like these he questioned his job choice. He should be here, with you four. Helping you all like a partner should.
But his job was just as important as the four of you were and it could not be abandoned.
So the next morning, while you were still fast asleep upstairs. Oblivious to the world around you, he pulled Hinatsuru aside. Entrusting her with the task he needed done.
“Yes Lord Tengen” Hinatsuru says. Wiping her hands, wet from washing dishes, along her dress.
“I have a favor to ask you Hina” He says to her, and of course she's quick to answer. “Of course, anything you need”
Tengen grins at her answer, leaning down to press a kiss to her forehead, “It’s about Y/n…,” he starts. “she's been feeling off about the idea of me leaving” he says. Hinatsuru's eyebrows furrow as he continues to speak.
“Just… make her feel welcome while I'm gone, yeah?” Tengen says. And Hinatsuru gets the hint. Though she couldn’t understand why you were feeling so uneasy. But she made up her mind, she would speak to you about it as soon as you woke up.
Time flies by and a few hours later it's near time for Tengen to take his leave. He hugs each of his wives pressing a gentle kiss to each of their lips before he makes his final trip upstairs.
You were still asleep, which made sense. You had been worrying yourself sick all night. But you had finally managed to rest your body and he would hate to interrupt. But he refused to leave without at least kissing you goodbye. He smiled at the pretty look on your face and he pressed a kiss to your lips, a gentle hand brushing hair from your face. Tengen really hoped you would be okay, and that Hinatsuru would take care of you just as he asked.
But Hinatsuru was trustable, she would get the job done.
—-------------------------
You woke up a few hours later. Saddened that you had slept so long. You hadn’t even been able to say goodbye to Tengen. Now, nighttime has fallen. And you were alone with your wives.
It was stupid to dread it, you had known these women for a while now. But…you hated the feeling of being an outsider, so during times like these. You preferred to stay on your own. Coping up in your room, of course leaving to do your part when it came to household chores, but disappearing after that.
But clearly, Hinatsuru had other plans. Afterall, Tengen had given her direct orders to make sure you were very well taken care of and she would never disappoint him.
“Y/n dear, are you awake…” She calls, and you can hear her delicate steps walking farther into the bedroom. There were multiple bedrooms in your home, one for everyone as sometimes five people in a bed got overbearing. But you usually sleep with Tengen. You resided in the room that had been gifted to you. “...I heard some shuffling in here” Hina finishes.
Part of you was tempted to close your eyes and pretend to sleep, but you were sure you would fail at pulling that off and just make a fool out of yourself.
“Yeah, I’m in here Hinatsuru” you say, sitting up and rubbing your eyes.
You rub at them again as you get a good look at Hina. The moonlight from the open window in front of you shone down on the taller girl. Allowing for a pretty view of her.
She looked, well, as gorgeous as she always did. Curves smooth and sexy, tied in a purple silk robe. It was such a little piece of fabric, it did nothing to really keep her breasts supported. The huge things practically spilled out of the top. The milky skin exposed making your brain feel like it was short circuiting
Hinatsuru moved to sit on the opposite side of the bed, face to face with you now. It had been a while since you had been this…close to her, not since your honeymoon you believed. It was like seeing her for the first time all over again. Her pretty violet eyes shined as they looked at you, her soft lips as plump as they’ve always been, full ponytail flowing down her back. She was as beautiful as she always has been.
“Ugh, we need to stop with the formalities” she chuckles, “We made you ours nearly a year ago and I still call you Y/n”
Her laugh seems to ease your nerves a bit, not fully, but enough for you to respond with a laugh of your own, “That’s a good point”
“I don’t really know what else to call you though” you say, “Are we…close enough to have pet names?” you ask. Why do you ask? You’re not sure. Maybe your brain hadn’t fully woken up yet, hadn’t realized you had voiced such an insecurity revealing question.
Hina tilts her head, “You don’t think we are?” she counters and you shrug. “I…I don’t know” you say.
Your answer makes Hinatsuru frown a bit. Because to her, she felt like you all got along well. She enjoyed spending time with all her spouses, especially you. But recently, she had been feeling you pull away from her. But she didn’t know you felt this way.
She sighs as she speaks, recalling the events that had occurred earlier that morning. “This morning, before he left, Tengen sort of hinted that you were a bit…uncomfortable being alone with us..with me” she says.
“Is that really how you feel?” She asks.
A part of you is a bit upset that Tengen had spilled what you had told him. But another, bigger part of you was a bit happy. That someone was finally asking how you felt.
You finally look over at your wife as you speak to her, trying to express the turmoil you had been feeling inside.
“I love being married to you all” you say. And it was the truth. Ever since you ran into the four three years ago. Your life has been nothing short of amazing. Sure things could be scary, you were married to four people who worked dangerous jobs. But their love had always made everything worth it. Things had only gone downhill after your honeymoon. At least in your eyes.
“I just…lately, or really for a while now. I’ve been feeling left out. Kind of like a fifth wheel everywhere we go” you explain.
Hinatsuru places a gentle hand on the plush of your thigh, encouraging you to go on. It was comforting, a touch you hadn’t felt in a long time.
“I know that me and Tengen have always stayed close. But…I didn’t just marry him. I married the rest of you as well.” you huff, “And I wish It felt like that”
“That it wasn’t just Tengen holding my hand when we go out to dinner, or that it wasn’t just Tengen who kissed me goodnight”
Hina nods along as you speak. As she listens her heart breaks a little. Your point of view of how things had been was totally different than hers. And she realized she really hadn’t been showing you the attention she should have.
“I don’t think i’d be upset if I had always felt like this with everyone..w-with you” you continue on, “But it wasn’t always like this” you say.
“You remember, don’t you?” You speak.
And of course Hina remembers. How could she ever forget. Before you two got married, before the drift between the two of you. You both were almost inseparable. Hands always interlaced, lips constantly locked, eyes always raking over each other's bodies.
It was real romance, real love. And both of you knew that somewhere along the line, you all stopped appreciating each other as much.
“I-I…I didn’t know you felt that way Y/n.”Hinatsuru says after a while of staring into your eyes blankly.
But you just shrug, “You never asked”
And Hina frowns, “That’s not fair! For months you’ve either been by Tengen’s side or cooped up in your room! I never had any room to pick your brain!” she exclaims.
“You could’ve checked on me! The only reason you’re here now is because Tengen told you how I feel!”
“But I’m here Y/n, isn’t that enough!?” She speaks, the rhetorical question hanging in the air.
You scoff, “It’s the bare minimum…”
And Hina clutches at your thigh, and you wince just a bit at her harsh grip. She so often forgot how strong she was
“...I KNOW!” She yells and that is finally enough for you to go quiet. You stare at her, just sitting quietly in front of her. “You don’t think I'm ashamed of that. That I wouldn’t know that my own wife was unhappy without my husband telling me” she says.
And in came a truly rare sight to see. Tears welled up in her eyes, “But as soon as he told me I knew I had to come talk to you, as soon as you were awake to speak I came here!” She says.
The conviction of her words leaves your words lodged in your throat. Speechless as she scoots closer to you, grasping your hands in a desperate hold as she looks at you. And you recognize that look. It had been a long while since she’s looked at you with so much love that it sparkled in her pretty violet irises.
“Because believe it or not, you are my heart” Hinatsuru says to you, “Sweetheart you are my everything and I love you so much it hurts, okay!”
“I’m sorry i’ve been neglecting you…making you feel like you’re not my entire world” her soft voice fills your ears. The words are like a breath of fresh air, letting you breathe deeply and freely. No anxiety or worry in the way. Because really, that had been all you wanted to hear.
That you still meant something, anything to her.
All that arguing and only now were you realizing how close you were to Hinatsuru. Barely noticing the way the hand on your thigh had dragged its way to the small of your back. You never once broke the silence that had settled in the room. Instead letting your eyes trail over your wife’s face in the moonlight. Even with tears running down red cheeks and eyes filled with uncertainty. She was still as beautiful as she was the day you met her, maybe even more gorgeous.
You can’t help but reach a hand up to wipe away the tears she had let slip and Hina’s breath stutters at the touch. But she leans into you, shutting her eyes tight to avoid any more tears from spilling. Your sealed lips were killing her, she had poured her soul out in front of you. Yet yours was still barred between your lips.
“Please….say something” she pleads quietly.
And you hear her ask. But you don’t comply.
Hinatsuru can’t see you but your eyes are trying to pull her gaze away from her pretty lips. Your body is trying to ignore the urge to kiss her.
You didn’t listen to her bargain, but you listened to your body. Hina offers no protest as you draw her closer to yourself, hovering over her lips. The hand pressed on the small of your back drags you closer, as if you’ll disappear if she lets you go.
The inevitable kiss doesn’t happen yet. You want it to, but you want to force the words burning harsh holes in your lungs to escape before you give in.
But the right letters never weave together, “I…I don’t know what to say” you whisper. Hina can feel you speaking the words on her lips. You were so close, yet so far away from her.
“Then don’t talk” Hinatsuru says, and you don’t hate the idea of shutting up. Staying quiet and let her make your worries disappear just like she used to.
“....Okay” you agree, finally letting your lips pressed tightly against yours.
It was soft, almost experimental at first. After all, it had been so long since you had kissed Hinatsuru. You were almost fearful that it would never feel the same. That the two of you could never be the same again.
But as if she can tell what you're feeling, Hina guides you against her lips. Letting you feel out what it’s like to be so close to her like this all over again. She controlled everything, the pace of the kiss, how long each one held out. She took her time with you, making sure to savor the feeling of your lips on hers.
She had taken the feeling for granted far too long and she didn’t plan on continuing that behavior. The kiss was a wordless share of emotions.
Anger, irritation, sadness.
And most potent, desire that refused to be pushed down anymore. The emotion pouring out of the two of you with full force.
Hinatsuru feels you trying to speed up the kiss, desperate little tongue sliding along her bottom lip. She knew it was a silent ask to slip it in. Let your tongues mingle together sloppily. But Hina kept up with the pace she set. Slowing down your impatient lips.
You are slightly frustrated at being controlled so easily. But you couldn’t find it in yourself to complain. How many people got to experience kisses like Hina's? Soft and sensual ones that took the breath away from your lungs in the most unforgettable way.
Eventually you stopped your petty attempts at control. Settling for letting her crawl on top of you. The weight of her body weighing down on yours. But it felt good to have her on top of you after all this time apart.
Her hands stayed strong on your hips, gripping the flesh a little harsher than she was before. Maneuvering you so she could fit her curvy frame between your legs.
Hinatsuru does a pretty good job at staying in control. Until you get a bit desperate, your hips unconsciously rocking up into your wife.
The pressure takes Hina by surprise and she pulls away from the kiss to moan. It was tiny, barely audible but you heard it.
You cradle her closer, your foreheads falling against eachother’s as Hina decides to roll her hips down against you. And now you’re whining. Everytime she grinds down onto you the softness of her thighs brushes against your clit.
Hina can’t keep her eyes off of you. She can’t remember the last time she had you under her like this. Your soft body is pliant and willing under her touch.
“Fuck you’re so beautiful” she curses. It’s so strange to hear her delicate voice spewing such harsh words. Hina hated cursing unless it was necessary. But clearly it was needed.
There was no better way for her to explain the sight of you right now. Cheeks flushed a pretty red and lips swollen from all the kisses she stole from you earlier. You always were gorgeous.
You don't get a chance to respond as your wife buries herself in the crook of your neck. Pressing mean kisses to the smooth flesh.Your hands tangle in her hair, pulling her closer to your neck.
She takes her time, trailing slow and sloppy kisses against your neck. It was so different from the way she was humping on you. Fast, desperate almost. Your brain was torn between which pleasure you should focus on.
As Hinatsuru grinded she could feel the effect she was having on you. You were gonna soak through your panties at this point. The thin fabric staining her leg with a trail of your slick.
You were so needy it was getting uncomfortable. You needed more.
“Hina” you huff, gently tugging on the girl's hair. She pulls away looking down at you, “yeah baby?” She speaks.
You can't help but smile a bit at the nickname, almost forgetting the burning need in your cunt. Almost.
Nimble fingers of yours reach for Hina's robe. Eyeing her face carefully, watching for any discomfort. But all you see is blown out pupils and a desire that matches your own.
You carefully take off her robe. Taking in the sight of her. All of her.
Her tits sit so pretty on her chest, just begging to be kissed on. So you give them what they're asking for. Not before kissing your wife first. And after her lips, you're kissing anywhere you can reach. Her jaw, her neck and finally the skin of her breasts.
You playfully nip at the flesh but it felt less than playful to her. It felt good, the way your tongue trailed over her tits, kissing softly and biting harshly.
And when you take a nipple into your mouth suckling and flicking your tongue over the hardened bud. She doesn't know what to do with herself.
She stutters as she feels you suckle on her tits. She pushes herself farther into you and as a result. The way she's grinding changes. And suddenly you feel everything deeper, harder than before.
You whimper around her nipple and she loses herself in the feeling. Humping harder.
You feel like you're gonna die. The feeling of her hard clit, rubbing directly on you, was killing you. The friction of your panties wasn't a problem, the two of you were so wet that you could feel each other right through the fabric.
And judging by the look on Hina's face she was going to make an even bigger mess.
“F-fuck baby, I forgot how fast y-you can make me cum” she whines.
You release her nipple with a loud plop, mouthing along to the other one. Her back arches as she cries out, “oh my god, y-you're gonna make me cum”
Her words only make you suckle harder, letting your tongue flick over the pebbled flesh.
And she tries to hold herself back. She really does. But she can't, not when you're looking up at her like that. Your pretty, big eyes give her the same look you always gave her when you were getting dangerously close.
You moan right along with Hina as she cums. You feel her cunt gush all over yours, only making her grinding easier.
Hina's hips stuttered, sure, but. She didn't stop. You knew Hina hated overstimulating herself which meant she was waiting for you.
Your wife pulls you off of her chest, gently reaching to grab at your jaw. And the sight above you nearly has you cumming right then and there.
Her hold on you is tight and she forces you. To look straight into her violet eyes. Her eyebrows are pierced in pleasure. And you could tell by her bitten lip that she was overwhelmed.
But that doesn't stop her. The need to feel you shake under her outweighs anything else she's feeling right now
A smile breaks out on her face when your moans picked up more. Having already finished herself, your wife's hips were grinding so her clit bumped directly on yours.
The feeling drove you crazy, and you couldn't help whimpering. Eyes just begging her to make you cum.
“You gonna cum for me baby girl?” She asks and you nod your head furiously. Your hands gripped at Hina's mean hips, squeezing at the flesh to ground yourself somewhat.
Hina leans down to press a small kiss to your lips, pulling away just enough to whisper against you, “let me feel it” she begs, “give it to me baby”
It takes one roll of her hips, then a second. And next thing you know you're cumming. You're so lost in pleasure you barely register her lips on yours. But when you do. You kiss her back, legs quaking as she shoves her tongue down your throat.
You all calm down from the excitement eventually, panting side by side next to each other.
But silence settles over you two again. Not as awkward as before but still very much charged. Luckily Hinatsuru breaks it for you.
“I meant what I said”*Hina says, “you know that right?”
You turn on your side to look over at her, a puzzled look on your face.
She continues on, “you're my entire world” she tells you, and the conversation from before comes flowing back to you.
You sigh contentedly as Hina reached for your hand to press a kiss to your palm. “I love you Y/n” she says, “I'll make sure you remember that everyday for the rest of our lives.
The way you cheese at those words is embarrassing. It's like she's flirting with you for the first time all over again. But it's a welcoming feeling. It's all you’ve been wanting for a while now.
“Thank you Hina…for listening,” you smile. “I-I love you” you say back, finally finding the words you had been looking for so desperately earlier.
“I love you so much”

You were at work the first time you felt it.
