Bonus:

I made these as a test to figure out how I’d color the rays. The one on the left has the rays their normal colors. The one on the right has them reversed. I wound up using the right one

Way back in high school, i was super fascinated by owls, and when i was making accounts to post my art to places, I combined that with a part of one of my oc's backstories (a ghost who had tragically died in a house fire) to make burntowl

Now, even as im changing names online yet again, i still hold onto tho the name and variations of it, to keep a part of my younger self with mem and to remind myself of how far i've come

Dr. Coomer puts blankets/lab coats over whoever he finds has fallen asleep on the couch or in the labs.

YEAHHHHHHHHHH

Tommy kinda tends to stay overnight and overwork himself sometimes and Coomer will also be in the office late (typically spending time with Bubby) so when he finds Tommy passed out at his desk he drapes a spare lab coat over his shoulders before leaving for the night

This was also a habit throughout their journey in Black Mesa. Gordon oftentimes had trouble sleeping but the moment he managed to actually pass out Coomer would drape his lab coat over him and it. Honestly helped him sleep better

Also in Black Mesa whenever Benrey would vanish, Coomer would sometimes find him kinda just. Curled up or standing in a corner staring off into space. He had no fucking clue what Benrey was doing but he was just like “Ah! Alien sleep!” and just threw his coat over Benrey because. Dad instinct? Dad instinct

After Black Mesa when he and Bubby can finally live together bc, yknow, Bubby’s not being kept at Black Mesa, Coomer will sometimes come home and find Bubby passed out on the couch so he’ll either 1) Drape a blanket over him 2) Carry him to bed or 3) Both! Can’t go wrong with a blanket burrito

6. What’s the last thing you read that made you laugh?

Ah, gee... see this is a hard one because i am always about the SOFT EMOTIONS in fics i read and not really like... comedy... so while i feel like a few fics ive read recently have had funny things in them i’m just gonna say Code Monkey by yellow_caballero because their combination of prose and timing and characters is just always. a treat. (yes thats hl and not hlvrai but its good everyone go read it)

oooh...... 👀 there are. so many different options... does the concept of monster benrey true form count? because i love monster benreys of all shapes and sizes, tbh. big alien monster man, weird ooze shadow creature, whatever. they are all delightful and charming and nice young men

close second is joshua not actually being real because its just, conceptually, the idea of making up a son on the spot to save yourself minor embarrassment is so fucking funny
