Your post was what convinced me to go in for voting today! I didn't realize how important this election, but after reading your post last night I shifted my plans around and now I'll be voting in it after all. Thanks for your post - it really did make a difference! Here's hoping for another referendum.
Oh my gosh! Thank you so much fortelling me this. This message really made my day.
As much as I wish that voter apathywasn’t a thing, it is. Every vote counts, every single one. In fact, with voterapathy so high, it actually makes your vote more important and powerful than ever.
In the recent local elections, mydad ran to become a Labour councillor (he has no power over Brexit, local councillors’server their community rather than the UK as a whole). He won by only13 votes. 13! When I say every vote counts, I really mean it.

you tagged a Steven Universe post about various off-model stuff with "#and tbh I hate the Rebecca Sugar Face" - what's the 'Rebecca Sugar face'? is it some reoccurring face she draws like the Dreamworks face?
kind of, she has a tendency to overly-detail characters’ eyes and give them giant teeth/small pupils:
it looks super awkward and does not fit with su’s style very well (everything is simple and cartoon-y but then characters suddenly have a billion lines around their eyes). Plus it’s super obvious when she’s drawn the face– sometimes it switches from another boarder’s style to hers mid-sentence like in “It’s Over Isn’t It?” and Peridot’s call to Yellow Diamond; it’s always very jarring

*shoots flare through dashboard*
I was tagged by @ultrajester for this one. Hey, what’s up, my dude?
heres 11 facts about me to anyone who cares (lol)
1. I’m afraid of eels. Dunno why, or when this happened, but I just cant stand ‘em. I mean, have you even searched up a Gulper Eel before? bloody thing looks like it belong in the Twilight Zone.
2. I have Maladaptive Daydreaming Disorder. What does this mean? well, basically, I daydream excessively and have a second world with fleshed out characters and a story in my mind that I have been adding on to for about 9 years. maybe more. Really, as long as I can remember. Its kinda lonely, like being the only one in fandom, where you make all the fanfics. Things can trigger MADD too, such as music, media, art, or basically anything I find interesting. The good thing is it helps me with creative process when it comes to writing. (its not all sunshine and rainbows though) Sometimes I can’t sleep for hours without daydreaming.
3. If I could have a dream job, I’d love to become an author. A fiction author. I’ve always enjoyed reading, I grew up on the harry potter series, Series of unfortunate events, The hunger games, Andy griffiths books, Roald Dahl. I’d just find it absolutely amazing if I created characters that people would cherish or find as a role model.
4. I spent 3 days of my life shiny egg hatching for a mudkip. Got a shiny male mudkip. Named him Tiffany. He can mega evolve too, which is always humorous to see a giant pink buff frog boy called Tiffany.
5. I’m suuuuuuuuuuuper sapphic.
6. My hair (on my head ffs) is currently around 93cm long.
7. I’m Australian. Not really a fact because it’s in my bio but oh well. G’day mate, chuck another shrimp on the barbie.
8. The term ‘chuck another shrimp on the barbie’ is actually false. We don't say shrimp. We say Prawn. Shrimp is what the government wants you to think, we are all in danger. Does this count as a fact about me? you bet it does.
9. I play piano! I’m also a freakin’ nerd because I learnt how to play Fun fun fun Dayo (from Lucky Star). Also, I prefer Dub. hoo boy, but thats a controversial debate though, let me just say that I will watch it subbed if the voice actors are bad dubbed, and visa-vera.
10. (almost done!)...right when I start running out of things to say...I sure do love me some vidya games. Theres really no genre i’m into the most, although I do have a soft spot for nintendo games (Breath of the wild looks sicc). My favourite game is Jak and Daxter: Precursor Legacy. It’s an oldy, but boy does it punch my nostalgia in the boob.
11. One time when I was sick and at home, I decided the best thing I could do was create a language. Or at least, recode the english alphabet into hieroglyphic looking codes. I can write fluently in this code, which i’ve named Zout (After the dutch licorice I was downing while sick, seriously its super helpful for colds). I write quite frequently in my work books in zout, people think i’m crazy, and you know what? maybe I am a little. But we all are, y’know? What do you require to be considered normal anyway?
Wow would you look at that, you actually read all the way through. Or maybe you didn’t. (But hey, to the people that are reading this, you’re super cool and talented.)
Ok ok so who do I tag? whelp, first up, I’m taggin’ @themaskhero, because you my main nintendo fan blog and also you be super cool my dude. Second, I’m taggin’ a new follower of mine, @pictureofaphotograph (omg I love your name dude), aaaaand last...but not least...We gon’ tag @thepsychounicorn, ye whats goin’ on mate, we met at @lord-arden-of-svalgard‘s house remember that? lol alright I’m officially rambling at this point, so THANKS YOU GUYS FOR READING AND PEACE.