A zap. A buzz, deep in your abdomen. It lasted for a second, a prolonged sting, before evaporating. You took a deep breath, closed your eyes, and willed it to leave. That was something you hadn’t been prepared for about pregnancy. Not that you had prepared much, or at all, to start. But the accompanying anxiety that riddled every moment. Every flutter, every cramp or aversion or heat sensitivity drove you into a Googling rampage.
If you were this bad now, what would happen when the baby was born?
It happened again as you were taking your lunchtime walk near the water. A sting that echoed deep within the recesses of your expanding abdomen. You stopped, one hand on your stomach, eyes wide.
“Are you alright, dear?” An older woman stopped, concern lacing her features.
You nodded. “Yes, thanks. All fine.”
She watched you cautiously before nodding and slipping back into the crowds. You stopped toward a bench and placed one hand on the back, steadying yourself.
When the pain came again, and this time you knew it would, you grimaced, digging out your phone.
Jake’s cell. It went to voicemail and your heart rate started to spike. Next you dialed Bob, and the same fate.
Panic started to set in.
Eyes bleary, you pressed Phoenix’s contact in your phone. It rang until an automated voice said the mailbox was full.
Finally, Bradley. He picked up at the last ring, breathless. “Y/N? Are you alright?”
“I don’t know,” you whispered, heart racing. “I was walking and I'm in pain and I don’t know what to do.”
“Oh Jesus.” There was a pause. Then, “Call an Uber, I’ll meet you at the hospital. That’ll be faster than me picking you up.”
“Where’s Jake?” you demanded. “And Bobby.”
“Test flight,” he replied. “Phoenix is with them. They’ll be gone for another few hours.”
“I’m scared,” you admitted.
“I know,” Bradley said. “So am I. I’m getting in my truck now, OK? I’ll meet you there, don’t worry.”
***
True to his word, Bradley was there by the time they were placing your IV.
“What happened?” he demanded.
The nurse looked up. “This your boyfriend?”
You shook your head furiously. “No.”
She shrugged. “Too bad.”
You rolled your eyes as she left the room. “That’s how they all are, you know,” you said as she eyed Bradley on her way out. “The second y’all step into a room wearing those outfits, girls go wild.” You flicked your hand at his green flight suit.
Bradley stepped toward the bed. “As much as I’d love to hear how hot you think I am, so I can use it to taunt Seresin later, I need to know what happened.”
“They don’t know yet,” you replied. “My blood pressure is a little high I guess? They’re running some labs.”
He ran his hand through his hair and you reached out, pressing your fingertips to his other arm. “Hey. It’s OK. I’m really glad you’re here.”
“I don’t know how you do this,” he whispered. “That’s not even my baby and I’m panicked.”
“You’ll be a great father one day.” His brown eyes lit up. “Speaking of fathers, where’s the one responsible for this?”
“Let me call the station again,” Bradley replied. “I’ll be right back.”
“Hurry.”
***
“Where is she?” Jake skidded to a stop in the waiting room as Bradley paced in a tight circle.
“Thank fuck,” he muttered.
“Bradshaw. Where is she?”
“Room 219.”
Jake practically sprinted down the hallway. Your neck snapped to the right as you heard the door bash open, Jake standing with his hair mussed from his helmet, still wearing his flight suit and a pair of standard issue boots. “What happened?” he demanded, stepping closer as his green eyes flicked over the screens on the monitors behind you.
“I’m fine,” you replied. “Relax.”
“Relax?” Jake looked like his brains were going to burst out of his skull. “You’re joking, right? How the hell am I supposed to relax when I land and find out you’re in the damn hospital?”
“I thought military boys were good under pressure.”
“There’s a difference,” Jake gritted out, “between gunning down enemy fire, and hearing that the mother of your child is in pain.”
You grabbed his hand. “I’m fine,” you whispered. “Doctors said it was probably just Braxton Hicks contractions, nothing to worry about. They’re doing some blood and stress tests to make sure.”
Jake dropped his head against your hand and you leaned forward, pressing your lips to his forehead. He looked up, surprised, mouth open just as the door swung on its hinge again, Bobby practically sprinting into the room. “What happened?”
You rolled your eyes. “You boys are really needy aren’t you?”
His ice blue eyes zeroed in on yours. “That’s my niece in there,” he said. “I want to know that she’s OK.”
“I’m fine, too,” you pouted.
Bob leaned over, wrapping you into a hug. “Thank God.”
As he leaned back, you shook your head. “Look at the two of you. Absolute messes.” Bob and Jake looked at each other, and you laughed. “Doctors said I should be able to go home in an hour. So Jake, why don’t you go tell Bradshaw he’s OK to leave. And thank him for me?”
“Alright honey.”
You winced as the nickname floated in the empty recesses of the room. Bob lifted an eyebrow as Jake disappeared through the door. “Honey?”
You were silent.
Bob leaned against the hospital bed. “I repeat, honey?”
“Leave it alone, Bobby.”
“You’re my sister, I deserve to know what’s going on.”
“You don’t have to be dad,” you whispered. Bob looked up, angry, but you continued. “I’m an adult. I can make my own decisions. I don’t need you watching out for me and policing everything I do.” He started to speak but you cut him off with one hand raised. “I love you. And I love you for taking care of me and looking out for me. But when I say I need you to trust me, I need you to ease up a little.”
Bob sighed. “Sometimes, I don’t know who I am if I’m not looking out for you.”
You smiled and grabbed his hand. “I think you owe it to yourself to have a little fun. Be a little wild.”
He grinned. “Wild? No way.”
“Go out, have fun, be reckless.” You patted your stomach. “Have a beer for me. Or five.”
He shook his head and stood up. “Do you want me to drive you home or Jake?”
“Jake.”
Bob walked to the door and pulled it open. “I feel like a dad dropping his kid off at kindergarten for the first time, watching you walk away.”
“You know when I get married someday, you’re going to have to be the one to give you away.”
“Don’t know if I can do that, Ducky.”
You frowned. “What?”
Bob sighed. “I can’t give you away, Ducky. You never needed me that much. You never needed anyone. You were always enough, by yourself.”

Jake wouldn’t let you out of his sight for even a minute from the moment the two of you stepped through the door.
Finally, after you had settled into a pair of pajamas and eaten takeout, you turned to Jake. “You stink, by the way.”
He furrowed his brows. “Excuse me?”
“Go shower, please, I’m begging you.”
He hesitated and you groaned. “What?”
“You’re going to make me stand there, aren’t you?” you asked. “Like some overprotective new mother who puts her baby in a car seat and brings them into the bathroom while she takes a whore’s bath.”
“Whore’s bath?”
“You know. When you wash your private parts in the sink instead of taking a full shower.”
Jake laughed. “I don’t know what’s funnier. The idea of you doing that, or the fact that you said private parts.”
You shoved his arm playfully. “Shut up.”
“Fine. I’ll shower. But you better not move until I’m back.”
“Oh, what a threat,” you replied, snuggling deeper into the couch and flicking on the latest episode of Love Island.
Jake emerged five minutes later, pulling a white t-shirt down over his still damp abs. Your eyes boggled for a moment before you could help yourself. “I saw that.”
“I hate you.”
“Stop being so mean to me, it’ll make me fall in love with you.”
“You’re damaged goods, Seresin.”
“You’re one to talk, Ducky.”
“Ouch,” you giggled. “Is this foreplay?”
Jake crawled onto the couch, crouching over you, one of his hands next to your head, the other brushing back the hair on your cheek. “Do you want it to be?”
“Yes,” you breathed and Jake grinned. “But the doctor said I needed to wait at least forty-eight hours to make sure my blood pressure went down before I did any vigorous activity. And I have a feeling vigorous would be the right word choice.”
Jake pulled back, a smirk across his handsome face. “Alright, let’s make a deal. I’ll plan a date for us on Friday. You pull out the sexiest dress you have and we’ll go out on the town.”
You groaned. “Sexy dress? Are you kidding? I'm a whale.”
“I’ll leave my card on the table. Buy a new dress.”
“Jake, I can’t.”
“It’s not a request, sweetheart,” he replied. “I like red on you.”

Breeding
A Miguel O’Hara x Top male reader
Short
Your main employer Miguel O’Hara also happened to be your partner. You had just recently started dating since he really didn’t want to start dating someone who he worked with much less someone who wasn’t from his universe. You guys made it work.
He had started acting a little weird lately, wanting to hold mayday more and more, lingering near baby shops when you two went on walks together when you weren’t busy, he went so far as looking at baby clothes online. You didn’t think much of it just chalking it up to be that he was missing his late daughter.
Throughout the entirety of the next day you barely saw him, you were worried but you wanted to make sure he had space if he needed it. Your concern grew when he texted you to come to his house that night so that you two could talk. You worried about it all day, worrying if it was that he was upset, hurt or if he didn’t want to date you anymore. Nothing could have prepared you for what was to really come that night.
After the day was done and you made sure that everyone got the help they needed you headed to Miguels house in his universe making sure to look presentable and to be prepared for anything the moment you walked through that door. What you weren’t expecting was the sight of your lover bent of your shared bed prepped and looking at you with blown out eyes. You laughed a little from the situation as all the anxiety that riddled your body left you all at once. “What’s all this Miggs? You look so pretty like this.” He wagged his hips a little at you before saying that he wanted you to fuck him. Just plain and simple no running around it or anything just “I want you to come over here and fuck me.” Obviously you weren’t going to turn that down.
Once you had gotten undressed from your suit and made sure you had extra lube and a condom with you that’s when you finally stood between his legs. You decided to prep him even if he seemed to be prepped since you could never be to careful, that was obviously not what he wanted because again he straight up told you. “I don’t want your fucking fingers, I prepped so that you could fuck me straight away. I’ve waited long enough just fuck me!” You gave one last thrust of your fingers before slipping on the condom and lubing it up. Every time you fucked it was like the first time, he was tight and warm just perfect for you, he always made you feel like a virgin with how he felt and every time without fail he used it to his advantage. “You like how I feel don’t you? Perfect around you, perfect just for you, just for you to fuck me hard and rough.” And you did every time, giving into what he wanted and fucking him hard and rough, pulling his hair and putting him in every position imaginable, each one better than the last, deeper, warmer.
You’re not sure how but at one point you took the condom off after finishing in it, he was able to convince you to not put another one on as now he was riding you. He was gorgeous with how his hair framed his face and how he was holding one hand on your thigh to keep steady and the other in front of his mouth as if he was trying to quiet his moans. His dick slapping against his stomach as it stood upright even after cumming multiple times evident by the way his abdomen glistened in the light. You sobered up more when he started panting and whining that he wanted you to cum in him so that he could be pregnant with your baby. Just wanted to be bred by you over and over again.
This nearly pushed you over the edge before realizing that you really could get him pregnant, remembering that he had told you that since he was a part spider hybrid it had changed his genetics a bit and now he had a womb. He could in fact get pregnant by you. You held his hips firmly to stop him from moving, he whined since he was really close to finishing again but you stopped him telling him to get stop or get off because you weren’t wearing protection. He didn’t stop, using the fact that he had webs in him to stick your hands to your sides so that you couldn’t stop him from moving. He only bounced on your cock harder when you warned him that you were almost there.
After several times telling him that you were close and to get off because you weren’t wearing protection you gave a final thrust as you came undone in him, the orgasm lasting longer than usual and being more intense since you had never finished in him raw before, being able to feel his walls being even warmer and getting tighter was such immense pleasure that you forgot about the fact that you could get him pregnant and ended the night with the last round being in the mating press.
It wasn’t until the next day that you realized what had happened and what could happen. After months you had a beautiful baby and were glad that that night had happened when you saw your baby for the first time and they held your finger in their little hand.
I wrote more smut in this one, hope you guys eat it up 🤭

Eddie used to be a pretty fearless person.
He ran red lights almost on the daily, provoked his bullies while his bruises from the last run-in were still healing and agreed to shady drug deals in the dead of night.
Having a kid changed all that.
As soon as Hayley was born, Eddie found himself riddled with anxiety every waking moment of the day. Scared to drop her, scared she’d get sick, scared she’d break something, scared that someone’d take her from the playground if he looked away for just one second. Even Wayne had to pry Hayley out of his arms when he had to go back to work and assure him that everything would be fine.
Lucky for Eddie, none of those fears ever came true. Until today.
They’d just gone through Hayley’s night time routine - reading a chapter of that Narnia book Jeff had gotten her, singing her good night song together, kissing her forehead and sharing I love you's - and Eddie’s about to close her bedroom door when Hayley’s squeaky voice suddenly speaks up.
“Dad?”
“Yeah, sweet pea?”
“I wanna join the soccer team.”
And just like that, with six little words, one of Eddie’s personal horrors suddenly becomes a reality.
His daughter is a jock.
“Uh, let’s… let’s talk about that in the morning, okay? Sleep tight!” Eddie says quickly and closes the door behind him.
As soon as he knows Hayley’s fast asleep, he dials one of the two numbers he knows by heart.
“Hello?"
“What have you done to my daughter?” Eddie seethes.
“Well, hi to you too, Eddie.” Chrissy says on the other side of the line. “What’s up?”
“Hayley wants to join the soccer team and it’s all your fault, Chris!” Eddie is pacing up and down his living room now, trying to calm himself down without reaching for his cigarettes - he quit when Hayley was born and this is not going to be the reason that’ll end his seven year streak.
“And how is that my fault, exactly?”
“You- you have poisoned her mind with your jock ways! Hayley isn’t a jock! She likes dragons and castles and fantasy worlds, as is her right as my daughter. I mean, her middle name is Arwen for fuck’s sake, being a nerd is in her goddamn DNA!”
“Okay, Eddie, breathe.” Chrissy says calmly. “Hayley’s always been a curious kid, it’s in her nature. She always wants to try new things and then move on to the next big thing. Remember how she wanted to become a drummer after she saw Gareth play? And then she abandoned the drum kit after two weeks?”
“Right.”
“Maybe this is just another phase, maybe she overheard some classmates and wanted to join in on the fun.” Chrissy says. “Just take her to try outs and see what happens, there’s always a chance she doesn’t like it.”
Eddie lets himself fall onto the couch. He pinches the bridge of his nose and sighs in defeat. “Fuck, you’re right.”
“I’m always right, Eddie, how have you not learned this yet?” Chrissy giggles.
Which is how Eddie finds himself waking up at the crack of dawn that next Saturday. Well, he was supposed to sleep in for another thirty minutes or so but Hayley was so excited about try-outs that her high pitched screams and jumping on his bed woke him up regardless.
Hayley’s excitement carries on during breakfast and she barely keeps still as Eddie braids her hair. She’s even dead serious about the color of her hair ties, saying that they have to match the colors of the soccer team (aptly named the Purple Cobras, so obviously the hair ties have to be purple as well).
And any other morning, Eddie is trailing behind his daughter, making sure she hurries up so they’ll get to school on time, but not today. Now, she’s already got her coat on and bouncing from one foot to another in the hallway and calling him out instead.
“Dad, come on!” Hayley whines. “We’re gonna be late.”
“I’m coming, I’m coming.” Eddie huffs as he puts on his trusty leather jacket - if he’s gonna freeze his balls off by being outside all morning, at least he’s gonna do it in style. He can’t help but laugh at Hayley, who’s now jumping up and down from excitement. “Geez, you better save some energy for the try-outs.”
“Can we go now?” Hayley sighs and scrunches her nose in annoyance and yeah, she really is his kid.
“One ride in the Munson Mobile, coming right up!”
Hayley doesn’t shut up about the intricacies of soccer the entire drive to the local soccer club, apparently Chrissy (the traitor) had helped her read up on the rules and now obviously Eddie had to know all about them as well.
Half of what Hayley’s saying flies over his head, partly because he’s never really cared for sports but mostly because he can feel his anxiety growing with every passing second.
What if Hayley gets injured? What if some tackles her and she breaks her leg? Or worse?
What if she is an amazing player and she needs all these fancy soccer supplies and training clinics and Eddie’s forced to get another job to just to keep them afloat?
What if she’s weak at sports, just like Eddie was while growing up, and all the other kids will make fun of her and laugh behind her back?
