So my roommate just came home with craft supplies, and in explaining to me her plans, she said “and, you probably haven’t read fanfiction, but…” and I just. Yeah, so when I asked her why that is, she said that she thinks I think I’m above fanfiction. Not sure how I feel about this attack.

#it’s was a Valentine’s Day thing where she wanted to write tags from ao3 on popsicle sticks #and then people draw them and have to write like a little story with that tag in mind #and basically what I’m saying here is that on the extremely off chance she ask for help or if I see her and offer to help #which I will if I do.#then I am writing a/b/o dynamics without telling her as revenge I fucking swear to god #idk soulmate goose of enforcement. pwp. KINK NEGOTIATION.#I will search through my drafts to find my long ass list of highly specific tags I think are hilarious no I am not kidding #I wonder if me asking her why she would assume I haven’t read fanfiction gave it away…#argh. probably 🫠#I’m not particularly good at keeping my thoughts out of my tone of voice #because it’s weird being called out for that. cuz like. I’m used to people having no idea what the hell fanfiction is.#so for them to assume that I’m the like normal duck here is… interesting. also empowering. also hurtful.#for all practical intents and purposes most people irl probably view me as something equivalent to a naive midwestern mormon #so I just gotta deal with that