themaskhero replied to your post:Cartoon network is still advertising the new SU...
Lapis can’t leave the Crystal Gems now because she’s in too deep (in relation to the homeworld stuff). I think it’s named ‘in too deep’ because of her - it didn’t really apply well to Malachite or the Cluster…
That...legit makes a lot more sense
The only episodes shown in the promos are Watermelon Isle/Gem Drill, and it was going off how both situations were way more than what the gems could handle (which was true: malachite would’ve owned Alexandrite without watermleons and the Cluster would’ve been unleashed without steven/Rose’s gem)
Man that’s really fucking clever since it also works with Lapis and her water motifs, Steven or her or Peri will probably say it to get her to finally stay.

nice setup, but... how do you expect to play WITH NO CONTROLLERS?
Alright you got me……. I have two Nintendo 64′s and that one is in better shape. Everything’s unplugged from that one because the other N64′s got it all hooked up with it elsewhere. :’)

How hot is that character: Samus (out of her suit) from Metroid Fusion
Not My Type | Alright | Cute | Adorable | Pretty | Gorgeous | LORD MERCY
Samus is absolutely gorgeous and yet another character that I want to kick my ass. She’s tall and strong as fuck and hot as hell and I am all about all of that. I would put her under LORD MERCY but I am a little bugged by the lack of visible musculature that she should clearly have. She’s the strongest bounty hunter in the galaxy or whatever she should AT LEAST have a visible six pack.