What if-
“Dad, look, we’re here!”
The van barely comes to a screeching halt and Hayley’s already halfway out the door when Eddie grabs her by the collar and pulls her back into her seat. This obviously annoys Hayley, judging by the furious look on her face. If Eddie was a weaker man, he would’ve cowered in fear, but he invented that look so he barely feels a thing.
“Sweet pea, listen to your dear old dad for a minute, alright?” Eddie says softly. “I know you really wanna be on the soccer team but it’s still okay if you don’t make the team, you know that right? I won’t love you any less if you don’t make it or you don’t like it, just try your best, okay?”
Hayley’s face turns serious, as if the words are slowly sinking in. “Okay.”
“Pinky promise?” Eddie asks, holding out his pinky finger. Within a split second, Hayley’s tiny finger links around him and she sends him a toothy smile.
“Pinky promise.”
“C’mon, let’s kick these kids’ butts!”
Hayley giggles. “You’re supposed to kick the ball, dad.”
“Oh, right, silly me.” Eddie grins and follows his daughter outside.
But right as his anxiety has died down, it comes flooding right back as soon as Eddie lays eyes on the soccer field. There are so many kids. So many balls being kicked at full speed, with no time to duck. So many sneering soccer moms who look at him like he’s the devil incarnate. So many dangers just waiting around the corner and Eddie just want to turn on his heel and run. Hayley’s inevitable temper tantrum be damned, at least she’ll be in one piece and-
“Hayley Arwen Munson?”
Both Eddie and Hayley whip their heads around at the same time, only to be greeted by one of the coaches and shit- Eddie’s suddenly very interested in soccer.
With a chiseled jaw, soft hazel eyes and broad shoulders, the coach looks like he belongs in a Calvin Klein ad rather than a little league soccer field. He’s wearing a wind breaker, white knee socks and bright purple shorts (that cling deliciously tight around his thighs), which shouldn’t work on him but it does and Eddie just can’t look away.
Hayley (thankfully) doesn’t seem to notice his inner turmoil and instead happily waves at Hot Coach. “Over here!”
The coach writes something on the clipboard and walks towards them, crouching down in front of Hayley. “Hi Hayley, I’m coach Steve, nice to meet you. You here to try out for the soccer team?”
“Yes!” Hayley replies brightly.
“Well good, you can say hi to coach Robin and the other girls and I’ll be there in a sec, okay?”
“Okay.” Hayley nods and turns to Eddie. “Bye dad!”
“Hold up, hold up, hold up.” Eddie says quickly, once again grabbing the back of her t-shirt to keep her from running off. He kneels down in front of her, trying to look her in the eye. “Be careful, okay, baby? And if you don’t like it you can just yell and I come and get you, no questions asked. And if your laces get loose, you can yell too, literally if anything goes wrong you can-”
“Dad…” Hayley interrupts him and puts her tiny hand onto his shoulder. “It’s gonna be okay.”
Eddie laughs and ducks his head. God, this is like kindergarten all over again, when Hayley just skipped to Miss Coleman without a care in the world and Eddie was sobbing into Wayne’s shoulder as he watched her go.
“I know it will be, sweet pea.” Eddie says softly, pressing a kiss to Hayley’s forehead. She takes that as her cue to go, skipping across the field towards the gaggle of girls that surround another one of the coaches.
Eddie feels his heart burst as he sees Hayley smiling as she greets the other girls, she seems to fit right in. He sighs deeply and stands up, trying to keep his eyes on Hayley, when a voice suddenly speaks up.
“Arwen.”
“Jesus Christ!” Eddie yelps because shit, he totally forgot that Coach Steve was still there as well. “Yeah, she’s named Arwen. What about it?"
Eddie wants to eat his foot as soon as he utters the words. He’s always been defensive when it comes to Hayley, being a single dad who doesn’t look like your standard suburban dad next door will do that to you. But to do it in front of a cute guy like that? It makes him want to kick himself. Repeatedly.
But much to his surprise, Steve doesn’t seem to mind all that much. In fact, there’s an amused smile playing on his lips. “That’s from Lord of the Rings, right?”
“Uh, yeah.” Eddie replies dumbly. He feels his walls lowering down - holy shit, this Steve guy is hot and he knows Lord of the Rings? If they weren’t around a bunch of kids right now, Eddie would’ve dropped to his knees already.
“Cute.” Steve chuckles and are Eddie’s eyes deceiving him or is Steve actually checking him out? Before he gets a chance to wrap his head around all that, Steve gestures back to the field. “Well, I gotta jet. Soccer waits for no one. See you around, Mr. Munson.”
“Ew, no. Mr. Munson is my dad.” Eddie winces, remembering all the times his neighbor growing up came by to help Wayne out and refuses to call him by his first name. “I’m Eddie.”
“Well then,” Steve smirks as he walks backwards. “see you around, Eddie.”
As Eddie tries to look like a normal human being instead of a total creep - which proves to be terribly difficult when Steve turns around and puts his ass on fully display in those damn shorts - he slowly begins to realize one thing.
Maybe Hayley’s decision to join the soccer team is the best idea she had in a long time.

NewJeans Minji x Male Reader (OC)
(Author's Note: I could've taken another day to edit this, but I wanted to upload it asap so here it is :^) Hopefully my writing isn't too garbage and I hope y'all enjoy <3)
【☆】★【☆】★【☆】★【☆】★【☆】★【☆】★【☆】★【☆】★【☆】★【☆】★【☆】★
Minji’s POV
I could do nothing but pace around my room, anxiety fueling every step. Danielle was supposed to be here 20 minutes ago to drive us to the fair, but on this particular day of all days, she decides to be late. My vice president, the one who I can lean on when I’m overwhelmed with responsibilities and even more of a stickler for rules and punctuality compared to me, is late.
The brunt of my morning was spent avoiding my parents like the plague, staying cooped up in my room and eating my meals as quickly as possible. To them, it probably seems like I’m giving them the silent treatment for what they said last night (which I’m still upset about), but in reality, I was riddled with anxious thoughts and simply avoided speaking in case I accidentally let it slip that I was planning on lying to them. I’ve done it tons of times before, but every single time is nerve wracking. While I hate that it’s gotten to this point, I owe a lot of my sanity to what I’ve been able to get away with by lying. Besides, it’s probably better this way - my parents still believe that I’m their perfect daughter and I still get to have some semblance of a social life.
Like the sonorous tones of a church bell, a resounding ding emits from my phone. They’re here. With shaky hands, I grab my tote bag from my bed and carefully tiptoe down the stairs. Right as I reach the front door, my father calls out to me from the living room.
“Minji? Where are you going?” He asks, a look of curiosity on his face.
“O-oh, uhh, I guess I forgot to tell you this but I was actually planning on going to the library to study with Danielle today.” I grin at him, trying my best to sound convincing. Our eyes lock as he studies my expression for what feels like an eternity. It might just be my stress causing my eyes to play tricks on me, but there seems to be a hint of sadness in his expression, as if he doesn’t want me to go. I shake it off and refocus on the task at hand.
“Well, I better get going-”
“Wait,” he interrupts before leaving the room for a moment. He comes back with a $20 bill in his hands and offers it to me. “Here.”
Panic began to set in. Did he find out I was actually going to the fair? If he did, why would he be giving me money? Shouldn’t he be angry at me for lying to him?
“Um, what’s this for? We’re just going to the library,” I reiterate in hopes that my initial worries were wrong.
“In case you two get hungry after, you should get some snacks. Food fuels the brain.” The relief I felt after he said those words is better than any award I got in my entire academic career up to this point. Normally it would raise red flags for my father to be doing something uncharacteristic like this, but I didn’t care. I’m just glad to almost be free.
“Thanks,” I say as I take the cash. “I’ll see you later then.”
“Don’t stay out too late. Don’t be messing around while studying. And-”
I shut the door behind me before I could hear the rest of his sentence. It was probably some other generic dad advice, like “Don’t talk to strange boys at night” or something like that. The sight of Danielle’s mom’s car parked on the other side of the street was like seeing a boat heading your direction after being stranded on an island for 15 years. Hanni beckoned me from the passenger’s side window, an excited grin painted on her face.
“Hurry up girl, let’s go!!” She shouted. As I open the door to the backseat, Hyein and Haerin wave back at me.
“Hi Minji!”
“Yo.”
“Hi guys, sorry, my dad wanted to talk to me before I left,” I replied as I got in the car. “Danielle, what took you so long, I was pacing around my room for the past 20 minutes anxious out of my mind!”
“I’m sorry, there was something I had to take care of before I could take my mom’s car,” she apologizes as she tampers with the rearview mirror, clearly annoyed with its inability to swivel properly.
Hanni pops her head from the front seat. “Okay y’all, we just need to take a deep breath and calm down. We’re going to the fair to chill out and have fun, let’s not let petty things like this ruin the day before it’s even started, alright?” Haerin and Hyein nod enthusiastically, peering over at me to gauge my reaction. I close my eyes and take a deep breath in order to allow my mind to forget about the stress from my morning. Today is the day that I get to let loose and forget about all the pressures I face in my regular life. Nothing else matters but having fun. As I open my eyes again, I am welcomed by the smiling faces of my four dearest friends (Danielle was especially happy about finally fixing the rearview mirror). My lips curl into a smile as I look back at them.
“Yeah, you’re right, Hanni,” I admit. “Okay, let’s go!!” We all cheer as Danielle steps on the gas. Hanni turns up the radio, blasting a loud pop song that blares out of the windows as we cruise through the neighborhood.
______________________________________________________________
The lights, the sounds, the smells, everything about the fair was overwhelming in the best way possible. Large groups of friends and families meandered along the concrete pathways, talking and laughing as they try their hand at classic carnival games or satiate their hunger with fried food and extravagant sweets. A giant ferris wheel sat in the background, the sunlight peeking through its rotors. A wave of nostalgia washes over me as I’m reminded of old family memories. Before they pressured me into trying to obtain some kind of impossible perfection, I used to be able to exist simply as their daughter, who they loved and played with like any other child.
“Hey Minji, are you okay?” Hyein asks me. I snap out of my thoughts to find the girls looking back at me with concern.
“Yeah, I’m fine, just thinking about something,” I reassure them. “What do you guys wanna do first?”
“I don’t know Ms. President, what do you wanna do?” Hanni asks with a wide grin.
“Well, I guess we can-”
I freeze as I see a familiar face in the distance, intermingled with the crowd. Yuno is here. With the convenience store girl.
______________________________________________________________
Yuno’s POV
“Where the hell did he run off to?” I grumble as I struggle to search for Yujin in the crowd. The fair was more overwhelming than I could’ve imagined - it was difficult navigating through the sea of strangers without accidentally rubbing elbows with them, all while trying to find oxygen through the constant stench of fried foods and sugar wafting through the air. At the very least, the lights were pretty to look at and I would be lying if I said the ferris wheel didn’t pique my interest.
Winter chuckles at my annoyance. “Relax, he’s just getting a corndog. See, he’s on his way over here right now,” she says, gesturing through a gap in the crowd. Lo and behold, Yujin skips towards us with a corndog in hand and a stupid grin on his face.
“Look what I got!” He presents his fried snack to us with the excitement of a child presenting a drawing to their parents. An ungodly amount of ketchup and mustard drips off the corndog, creating a gross glob of orange on the ground.
“Is that healthy?” Winter asks, concern laced in her voice. Her words fall on deaf ears as Yujin chomps off a large piece, covering his mouth in sauce. I chuckle in disbelief, both deeply disturbed and quietly impressed, while Winter hands him a pack of napkins from her purse.
I take the opportunity to look around at my surroundings again. As I gazed out amongst the crowd of smiling faces, I suddenly felt out of place in it all, like I wasn’t allowed to be here. Everything felt so foreign to me, I wasn’t sure if I should feel at ease or on edge. Whether it’s paranoia or just a hunch, I couldn’t get rid of this nagging feeling at the back of my head.
“Hey Yuno?” Winter nudges me.
I turn my attention towards her. “What?”
“Isn’t that the student council president?”
My heart stops for a split second as I look down the other end of her finger. In the heart of the crowd is Minji, huddled around her friends. She’s wearing a simple outfit of a gray collegiate sweater and jeans, yet my eyes were naturally drawn to her like a magnet.
“Y-yeah, that’s her,” I stutter, trying to maintain composure.
“Mm, issa Danielle? Les go shay hi!” Yujin exclaims with a mouth full of food, running toward them before I could stop him.
“God dammit…”
“What’s wrong, do you not wanna say hi?” Winter asks as we follow the trail through the crowd Yujin left behind.
“It’s not that, it’s just… Whatever, let’s just go.” With every step I take, my heart rate begins to accelerate as, once again, fate pulls me towards Minji Kim.
______________________________________________________________
Minji’s POV
He’s coming this way!! Why is he coming this way?? Did he see me? Should I run? No, why would I run? Pull it together, Minji!! Maybe if I pretend I didn’t see him, he’ll just walk past me. Why would I do that?? Agh!!
“Ketchup… and mustard,” Haerin blurts out, drawing puzzled glances from the group. Suddenly, a boy wearing a white eyepatch emerges from the crowd, carrying a corndog smeared with red and yellow condiments.
“Danielle!!” He calls out, waving excitedly. “Hi!”
“Yujin? What are you doing here?” Danielle questions, a hint of surprise present in her voice.
“I’m with my friends!” The boy, Yujin, exclaims as Yuno and the convenience store girl appear behind him, drawing an impish grin from Hanni. I couldn’t help but feel underdressed when compared to convenience store girl’s flowery sundress and cardigan. “I didn’t expect to see you here too! This is great!”
“Uh yeah, I guess it is,” Danielle responds awkwardly before turning to us. “Um, this is Yujin, I’ve been helping him and his grandma out recently.”
“We’re friends!” He adds enthusiastically.
“Yeah, I suppose we are.”
I couldn’t help but giggle at Danielle’s uncharacteristic awkwardness. Normally, she’s the serious voice of reason that stays calm under pressure, yet here she was, looking like an embarrassed older sister flustered by the antics of her younger sibling.
“It’s nice to meet you, Yujin,” I greet warmly. “I’m Minji, also a friend of Danielle’s.”
“Oh, you must be the student council president!” He replies eagerly. “These are my friends, Yuno and Winter. Yuno might look a little scary, but don’t worry, he only fights bad guys. He helped me and Winter out before! And Winter is really shy, but she’s really nice once you get to know her!”
“H-hello,” Winter stutters with a polite smile, while Yuno offers a simple nod. A flush of warmth colors my cheeks as our eyes briefly meet before we both quickly avert our gazes. Unfortunately, Hanni notices this and stifles a laugh, making my cheeks grow even warmer with embarrassment.
“Hello, I’m Hyein!” Our youngest chimes in. “This is Haerin, and that over there is Hanni! It’s nice to meet you all!”
As the group falls into casual conversation, I can’t help but peer over at Yujin’s eyepatch and be reminded of my conversation with Yuno last night. Despite his injuries, he’s chock full of energy and vibrancy that contrasts with Yuno’s usual solitary and soft-spoken demeanor. The difference in their personalities is cute in a way. Winter, on the other hand, shares many similarities with Yuno. Like him, she’s very soft-spoken and a little awkward, but has an aura of kindness around her despite that. I imagine the two of them got along well because of this - for some reason, this fact irks me.
“Since we’re all here to let loose at the fair, why don’t you guys join us? The more the merrier I always say, isn’t that right, Minj?” Hanni says, nudging my ribs with her elbow. I didn’t even have to look at her to know what kind of face she’s making.
Coincidentally, my eyes meet Yuno’s once again, and I quickly break away as I think of what to say. I would hate to butt into Yuno’s time with his friends, but a voice in the back of my head was telling me otherwise.
