working on this new piece for fun to try out these iridescent watercolors and gel pens I got. this started out as just a random landscape with some mountains but I realized it looked a lot like Erebor - the lonely mountain, with Laketown and Mirkwood at it's feet so oops lmao. I'm trying to figure out what to add to the foreground here since I was just going to add a few flowers and a fairy circle but that doesn't seem to fit now. I had thought to do the ring since the set came with a nice gold but idk it feels out of place considering I accidentally got the basic layout of the area pretty accurately weirdly. anyone got any ideas for a good foreground addition?

realized I had mislabeled this piece so I'm posting this one again. tried my sketch playthrough drawings of Elden Ring on smaller paper for this one to give more of a travel sketch feel but it was also a lot harder to get any detail in the same amount of time.