Hey! You seem to know a lot about black holes, so I was hoping you'd be able to answer a question for me: If you could create a black hole out of nowhere while on Earth, with it appearing on Earth, how big would it have to be (in relation to the Earth or the Sun) to destroy the entire solar system? Thanks!
“a lot about black holes” = “the last chapters in my astronomy textbook in college, a class I took to fulfill a gen-ed”
but shortly the answer is this:
Primordial Black Holes are theorized to be iiiiitty bitty - like proton sized. Scientists did this experiment to tell us what would happen if we got hit by a proton sized-black hole. And the answer is….not much.
Theoretical physicists from the Budker Institute of Nuclear Physics in Russia, and the INTEGRAL Science Data Center in Switzerland, have been pondering this same question, and in a new paper they calculate how we might observe the event should it happen (just in case we didn’t know we had hit something!).
PBHs falling into stars or planets have been thought of before. As previously reviewed in the Universe Today, some observations of the planets and stars could be attributed to small black holes getting trapped inside the gravitational well of the body. This might explain the unusual temperatures observed in Saturn and Jupiter, they are hotter than they should be, the extra heat might be produced by interactions with a PBH hiding inside. If trapped within a star, a PBH might take energy from the nuclear reactions in the core, perhaps bringing on a premature supernova.
[…]
PBHs are theorized to zip straight through matter as if it wasn’t there, but it will leave a mark. As the tiny entity flies through the Earth at a supersonic velocity, it will pump out radiation in the form of electrons and positrons. The total energy created by a PBH roughly equals the energy produced by the detonation of one tonne of TNT, but this energy is thetotal energy it deposits along its path through the Earths diameter, not the energy it produces on impact. So don’t expect a magnificent explosion, we’d be lucky to see a spark as it hits the ground.
http://www.universetoday.com/12837/what-would-happen-if-a-small-black-hole-hit-the-earth/
So not much there. Actually CERN is trying to produce them because theoretically they should just dissipate.
If a – idk golf ball sized black hole hit us, the problem is that the black hole is infinitely dense. My professor suggested that it would bore directly through the core of the earth and that’s the big problem. (hah)
the weight would rip right through us – BUT that’s the earth, not the entire solar system. There’s no way the black hole would become that large “quickly”
Actually (frankly) if the sun became a black hole – pretty much nothing would happen.
It can’t by the way, our sun is too small:
Our Sun is actually too small to end up as a black hole. It simply does not contain enough matter to exert that kind of gravitational force on itself. A star has to be more than about 10 times the mass of our Sun to become a black hole.
But, the gravitational pull of a black hole, or anything else for that matter, depends only on mass and distance, not how large or small the object is. Even I could be a black hole if I were compressed to be more than one thousand billion billion times smaller than a grain of salt. But, you could still stand as close to me as you would for a normal conversation and you would not fall into the “Dr. Marc” black hole, because I would exert no more gravitational force than I do now.
If the Sun were somehow compressed enough to become a black hole, it would be less than 6 kilometers (well under 4 miles) across. It would exert no more gravitational force on Earth or the other planets in the solar system than it does now. Why? Because it would contain no more matter than it does now and it would be no closer to the planets than it is now.
http://spaceplace.nasa.gov/review/dr-marc-sun/black-hole-sun.html
So the answer is “less than four miles of black hole does nothing, really”
A black hole with the mass of 300 million suns would be a supermassive black hole and those are usually in the center of galaxies. they are essentially, really slow eaters. like probably billions of years. if our galaxy was smack up against the thing it’d probably still be a few million years ** total guessing
my answer: they probably just wouldn’t at all thats not what black holes do, really. like you would need a black hole the size of our solar system to directly collide with us. they’re not really good for end of the world scenarios because the reality is they just don’t “eat and destroy everything” the way we think they do.
so no??
my answer is no, a black hole would not be that size.

If we see Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl during a flashback in Story For Steven, do you think their designs will be different or will they just look the same as they did from the start of the series (with Garnet and Pearl's older designs)?
I think a design change is just as likely as a lack of design change as it seems like it takes quite a significant attack and resulting injury for a Gem to succumb and revert to their gem to restore.
Although I would really love to see some quick glimpses at different designs for them!

what tea is best when you're just having tea on its own, and what tea is best when you're also having cake or biscuits or whatev with it?
YOU ASK VERY DIFFICULT QUESTIONS BUT I WILL TRY TO ANSWER
alone mmm green mango is nice and refreshing but mild kind of taste so thats a good one! bengal fire is warm and round and with the spices its very nice to sit and hold it and taste really notice all the flavour. lady grey is a refreshing and energizing! nice for studying
English breakfast is so so so good with a slice of bread with honey im love it.
For cake summer night, that fruity berry fuschia coloured one I bought it at Søstrene Grene it just smells and tastes so good, is good with cake.
Darjeeling is great with english breakfast! the meal, that is. ofc the english breakfast tea is gr8 with english breakfast food too.
For me, who adds like a ton of sugar to my tea, I find that eating something with dragons pearls to like ground it bc its just
that expensive jasmine tea is like drinking flowers (also bc sugarSUGAR), i felt like a some cute elven mage sitting in a magic cafe drinking this tea like the steam should form jasmine flowers and fly away, istg i know what its like to be a hummingbird. oh shit maybe thats why my patronus is a hummingbird, i have had an epiphany.
#writing this i became so much more aware of how much i use google translate#tea stuff#i dont think ppl realize how much i love tea#themaskhero