“Yeah, you guys can join us if you want to,” I say as I give into the voices. My lips curl into a smile, but inside, I couldn’t shake the feeling of butterflies in my stomach. Yuno appears taken aback at my answer as a slight pinkish hue grows on his cheeks. The group moves through the crowd looking for what to do first with Yujin leading the way and Yuno trailing close behind. I stay in the back, letting my complicated feelings fester.
“H-hello, Minji.” Winter’s soft voice interrupts my thoughts, and I turn to find her trailing behind the group alongside me. Her simple makeup look is subtle, yet it perfectly accentuated her natural beauty. Pair that with her cute outfit and she could have any guys she wants. A shiver went through my spine at the thought.
“What’s up?” I ask, trying my best to act natural.
“I just wanted to ask if you’re doing okay. I never got the chance to after what happened that night.”
My mind flashes back to when Yuno and Winter had saved me from that drunk man a couple days ago. I was too terrified and too weak to protect myself, yet this timid girl jumped in front of him to protect me. And here I am, feeling all weird because I think she looks prettier than me.
“I’m doing fine now. Thanks again for that, I owe you one,” I express.
She quickly shakes her head at my offer. “Y-you don’t have to do that. If you want, I can give you a can of pepper spray. I have a couple more of them at home.”
A chuckle escapes my lips, and Winter seems to loosen up at this. “I might have to take you up on that offer,” I say, half-jokingly. A wave of shame washes over me as I suddenly felt bad for being jealous of her. Maybe the events of this morning still have their effects on me or maybe I ate something bad earlier, but something feels off with me today and I’m not sure why.
“Guys, look over here!” Yujin shouts excitedly from the front of the group, pointing at a giant Spider-man plush sitting on a prize table for a basketball game. Two basketball hoops stood tall before him, much higher than a regular basketball hoop. “I HAVE to get this for my room!” He quickly pays the game attendant, who places three basketballs on the counter in front of him.
“Alright, the game is simple. All you have to do is make at least one basket and you get a prize,” the worker explains. Yujin takes the first ball and psyches himself up, giving the ball a couple dribbles before throwing it… And completely missing the hoop.
“Aw man,” he groans in disappointment. “Yuno, why don’t you try?”
Yuno accepts the challenge, gripping the second ball with steely determination. I watch with bated breath as the ball leaves his hands. It soars high into the sky… and completely misses the hoop. The ball shoots way over the hoop and ends up knocking a corndog out of someone’s hand. The girls and I struggle to stifle our laughter as Yuno’s cheeks turn a bright red.
“A-ah… Shit…” He curses under his breath. “M-maybe Winter should try…”
Winter steps forward, her hands shaking as she grips the final ball. We all freeze with anticipation as she shoots the ball towards the hoop. Miraculously, it arcs perfectly in the air and lands through the hoop with a satisfying swoosh. A scattered array of claps and cheers erupt from some bystanders that witnessed that moment, but none are as ecstatic as Yujin, who jumps and cheers with the excitement of a kid on his birthday.
“Congratulations, ma’am! Which prize would you like?” The worker asks her.
“T-the Spiderman p-please,” Winter stammers, accepting the toy and handing it to Yujin.
“Ahhh!!! Winter, you’re the best!!!” He screams, drawing a variety of reactions from passersby. Yuno flashes her a quick thumbs up while Hyein, Haerin, and Hanni shower her with compliments, which Winter modestly tries to brush away with a bashful smile. Meanwhile, Danielle is occupied with trying to contain Yujin’s overflowing energy.
“M-my dad really likes basketball, so he made me play w-when I was younger. I-it’s nothing really,” Winter explains. She’s kind, pretty, AND athletic? It’s almost as if God himself created the perfect person and placed them in front of me on a day I decided not to dress up. There’s no wonder I felt jealous of her. But why am I jealous of her?
“Are you okay?” Yuno asks me.
I startle slightly at his sudden appearance. “H-huh? Yeah, why?” I awkwardly chuckle. Yuno’s gentle gaze meets mine with genuine concern, momentarily distracting myself from my swirling thoughts. I found myself wanting to draw closer and get lost in his irises.
What?! Minji, what are you even thinking?! Have you gone insane?!
“You look… upset,” he admits shyly. “I just wanted t-”
Suddenly, a basketball bounces off of the other hoop and hurtles towards Winter. In a flash, Yuno turns and catches the ball right before it hits her in the face, his gentle expression replaced with a stern glare at the person who threw the ball.
“Watch it,” he growls in a calm yet menacing tone as he tosses the ball back. His face immediately softens as he turns back to Winter. “You alright?”
“Y-yeah. Thanks, Yuno,” she answers with an appreciative smile. I felt my heart drop from my chest as I watched their interaction, confusion and envy creating a storm in my mind.
“Sooooooo, you gonna make a move or no?” I jump as Hanni startles me from behind.
“W-what??” I sputter.
“I recognize that face anywhere. You’re jealous~.”
Heat creeps up my face as I struggle to find the words to explain myself. “Wha- I am not jealous!” I seethe, trying to keep my voice down. “I’m just… impressed by his reaction timing.”
“Mhm,” she hums, raising an eyebrow. “Well, I’m impressed by how close they look. Don’t you think they would make a cute couple, Minj?”
Her words leave a bitter taste in my mouth. “Y-yeah, I’m sure they would,” I reply, unconvincingly. “W-whatever, like I said I’m not jealous.”
“Oh sweet, sweet Minji,” Hanni sighs, shaking her head as she pats my shoulder. She follows the rest of the group as they move on, leaving me to watch Yuno and Winter as they walk side by side. No matter how hard I try, I can't rationalize this weird feeling in the pit of my stomach every time I see them together. I need to do something, but I don’t know why.
______________________________________________________________
We spent the next hour walking around, playing all the fair games, and filing our stomachs with an array of different snacks the fair offers. I tried to enjoy myself, but the pit in my stomach continued to grow and grow until it became unbearable. I even started to consider Hanni’s words, but no amount of inner turmoil would make me go that insane.
As the sun dipped low, casting an enchanting orange hue over the fairgrounds, it seemed like the perfect time to watch the sunset from atop the ferris wheel. As excited as I am to be able to watch the sunset, I still couldn’t get rid of this weird feeling as I watched Yuno chat with Winter and Yujin at the front of the group. Hanni seemed to notice this too.
“Girl, you look miserable,” she remarks, resting her chin on my shoulder with a sympathetic pout. “You’re supposed to be having fun.”
“I-I am having fun. This is my ‘having fun’ face.” I flash her a forced grin in a feeble attempt to mask my true feelings. Hanni sighs heavily right as we reach the front of the line.
“Each cabin only fits two people, so you’ll have to split into groups of two,” the ride operator explains. Naturally, Hyein and Haerin pair up together, waving excitedly at us as they eagerly step into the first cabin.
“Yuno, do you wanna ride together?” Yujin asks him. Before he could answer, however, Hanni takes matters into her own hands and pushes Danielle into Yujin.
“Hey Yujin, did you know Danielle is really scared of heights? She needs a big strong man protecting her while she’s up there.” Danielle silently curses at her with her eyes as Hanni pushes the duo into the next cabin. My eyes go wide with panic as I suddenly catch onto her plan.
“Winter, I love your dress! Let’s chat about it on the ferris wheel!” Hanni exclaims as she grabs Winter’s hand, pulling her towards the open doors of the cabin. Right before the doors close behind them, I catch a glimpse of Hanni flashing me a thumbs up. My heart threatened to explode from my chest as I found myself left alone with Yuno.
“S-soooooo… U-um, do you wanna, um, I-I gues-”
“Let’s go,” Yuno utters as walks ahead of me into the cabin. I mentally facepalm, cringing at my sudden inability to formulate a coherent sentence. I step into the cabin and sit across from Yuno. As the doors seal shut, the space suddenly felt a lot smaller and more intimate. I gaze out at the orange glow of the sun to distract myself, both mortified and oddly blissful.

Yuno’s POV
My heart kept chugging like a speeding steam train, I worried that Minji could hear it echo off the walls of the cabin. Throughout the day, I could feel her gaze lingering on me and I don’t know why. Did she wanna talk about yesterday? Was something on her mind? Was there something in my hair? Did I smell? I would’ve showered before I left the house if I knew I was gonna bump into her.
A strange feeling fills my chest as I observe the way the sunlight reflects off of her skin. The same feeling that had been haunting me for the past couple of days. Minji constantly invades my thoughts, stirring emotions I couldn’t comprehend. Everything about her felt new and strange, but I couldn’t deny that being around her made me feel happy. I drop my gaze to the floor as she turns to me, hoping she didn’t catch me staring.
“Sooo…” She began, filling the silence. “Winter seems nice.”
I tilt my head in confusion at her sudden interest in Winter. “Uh, yeah. I guess so.”
“How’d you two meet?” She asks with an odd amount of intrigue
For the most part, Minji is an open book. I never have to guess what she’s thinking or feeling, and unlike her parents, she never seems to be hiding some ulterior motive beneath a gentle exterior - until now. At first, I thought maybe my eyes were playing tricks on me, but being the open book she is, it became clear as day that Minji was hiding something. But why? Maybe it wasn’t my place to pry, but my instincts told me otherwise.
“We have english together, but we didn’t start being… ‘friends’ until a couple days ago. She and Yujin kinda just… inserted themselves into my life. And now we’re here,” I explain. Minji’s brow furrows in response.
“Wait, you only started talking a couple days ago? I thought you two were dating.” She hurriedly clasps her hand over her mouth as if she didn’t mean to let that out. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to-”
“We’re not dating,” I say a little too quickly. “Just friends.”
The cabin falls silent as both of our cheeks turn a light crimson. Minji turns back to the window, and my eyes gravitate towards her face once again as if that’s where they’re meant to be. The light and the shadows dance on her skin creating a work of art right in front of me. She’s beautiful in the most impossible way, defying everything I know about the world just by existing. My heart pumps faster and faster as my mind begins to run wild, imagining the two of us together as more than friends. Going on dates and being close. Just like this. Maybe Minji wanted to know if Winter and I were dating because she’s interested in me. I quickly shot that idea down. Those kinds of thoughts only lead down a bad road.
“My parents used to take my brother and I to the fair when we were younger,” Minji says, snapping me out of my daze. “We would go around and play all the games, trying to win the prizes. The games were always rigged, so we never won any. One time, I got so upset that I couldn’t win a bear toy that I started crying. My dad ended up paying extra just so he could get me the bear.” A gentle smile graces her face as she recounts her memory.
“We would always ride the ferris wheel at the end so we could watch the sunset from the top of the ferris wheel, just like this. I was always too short, so my dad had to hoist me up so I could see through the window.” She chuckles lightly before her smile eventually fades from her lips and her gaze falls to the floor. “Sorry, being here must have made me nostalgic. It’s been awhile since I got to watch the sunset from a ferris wheel.”
“Don’t be sorry. I like hearing you talk.” My eyes grow wide with panic as I realize the implication of my words. “I-I meant I like you. I MEAN YOUR STORY!! I liked your story…” My face falls into my palms in an attempt to hide the deepening blush, and I let out a muffled “Fuck” under my breath. I can hear Minji trying to stifle her laughter, which only makes me feel worse. I wanted nothing more than to bury myself six feet under and stay there for eternity.
“I know what you mea- AHHH!!!”
I jolt my head up right as Minji jumps from her seat and into my lap. Bewilderment, accompanied by a million other emotions, runs through my mind as she wraps her arms around my head and hides her face in the crook of my neck.
“M-Minji, uhh w-what are you-”
“There’s a spider on the seat!” She exclaims, her voice tingling with fear. I maneuver my head around her and see the tiniest spider I’ve ever seen scurrying around the spot where Minji once sat. “Ahhh, I really hate spiders!!”
I try to pry her body off of me, but her grip is tighter than an anaconda. A wave of deja vu washes over me as I suddenly start to feel lightheaded.
“M-Minji… Y-you’re choking m-me…” Right before I feel like I’m about to blackout, Minji releases her grip on my neck and slides off of my lap into the space next to me. The seat is a little cramped, but it’s better than dying in such an embarrassing way.
“I-I’M SO SORRY, YUNO!!” She apologizes, her face a bright tomato red. She flinches as the spider continues to move around on the opposite seat, wincing with each movement. “I-I really, really, really, REALLY hate spiders.”
Even after she almost choked me to death, I couldn’t help but find her cute as she shields her eyes with delicate hands, her face nestled into my shoulder. A grin threatens to grow on my lips as I try to comfort her with a few gentle pats on the head.
“I used to be afraid of spiders when I was a kid,” I began in a calming tone. “Whenever I saw one, I always cried to my parents about it. One day, I found one in the bathroom, so I ran to my mom sobbing and told her to kill it. Instead of killing it, she held me in her arms and carried me to the bathroom where it was. I was just like you, hiding my face on her shoulder because I was too scared to even look at it. In a gentle voice, she told me about how it was alone and probably looking for its family. If I killed it, then its family would be sad. She told me that she would be sad if I was suddenly killed when I was out all alone. From that day on, I was never afraid of spiders. Every time I saw one, I would carry it outside so it could find its family.”
I chuckle under my breath. “I don’t think it actually works like that, but I don’t kill spiders because of her. Because of my mom.”
As I finish my story, I notice Minji’s eyes watering and her lip quivering as if she’s about to cry. “Ah shit, are you okay?” I ask with great concern.
“S-Sorry, that was just… really sweet,” she sniffles. I bit my lip, trying to suppress my smile as I simultaneously fought the urge to wipe her tears away. As she calms down, we sit together in silence, watching the tiny spider walk around the cabin.
“He’s just a little guy,” Minji utters, a cute grin on her face. “I wonder why I was so scared of you before.”
Just then, my phone buzzes in my pocket. I open up the notification to see a selfie of Yujin and Danielle with the giant Spiderman plush wedged in between them. Despite Danielle’s awful personality, Yujin seems to like her, so I guess it’s alright. If I didn’t know any better, I could’ve easily mistaken them for siblings.
“Aww, that’s cute. We should send one back,” Minji suggests, her eyes lighting up.
“O-oh, uh, sure. How do I…” After a minute of hopelessly fumbling through the labyrinth of options on the screen, Minji gently takes the phone from me and opens up the camera with a simple tap.
“Do you know how to use a phone, Yuno?” She teases.
“U-uh, no…” I answer, scratching the back of my head in embarrassment. Her eyes widened with surprise at my response. “It’s my first phone, and I just got it today so I haven’t really had a chance to properly look through it.”
“O-okay, well just press on this gray square over here if you wanna open up the camera,” she explains in a kind tone, free of any judgment. She raises her arm and I can see the two of us reflected onto the screen. “Scoot a little closer so we can both be in the frame.”
With a gulp, I scoot closer to her in the already cramped space. The flowery scent of her hair wafts through my nostrils, gentle and clean. Hypnotized by the scent, I don’t realize I’m staring at her until she nudges me with her elbow.
“Look at the camera,” she reminds me, a knowing smile playing on her lips. The phone camera manages to catch the redness of my cheeks as I glance back at my reflection. Minji snaps a few shots before reviewing her work.
“They came out pretty well, don’t you think?” She inquires, and I can only nod in agreement, despite my less-than-stellar appearance in the photos. Minji, on the other hand, looks as pretty as ever. Even when she’s not doing much, the camera seems to pick up on all her good sides. She fiddles with my phone for a little bit before handing it back to me.
“Here, I put my number in so you can send me the photos,” she says. “I hope you don’t mind.”
“N-not at all,” I stutter excitedly, my heart soaring in the air. Minji giggles at my elation and we share a laugh in that cramped ferris wheel cabin. In that moment, as the sunset bathes us in its warm glow, everything falls into place. The weird feelings, the incessant thoughts - they all lead to one undeniable truth. I’m in love with Minji Kim.
______________________________________________________________
As I step out of the cabin, I see the rest of our friends waiting for us at the front of the ferris wheel. Instinctively, I reach my hand out towards Minji as she carefully steps out, which she accepts with a small grin adorning her lips. Though the contact is brief, the memory of her delicate hand in mine etches itself into my memory.
