🌿 Describe your favorite outfit. Skinny jeans, black tank top, blue flannel button up (it gets so much mileage), high top sneakers, tattoo choker, maybe a necklace? And at least 2-3 hair elastics on one wrist, because I don't have a whole lot of bracelets.

🌸 Best compliment you ever received? URGHHH admittedly that's a lot of compliments to remember........ I remember hiring a woman a while back and this was during the time I was running HR and the entire Guest Service/Checkout area at work while grabbing carts, and she looks at me in wonder and says "you're a real Renaissance Woman!"

and I'm like... *looks at my name badge, which says "Renae"* ... *looks up at her* ... hell yeah......

It starts with small children because it’s the first time they’ve actually had power over someone and they don’t know any better - if no one gets them to realize what the hell theyre doing it’ll just get worse as they get older

Like - objectively I know this. I’ve been a victim of bullying myself since I was a small kid, so I know how early it starts, and also logically, where it might stem from.

The very concept of it is just so disgusting to me that I can’t seem to wrap my head around it. There are other ways to feel empowered.

Ugh, I just wish it was easier to deal with all of this.

last book you read: The Hunger by Alma Katsu

last book you enjoyed reading: The Hunger by Alma Katsu! A really interesting historical fiction book about the Donner party tragedy. I’m still a bit unsure about how I feel about the supernatural elements in it, but it’s a gripping read! 

last book you hated reading: Ghoster by Jason Arnopp. A crime against literary, if you ask me. Boring plot, cardboard cutout characters, nonsensical “twist” and two-dimensional message. I had to pause every couple paragraphs to scream to my friends about it. 

bonus: (I’m not sure if this is meant to be a bonus fact about me? well that’s how I’m using it, haha~) I really, really like horror! I find it really interesting to see what scares us and what doesn’t, and what it says about us as humans and our ways of living. 

favortite thing to cook/bake: oh!! pumpkin pie, for sure! it’s delicious, it tastes like a warm hug, I love it! 

favorite craft to do in your spare time: writing! I write a lot of fanfics and short stories. I also like doll customizing! 

most niche dislike: Colleagues happily telling me I could always come back to work an extra shift after I’ve had my final shift. Like, I get that they’re coming from a good place and all that, but guys I’m *happy* to leave I haven’t gotten any vacation like the rest of you I’m so fucking tired I don’t wanna come back!!

opinions of circus(es) now and in history: Historically fucked up as all shit, and even if the racism is toned down a bit in present day, there is still the question of animal abuse. However, best case scenario? They can be great places for people with dreams, ambitions and talents that don’t fit in with the usual office job society we live in. 

do you have a sense of direction and if not what is the worst way you ever got lost: oh noooot at all I’ve been lost in my own home town, which is even more embarrassing considering just how small it is- but the worst thing would probably be when I missed a theatre practice because they switched the location and I mistook “x-way” for “x-road”, and went about an hour in the wrong direction... god admitting that to my theatre group was humilating haha

scream: what’s ur favorite movie?

Honestly??? It’s a pretty close tie between Hercules and Atlantis, which.......likely.......isn’t the response expected from me, pfffft. But I watched both a mILLION times as a kid, and to this day, both just fill me with that warm, fuzzy nostalgia feeling that can’t be beat. Plus, both are stylistically very lovely, and who can resist singing along with the Muses??? Not me, that’s for damn sure.

NooooOOOoOOOoOOOOOOOO I CAN’T!!!

Genuinely, I’m not sure I could pinpoint one book as being my favorite, but I will say that House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski is the one that sticks out in my mind the MOST. It’s the most unique book I’ve ever read, absolutely, and 100% a HUGE influence in terms of how I (try to) write horror!

alice, sweet alice: what would u describe ur style as?

Fashion-wise? Bad! Lazy nerd baby who got a gift card to Hot Topic.

Writing-wise? ALSO BAD! Too many commas, doesn’t know how to use semi-colons, uses repetition for emphasis TOO MUCH!!!

Speaking-wise? The WORST! Very loud! Doesn’t know when to stop! Does weird voices even when they’re not funny (ESPECIALLY when they’re not funny). Makes strange noises in front of friends’ family members. 0/10 would not recommend.