“Soooooo, did you two have fun?” Hanni asks us with an unnerving smirk that could only mean trouble. Before I get a chance to answer however, Minji grabs her wrist and leads her away.
“I-I’m going to the bathroom, Hanni you’re coming with me!” Her voice echoes as she drags Hanni away, trailed by the rest of her friends like ducklings following their mother. Perplexed, Winter, Yujin, and I settle onto a nearby bench to rest in the shade.
“The ferris wheel was fun, I took a lot of pictures of the sunset!” Yujin shares, displaying the photos on his phone. Almost his entire gallery was full of sun from slightly varying angles, along with a few selfies with Danielle. Her gentler side she exclusively shows to Yujin is such a stark contrast from her usual coldness, it’s almost unsettling.
“I feel exhausted.” Winter slumps beside me, her head tilting to the side as if she was too tired to even hold it up. “Hanni is really nice, but I felt so drained after talking to her for five minutes. I don’t know where she gets all that energy from.” I quietly snicker to myself. That seems on brand for Hanni.
My mind wanders back to the epiphany I had earlier. “Um, can I ask you two something… odd?” Their heads perk up, looking at me expectantly. “Have you guys ever… ‘dated’ anyone before?”
“I’ve had crushes before, but I was always too scared to confess,” Yujin admits.
“What about you, Winter? Have you ever had a boyfriend?” I ask.
“Um, not exactly…” With a hint of reluctance, she retrieves her phone from her purse, revealing a polaroid tucked in her phone case - a snapshot of Winter with her arms wrapped around a girl with striking eyes and jet black hair.
Both of our jaws drop, simultaneously shocked and impressed.
“Oh shit…” I mutter before coming to my senses. She’s pretty, but not Minji pretty.
“Wow, that’s your girlfriend, Winter?!” Yujin exclaims. Winter smiles shyly as she puts her phone back in her purse.
“Y-yeah. She’s studying in Japan right now, so I don't get to see her often. I hope she visits soon; I think you guys would get along with her really well.” The look on her face as she thinks of her girlfriend reminds me of my mother’s face in old wedding photos. I don’t understand anything about love or relationships, but that face told me everything I needed to know. “Why did you want to know, Yuno?”
My cheeks suddenly turn warm. “Oh, uh… No reason.”
As if on cue, Minji and the rest of her friends return from the restroom, with Minji looking noticeably flustered and Hanni more excited than ever.
“It’s getting dark, so we were planning on heading back,” Danielle says. “Do you guys need a ride home?”
“O-oh, it’s okay, w-we were gonna take the subway home,” Winter replies.
“WAIT!” Yujin shouts suddenly before turning to her. “Winter, can we ride with them? Pleaseeeeee?” He grabs her sleeve and looks up at her with pleading eyes.
“I-I guess if it’s okay with them.” “WOOHOO!” Yujin cheers. “I call shotgun!” He dashes toward the parking lot, his Spiderman plush bobbing in his arms.
“Hey, that’s my seat!” Hanni exclaims, running after him. In the midst of commotion, I sneak over to Minji.
“H-hi,” I stutter, brimming with nervous excitement.
“H-hey.” Even with the sun completely set, her smile manages to illuminate everything around us. Maybe it’s just my imagination, but the air felt different compared to the times we’ve talked before. That strange yet euphoric feeling still lingers in my chest, this time I finally know what that feeling is - I think. Maybe it’s love, maybe it’s the fumes of fried food decaying my brain. The only thing I know for sure is that I like being around Minji.
“Are you two going to come with us or no?” Hyein calls out to us while Haerin glares suspiciously in our direction. Flustered, we walk side by side towards the parking lot, following distantly behind the rest of the group. The scattered murmurs of the crowd begin to fade behind us, the chirping of crickets and the subtle crunching of rocks underneath our feet taking their place. An ombre of growing indigo looks down at us from a cloudless sky, dotted with specks of starlight thousands of lightyears away. Despite their distance, they shine brightly against the night sky, almost as bright as the girl walking next to me.
“Yuno,” Minji voice breaks through my daydreams, pulling me back to the present. “You’re staring.”
“Ah… Sorry…” I turn my head away to hide the heat creeping up my face, prompting a soft giggle from her.
“You know, you’re not what I expected at all.”
Curious, I turn my gaze back towards her. “What do you mean?”
Her eyebrows furrow as she thinks about her response, and I bite my lower lip to stifle my smile at her cute expression. “Ever since sophomore year, I’ve always heard whispers about this scary guy that goes around fighting people. I never believed it because I thought it was too cliche to be true,” she begins, shooting me a playful glance I scratch the back of my head, suddenly feeling sheepish.
“That is, until two years later, when I come face to face with the ‘scary guy’, all bloody and bruised from a fight that happened two seconds ago. When I first met you, I thought you were some jerk who liked hurting others for the fun of it. I was wrong and I’m sorry.” Minji looks up at me, eyes full of remorse. I’ve seen others use this look on the people I’ve hurt, but never on me. To be on the receiving end of it felt disconcerting.
“You don’t have to apolog-”
“You’re kind and caring and you never hesitate to stand up for what’s right even when no one else will. While I don’t agree with your methods, I think the reason why you fight is very admirable, and if people just stopped being scared of you for two seconds, they could see how cute of a person you are.” Her hand shoots up to her mouth while her eyes go wide with panic.
Did I hear her right? Did she just call me… cute??
“I MEANT GOOD!!” She exclaims, correcting herself. “I meant to say you’re a good person…” We stand there, turned away from each other, too embarrassed to fill the growing silence. The chorus of crickets is quickly drowned out by my heartbeat echoing in my ears. My entire body feels both uncomfortably warm and freezing cold at the same time. The sudden honk of a car horn makes us both jump.
“What are you two still doing? Let’s go!” I turn to see Hanni yell at us from the back seat of an SUV. It seems that Yujin got to the front seat first. Minji and I both trudge towards the car, too embarrassed to even look at each other. Hanni steps out of the car and reclines the seat forward to let us get into the back, where Winter is sitting alone with two empty seats on either side of her.
As we settle in the back seat, I immediately shut my eyes, hoping that falling asleep would make things better. One final thing stays in my mind as I slip into unconsciousness.
She thinks I’m cute.
______________________________________________________________
A gentle shake rouses me from my slumber.
“Yuno, we’re here,” I hear Winter say as my eyes slowly open, finding my bearings. Outside the window, I see the convenience store where Winter works at.
“Winter said you guys live around here, so I hope you don’t mind,” Danielle explains from the front seat. Minji and Hanni step out of the car, allowing for Winter and I to exit.
“See you guys around,” Hanni says, waving goodbye. My eyes meet Minji’s momentarily before we swiftly break away. Not even a second of eye contact and I can already feel my body temperature rising.
“Thanks for the ride! Byeeeeee!” Yujin exclaims as the car disappears down the street. The three of us say our goodbyes to each other before we go our separate ways.
A flurry of emotions fills my stomach as I look back on the oddly eventful day. What started as an excuse to get out of the house turned into my first time at the fair, with Minji no less. I couldn’t help but feel like I’m in some surreal dream and that I’ll wake up one day to find out that none of this ever happened. As odd as all of this feels, I have to admit that I did enjoy it. The ferris wheel especially was… fun.
As I enter my house, I see my dad sitting on the couch, watching some sitcom on the TV. Right. I completely forgot he’s “different” now.
“Hey, Yuno,” he greets, a bright smile on his face. It’s the first time in a while that I’ve seen his smile. “Did you eat? There’s leftover pizza in the fridge if you’re hungry. I tried to cook dinner, but it didn’t turn out right.” A hearty chuckle leaves his lips, a sound that I vaguely remember hearing years ago.
“I’m good. Thanks,” I say as I head towards the stairs. As my foot lands on the first step, a sudden impulse arises within me. “Uh, dad?”
“Hm?” His eyebrows perk up as he looks at me expectantly. I had no idea what I was planning on saying to him. Should I tell him about my day? Should I apologize? Should I tell him about my… “crush”? Is that what that is?
“Uh… Nevermind.” I hurry up the stairs, deciding against saying anything. My head was already filled to the brim with confusing emotions, I didn’t need to add more to the pile. I collapse onto my bed, staring up at the ceiling, the events of today playing in my mind like a broken record. I pull my phone out, fidgeting with the shiny piece of metal in my hand. Minji put her number in my phone. I can talk to her whenever I wanted to. And I do want to. My thumbs freeze right above the keyboard as I figure out what to say to her.
Maybe I should keep it simple with “Hey”. No, that’s too boring. How about “How are you feeling?” What am I, her doctor? Uhhh, maybe “I had fun today.” That’s stupid. Come on, think, Yuno, think. Fuck, I’m shit at this.
Is this what having a crush feels like? This sucks.
______________________________________________________________
Minji’s POV
“AGHHHHHHHHH!!!!” I scream into my pillow, hoping I don’t accidentally alert my parents to my “Teenage Angst”.
Minji!!! Why did you call him cute!? I mean, you’re not wrong, the way he got all embarrassed after missing the basketball hoop was kinda cut- WHAT!? WHAT ARE YOU EVEN THINKING RIGHT NOW!? ARGHHHHHH!!!
I hold onto my bear toy for comfort as I wrestle with the conflicting emotions in my head. Maybe this is just a result of all the stress from prom preparation clouding my judgement and sending me into a whirlwind of confusion. A day that was supposed to be full of leisure and enjoyment was instead full of jealousy and confusion. It wasn’t entirely bad though; riding the ferris wheel with Yuno was… nice. I feel my heart flutter in my chest as I recall that memory. Surely, Hanni’s teasing couldn’t be right… could it? Am I… in love with Yuno Lin?

I'm Not Good Enough🌧️
this movie was fucking ADORABLE i love it so much
Ship: Charlie Denton x gn!Reader
Rating: 13+
Wordcount: 994
Warnings: angst, alcohol, self-doubt, anxiety
Series: Leg's Tuna Tober
Chilled beer flowed past your lips as you drank from the green bottle. The fizz tickled at the back of your nose, bitter and biting, before gliding down your throat. Condensation clung to the glass and wetted your palms.
The digital clock on the end table to your left read "10:23pm," almost half an hour since Max had gone to bed. He would undoubtedly still be awake. That little trouble maker was always working on Atom, reading a booklet on robot boxing, or sketching away at his next big project. His mind never seemed to stop swirling inside his 10-year-old head.
You supposed he got that whirlwind of a brain from his father. Charlie was always two steps away from a nervous breakdown. Anxiety riddled his tired mind on an hourly basis. He'd constantly look to you for reassurance, whether it was about his parenting, his career, or simply how he treated you as a partner.
He sat to your right on the brown leather couch. Twin bottle of beer to your own clutched in his hand, body practically melted into the sofa, head resting back on the cushions with his eyes firmly shut. Wrinkles cracked his tanned skin in the corners of his eyes and the space between his furrowed brows.
"Doing okay?" you asked as quietly as you could, scared to break the uneasy silence that had settled ever since Max was sent to bed. The air in the cluttered living room was heavy with an unidentifiable unease.
Charlie shrugged as his hazel eyes fell open, "Usual bullshit. Don't worry 'bout me."
You sighed as you set your beer on the end table. An array of rings were stained into the light wood from countless nights spent drinking on the couch. Leather creaked under the weight of you shifting to face Charlie.
"I'm always worried about you, hon. What's going on?" you insisted with a gentle prod against his shoulder. He grunted at the poke, lazily swatting your hand away.
"Don't wanna bother you. Forget it," he muttered. Further worry lines creased along his face as he took a long drag from his beer bottle. His Adam's apple bobbed with each thick swallow.
A sigh blew from your pursed lips in a thin stream. Dating someone as anxiety-ridden as Charlie had its challenges. You tried your best to navigate through the raging tempest inside his mind, course-correcting his lost ship along the choppy waves, keeping him from sinking to the ocean floor.
Some days were easier than others. That metric ton of stress that weighed on his mind seemed to lighten, his smile wider, more energy spilling from his bright, hazel eyes. He'd be more willing to practice with Atom on the robot's boxing combinations or to guide Max through verbal commands.
Today was not one of those days.
"How about you tell me the first thought that pops in your head and we leave it at that?" you offered with a kind smile. Seeing your partner like this drove a grief-lined spear through your heart every time. Forced to watch as this extraordinary man folded in on himself, reduced to barely half of his size, as he wallowed in his racing heart and clouded brain.
Charlie considered your proposition for a few moments. He tilted his head back and forth, stretching the tense muscles lining his broad neck.
"Alright," he finally said. You sat up straighter amongst the couch cushions. Focus fully fixed on the man beside you, chin resting in your palm and eyes passing between each of his. He sighed, clearly uncomfortable with your undivided attention, then mumbled, "I feel like I'm not good enough. For Max... And for you."
You kept your expression neutral as his words slammed into your stomach like a sack of bricks. Swallowing the lump that'd gathered in your throat, you said, "What makes you think that?"
"I'm always like this. Always caught up in my own head, not giving both of you the attention that you need. That you deserve," Charlie nearly rambled, voice barely above a whisper. The words tumbled from him like stones dipped in sorrow.
"Both Max and I know that you have your quirks," you began in a joking manner, attempting to lighten the dreary mood, "No one's perfect, Charlie. No one expects you to be at 110% every single day. You're not one of our robots, you're a human. And a great father, at that. I see the way Max looks at you. That kid loves you so damn much. He's a smart kid, he understands what you're going through. Guess what? Doesn't make him love you any less."
The brief speech seemed to settle on Charlie's shoulders like thick snow. His breath shuddered, lower lip quivering, as he screwed his eyes shut, "Do you mean that?"
"Of course I do, hon. We both love you," you said softly while running a hand through his buzzed hair. The short strands tickled at the skin between your fingers.
He threw you off kilter as large arms enveloped you in a tight embrace. His pointed nose buried in your hair, beer long forgotten on the floor, arms squeezing you so tight you couldn't even dream of escaping. Not that you wanted to.
You were quick to return the hug, hands locking behind Charlie's back. Gentle hums leaked from your closed lips as you rested your chin on his shoulder. A little off-key, not quite matching the song you and Charlie had claimed as your own, but it comforted him nonetheless. He settled in your arms like a deflated balloon.
Anxiety is not an easy thing to deal with. It wracks one's mind with endless worry and near-paranoia at times. Makes one's heart race, their skin itching like it's on fire, stomach tying itself in knots. One day you'd get Charlie to see a therapist. Until then, you'd continue plotting his course through the hurricane and into your open arms.
screaming crying throwing up etc.

Hmmm what about a dark riddle brothers x reader non con ? Something like the reader is their enemy . Maybe you can put reader as Harry's gf or sister and they both get enraged by you so they "form a plan" to show you your place and also weaken Harry 🤭🤭
Okay I went a little off closer to the end I think but hopefully it’s still good :)
This does contain smut and other sensitive things so please be aware and don’t read if it makes you uncomfortable
Riddle brothers x reader
Word count: 1639
You had been an enemy of the Riddles for as long as you could remember. They were cruel and disgusting and you despised every inch of the two brothers. The feeling was mutual as well, they hated you just as much as you hated them.
Being a Potter was pretty much the main reason they detested you. Along with you pissing them off about anything and everything because you knew that they hated you and could use it to your advantage.
You had been on your way to class, almost running there because you were late. Going to be even later when you accidently ran into two people, causing you to fall straight down a groan leaving your lips.
“Merlin’s sake wha-oh of course it’s you two.” You rolled your eyes in disgust, grabbing your books and picking yourself up as the Riddles practically towered over you. “God Potter, can you be any more pathetic?” Mattheo scoffed, shoving you aside.
Tom hadn’t said anything yet but with the look he was giving you, you’d be surprised that you aren't dead yet.
“Right like you two could say anything, you’re the most pathetic of them all.” Mattheo only laughed. The insults went back and forth between you and Mattheo before Tom stepped in which startled you a bit.
Tom didn’t often get into these little bickering’s and most of the time watched with distaste, so when he did it was better to make a run for it.
But being the ever so proud Gryffindor you took a step closer, now standing right in front of Tom. A gutsy move proven by the way Tom had raised a brow at you, almost daring you to make another move.
You could sense the latent hostility between all three of you. It was a matter of who would strike first. Of course that person was Mattheo, considering he could never keep his mouth shut in situations like this with a lot of tension.
“Oh please Potter, you’re absolutely worthless. The only reason people actually talk to you is because your brother’s popular. Get it through your head that you are nothing.”
His words were ruthless and meant to hurt you deeply. Instead of getting upset though you looked him dead in the eyes and spoke.
“I’ve been called far worse by much better men. So I’d think again about who really is the worthless one here Riddle.” You walked off right after that sentence. Not really because you were scared but because the professor was going to kill you for being this late.
It hadn’t occurred to you how much that sentence would infuriate the Riddle brothers though and you continued on your day like nothing had even happened that morning.
The problem was that the brothers were anything but calm. They were hatching a plan at that very moment to get back at you. And if it was punishment from them that you’d be expecting, don’t think mercy will be given.
You had gone to bed early that night after such a long day. First being late, then being later from the encounter with the Riddles, your Professor hounding you about it as well because it wasn’t the first time you’ve been late.
So really you were exhausted and fell asleep quite quickly.
After what felt like the longest sleep of your life, you move to get out of bed. Only to realize…you weren’t even in a bed. Your eyes shot open after what felt like a small caress on your cheek. And there meeting your eyes, Tom Riddle.
He was crouched down looking at you with interest while you stared back in horror. What the hell had happened last night? How did you end up here?
All these questions had swarmed your mind, riddling your body with anxiety and trepidation. Tom had noticed this and only smirked at you an eerie feeling sinking in your stomach.
“Hello little dove” His voice was smooth and calm. A voice so solely his that you could never mistake it for another’s.
You had begun to look around much later than you should have but something in Tom’s eyes made it so alluring not to look away. The things you noticed were blood curdling.
You saw chains wrapped around your ankles and wrists. Curtains were open but only darkness could be seen, making you wonder what was really out there. And from how cold it was you could make a guess that you were in the dungeons of Hogwarts.
But it certainly didn’t seem like the slytherin dorms were anywhere near here which only unsettled you more. Just then the door made a creaking noise and in entered Mattheo with that cocky smile of his.
“Poor little Potter doesn’t look like she has much to say now does she?” He was right unfortunately but you don’t think you’ll ever admit to that.
It was suddenly that Tom had gripped your jaw in his hand and turned you back to him making that fear come back in a sudden pulse.
“Listen here little dove. The words that came out of your little mouth this morning is something you are going to regret for a long long time. And we are going to make sure of it.”
I was sure I was going to pass out right then. Their menacing eyes hadn’t looked away from mine at all and I only wished I’d known when to shut up and move on instead of running my mouth like I did. Especially with these two.
Tom's grip got tighter making me want to cry. Apparently Mattheo was good at reading expressions because he picked up on that quickly and crouched down beside his brother.
“You gonna cry pretty?” His tone was teasing. He knew exactly what he was doing. It was working too.
Though when I was least expecting it I felt Tom’s other hand glide against my leg before gripping my thigh roughly. He’d definitely have me pinned down if it wasn’t for the chains already there.
“Here’s the deal.” Tom began. “We are going to punish you how we see fit and you…little dove are going to take whatever we give you. If you try to deny us, it will only get worse.”
Like any human being you started freaking out and trying to refuse barely registering that you were ignoring what he just said about things getting worse. Boy was that stupid.
The second the words went to leave your mouth Tom had moved the hand gripping your jaw and shoved two fingers into your mouth making you gag hard around his fingers.
“Absolutely pathetic. Can’t even listen to a word I say.” Tom kept his fingers in your mouth and removed the one from your thigh only for Mattheo to swoop in. He took his brother's spot while Tom moved to your side.
Mattheo quickly removed the chains and relief rushed through you. That was until you felt his rough hands begin to grope at your thighs being sure that there will be bruises by tomorrow.
Without hesitation Mattheo had ripped off your sleep shorts without a care as you gasped in shock. Though that only encouraged Tom’s fingers to go deeper in your throat as you tried desperately not to gag.
You felt more and more of Mattheos' hands as they grew more daring. Playing with the soft lace outline of your panties almost teasing you as if to say “guess my next move.”
If you didn’t know what feeling nervous felt like before you definitely knew it now. Not knowing their next move was probably the worst of it.
And that was about the only thing your mind was saying when Mattheo pushed a finger into your hole, panties pushed to the side, and a shocked expression on your face. Both of the boys were smirking at you as he continued to swiftly move his finger in and out quickly before adding a second.
You bit down on your lip ruthlessly when Tom had pulled his fingers out of your mouth so that you could conceal your moans and not give them the satisfaction of it.
As Mattheos fingers continued their assault to your pussy Tom had untied the chains on your wrists as well with you hardly knowing it. He sat behind you now pulling up your shirt and tossing it to the side. Almost groaning at the sight of your braless tits.
His hands were quick to play with your nipples, relishing in how soft and warm they were. Your mind was a buzz to say the least. Mattheo’s fingers pumping in and out of you, Tom’s fingers against your bare chest, as well as his mouth creating dark spots around your neck.
The rest was a blur and just like that you sandwiched between the two with both of them fucking you relentlessly. Mattheo had been lying on his on his back fucking up into your pussy as he had you straddling his waist.
While Tom on the other hand had been above you, his cock hitting from behind, moving their bodies in sink, making you just want to melt into them.
“G-Gonna..mhphhh.” You sputtered out. The pleasure to overwhelming for your mind to come up with a proper sentence. However Tom had helped you out. “Gonna cum for us little dove, gonna cum because of the people you hate?”
You nodded quickly as your moans increased. Your orgasm hit you like a truck as you practically screamed out against Mattheo’s shoulder. He was the next to cum, spilling it all in your sweet cunt. Tom following suit.
Just as you were finally beginning to relax they had both pulled out of you and flipped you on your back.
“Not so fast. We aren’t even close to finishing your punishment.”
Hope you enjoy 😊

dont repost. dont translate. minors, ageless & default blogs; dni! feedback and reblogs are highly advised and appreciated!
it started off small. at first, it was a few late nights at the office. then, he became secretive. he'd hide his phone from you, rush to it and snatch it off you when he had a text. he started to lie to you. “just going to the store. i will be five minutes.” but those minutes turned to hours.
you don't know what's happened to the man you loved. when you and jisung met, he was so sweet, caring and attentive. he made you laugh with his stupid and corny jokes. he knew how to brighten your day when you were feeling low. he knew how to make you feel loved.
the first day of every month, he bought you a single rose until you had twelve, then twenty-four, then twenty-six. those roses are dead. the petals crumble from a gentle touch, the colour drained and rotten and black. the water is dirty and murky yet they still sit on your coffee table as a painful reminder that the love you both shared, is just as dead as those roses.
touch became little to nothing. sex was none existent. jisung has a high sex drive so for him to go months without having sex with you, is strange. he no longer kisses you, hugs you or holds your hand. he can't even look you in the eyes.
does he hate you? does he no longer want to be with you? do you not please him enough? all these questions and more swim in and out of your mind, day in, day out. you're riddled with anxiety when you watch him walk out the door to work. you're riddled with guilt for questioning the relationship; for questioning his love for you.
it got so bad and so draining that you considered putting a tracker on his phone and spying on him. but you couldn't bring yourself to do something like that – all you had to do was trust him even if your gut was telling you differently.
everything you thought of, every question that was left unanswered and every action of jisung's that was questionable have now all be answered due to the fact that you have found messages from him to another.
you feel sick to your stomach. rage bubbling and rushing through your veins like hot molten lava. your hands tremble and palms sweat as you scroll through his messages. you locked yourself in the bathroom, jisung fast asleep in the bed you both share.
you know it's a huge breach of trust to go through someone's phone without permission, but you heard him on the phone earlier. you heard him say “i'll be there, baby.” you watched him walk out the door minutes later and return two hours later with a purple bruise on his neck and smelling of another. you saw the guilt in his eyes as you questioned him.
he's a terrible liar.
you could wake him up there and then, question him about everything. wake him up with the harsh truth that you know everything but you wait. you want at least one more day to be sure, one more day of calmness before the boat rocks and you sink to the bottom. you know the proof is there in your hands, the messages, the naked pictures, the calls and the sexting. it's there but you need and want to be absolutely sure.
jisung is your everything and more. he's your world and he's taught you how to love yourself again. everything you've built together, gone in less than a second. the trust you had for him, shattered. your heart, crumbling like the rose petals.
you've seen enough. you close his phone before making your way back to bed. you place his phone back on the side table before sliding into bed beside him. you lay on your back, staring blankly at the ceiling as tears blur your vision and spill from the corners of your eyes. your heartbeat thumping loudly in your ears, shattering with each tear that trickles down your skin.
a nightmare turned into reality.
you tried to act normal the next day to not raise suspicions. you tried to go about the day as if you didn't know but flashes of the texts shoot across your mind leaving you feeling sick and shackled. the rage building and building until you finally snapped. all it took was for jisung to return home late smelling of them, once again.
“where have you been?” you ask sweetly from your position on the sofa. jisung shrugs as he takes off his shoes.
“with changbin. i thought i told you before. he invited me out for dinner.”
“mhm, maybe you did. must have slipped my mind.” you fake a smile and a chuckle before continuing, jisung walking to you. “how was the meal? where did you eat?”
“it was fine.” he shrugs. “we went to changbin's favourite restaurant.”
you hum and nod as a response. the smell of another strong and tickling your nostrils now that he is much closer to you. you can see his honey skin glistening and his cheeks pink. his lips swollen and kiss bitten.
“so, restaurant with changbin you say.”
“yes.” jisung laughs. “is that a pro–”
“funny you should say that, ji.” you interrupt him. “because i phoned changbin up and asked about you and he told me that you never showed up. in fact, you never had anything planned with him.”
the colour drains from those round cheeks you adore. his eyes widen in shock as the cogs turn in his head in search of an excuse – a lie.
he laughs, a fake laugh, as he shifts his weight from one foot to the other whilst rubbing the back of his neck. you stand up from your seat, eyebrow raised as you stare him dead in the eyes.
“oh c'mon, maybe he forgot.” he stutters, his voice shaking. you scoff which causes jisung to swallow.
“you're such a bad liar. not only are you using your best friend as an excuse, you can't even tell me the truth!”
“oh, c'mon yn. i'd never lie to you. i have no reason to lie to you!”
“really? because from where i'm standing, ji your body tells me differently. your brow is coated in sweat, your hands are shaky and clammy. your pupils have blown out and you're swallowing a lot as if your throat has gone dry as well as stumbling over your words and stuttering. you're lying to me, jisung.”
“yn, i have nothing to hide. please tell me why would i lie to you when all i have done is be honest and loving to you. devoted myself to you.” you roll your eyes at his words and scoff. you see red and the words come out like vomit.
“i know.” those two words you speak are enough to shake jisung up. fear clouds his mind and hugs his body. his heart thumps against his chest as his jaw clenches and throat tightens with each swallow of his saliva.
“know what?” he whispers. you stare at him.
“i know you've been sleeping with someone else.”
jisung laughs. a laugh that's forced. a laugh that tries to lighten the situation and make it seem like a joke in hopes that you too, will find it funny and ridiculous of what you're accusing him off.
but it's not funny nor ridiculous. it's true and he knows it. he's been caught.
“i don't know what you're talking about, baby.”
you roll your eyes and scoff. the anger rises to your cheeks. your body is hot with rage but you remain calm not because you want to but because you need to.
“stop lying to me, jisung. just admit it.”
“how did you know?”
“i went through your phone.” you say with a shrug.
“you went through my phone?!” his voice increasing a little in volume, eyebrows furrowed together.
“seriously? me doing through your phone is the least of your worries right now jisung. you've been off with me for weeks, months! you don't touch me, don't talk to me. you barely look at me! it's like i disgust you or something! i needed answers because hell i wasn't going to get any off you.”
“i'm sorry. i've just been stressed, tired. i didn't mean to make–”
“how long?”
“excuse me?”
“how long has this been going on for? and don't even think about lying to me again jisung. all i ask of you is the truth. am i not worthy of that?” you voice shakes, nostrils flaring as hot tears blur your vision. jisung's expression softens, guilt spreading across his face. he sighs in defeat, lips pressing together.
“5 months..” he whispers. you nod once, hastily wiping the tears falling down your cheeks.
“why? is it me? do i not satisfy you enough. am i not good enough for you? i thought we had something, jisung..”
"no! it was never you. i didn't do this out of spite, believe me yn! you're amazing, talented and so beautiful. the first time was a stupid, drunken mistake but–”
“but it felt good.” you finish his sentence with a whisper, your deepest fears coming to light. you and jisung have spent hours talking about your future together. you've spent endless minutes under the sheets together, planning and telling each other your wishes and dreams. he was the man you wanted to spend your life with, your forever after.
you wanted to marry him, have children with him, watch him achieve his goals and dreams. you never thought of him as someone who would cheat and willingly throw everything away – but love is blind they say and you were very blind.
“i thought we had something. the talks we had. our dreams. our future together, gone.” you whisper in disbelief. your heart sinking with each passing second.
“it's not gone, darling.” he walks to you, his voice sickening sweet and gentle. it makes you believe he is just mocking the situation, mocking you as a person. you take one step back away from him and glare.
“don't you dare touch me after what you've done.”
“baby, please. i never meant to hurt you. i've been stressed and wanted some fun, someone to take my stress out onto. it's not my fault you've been so busy lately.”
you look at him in disbelief. your eyes widen in shock. your body moves on its own and it isn't until you hear the harsh slap and feel the sting on your palm do you realize what you've just done.
“don't you dare! don't you fucking dare try and pretend to be the victim and spin this on me! i've been here the whole fucking time, waiting and wondering. questioning myself and this fucking scam of a relationship! do you know how many tears i have shed for you?! do you know how many hours i've spent laying awake at night and wondering why?! do you know that i've been filled with a suffocating amount of anxiety that it's caused me to throw up?!”
with his hand on his now red cheek, he looks up at you and swallows. his cheek burns from your slap. “i'm sorry.. i did–”
“didnt mean it? like you didn't mean to stick your cock into someone else for all these months?!”
“i'm sorry yn. what more do you want me to say or do? because if you have any ideas, please tell me and i'll do it.” the tears that roll down jisung's soft cheeks take you by surprise. his usual, life filled eyes now dead and showing nothing but heartbreak. they still shimmer though due to the tears that cascade down his soft cheeks – those cheeks you've missed squeezing and cooing over for hours and hours on end.
those cheeks that you adore because they belong to the man you adore.
“tell me yn, please i beg of you. i'm sorry. i'm sorry for making you feel this way. i'm sorry for doing what i've done. i'm sorry for being selfish and for being a jerk.” he walks towards you with you walking backwards. your heart races as he gets closer and closer to you and soon, your movement ends due to your back hitting the wall.
“ji, please..” you all but whisper. a broken whisper, a pleading whisper. you want all this to end, to turn back time to when things were simpler. to when he was yours and only yours.
you squeeze your eyes shut to avoid looking at jisung but you can smell him. underneath the stench of the other person, you smell his natural scent. the scent you find the utmost comfy in. the scent that calms your mind and grounds you. your security. your safe space.
“i love you yn.” you open your eyes slowly, bottom lip quivering. you allow the tears to freefall down your cheeks as you're now face to face with him. “i love you.”
as he repeats the words, you allow him to reach down and hold your hand. is it your palms that are sweaty or his? either way, his skin is soft and tender. you can feel his hands all over your body. his fingers gently caressing your skin, setting it ablaze.
“i can't..” you shake your head. “this isn't – this isn't fair, jisung.” you sob.
he gives you a sad yet gentle smile as he brushes away your tears. his hand lingers for a split second and you allow yourself a moment of weakness, a moment of submission.
you feel his lips being pressed against yours gently and you allow it. you don't fight him. you don't push him away. you want him and you hate that about yourself.
his lips are so soft, so gentle. they're plump and mold beautifully with yours. he cups both your cheeks as you tilt your head to the side and moves your lips with his in a soft and passionate kiss. tears continue to fall down your cheeks as well as his own as you hold onto his wrists.
you just want him. just one more night of pure bliss. a night of pretending.
the kiss deepens and turns more passionate. your body aches and burns from his simple touches. you've been touch starved of him for months and his simple touches are making you weak at the knees.
his tongue glides along your bottom lip slowly, asking – begging for permission which you grant but slowly parting your lips for him. you groan softly as his body presses flush against yours, his leg between yours and thigh pressing against your core.
his tongue enters your mouth where he caresses and tastes the inside. soft grunts and moans being swallowed by one another. tongues caressing and fighting for dominance as well as saliva mixing in the process. his hands drops from your cheeks to your hips where he holds and moves them back and forth so you rub against his thigh.
“ji..” you gasp as you pull away for a brief second. you pant a little before groaning softly as he leans in and peppers kisses along your neck. from the corner of your eye, you see the purple bruise from the other person and your heart sinks to your stomach like a dead weight. the tears come back and flow down your cheeks but you tilt your head to the side and allow jisung to kiss and mark your skin, acting like you belong to him and him only.
even though he doesn't belong to you anymore.
with each kiss, with each touch of his skin, a piece of your heart breaks off and crumbles to the floor but you're so consumed with him. his scent, his touch, his mind, body and soul. you've longed for him. longed for him to just take you, devour you, indulge in you.
“jisung.” you whisper softly. he pulls away from your neck. his lips glistening with saliva, his cheeks red and eyes glassy with lust and want. he wants you and it fills you up with so much ecstacy. you finally feel wanted.
jisung's grip on your hips tightens as he moves them a little faster. his thigh tenses under you, hardening as it rubs against your pussy through the layers of clothing. jisung presses his lips against yours again, this time it's messy, filled with want, need, desire and lust.
teeth bash together. saliva mixing and spilling from the lips. your lips swell as he nibbles and kisses them. you reach down between your bodies to cup his erection which causes jisung to gasp softly and hips to buck automatically in your hand.
you start by palming him slowly, feeling just how much he wants you. you trace his outline through the layers of fabric with your fingers before squeezing and palming him slowly but roughly.
his hands leave your hips to travel up your stomach from under your t-shirt where he stops just below your breasts. his fingers dance along your skin before cupping the soft flesh in his hands where he rolls and kneads them in his palms. you groan, eyes fluttering shut as you lean against the wall, hips grinding down on his thigh.
jisung watches you. he watches you unravel and fall right into the palm of his hands. he knows your weak spots, knows what you like and don't like but he also knows what drives you insane. your lips part as your breathy moans in the form of his name fall past them. his fingertips brush against your hard nipples where he teases them by delicately running his fingers over them.
it leaves goose bumps on the skin, your nipples to harden even further. your eyes open as you shake your head and beg;
“don't tease me. i need you more than ever.”
jisung swallows, his body shivering at your words. you look so desperate for him. a look of intense lust and need spread all over your features. your hips moving on their own and your hands grasping at his clothing. you're begging for him, for his touch. you're begging for him to indulge in you.
he takes your hand and drags you to the bedroom. he strips himself off his clothing, the sight of his gorgeous tanned skin makes you throb. his broad shoulders and bulging chest. his tiny waist and soft stomach – you want it all.
he drops his underwear, letting them pool around his ankles before stepping out of them. his cock standing proud and leaking a little at the tip. you watch, frozen in time. your eyes trail from his chest to his penis where you admire it. the length, the way his foreskin hugs his tip, the veins that are slowly protruding along the sides; you feel so new, so vulnerable and no one can blame you. you haven't seen him naked in months so seeing him like this is enough to set a raging fire to burn in your stomach.
your breath hitches as he walks to you. he pulls your t-shirt up and over your head before latching onto your breasts. he suckles on your nipple, tongue playing and swirling around the hard bud. he coats it in his saliva, his tongue flat as he swipes it.
one hand on your neglected breast, one hand currently pulling your bottoms and underwear off. his fingers tugging at your nipple simultaneously with each flick on his tongue. your fingers find their way into his silky smooth hair where you grasp and tug at the roots.
your bottom half is hit with cold air as your clothing shimmies down your legs and pools at your feet. the hand that was pulling your clothing off is now attached to your ass cheek where he massages the flesh and pulls your naked half flush against his own.
his cock slides between your thigh and rubs between your folds. you both gasp and shiver, jisung now gripping onto your ass cheeks as he thrusts his hips slowly, rubbing his cock against your cunt and plush thighs. he growls, teeth now sinking into the skin of your breasts before sucking and leaving purple bruising.
“so good.. fuck, i've missed you.” he moans as he buries his head in the crook of your neck. you swallow hard, swallowing down that burn in your throat as you blink back tears.
i've been here the whole time you wish to say but you don't want to ruin the mood. you have him, finally after months and months of waiting. you've allowed yourself to be weak, to indulge in his touch that you've craved.
you push back the negative thoughts, force yourself into forgetting about his affairs. as far as you're concerned, it's just you and him in the moment. you can play pretend – for one more night at least.
jisung cups your cheeks and kisses you messily. he's always been like this; sloppy and needy. it makes you wonder if he is the same with them as he is with you. you push the thought to the side as you kiss him back just as messily, desperation coursing through your veins and lust clouding your better judgment.
during the kiss, jisung walks forwards, pushing you backwards with each step until you hit the bed and fall back. without breaking the kiss, he kneels between your legs and leans over you, hands by the side of your head.
“69?” he questions in a breathy tone. you simply nod and hum before you both shuffle around and position yourselves. you on top, head by jisung's cock with your legs on either side of his head, cunt eye level with him.
he licks his lips hungrily, taking in a deep breath of your scent before moaning loudly and grabbing your ass cheeks. you giggle before grabbing the base of his cock and slowly stroke him.
he grunts before latching onto your swollen clit. your hips buck as his tongue swipes and toys with it, lips wrapping around the swollen bud as he sucks. two of his fingers rub between your puffy folds. a hum of satisfaction as he feels your slick coating his fingers up nicely.
“so fucking wet for me. i love how wet i make you, yn.” he mumbles.
“only for you, baby.” you purr as you lazily stroke him. you pull back his foreskin, watching it slip down from his tip and revealing its red state. it's swollen, beads of precum forming before dispersing. his skin is hot against your palm. you lean down to press your tongue flat and glide it along his tip, collecting the salty precum.
you wrap your lips around his tip, lowering your head further down on his shaft. his thickness causes the corner of your lips to stretch and for you to feel full despite only managing less than half. jisung groans from below you, his penis being encapsulated in your warmth and wetness.
it makes him want to fuck you right there and then. feel your soft and gummy walls tighten around his length. watch his shaft glisten in your slick – but he waits. he wants to play with your pretty pussy some more. he wants to feel it throb and beg for more of his touch.
he loves how slick you feel. how you respond to his touch so well. he loves it, so much so, that he becomes riddled with guilt. his mind switches and turns back to the many times he was out for hours on end with the other person. they don't feel as good as you. they don't sound as good as you, yet he still continued because he became addicted to the thrill.
he knew he was hurting you. he saw each piece of you crumble every time he returned home. the sullen look on your face, your eyes puffy and red whilst filling up with tears as you noticed yet another bruise. he's a coward, he knows that. the amount of times he's wanted to tell you, to confess his sins, makes him feel sick to his own stomach.
he doesn't recognise himself anymore. the thrill of being with another changed him, changed him into something he vowed to never be. he became the man he hates. he willingly threw everything that he had with you away. the dreams, the talks, the wants and desires – gone!
he knows you'll never be able to bounce back from this. he knows that if you do decide to stay with him, he has his work cut out. he knows your anxiety will be all over the place and your trust in him is little to nothing; but if you're willing to give him another chance, he will try so hard until he is red in the face and sweating blood and shedding tears.
he wouldn't blame you if you broke up with him though. in fact, that's what he is expecting after all this. this isn't make-up sex, it's different. it's the calm before the storm (even though the storm has already happened) it's goodbye sex. one more night of passion. one more night of embracing each other before going your separate ways. the thought of spending the rest of his life without you, pains jisung and a burning lump forms in his throat.
he only has himself to blame though.
all his thoughts get casted aside as he feels his tip touch your throat. he wraps his arms around your ass, pulling you down so you're flush on his face. he buries his face in your cunt, licking and spitting, smearing and caressing. you bob your head up and down a few times before releasing him from your mouth. you stroke him as you spit on his tip and smear it in with your thumb so it mixes with his precum.
his hips buck as his dick throbs. he's sensitive. your touch is (and always has been) like fire to him. your mouth is once again on him, licking and sucking. it's sloppy and messy just how he likes it.
whilst you suck, jisung pushes two of his fingers inside your aching core with ease due to your slick. your walls welcome him, hugging his fingers tightly as he thrusts them. you squeeze your eyes shut, basking in the pleasure that warms your body and veins. his tongue is latched onto your clit as he swirls it around and kitten licks it. his fingers hook and curl against your walls, pushing more inside until he brushes against your g-spot.
when he does, your thighs shake and all your weight disappears. you pull from his cock, moaning in a breathy tone and asking for more.
“j-jisung.. ji.. fuck!”
“my name sounds so beautiful when it rolls off your tongue.” he hums.
“m-more. please.”
“what do you want, baby? tell me.”
“i want you to fuck me.” you whimper. jisung hums and positions you on your back gently. he kneels between your legs, hands on your hips as he admires your body.
he's been in this position with you many times before but today just feels different. it feels new, odd, strange but not bad. it feels like you two are having sex for the first time. everything feels like a dream, nothing is real and jisung is scared. he doesn't know what to do anymore.
as he reaches over to the bedside table for a condom, he is abruptly stopped by your hand grabbing his wrist.
“no. no protection. i want to feel you, jisung.” he swallows thickly. he's always wanted to fuck you raw but for safety (and common sense) reasons, you've both been careful.
“are you sure?” the tips of his ears burn red as you nod.
“yes.” you look to the side, avoiding his gaze as you mumble. “just do whatever you want.”
his heart shatters as he knows what you mean. he's been doing what he wants for months so why stop now? you sound so defeated, so energy less that it feels wrong. with a soft sigh, he grabs a condom, rips it open and rolls it onto his hard length.
“what are you doing?”
“i can't do that.”
“why? you've always wanted to. i gave you permission to do so, so why are you not doing it?”
“yes, you gave me consent but it just doesn't feel right. i do want to fuck you raw and feel you but it just doesn't feel right. maybe next time?”
“next time?” you question with a raised brow. “there's going to be a next time?” jisung looks down and swallows. he doesn't say a word to which you sigh at. “just, hurry up and fuck me ji. i want to feel you still and have some fun. i still want to indulge you.”
“really?”
“really.”
with a nod, he guides his length to your entrance. you groan softly as he breaches you, stretching you in the process. he holds your waist tightly as you grip onto the sheets. you've forgotten how thick he is and how much the stretch burns, no matter how much jisung prepares you.
“fucking tight.” jisung says between laboured breaths. you hum as a response, breathing slowly as he pushes half his length inside. he stays to allow you to get used to his size, to allow the burn to subside. when it does, you give him the ok but he doesn't move.
you frown, repeating your ok again. his head is hanging low, his grip on you so tight. you lean up on your elbows for a better view.
“ji? are you ok?” your eyes widen when you hear the most painful, heart-breaking sob from him. a sound you've never heard from him before. a sound you wish to never hear. it makes your mind go blank, your heart to sink to your stomach for the nth time.
“'m sorry..” he whispers, tears dripping down his cheeks. “'m so so sorry.”
his voice cracks. he sounds so small, so vulnerable. tears blur your own vision before falling down your cheeks slowly.
“look at me.” he refuses so you repeat your sentence again, this time much more softly. he obeys, looking at you with tear stained cheeks and wet lashes.
“it'll be ok.” you say with a sad smile.
“no, it won't be! the damage is already done yn. i fucked up massively and my biggest fear will come true.”
“you only have yourself to blame ji. if you just told me about the drunken one night, then we could have got through it together and be ok again. but you went back to them, sober and willing. i was made to feel second best.”
“you're never second best to me, yn..”
“but i am. you didn't think about me when you left the house. you didn't think about me when you went to them. you didn't think about me when you fucked them. i am second best. you made me feel like i'm second best, ji.”
“i'm sorry. i know i keep repeating myself but i'm so terrible sorry! i'm the worst. i'm disgusting, a pig!”
“hey.” you reach up and wipe away his tears. “you fucked up, yes. massively if that, but that doesn't mean you should talk about yourself like that, darling. the jisung i know, the jisung i loved was kind, considerate, caring. you made me feel so alive and special.”
“i've become the man i hate.”
“one question.”
“mhm?”
“did you–” you swallow as you brace yourself. “did you enjoy it with the other person?”
“no.” jisung looks you square in the eyes. “it wasn't so much about the person as it was the thrill. i became addicted to it. i lost myself and in the process, i hurt you.”
you nod before falling back onto your back. he's telling the truth. you've known him long enough to know if he is lying or not. however, this just made your decision much more difficult. if he had given you a different answer, it would've been much easier for you to leave.
but you're attached to him. attached to the way he makes you feel. attached to the memories, good and bad! he's everything to you and more. you don't want to leave him, you don't want to be alone. you want to spend your life with jisung because he is all you've ever known.
however, it wouldn't be fair on either of you. you won't be able to trust him, question his every move. he has patience but a person only has so much so how long will it be until you drive him away and lose him for good.
tears drip down the bridge of your nose as you think. your teeth digging into your bottom lip. you let out shaky breathes as you feel jisung lean over you and cup your cheeks gently.
your eyes lock with his. his tears dripping onto your cheeks and merging with yours.
“i love you.” he whispers. you swallow and shake your head.
“no you don't. if you did, you wouldn't have done what you've done. you wouldn't have made me feel like this.”
it hurts him, like a dagger to the heart but he understands where you're coming from. both consumed with negative thoughts, jisung holds your waist gently and sniffs.
“shall we?” he asks. you nod and close your eyes, waiting to be basked and filled with so much pleasure, it clouds your thoughts and masks your feelings.
jisung starts off slow and steady, picking up the pace once he hears your soft moans. the pleasure soon overrides the negativity as you (and jisung) become consumed with each other once again.
your gummy walls squeeze around his shaft. the sound of skin on skin and your soppy cunt mixing together with the breathy moans. you call for his name, reaching up for him. he leans down, pressing his chest against yours as you wrap your arms around his neck and legs around his waist.
he pushes more of himself inside until he is balls deep. you nuzzle into his neck, inhaling his natural scent that mixed with the smell of sweat. jisung's hot breathes fan against your neck, his lips occasionally kissing your neck as he thrusts.
“feels good.” you moan softly.
“me too. you feel so good around me, yn. fuck, you feel so fucking amazing!”
“keep going, please! don't stop.” you whine. he nods as his tip bumps against your g-spot. your body jerks and muscles twitch. each thrust, rub and bump of your insides brings you closer to the edge. you tighten around him, squeezing him tightly as your gut burns.
“it's ok. cum around my cock, yn.” he purrs before kneeling up. he holds your inners thighs far apart as he thrust fast. his gaze fixated on your cunt and the way it devours his cock. you whine and with a few more thrusts, you're calling out his name as your orgasm hits you.
your walls contract around jisung's length. your mind blank and back arching off the bed. it only takes a few more thrusts from jisung before he is trembling and emptying his cock into the condom.
once you're both calm and relaxed from the high, he pulls out slowly. he rolls the condom off, ties it and discards it in the trash.
“want to shower together?” he asks, hopefully.
“um, no. i think i will shower after you.” jisung nods and gives you a sullen smile. as soon as the bathroom door closes, reality hits you like a bus.
you can't stop it. the pent up emotions finally overflow and spill. tears stream down your cheeks as you cry hard. you struggle to breath as you cry for the man you once loved and knew. you're so confused, mind fuzzy and muddled as you're unsure on what to do.
you want him. you want him so badly but it pains you. you can't look at him without seeing him with them. without feeling like you will always be second best, like you'll never be enough.
jisung hears it all. he hears your broken wails and sobs and it pains him even more to know that he is the cause of your pain. if he could turn back time, back to when things were simpler, he would've never attended that stupid party that started all this. he only has himself to blame.
he's not a religious man but he prays that as soon as he is done in the shower; you will still be there.

𝓣𝔀𝓼𝓽 𝓫𝓸𝔂𝓼 𝔀𝓲𝓽𝓱 𝓪 𝓡𝓮𝓪𝓭𝓮𝓻 𝓽𝓱𝓪𝓽’𝓼 𝓪𝓯𝓻𝓪𝓲𝓭 𝓸𝓯 𝓪𝓷𝓲𝓶𝓪𝓵𝓼!
Ft. Epel, Silver and Riddle
Pshh of course these headcanons aren’t blatantly based on me, what are you talking about???
Warnings: None
Epel Felmier
Growing up in Harveston, it wasn’t hard to see an animal here or there. He’s probably really used to animals in general.
If you don’t out right tell him, it’ll probably take a while for him to piece things together.
It most likely hits him when he thinks back on your moments together, and analyses when you’ve been awkward and uncomfortable.
And then he realizes, you don’t like animals!
He remembers hearing from Ace and Deuce that it took you quite some time to warm up to Grim.
He also thought back to the time when the both of you were out about town and a cat slowly approached and brushed itself against you.
He visibly saw your body become still, he didn’t think much about it and deduced you were just shocked by the sudden touch.
And also that time when the two of you were enjoying a small picnic. It was after finals and the both had of you desperately needed a de-stress. So he proposed a picnic.
Everything was going fine. Until…
A group of geese came by and you started choking on the sandwich you were eating. The thought of the memory alone made him (the word I’m looking for)
Now if there’s one thing Epel would do, it would be to help you slowly get over your fear.
He would definitely start off small, building up your confidence bit by bit till you aren’t that afraid anymore.
Silver Vanrouge
(Let the boy have his proper last name 😤)
Little critters have always been a part of Silver’s every day life.
From waking up in the morning to going to bed at night, there wasn’t a time where a small animal wasn’t there to accompany him.
He found that they took a keen interest in him, and enjoyed his presence.
And who was he kidding, they could be insanely cute at times…
He found out quite early on that you weren’t so partial when it came to animals.
Whenever the animals showed themselves, you always happened to make yourself scarce.
He was quick to put two and two together, but then the confusion set in.
He understood why you didn’t like animals, but at the same time he couldn’t exactly wrap his head around it.
He would definitely ask if you wanted/needed any help with getting over your fear.
If you said yes, he would always be there to lend a helping hand. He celebrates your progress by doing something very special for you. <3
And when you were just about over your fear, he would tell you how proud of you he is. 😤
If you said no, he would understand and continue on with your frequent hangouts. But you noticed the animals never appeared around him whenever the two of you would be in each other’s presence. Weird…
Riddle Rosehearts
He finds out on any regular Tuesday.
Except that it wasn’t!
Because the hedgehogs needed tending too
Riddle graciously invited you over, he saw this as an opportunity to educate you on the Heartslabyul customs as well as spending quality time with you.
You on the other hand were scared to death. You knew the hedgehogs were mostly harmless creatures. But knowing that an animal was not dangerous at all never did anything to curb your fear.
As you dreadfully burrowed through your closet to find something in the color of pink, you thought of all the ways this little hangout could go wrong…
What if Riddle starts to think less of you because of your fear????
What if everyone in the Heartslabyul dorm stars to ridicule you????
Your mind came up with horrific scenarios each one more disturbing than the last.
Safe to say your anxiety was far from quelled by the time you stepped into the Heartslabyul dorm.
Things ended up being nothing short of a disaster…
[insert terrible outcome here because my brain is fried and tired]
After that complete fiasco, Riddle lightly scolded you about how if you ever felt uncomfortable you should deny a request as soon as possible.
Riddle understands that different people struggle with different things, and he never pries you for any information about your apparent fear for animals.

FLIP A COIN
CHAPTER II
Smacking your hand over your phone, you drag it towards you with your eyes closed before opening one eye to switch off the alarm ringing through your ear drums. Your eyes do a double take as you catch a glimpse of the time, shooting you straight into immediate panic as you jump out of bed, quickly tossing on a t-shirt that is laid out at the foot of your bed. “Fuck, fuck, fuck” you mumble to yourself as you pull your hair into a high ponytail, quickly wiping the mascara off your under-eyes. Zipping up your pants, you run over to your kitchen, grabbing your belt along with your radio and weapon, snapping them into place as you open the front door, only to speed back into the bedroom to grab your forgotten phone.
Walking into the office felt like a scene out of a movie, eyes gawking at you from every direction as you walked in, the other officers creating a path for you. What the fuck? Smiling in confusion and discomfort, you make your way to your glass office, your sergeant and watch commander standing with their arms crossed, waiting for you to shut the door behind you.
“So sorry, I overslept, Sir” you apologize awkwardly as you take your leather jacket off.
“You being late isn't why we are here” your watch commander stated sternly, his eyes panned in disappointment. Double what the fuck?
“Oh- whats, uh, what's going on?” you inquire with a broken voice, your senses rising to a hundred. You swallowed down, hard, as your sergeant walked to the glass cabinet at the side of your desk, scanning your framed awards and trophies for the work you've done.
“I thought giving you this case would be simple, a quick case opened and closed, but no.” he insinuated flatly, his back turned to you as his arms rested on his lower back.
“Sir, I'm so close, it's been a little harder than expected” you admit in defense, completely confused by the tension sitting in your chair, admiring the scene as you fall apart in anxiety.
“At what cost?” your watch commander chipped in, his eyes trained on your tired face, your eyes dark from insomnia.
“What? Sir I’m confused by what's going-”
“When was the last time you spoke to Officer Lanes?” he interrogated calmly as the sergeant rounded his way back to you, standing side by side with your watch commander.
“Last night? Why? Is something wrong?” you asked with concern slipping through, your gut telling you there's something they're not telling you, something is terribly wrong. You can feel it.
“Nothing is wrong, Officer Lanes is perfectly okay, but you not so much” the sergeant joined back in, watching you like a hawk.
You tilt your head back, taken aback by how they're jumping around what's wrong, speaking in riddles, almost as if they're waiting for you to spill. Confess. “Am I in trouble for something?” you interrogate in response, unwilling to jump around in circles and waste more time, or worse, incriminate yourself. You knew exactly what their ‘innocent’ questions meant, they think you've done something, you know that because it's what you do all day, it's your job.
Your watch commander exhales harshly before he throws a glance to the sergeant before he nodded at him, allowing the watch commander to explain. “We wanted to hear what you have to say before we do this, we trust you, and frankly we're both very disappointed in you” he expressed as you spiraled, your heart in your mind beating in echoes, muffling his words as he continued. “Officer Lanes came to us this morning, told us about last night, how you've been inappropriate to her, harassing her after work, showing up to her place and even persuading her into.. Uh, sleeping with you” he finished, the last part falling in a croak at how uncomfortable he was by having to be the one to say it out loud.
You couldn't help but burst into a loud chuckle of disbelief, completely nonplussed by the things you were hearing. “Do you think this is funny, detective?” the sergeant spoke up, his tone searching for amusement. Goosebumps spread over your skin, realizing this is real, you're being accused of abusing your inferior. Fuck. You couldn't feel your pulse, you felt as if you're floating into space, your mind and body numb from the shit you've dug yourself in. She's the victim, and you're the predator.
“I- that's not true.. She wanted it to-” you gulp the remainder of your sentence down with your courage as you look at their faces, knowing you've just made it worse. You just shot yourself in the foot, and there's no way out.
“I'm going to need your gun and badge, I am hereby placing you under administrative leave effective immediately. You are not to leave town, you are not to act as detective or any form of enforcement in any capacity, including court. We will let you know of any changes once the investigation is no longer pending” the watch commander asserted as he opened his arm to take your gun as you paused for a moment. “Detective,” he warned gently.
“Sorry” you mumbled as you took the badge off your belt, passing it to him with your eyes pinned to the badge in his palm, your hands trembling as you processed what had just happened. “What now?” you whispered, your eyes blurring ever so slightly as you glanced up at them both.
“You go home, think over your defense” your commander advised, a faint crack in his voice seeping under his stoicism, confirming to you it wasn’t a decision either of them wanted. Clenching your jaw to hold the tears desperate to escape, you nod in understanding as your chin tremors.
A stillness that can only be described as a frozen moment in time takes over before they separate from one another, creating an opening for you to exit your office. Swallowing your pride, you step out in silence, the whispers dancing around you as they gaze at the consequence of negligence and emotions. You expected to feel angry, but all you felt was betrayal, not only by her, but by yourself as well, allowing yourself to end up in this position. Now you've lost it all, in a flash of a second, you've lost your career, your dream, and Sevika.
Your feet formed a mind of their own as you walked to your car, your head ringing profusely as the heel of your foot hit the concrete beneath you with every footstep. You had no idea what's next. Leaning on the little voice in your head, you drove down to the little bar hiding a block away, welcoming all the walking dead men and women, every degenerate and drunk, keeping eachother company.
Locking the door behind you, you take a deep breath before pulling the door open, walking into the somber bar and sitting down in the corner, away from any form of life. “I'll have a Johnnie, neat. Please” you murmur as you rest your head on your palm, your elbows keeping you up.
“Tough day at the office?” the bar man inquired as he poured your whiskey glass, sliding it over to you as he walked up to you.
“You could say that” you replied with an audible scoff, still in disbelief at the turn of events.
“You stuck on a case?” he suggested as he turned his back to you, placing clean glasses on the shelf, preparing for the afternoon rush while it was quiet. You furrow your brows as you look up at him, taken aback by his knowledge of you being a cop.
“How did you-?”
“It's obvious you're a cop, jeans with a t-shirt and a leather jacket? Seriously? You couldn't be a more stereotypical cop.” he pointed out as he turned back around to face you, one brow raised as he scanned your attire.
You let out a little chuckle as you down your drink, amused by his judgemental analysis. “You should be a detective yourself, Mr Sherlock” you rebuke playfully as you slide your glass back to him, indicating for a second pour.
“I should, shouldn't I?” he remarked with a warm little laugh of his own, pouring your glass before he pulled his attention to the man at the other side of the bar calling him over. You grab your second glass, allowing the whiskey to burn its way down your throat, getting rid of the lump hidden in it. You let your head back down to the bar as your arms shield your face, your foot tapping against the bar rod along with the slow beat of the music playing in the background. An oncoming shuffle of a person approaches before they sit down beside you, their leg slightly brushing against yours as you shift back slightly, not bothered to pay any attention to their presence.
“Do you usually start drinking at 11 AM?” your heart falls to your gut at the voice, the owner of it being only one possible person, and here they are, delivering themselves to you. In reflex, you slide your hand to your gun holster as you lift your head, only to be met with her brow raised, amusement lingering in her stone eyes. “Tsk, they took your gun, remember?” she taunted as she slid her jacket slightly, revealing the pistol in her holster. “They didn't take mine. stay” she asserted, her tone flat, almost as if she's bored, routined.
“W-what? What are you doing here?” you ask as you lower your leg to the ground, preparing yourself for an easy escape. Her words were so contradictive with how calm she was, there were no nerves in her, she was confident. Her arms looked as though she didn't need her gun to kill you, a simple wrap around them and she'd crush you, her build was hunched over the thin bar stool, her shoulders leaned forward as she relaxed.
“Do you usually stutter when you investigate someone?” she pondered, her eyes now turned to her glass as she raised it before pinning her attention back to you. “Cheers?” she offered, a thin smile forming for the first time since you met.
“Cheers? To what?” you questioned cautiously, your body frozen at a loss of escape, or defense for that matter, and her aura was making you extremely unnerved.
“To freedom” Sevika answered, her features sharp as she waited for you to obey.
For some reason, her words, mixed in with the smug grin plastered on her beautiful face pulled a rage only the fool would act on, and it looked like you were a fool, with a death wish. You didn't have a weapon, but you had a fair amount of skill, not enough to beat her, but enough to let your adrenaline convince you that you can. Lifting your glass to feign a cheer, you pull the most convincing smile you can muster as you watch her cling her glass against yours. Catching your opportunity, you shift your arm forward and smash the glass onto her head, causing her to grunt heavily as she loses her posture, giving you just enough time to gain a head start.
The lungs in your chest clamped together, ready to keep you afloat for this escape, hoping to put those running skills to good use. Slamming the bar door open, you let your feet take charge, running as fast as you can, each breath counting down as you made it further and further. You didn't dare look back, knowing if you do, it'll be a lost cause, it always is. All you knew was that she was behind you, you could see her shadow against the hot day, the sun reflecting on the pavement. She was getting closer. You strategize as you keep going, scanning for the best route to take, knowing the area like the back of your hand finally came useful, pointing you to the perfect alleyway.
Sudden silence takes over, her shadow disappearing like a faded imagination, leaving you to lower your guard, slowing down as your run shifts into a jog as you enter the alley way. You find a wall to lean on, using it as a reinforcement to catch your lost breath, your chest heaving as you shut your eyes.
You open your eyes back slowly before they go wide as you stand before her, her body shading you from the sun as she stood there and watched you, her breath far more recollected than yours. “I win”
You let out a little shriek as you jump up slightly, comepletey taken aback by her presence. How did she beat you here?
“We're quite alike if you really think about it. You know every creek and corner of every street, so does someone like me. You know how to operate a weapon, so do I. And best of all, you know how to lie and convince anyone to do whatever you want them to, and guess what? So do I. So tell me detective, what makes you so different from me?” she interrogated, her words clear and distinct as she scanned every shift in your pupils. Your stomach was in circles at how nervous and scared you were, there was no way out now. You knew you'd either leave here in a stretcher, or in a body bag. She didn't have her physique for show, she was strong and you could tell, her forearms showed her weight capacities, her legs looked like she could suffocate you with them in no effort. You needed a plan B, maybe it was time to stand up for yourself, hoping that will throw her off.
“I dont kill for my own benefit” you spit as you take a step forward, not ready to let her win just yet, you can’t let her scare you.
“Oh, you're a brave one aren't you?” Sevika cooed as she took the challenge, stepping forward as well, your chest ghosting on her shirt.
“It's not bravery, I would need to be scared to be brave, and you don’t scare me” you lie, hoping your locked jaw will convince her otherwise. With your heart on pause, you watch time slow into a still quietude as she glared down at you, attempting to figure out your game, because you both knew this was a dangerous game. You couldn't tell if she was plotting or simply waiting for you to fold, but the tension was quickly melting you to speak up. “I deal with dirt like you everyday, you'll have to do a little more than that to make me scared of you” you scorned.
A little smirk grows on her dark lips, taken aback by your words. “Okay detective, let me see you catch me without the security of a gun and badge, you think you can do that?” Sevika jibed as she lifted the leather hook over her pistol. Grabbing her gun, you back up immediately, only to watch her lower it to the ground, her eyes not leaving yours for an instant.
Fuck.
You watched her stand back up before tossing the gun back a little more with her foot as she crossed her arms over her chest, waiting for your response. Both of you knew sevika would win, there was no question about it. You had your skills of course, but without your badge and gun, you were at a severe disadvantage. It was a game you couldn't win, and deep down, you knew it.
“Show me what you got princess”
